1	Pain has been defeated, but things are still looking bad for Konoha, which needs to be rebuilt. Sakura sets out a plan to kill Sasuke. With Tsunade unconscious, Danzo has become the sixth Hokage with the intention of killing Sasuke. Meanwhile, Naruto goes to the land of Iron and tries to convince the Fourth Raikage to spare Sasuke's life, and surprisingly enough, he fails. He then gets attacked by Tobi, who just wants to warn him about the upcoming fight to death against Sasuke.

3	The five Kages are forced to come together in a summit to plan action against Akatsuki. As they agree to ally with each other, Sasuke comes in with the intent of killing Danzo, and a battle begins between the Kages/their assistants/the Samurai and Team Hawk. Danzo escapes with his bodyguards.

5	Sasuke is saved from doom by Tobi, who explains his plan to the Kages and escapes. He retrieves Danzo and unleashes Sasuke to kill him. However, as he's about to die, Danzo kills himself. Sakura then comes to kill Sasuke, but she is soon defeated and would die, if not for Kakashi. Kakashi then prepares to face Sasuke.

9	* AllPowerfulBystander: Tobi served as this during the Sasuke vs. Danzo fight. Tobi is clearly on a different level and probably could've easily ended Danzo if he wanted to. However, he decided to sit by and let the newly revenge-driven Sasuke take on Danzo alone. Though, it was clear if things were looking bad for Sasuke, Tobi isn't afraid to step in.
10	* AnArmAndALeg: A loses his left arm to Sasuke when he attacked Sasuke's Susanoo armor covered with Amaterasu's black flames. [[WorthIt He does cause major damage to Sasuke in the process]] but Sasuke ends up being healed shortly after making the attack worthless.
11	* AssholeVictim: Even though all the things he did was for the sake of Konoha, Danzo definitely qualifies under this after his death by Sasuke. Considering he [[spoiler:brainwashes his own subordinates and allowed Pain to destroy Konoha without doing a damn thing to help out]], it's hard to mourn his loss. Even the other people treated his death as more of a surprise rather than something tragic.
12	* AxCrazy: Any sanity Sasuke had before is completely gone during this arc.
13	* TheBadGuyWins: This is sorta played with. Danzo finally managed to become the Sixth Hokage (though it was not fully established at the time) through questionable means (mainly purposely sitting on the sidelines allowing Konoha to be destroyed by Pain which made Tsunade look bad; doesn't help she was in a coma at the time when Danzo was promoted). However, he only did this as he was convinced he was the solution to his village's problems.
14	** However, definitely played straight with Sasuke defeating Danzo. Even though both sides are by no means [[EvilVersusEvil good]], Danzo at least wanted to protect Konoha. Sasuke made it clear he wanted to destroy the entire village killing many people within as well.
15	* BerserkButton: Now, speaking ill about Itachi sends Sasuke flying into a rage. Especially if your name is "Danzo."
16	* BigDamnHeroes: A coming in just in time to help his brother Killer B from Kisame and later, Kakashi saves Sakura from being killed by Sasuke.
17	* BlowYouAway: Danzo, as seen in battle, is shown to use a lot of Wind Release techniques from wind bullets to [[RazorWind wind]] [[SpellBlade blades]].
18	* BodyHorror: Danzo my goodness! [[spoiler:Not only his arm has a bunch of Sharingan on it but his body as some cells of the first Hokage curiosity of Orchimaru. When Danzo was finally beat, he lost control of the cells and gigantic tree sprouted from his body]]!

20	** Oh man Sai definitely. Even though he didn't mean anything malicious about it and was clearly [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone upset for saying it]], Sai told Sakura that Naruto keeps risking his life bring back Sasuke because of his promise to her and it was because of that promise that almost ends up with Naruto dying each time. Basically, Sakura is the reason for Naruto's pain and Sakura did NOT take this well and decides to go on a quest to kill Sasuke herself.
21	** Also A's speech to Naruto. He harshly tells Naruto that a shinobi shouldn't try to plea for a criminal (in this case Sasuke) believing it's foolish and stupid. Naruto's only response to this is keeping his head down in the snow and [[BrokenTears crying]].
22	* CurbstompBattle:
23	** Sasuke stood NO chance fighting off all 5 Kage. He was also getting his ass kicked by A, the Fourth Raikage.
24	** Later, Kisame after merging with Samehada was actually owning Killer B! That is until his [[BigDamnHeroes brother A showed up]] and the two of them returned the favor.
25	* CurbstompCushion: After completely dominating Sasuke and his team in the previous arc, you think Killer Bee will have an easier time with Kisame. However, Kisame was a ''very'' strong opponent thanks to his EnergyAbsorption and actually almost killed Bee. Furthermore, Bee was on the opposite side of the trope during his fight against Sasuke and Team Taka, acknowledging that they were the toughtest opponents he fought yet.
26	* EvilVersusEvil: Sasuke vs. Danzo is this in spades. Though it's more of "Someone hell bent on revenge for his brother" vs. "Someone hell bent on protecting his village by any means necessary."
27	* FalseConfession: This is the arc where Sakura tells her infamous false love confession to Naruto. Not only Naruto easily sees through it, he [[WhatTheHellHero calls her out on it]] and says that he ''hates'' people who lies to themselves like that and decides he'll bring back Sasuke on his own terms rather than for Sakura. It's pretty clear that any affection Naruto had for Sakura at this point is [[ShipSinking completely gone]].
28	* FusionDance: Kisame is able to merge with Samehada to become a more shark-like creature enhancing is strength immensely.
29	* HandicappedBadass: Despite losing his dominate arm to Sasuke, A's fighting prowess hasn't decreased one bit. It definitely helps that his fighting style doesn't revolve around wielding HandSeals.
30	* HeelFaceTurn: Sorta kinda. Samehada actually prefers Killer B's massive chakra over Kisame's and actually supplies B with Kisame's own chakra healing him. It even attacked Kisame when the latter tried to grab him. However, {{Foreshadowing}} comes into play here. [[spoiler:Turns out that the "Kisame" that B fought around the time Samehada was actually a White Zetsu clone impersonating the real Kisame who was hiding inside Samehada at the time. Of course Samehada will reject the White Zetsu-disguised Kisame as Killer B has WAY more chakra than White Zetsu while Kisame himself is always well known for his massive reserves of chakra]].
31	* HeroicBSOD: Poor Naruto... After recently being told off by the Fourth Raikage for wanting to spare Sasuke and hearing from Sai that Sakura was going to kill Sasuke herself, Naruto actually has a panic attack and passes out for a little while. You have to remember the poor kid is only 15...
32	* JerkassHasAPoint: Even if he was extremely harsh and blunt about it, the Fourth Raikage, A had a good reason to still go after Sasuke despite Naruto constantly pleading with him not too. Recently, Sasuke has not only joined the Akatsuki (which is the biggest criminal organization in the world at the time) but he also invaded the Cloud and kidnapped A's younger brother Killer Bee. Not to mention killed some Cloud ninja. It's really hard not to take A's side over Naruto where it's clear that Sasuke was labeled a "rogue ninja" that needed to be killed off.
33	* KilledOffForReal: Danzo and Kisame are both killed off during this arc. However, [[spoiler:the "Kisame" that A and Bee fought was actually a White Zetsu clone in disguise and the real Kisame hid inside Samehada to gather info]].
34	* LightningBruiser:
35	** Goodness A the Fourth Raikage is a ''literal'' example of this. This was one of the reasons why Sasuke had trouble fighting him due to being able to outrun even the [[{{Hellfire}} Amaterasu]] with ease and since he's immune to Sasuke's [[ShockAndAwe Lightning Release]], Sasuke was forced to stay on the defensive.
36	** Kisame, when merged with Samehada and being in water, is definitely this as well considering Killer Bee (a fellow LightningBruiser) couldn't even keep up with him.
37	* LovedByAll: Thanks to his actions in the previous arc, Naruto has become beloved by nearly the entire Leaf Village. Danzo himself knows this which is why he couldn't take any immediate actions to contain Naruto as he may receive backlash for locking up the village's hero.
38	* NearVillainVictory: Danzo was ''this close'' to finally achieving his dream as Hokage (he technically did but it wasn't fully official). However, his actions at the Five Kage Summit caused the other Kage to lose trust and him and later meet his death by the ends of Sasuke.
39	* NeckSnap: A does this to White Zetsu when the latter refuses to tell him specifically where Sasuke is.
40	* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: During his fight with Danzo, Sasuke suddenly summons a hawk to aid him in battle despite only being able to summon snakes beforehand. [[LampshadeHanging Even Tobi questions when Sasuke acquired that summon]].
41	* NoSell: Like with his younger brother, A is able to shrug off Sasuke's lighting attacks due to being a master of Lightning Release as well.
42	* OffWithHisHead: A and Killer Bee defeat Kisame [[spoiler: or rather a White Zetsu clone in disguise]] by knocking off his head with Lightning Release: Double Lariat.
43	* OhCrap: [[spoiler:Naruto's reaction upon seeing Tobi sitting just outside his window]].
44	* OneWingedAngel: As stated above, Kisame can fuse with his sword Samehada to become a more shark-like monster capable of overpowering Killer Bee.
45	* ShootTheHostage: In one of the biggest KickTheDog moments of the arc Sasuke fires his Lightning Blade through Karin in order to hit Danzo and flat out tells her that if she can be taken captive so easily she is nothing but a burden for him.
46	* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Danzo constantly says these throughout his fight with Sasuke but they all fall on deaf ears. Danzo only manages to piss Sasuke off by simply mentioning Itachi.
47	* TakingYouWithMe: As Danzo was dying, he attempted to take Tobi and Sasuke with him hoping to get rid of Konoha's biggest threats. Sadly, this proves unsuccessful.
48	* {{Troll}}: Sasuke originally was going to just quietly infiltrate the Summit to take down Danzo specifically. Too bad for him that a playful White Zetsu blew his cover revealing to the Kages that Sasuke is currently in the building.
49	* TooDumbToLive: Happens two different ways. One, for Sasuke thinking he could challenge five powerful Kage at once (only surviving thanks to his teammates and Tobi) and Sakura for trying to kill an AxCrazy Sasuke (who she is still in love with and for Sasuke being WAY stronger than she is).
50	* TookALevelInJerkass: Might as well say this is another FaceHeelTurn for Sasuke during this arc. Not only he is willing to kill innocent people (which, before, he told his teammates not to do where even Suigestu points this out) but was more willing to kill his current and former teammates in cold blood.
51	* UngratefulBastard: How does Sasuke thank his teammates for saving his ass from the Kage and healing him throughout his battle with Danzo? Why, [[spoiler:leave two of them left for dead by the remaining Kage and ''impaling one of them through the body'']].
52	* VillainHasAPoint: Sasuke (who has clearly lost his mind at this point) wasn't wrong when he said that Danzo was responsible for making Itachi's life hell.
53	* VillainProtagonist: While Sauske has skirted the line ever since he left Konaha he fully nosedives into this trope here. Not only does he have no qualms with murdering innocent people in his quest to kill Danzo he also leaves his teammates to die at the hands of the Kage's and stabs Karin with his Lighting Blade in order to get to Danzo. And if there was any doubt he takes this a step further by trying to kill Team 7 when they confront him and promising to burn Konaha to the ground.
54	* VillainRespect: Even Tobi was impressed by Killer B [[spoiler:managing to escape from Sasuke and his team saying to A that B is definitely worthy of being a jinchūriki. Kisame also shares some level of respect for B's strength]].
55	* WellIntentionedExtremist: It's clear that Danzo means well for Konoha, but ordering Sasuke's death without even a trial is a bit much.'
56	* WhamEpisode: TONS during this arc:
57	** [[BigBad Tobi]] appearing just inside Naruto's room. Naruto's [[OhCrap reaction is appropriate]].
58	** Two different episodes that reveal that Danzo has a Sharagan in his right eye and later 10 of them on his arm.
59	** Sakura's infamous FalseConfession to Naruto.
60	** Ao, the Fourth Mizukage's bodyguard, revealing he has a Byakugan in his eye and used it to stop Danzo from brainwashing Mifune into allowing him (Danzo) to be the leader of the resistance.
61	** Tobi (while posing as Madara Uchicha) revealing his plan for capturing all of the jinchūriki not to mention that there is a Ten-Tails! He also declares war on the Shinobi world after being refused to be given Naruto and Killer B.
