Concerned about their workaholic uncle's stress levels, the triplets and Webby decide to get him a pet to relax him. Unfortunately, the pet they end up with, a lemming named Lucky, causes nothing but trouble, culminating in his running away with the locket containing the Money Bin's new combination.
!!This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
* AnalogyBackfire: After Scrooge asks Launchpad if he's sure he can get them to Norway, Launchpad replies he has as much confidence in himself as Scrooge does. Scrooge's response:
-->'''Scrooge:''' Uh oh.
* AndThatLittleGirlWasMe: After Scrooge tells the kids about how sometimes the most thoughtful deeds don't turn out as planned, Launchpad concurs, saying how one time when a friend of his was sick, he tried to surprise him with a big BreakfastInBed, only to [[NurseWithGoodIntentions accidentally spill it on him]]. Then Scrooge irritably reveals that ''he'' was the sick friend.
-->'''Launchpad''' ''[touched]'': [[ComicallyMissingThePoint You remembered]].
* AsideGlance: Scrooge gives a look to the audience after Launchpad completely misses his irritation at the "BreakfastInBed" incident he just told them about.
* AssuranceBackfire: When Scrooge believes he'll never see his money again, Launchpad tries to console him by saying [[UndyingLoyalty he still has him for the rest of his life]]. This doesn't make Scrooge feel any better.
* BreakfastInBed: After the boys and Webby cause chaos by giving Scrooge a pet lemming, he tells them that sometimes even well-meant gestures go poorly. Launchpad chimes in with a story about a time he brought Scrooge breakfast in bed while he was sick and accidentally spilled it on him.
* BrickJoke: After the kids' fishing trip [[FishingForSole has turned up nothing but footwear]], one of the triplets says Scrooge could open a shoe store if he had come along. Later, after Lucky has run off with the combination to the vault, Louie says that they should have given him the footwear they caught.
* TheCatCameBack: After Barnacle Biff tries to give Lucky away to the kids, the lemming runs all the way across town back to the ''Moony Gull''.
* CatchAFallingStar: Scrooge accidentally sits on Lucky, who bites him, causing him to fall off the mast. Luckily, Launchpad is just in time to grab him before he falls into the ocean.
* ChaseScene: Scrooge spends much of the episode chasing Lucky, even having to go to Scandinavia to do so.
* ChekhovsGag: The [[FishingForSole pile of footwear the kids catch]] is initially just a comedic sign of a bad fishing trip, but later Webby tells a trio of bare-footed sailors about the shoes in exchange for information on the ''Moony Gull'''s destination.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: This is indeed an episode about Scrooge's pet.
* GilliganCut: Just after the boys and Webby have decided that getting a pet will solve Scrooge's problems, the scene cuts to Captain Fry telling a sailor that Lucky is nothing but trouble.
* IronicName: The lemming the kids get Scrooge is called Lucky, but he causes nothing but trouble.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The kids accidentally cause the entire plot by getting Scrooge Lucky as a pet.
* NoodleIncident: Some unseen time in the past when Scrooge was sick, Launchpad tried to bring him breakfast in bed, only to spill it all over him.
* NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup: The only copy of Scrooge's new lock combination was in the locket Lucky accidentally took, and since Scrooge hadn't memorized it yet, he was at risk of losing access to his fortune.
* NotBigEnoughForTheTwoOfUs: Captain Fry says that the galley is not big enough for both him and Lucky.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: At the start of the lemming migration, everybody in Norway leaves town.
* ShipTease: Scrooge keeps a figurine of Glittering Goldie, which he addresses as "darling", and when the lemming knocks it over, he dives to keep it from hitting the ground.
