[=SpongeBob=] searches every inch of the world for snail food that Gary is addicted to.

!!Tropes:

* AnAesop:
** Saying "no" can be hard, but it's important to know when to say it.
** If you're bothered by someone, tell them to stop; if they don't stop, ask another person for help.
** It's important to be firm to someone, even if it could hurt their feelings.
** Don't be afraid to deliver the harsh truth to someone. They can be more mature than they seem.
* BabyTalk: [=SpongeBob=] repeatedly mentions throughout the episode he just can't say no to his "widdle Gare-Bear".
* BigNo: Gary does one, in the form of a meow combined with the scenery shaking, when he and [=SpongeBob=] finds that Harold told them they sold out of them.
* BrokenRecord:
** Gary's meowing.
** The Snail Bites commercial; all they say is "Snail Bites!" over and over.
* CannotSpitItOut: [=SpongeBob=] cannot bring himself to say no to his "widdle Gare-Bear", fearing it'll hurt his feelings. It's only through Patrick's help that he does so, which in turn finally makes Gary stop.
* ColdTurkeysAreEverywhere: [=SpongeBob=] tries multiple times to deny the snail bites for Gary, but is continuously tempted to do so. Even Gary tries to bribe him with a picture of the time [=SpongeBob=] first got him from the pound before [=SpongeBob=] finally sees through and tells him no.
* ContinuityNod: [[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS7E20TheAbrasiveSideEarworm This wasn't the first time [=SpongeBob=] had trouble saying no.]]
* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: The whole plot of the episode never would've happened if [=SpongeBob=] just told Gary "no," which he eventually does. Then again, Gary possibly made [=SpongeBob=] go on this wild goose chase just so he'll be sterner.
* Determinator: [=SpongeBob=] will not stop looking for Snail Bites until he has searched every last pet store in the world. He does.
* DumbassHasAPoint: Patrick brings up a good point that [=SpongeBob=] needs to be firm and just tell Gary no; otherwise, he'll be meowing forever.
-->[=SpongeBob=]: But I don't want to say no to my widdle Gare-Bear! I want him to be happy.\
Patrick: Well, you gotta be firm, [=SpongeBob=]! Sometimes, you have to no when to say "know". Oh, wait, wait, wait, it's the other way around. You have to know when to say no. Yeah, that's it.
* EatingPetFood: Patrick likes to eat Snail Bites, and even acquired the last box of them.
* ExcitedEpisodeTitle: "Treats!"
* ExtremeDoormat: [=SpongeBob=] to his own pet.
* FullNameUltimatum: [=SpongeBob=] calls Gary "Gary Wilson, Jr." when trying to stop his Snail Bites addiction late at night.
* GrewASpine: [=SpongeBob=] cannot bring himself to say no to Gary over the Snail Bites; it's not until he gets advice from Patrick that he finally learns to just say no, causing Gary to stop.
* HereWeGoAgain: In the end, it turns out Patrick has finished the last box of Snail Bites and now he starts meowing for it.
* ImpossiblyDeliciousFood: The Snail Bites. No wonder they've become discontinued so fast.
* Irony: [=SpongeBob=] can't say no to his "wittle Gare-Bear"; as it turns out, saying no is the only way to get Gary to stop.
* MisspellingOutLoud: The worker at the Snail Bites Factory when [=SpongeBob=] and Gary try to get more snail bites.
-->Factory worker: We're closed! Do I have to spell it out for you? C-S-L-O-S-Z-E-D. Cuh-losed!
* OverlyLongGag: Gary constantly meowing for more Snail Bites.
* SecretTest: Implied. Gary seems to want Snail Bites even after they're discontinued, but once [=SpongeBob=] tells him no, he stops, hinting he was testing [=SpongeBob=]'s inability to be stern.
* ShaggyDogStory: After everything [=SpongeBob=] goes through, Gary stops bothering him by just being told "no."
* SuddenSoundtrackStop: When [=SpongeBob=] is trying to say no to Gary, Gary bribes him by showing the picture he got Gary at the pound; the sponge is briefly flattered with a happy tune to match, but once he realizes what's going on, the music suddenly stops as the sponge finally begins to give his word.
* TemptingFate: "I can't say no to my little Gare-Bear!" Turns out he has to.

Plankton wins a Krabby Patty in a guessing contest, but Mr. Krabs is determined to stop him from getting it.

!!Tropes:

* ArtisticLicense: Guessing the right amount of objects, like the rule Mr. Krabs gives for the contest, would be physically impossible to do so in real life, so most contests have the winner guessing closest to the correct count. Mind you, considering what a cheapskate Krabs is, he probably did this on purpose to try and prevent anyone from actually winning.
* TheBadGuyWins: Plankton guesses the exact number of bun seeds, including one stuck to the inside of the jar lid, thus he wins the patty. Inverted later when Mr. Krabs forces him to swallow it, and even though Plankton cuts it out of his stomach, he can't analyze the contents correctly due to his stomach contents being mixed with the patty, and the Krabby Patties he tries to sell taste awful.
* BottleEpisode: Most of the episode is set in the Krusty Krab, with a brief scene of the Chum Bucket near the end.
* CannotSpitItOut: When announcing the contest, Mr. Krabs struggles to say the word "free" until [=SpongeBob=] slaps him on the back.
* ExplainExplainOhCrap: After Mr. Krabs disposes of all the buns to prevent [=SpongeBob=] from being able to make a Krabby Patty for Plankton, a delivery guy shows up.
-->[=SpongeBob:=] Huh, good thing I ordered us extra bu... (slowly realizes his error) ...for the... contest crowd.
* FunWithFlushing: To prevent [=SpongeBob=] from being able to give Plankton his free Krabby Patty, Mr. Krabs flushes all the buns down the toilet. Unfortunately for him, [=SpongeBob=] ordered extra buns for the contest crowd. At the end of the episode, Mr. Krabs orders [=SpongeBob=] to retrieve the buns he flushed just so he doesn't have to order more.
* JarOfJellybeansContest: With bun seeds instead of jellybeans, but otherwise it is this trope.
* PuppetShow: Mr. Krabs puts one on as a way to stall Plankton from getting a Krabby Patty.
* PyrrhicVictory: Mr. Krabs turns Plankton's plan on him by actually having him eat the Krabby Patty; because of this, the patty ingredients combined with his stomach contents make a rather awful recipe.
* RunningGag: Mr. Krabs continuously invents new rules for the contest in an attempt to stop Plankton from getting his patty.
* SadisticChoice: Mr. Krabs is forced by the Bogus Business Bureau to allow Plankton to guess the number of bun seeds in the jar and be given the Krabby Patty he won, or have the Krusty Krab be shut down. Mr. Krabs decides to TakeAThirdOption and instead turns Plankton's plan on him by having him actually eat the patty he won before leaving.
* SkipTheAnesthetic: After Mr. Krabs forces Plankton to eat and swallow the Krabby Patty he won, Plankton rushes back to the Chum Bucket and orders Karen to perform surgery on him right away to get the patty out of his stomach. Karen asks Plankton if she should apply anesthetic first, but Plankton tells her there isn't time for that, as they have to get the patty out before it's digested. Unfortunately, by that time, the patty is already half-digested, much to the horror of the customers who tried to order Krabby Patties from the Chum Bucket.
* TakeAThirdOption: After Plankton wins the contest, Mr. Krabs is forced by the Bogus Business Bureau to either give him the patty, or let him go, but the Krusty Krab shuts down. Mr. Krabs then decides to turn Plankton's plan on him by having him actually eat the free patty before leaving the restaurant, which in turn results in his patties become disgusting thanks to it being mixed with his stomach contents.
