This one is set during that lull when the Doctor was travelling alone, and explains to some extent how he was erasing himself from existence.

As you can see by the tweed clothes, he has yet to endure the events of the Series 7A finale and go through his expository costume change.

What is the Inforarium?

The eponymous archive is an illicit GreatBigLibraryOfEverything, selling secrets to any unsavoury characters that would pay. Secrets including the Doctor. The same one [[Recap/DoctorWhoS32E13TheWeddingOfRiverSong trying]] to [[UnPerson erase himself]] from history.

End result: the guardian of this database finds his records being breached, and upon investigation, triggers a recording from the Doctor (in his tweed ensemble, meaning this is pre-[[Recap/DoctorWhoS33E5TheAngelsTakeManhattan dePondification]]). [[Recap/DoctorWhoS29E10Blink Accurately predicting the guard's every response despite being just a message]], the Doctor explains that he is removing all Doctor-related data from the Inforarium. The guard asserts that it is impossible to erase anything from the Inforarium, something about 12 layers of reality that not even the message-Doctor cares to respond to. What he ''does'' say is that thanks to reverse-engineered [[Recap/DoctorWhoS32E1TheImpossibleAstronaut Silence]] tech, he can render his information [[LaserGuidedAmnesia memory-proof]].

He then directs the guard to check his memory banks again, and vanishes from the Inforarium.

!!Tropes:

* AmnesiaLoop: The guardian of the Inforarium is stuck in one, checking his database and the Doctor's message over and over again. Fortunately, it should break when he goes to, say, the bathroom.
* ChekhovsSkill: The Silence's memory-proofing.
* GreatBigLibraryOfEverything: The Whoniverse is big enough for two -- although the Inforarium is somewhat shadier than [[Recap/DoctorWhoS30E8SilenceInTheLibrary the Library]].
* InformationBroker: The Inforarium will sell information to anyone who can pay.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Via memory-proofing.
* {{Prequel}}: Set before "[[Recap/DoctorWhoS33E5TheAngelsTakeManhattan The Angels Take Manhattan]]".
* TheTapeKnewYouWouldSayThat: Because you're stuck in a forgetting loop.
* UnPerson: The Doctor. The Inforarium threatens this, so he deals with it.
