''The Homestuck RPG'' is a long-running play-by-post game based on ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' on the Roleplay/{{Bay 12|PlayByPostGames}} game forum. Run by Blade Master Model 42, it chronicles the adventures of eight teenage children from Earth playing the SBURB beta. However, things start to get out of hand when more then a few people start messing with their game.

The game is played with the Homestuck D&D 4E rulebook found [[http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread.php?33724-The-Homestuck-tabletop-RPG-SYLLADEX-DECK-CREATOR-v-2 here]]. The eight main players are as follows:

* ALEXANDER EMMERSON, the Mage of Rage (Blade Master Model 42)
* DANIELLE CARROWS, the Heir of Blood (Theros Pherae)
* STEVE JEFFERSON, the Sage of Hope (The Fool)
* EMILY MCTRESS, the Knight of Breath (applesauce machine)
* TROY LESAL, the Seeker of Time (Riccto)
* MIKHEAL METAXAS, the Knight of Mind ([=Johnfalcon99977=])
* CLAIRE CHANG, the Thief of Void (Sir Aaron III)
* MIMI MANSON, the Seer of Space (freeformschooler)

The game was abandoned in 2012. It can be found [[http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=93086.0 here]].

!!This game provides examples of:
* AnAdventurerIsYou: Being based on Homestuck, each character has a "title" such as Mage of Rage that they grow to understand as they play through the game. Since the game is D&D-based, their title also determines their options in combat.
%% * AliensSpeakingEnglish: Every single one of the intruders except testingBeta and possibly blackTemplar.
* AmusingAlien: Though the intruders (who are mostly non-human) interfere with the session and its players once in a while, they're largely [[PlayedForLaughs played for laughs]] via their attempts to troll and annoy the players.
* TheAtoner: repentantAntagonist is [[spoiler:actually Alex from a failed timeline. Instead of being pacified by Danielle, he killed her and others and now seeks to atone for what he did by preventing the same thing from happening in other iterations of the session.]] Thankfully, [[spoiler:he was successful in this one.]]
%% * AnAxeToGrind: Alex's primary weapon.
%% * {{BFS}}: Mikhael's sword.
%% * BigBad: Just as in Homestuck proper, the Black King and Queen.
%% * BigDamnHeroes: Emily's rescue. DA's reaction, however, was fairly anti-climactic.
* BroughtDownToNormal: [[PlayfulHacker testingBeta]] ''can'' hack the session while in it, he just avoids it due to the possible consequences of screwing up. Now that he's crash-landed on Emily's planet, he can only use his TimeTravel powers to help him.
%% * CasualKink: Emily, but she hides it.
%% * CombatClairvoyance: What Steve's power as the Seer of Hope seems to be. Not to say it's accurate, though.
%% * DarkerAndEdgier: SBURB has frightening undertones by necessity, but certain character arcs (like [[spoiler:Alex's brother's execution]] and TE's double-ascension) put this into full effect.
* ExperiencePoints: Brought up in-story. It's the reason the intruders (except for [[ComicallyInvincibleHero blackTemplar]]) don't assist the main characters in battle: if they did, they'd steal experience from them, preventing them from reaching the highest in-game level.
%% * FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:blackTemplar.]]
%% * FunctionalMagic: Danielle's [[spoiler:Blood-y Thing. Up until its use, the power-aware players had at best limited version of PsychicPowers.]]
* HairTriggerTemper: Danielle is easily annoyed and often frustrated. [[BloodKnight blackTemplar]] pushes her over the edge when he lands on her planet and proceeds to baby her for the rest of the session.
* HearingVoices: All the Derse dreamers, but most notably Mikhael. [[spoiler:The [[EldritchAbomination voices from outside the session]] told him to kill Alex. He's so far been contested on who to trust.]]
* HopeBringer: Most of the kids are apparently supposed to be this on their Land. Emily's consorts are starving and part of Danielle's Land was burnt to the ground, for example. So far, only Troy has been successful in helping any of the consorts with their problems.
%% * InfinityMinusOneSword: The broken Ragnarok.
* ItemCrafting: As expected of a ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}''-based story. However, being an RPG (rather than just an "RP" like many Homestuck-based adventures), alchemizing new items, weapons and armor is necessary for survival.
* LostTechnology: The computer stations on every land of indeterminate origin. One of the few advantages the players currently have over the Dersites is they know where a working one is.
* MercifulMinion: '''DA.''' Not only does he [[spoiler:pretty much willingly give back Emily, he's also working to overthrow the Queen. And if he'd thought Emily was one of the players, he wouldn't have kidnapped her.]]
* TheMole: DA, an otherwise unidentified agent of Derse, seeks to overthrow the Black Queen.
%% * {{Mooks}}: Imps. Poor, poor imps.
%% * OccultDetective: What Troy sees himself as.
%% * OmnicidalManiac: toenailEater's SuperpoweredEvilSide after his ascension.
* ParentalAbandonment: All the kids' guardians disappeared as soon as they entered the session. [[spoiler:With a couple deadly exceptions.]]
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: While most player character disappearances and deaths have been explained or at least [[HandWave Hand Waved]] away, the reasoning was real life interfering.
%% * RightUnderTheirNoses: Steve attempted this with the agents of Derse. He almost succeeded, but was unfortunately discovered by the Black Queen.
%% * TheStoic: Claire is the definitive example of this in the session.
* TimeParadox: Subverted. Troy attempted to greet Mimi in the past. However, since he hadn't met her at the time, SBURB didn't let him do that.
%% * TimeTravel: Troy ever since he gained his device from [[StableTimeLoop his future self]].
