1	Hank finds an EmbarrassingTattoo after getting his head shaved for lice, which Bill spread to Hank, Dale, and Boomhauer. Meanwhile, Bill makes friends with a bullpen of prisoners at the county jail.

4	* AnachronismStew: The story about how Hank got tattooed taking place in the 1970s, but the flashback opens with Quarterflash's "Harden My Heart", which was made in 1981.
5	* CantGetInTroubleForNuthin: Hank being Hank, he tries to get himself jailed by committing misdemeanors, including jaywalking in view of a police officer and taking his shirt off in a store with a sign stating "no shirt, no shoes, no service" with a pair of police officers watching him do so. The former, who's currently writing a parking ticket, just ignores him and walks off, and the second pair and the store clerk just stare at him, and when Hank points out he's disobeying the sign, the police point out that doing so isn't actually breaking any laws and the shop clerk adds that he doesn't bother enforcing it and that he's currently not wearing any shoes either. Hank finally succeeds by slightly bumping a police car right outside the police station with his own truck, which earns him the ire of a female officer because doing so [[SkewedPriorities damaged her beloved bumper sticker]].
6	* DidntThinkThisThrough: After Hank gets himself jailed on purpose so that he can talk to Bill about the tattoo, Bill naturally wants to see it himself, only for Hank to have already gotten it removed, which makes Bill think he's lying about it, forcing Hank to ask his cellmate to retattoo Bill's name with a safety pin.
7	* FreezeFrameBonus: When Hank is trying to get in to see Bill, a Missing Persons poster behind the guard looks an awful lot like WesternAnimation/{{Daria}}.
8	* IdiotBall: The climax of the episode has Bill about to confess to a string of burglaries to stay in jail, and Hank having to convince him to not do it. [[DidntThinkThisThrough At no point does it occur to Hank to simply point out that if Bill does that, he'll be in the state pen with hardened criminals and not hanging out in the county jail with local losers.]] Of course, had he done so, [[StoryBreakerPower it would end the episode in 2 minutes]]- and considering the grievances the friends have in the episode, it's entirely possible Bill would've ''doubled down'' on doing so had Hank told him.
9	* JerkassHasAPoint: Hank, Dale and Boomhauer grievances with Bill are not unwarranted since he's shown time and again to be a nuisance, at some point their patience were going to wear thin and explode, him giving everyone lice by intentionally first getting them himself just so that he'd have an excuse to visit an attractive doctor was just it. Granted, they would have likely get over it, it's not like he's the only one to cause problems, but it certainly would have taken a while.
10	* LiceEpisode: Bill gives the guys lice, leading them to cut him out of their lives. It's only when Hank has his head shaved, revealing he got a tattoo of Bill's name on the back of his head (due to Bill saving Hank in a bar fight back when they were younger and Hank getting the tattoo as a token of appreciation) that he forgives him.
11	* NotSoAboveItAll: Hank initially asks Bobby if he really needs to watch him getting a full haircut from the lice. Bobby admits, laughing as he does so, that he wouldn't miss a second, clearly relishing in the fact that [[NotMeThisTime for once, it's Hank getting into trouble instead of him]].
12	* PunchCatch: During the flashback, we see a drunken Hank bump into a beefy guy at the Chainsaw music club. Fortunately for Hank, the then-in-shape and badass Bill stops the other guy's attempt at a punch with his bare hand.
