Chessington World of Adventures is a theme park located in Surrey, England. It is one of the country's leading attractions. Like its sister parks Ride/AltonTowers and Ride/ThorpePark it is currently being run by Merlin Entertainments Ltd., and caters for the family market. Its popularity is thanks to John Wardley, ride concept designer for Tussauds and now Merlin's creative consultant who revolutionised the British theme park industry from the late 1980s to the early 2000s, who developed the park through theatrical brilliance.

The theme park combines themed lands, themed to different parts of the world, with an award-winning zoo. The mansion at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, known as Burnt Stub Manor, was originally built in 1348, in Chessington, Surrey. In the English Civil War it became a royalist stronghold, and Oliver Cromwell's Parliamentary forces razed it to the ground. The Burnt Stub site was rebuilt as an inn, until the 18th century, when the Vere Barker family rebuilt it in neo-gothic Victorian style. Today, it is normally used for private events.

The park is noted for its rollercoasters:

* Runaway Mine Train: A rollercoaster located in the Calamity Canyon area, which goes through a cave feature. Not to be confused with a coaster of the same name at Ride/AltonTowers. Opened in 1987.
* The Vampire: The UK's first suspended roller coaster, with a very detailed queue line and station, and a Gothic theme. Opened in 1990, along with the rest of the Uberwald Transylvania area.

Other notable rides include:

* Professor Burp's Bubbleworks: A boat ride around a crazy fizzy pop factory run by the German-accented Professor Burp. Opened in 1990, along with the rest of the Transylvania area. Re-branded as an Imperial Leather ride, then re-themed again as Literature/TheGruffalo River Ride Adventure
* Dragon River: A log flume located in the Mystic East area, with one of the drops located in-between two stone faces of Angkor Wat. Opened in 1987. Later rethemed in 2017 to Tiger Rock, with it being themed around... well, guess, complete with an actual tiger exhibit.
* Tomb Blaster: A light-gun dark ride through an Ancient Egyptian tomb. Opened in 2002.
* Griffin's Galleon: A swinging pirate ship located in the Smugglers' Cove area. Opened in 1988, along with the rest of the area.
* [=SeaStorm=]: A SeaStorm ride located in the Smugglers' Cove area. Opened in 1995.
* Safari Skyway: A monorail which gives guests a bird's eye tour of the Chessington Zoo, lawn of Burnt Stub Manor and Burnt Stub Manor itself. Opened in 1986, when the theme park was still Chessington Zoo.
