1	Diana meets a kindred spirit in new girl Tatsu Yamashiro, at the same time the [=DCSHG=] encounter a villain who's somehow capable of stealing criminals' souls.

3	!!Tropes:
4	* AdaptationalWimp: Of a sort, since in this version Katana can trap people's souls in her sword, but can only let out every single soul it's absorbed at once. Her comic counterpart's version of the weapon could release specific souls to have a temporary minion with a particular skill.
5	* BatmanColdOpen: The episode opens on Katana stealing the soul of a mugger.
6	* BlackMagic: What Zatanna declares the sword's power to be, the "really icky stuff" to use her words.
7	* BookshelfDominoes: When Diana and Tatsu start fighting in a library, this is the inevitable result.

16	* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Katana realizes the error of her ways when Wonder Woman not only [[TakingTheBullet takes the bullet]] for a criminal, he wasn't even a carjacker like Katana thought, he was just locked out of his own car.

19	** Kara said that finding someone with their soul taken by dark magic was just like a scene in "Exploding Ninja Pirates from Outer Space II". What movies those must be.
20	* OfCorpseHesAlive: Barbara hides the soulless villains in her room, so to keep her father from getting suspicious, she arranges them to look like they're having a {{slumber party\|Ploy}}, rigging a pulley system to move their arms and make them give each other makeovers.

23	* TakingTheBullet: Diana jumps in front of Katana's attack to save a man breaking into a car, and gets her soul taken instead of him.
24	* TemptingFate: As Barbara drags Catwoman and Harley to Jessica's van, she says that at least it's just two bodies. Then Giganta falls on the van, crushing it.
