Created on 4chan, ''Disney Villains Victorious'' is [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin exactly that]], a world where the villains ''won''. From high on Bald Mountain, Chernabog acts as the lord of all darkness. The world is now the plaything of the villains of Disney, and even a few that aren't. The people under them live now in fear of everything from Empress Yzma's mad experiments to the sea monsters of Ursula of All-Oceans.

Yet still, there is hope. Across the planet there as still those willing to fight against these evils. Be they human, beast, or anything in-between, there are still those willing to fight against darkness. To be a sign of hope in a world of despair. To become heroes of lost ages.

!!Tropes in Disney Villains Victorious:

* AffablyEvil: Imperial President Rourke, Dr. Facilier, and Chairman Cutler Beckett are all some of the most polite and pleasant villains in the setting.
* AllAnimationIsDisney: [InUniverse] Several villains and characters aren't owned by Disney but are still present, presumably because of this trope.
* AncientGrome: [[WesternAnimation/{{Hercules}} Olympia]] is this sort of land, crawling with mythological beasts and patrolled by the Titans.
* AntiVillain: Some of the kings are this
* ApocalypseHow: Considering the whole premise of the setting is that the villains won, many places have ongoing apocalypses in them, but nearly all of them are class zeroes.
* ArabianNightsDays: The Sultanate of Agrabah.
* BadassNormal:
** Gen. Santa Anna and Cutler Beckett are up against sea monsters, evil cults, and brutal empires, and hold their ground despite it.
** Then there is also [[WesternAnimation/{{Brave}} The Land of the Bear]]. Despite being a neighbor to an expansionist empire with an army of invincible, undead warriors, there is only [[BearsAreBadNews one inhabitant.]]
** [[Anime/PrincessMononoke Lady Eboshi]] manages to keep Irontown/Tataraba reasonably prosperous and free in the midst of a perpetual ''six''-way fight between Ursula, the Huns, Davy Jones, the East India Company, Atlantis, and [[{{Youkai}} the local spirits]] over who should control Japan.
* CanonImmigrant: [[WesternAnimation/TheRoadToElDorado Tzekel-Kan]] rules most of Central America, despite being a Dreamworks villain.
** [[WesternAnimation/SinbadLegendOfTheSevenSeas Sinbad]] is one of the pirate lords of the Brethren Court, with Davy Jones being put off by how similar he acts to another former lord.
** [[WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon2 Drago Bludvist]] is also a Pirate Lord.
* CorruptChurch:
** Frollo, having become a near-immortal lich, now rules as the pope, and leads the inquisition in burning out heresy wherever it can be found.
** The Virginians have a much more homegrown, Protestant sort of CorruptChurch, but they're more than willing to break out the lynch mob if needs be.
** Tzekel Kan uses his power as High Priest of El Dorado to rule the land and uses his religious power to get rid of any outsiders by way of human sacrifice, which also fuels his magic powers.
* DealWithTheDevil: Dr. Facilier and his Friends on the Other Side will both try to pressure you into a deal that will always benefit them more than you.
* DeathByAdaptation: Too many to count; simply put, nearly all the heroes are either dead or [=MIA=].
%% * EndlessWinter: Elsa has turned Arendelle into this.
* ElementalEmbodiment: The [[WesternAnimation/Fantasia2000 Firebird]] patrols the Spirit Wilds beneath the earth, ready to wreak havoc on whoever dares to desecrate the landscape.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[WesternAnimation/{{Brave}} King Ferguson]] has joined the Huntsmen Club
* GaiasVengeance: The Spirit Realm has some elements of this but those that are in harmony with the earth can avoid any problems.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: ''Anywhere'' a female ruler has taken power, but three spring readily to mind.
** Empress Yzma has spent so long experimenting on her subjects and turning them into animal chimeras, they literally could not be bothered to care about what's been done to them anymore.
** Ursula has essentially become all the oceans, and no nation can move across the waves without both her prior approval and making her a deal.
** Elsa, the Frozen Queen, essentially drove her own people out and away from her kingdom, leaving her alone with her snowlems.
* GreatWhiteHunter: All members of the Elite Global Huntsmans Club, a group of hunters that claimed Australia as theirs (although they often make use of [[WesternAnimation/{{Up}} Charles Muntz's palatial zeppelin]] as a mobile base) and whose ranks include [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast Gaston]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Tarzan}} Clayton]], [[WesternAnimation/OneHundredAndOneDalmatians Cruella]], and the club's leader, [[WesternAnimation/TheRescuersDownUnder McLeach]].
* TheFairFolk: [[WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty Maleficent]] is their queen, and they rule a large portion of France, much to the chagrin of [[TheFundamentalist Frollo]].
* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: A spectacularly dark example of this. The core version of the setting only explored Disney villains (with one or two Dreamworks villains), with planned expansions either adding more villains to the "core" adventure or going for a full-blown AlternateUniverse.
* LaResistance: Several throughout the world.
** The Rescue and Truth society.
* MixAndMatchCritters: Thanks to Yzma, nearly all subjects in her kingdom have gained some kind of animalistic trait.
* {{Mordor}}: There are a variety of them.
** [[WesternAnimation/TheBlackCauldron The Kingdom of the Cauldron]], a land covered in poisonous fog which brings the [[NightOfTheLivingMooks dead to life]] to serve the Horned King. Those poor souls who still are alive there will eventually have to [[FlayedAlive pay their]] [[DemBones tax]] to the King.
** The last land is [[WesternAnimation/{{Fantasia}} Bald Mountain]], spanning from the Balkans to the Ural Mountains. This is the seat of power of Chernabog, and is [[HellOnEarth completely uninhabitable]]. Only the strongest heroes can even hope to enter here unscathed.
* {{Mayincatec}}: El Dorado is the classic flavor, while The Sunless Empire leans on the Incan side of the spectrum, with plenty AnachronismStew to fit the zanier tone of ''WesternAnimation/TheEmperorsNewGroove''.
* OurLichesAreDifferent: [[WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney Frollo]] is some kind of skeletal undead sorcerer... thing.
** Likewise, [[WesternAnimation/TheBlackCauldron the Horned King]].
* SchizoTech: With the nations involved ranging from the Classical Era to the Industrial Age, the odds of a group of heroes piecing together their tech is more than likely.
* SkyPirate: Captain Hook decided to forget about piracy on the high seas, and instead took to the open air.
* SpeakOfTheDevil:
** It is wise to not speak Chernabog's true name.
* {{Splat}}: The system is pretty flexible with character creation overall: Instead of classes there are five "Basic Roles" which players can choose from, based on one of the five attributes. Players will also eventually choose a secondary role to give another dimension to their character.
** [[ActionHero The Strong Guy]]
** [[FragileSpeedster The Agile Guy]]
** [[ScienceHero The Smart Guy]]
** The Sensible Guy
** [[GuileHero The Charming Guy]]
** Among the Kingdoms, there are three main splats: The King (who's in charge), the Land (what sort of dangers there are), and the Rule (how the King reacts to the players).
* TalkingAnimal: There are many animal kingdoms throughout the world. While talking animals can hail from anywhere, these lands are ruled by animal kings:
** [[WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994 The Pridelands]]: A desolate African wasteland ruled by King Scar.
** [[WesternAnimation/TheJungleBook1967 The Shere Khanate]]: The majority of India is ruled by Sher Khan, although it is one of the more contested regions of the world. The Subjugate of Kaa is a vassal state of the Sher Khanate and is home to Kaa and [[spoiler:his prisoner, [[Franchise/WinnieThePooh Christopher Robin]]]]. Bagheera also still survives and leads an underground resistance movement, the Free Creatures.
** [[WesternAnimation/TheJungleBook1967 The Kingdom of the Flower]]: King Louie finally got his hand on the Red Flower, and uses it [[KillItWithFire liberally]] to assert his authority in Indochina.
** [[WesternAnimation/TheGreatMouseDetective The Under-Empire]]: Professor Ratigan holds a [[LondonGangster monopoly]] on all the {{Civilized Animal}}s who live beneath the urban centers of the world.
** [[Film/BedknobsAndBroomsticks The Island of Naboombu]]: A small island off the coast of Africa ruled by [[{{Jerkass}} King Leonidas]]. Also home to [[WesternAnimation/RobinHood1973 Prince John]] who sulks there among the other large {{Civilized Animal}}s because he was unable to hold his own against the Horned King.
* VillainWorld: The setting is one where many of the Disney villains have won and divided the world between them, making it this.

!!Tropes in Gridlocked:

Focused on more "contemporary" films and TV shows, Gridlocked focuses on the United States and the villains that won there. Featuring advanced technology, magitek, superpowers, and aliens, villains run from the comically inept Heinz Doofenschmirtz to the diabolical David Xanatos.

* AffablyEvil: Xanatos, par for the course.
* AncientConspiracy: The Illuminati and Freemasons, though their motives and goals are left up to storyteller interpretation.
* ApocalypseHow: The Toxic Jungle is a class zero, but if it were to spread out of Winsconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, it'd rank up several levels.
** Other Class Zeroes are the Tempest Domain, [=BnL=] Wasteland, and DOR-15 INC.
** On a much larger scale note, Bill Cipher has a Class 0 contained within the Oregon Triangle, but if he is able to get out of the triangle, he'd cause a full on Class Z, bringing Wierdmageddon to an Omniversal Scale.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: Present through the Toxic Jungle in what used to be Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
* CorporateConspiracy: America is ''rife'' with these in Gridlocked. While Xanatos is unsurprisingly the master of the game, the presence of other megacorporations like DrakkTech and Kronos Corp mean he finally has some competition.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: An overwhelming majority of the kings in Gridlocked.
* {{Cyberpunk}}
* DeathWorld: Well, Death Region really. Central Oregon, Minnesota, Michigan, and the entire Midwest and South are either entirely hostile or ruled by kings even more dangerous than the others.
* GasLeakCoverUp: The US Government is masking the alien activity in Hawaii as a flubber meltdown.
* GovernmentConspiracy: The FBI, CIA, and several other agencies have had to come together in order to keep the United States from completely falling apart, under the nose of their president and the entire country.
* LaResistance
** The Toontown Red Car helps spirit toons out of other regions and is made up of toons and their human allies.
* LotusEaterMachine: Literally in the case of the crashed Axiom. It's pointed out that the passengers haven't even realized they've ''landed'', and any captured humans are forced by AUTO to become part of the passenger manifest.
* TheMafia: Though not a major player compared to the other villains, Bill Sykes rules the criminal underworld through Xanatos' territory. All according to plan.
* {{Magitek}}: Plays heavily into the setting, primarily through Xanatos.
* MindControl: DOR-15 relies on this to continually expand her rule.
* OurPresidentsAreDifferent: President Martinez walks the lines of Buffoon, Personable, and Puppet, though it's emphasized that he's just as concerned about his citizens as his original incarnation.
* PoliceState
** Zootopia has many elements of a police state with regular evening curfews & increased police focus on particular areas.
** The Galactic Federation rules Hawaii with an iron fist, though the US government has been able to use skilled legalese to at least gain the right to move on and off the islands.
* TalkingAnimal: The citizens of Zootopia, St. Canard, Cape Suzette, and the Calisota Conglomerate.
* UrbanFantasy: Xanatos' control of New York is heavily modeled on this style. The Manhattan Clan, the Huntsmen, the Sykes Crime family and independent sorcerers fight in the shadows.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Multiple villains, even more so due to the more public nature of Gridlocked. Syndrome, Waternoose, and Xanatos all keep up relatively good public facades to ensure they have control of their regions. Doofenschmirtz is too incompetent to truly scare anyone, and Shego just doesn't give a damn.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: The Galactic Federation of Planets believes it truly is doing what it needs to in order to preserve all life on Earth and the endangered mosquito population. The people still living on the Hawaiian Islands will probably disagree.
* Zeerust: The city's under Syndrome's domain usually have this aesthetic.

!!Tropes in Beyond:

Focuses on films and shows set in space.

* CyberneticsEatYourSoul: Captain Silver's cybernetics have expanded to the point that he's basically a robot containing a few organs. It's also stated that, despite his boistrous and bragadotious facade, he's a hollow shell of a man.
* GoodIsBadAndBadIsGood: The Rule of Sector Z.
* HiveMind: Zerg has used the Unimind to implant a portion of his conscious in the minds of Sector Z's citizens, allowing him to fully control them.
* PointOfDivergence: The major turning point for Silver is that he chose Flint's treasure over Jim.

!!Tropes in Drums of War:

A wargame set in the Villains Victorious world.
----

!!Tropes in Cruel Network:

Focusing on the wide menagerie of villains in Cartoon Network

!!Tropes in Rock Bottom:

A setting centered around the villains in Nickelodeon

!!Tropes in Saturday Mourning:
