The Curious looks through the books in a school library.

Jude, Mayel, Willow, Feng, and Stan are assigned weekend detention at school. They are to be part of a new scheme where Faye, a trained instructor, will take them through a series of meditation and mindfulness exercises. Faye mentions that she has had good results at a rival school that hired her, and the kids discuss the fact that the other school's star football player disappeared recently. Faye brings up the kids' various flaws and misdemeanors, and they begin arguing; she encourages them to air their grievances, which she says is healthy for them. When Faye goes to the bathroom, Jude spies on her and is shocked to see Faye wiping blood from her mouth and displaying inhuman, animal-like characteristics. Faye chases her and almost catches her, but Jude escapes. Jude tries to report it to Mr. Hawkins, the vice-principal, who thinks she is playing a prank. He bluntly tells her that she and the others are bad kids and not worth helping. Hawkins has locked the kids in the school and now they are all trapped.

Jude confronts Faye, who says there's nothing Jude can do since Hawkins doesn't believe her, and plays on Jude's weakness - her fear of being abandoned by her mother. When Jude realizes that Faye killed the missing footballer, Faye says that she is looking for another victim as "delicious" as he was. She becomes delighted at witnessing Feng and Mayel argue, causing Jude to realize that Faye feeds off others' negative emotions - particularly anger. When Faye leaves the room, Jude tries to tell the others but they don't believe her. Faye starts a group discussion and Jude compliments everyone, trying to keep them from fighting again. However, Faye asks Willow why her friendship with Jude ended, and encourages her to be angry. Willow thinks that Jude ditched her for not being cool enough and screams that she hates herself. Faye takes Willow away for a "private" exercise but, upon seeing her reaction, the others now believe Jude.

Stan sets up a plan to distract Faye by telling her that Mayel and Feng were trying to escape out of a window, while Jude goes to Mr. Hawkins. She lures him into getting angry, and he screams at her that he hates children and can't stand working with them. The other students bring Faye to Hawkins' office, and Jude steals the keys to the school, allowing the kids to escape whilst Faye devours him. They agree not to tell anyone what really happened.

Faye smugly leaves, while The Curious sits on the school's roof and observes.

!!!This episode contains examples of:

* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Jude's mother.
* AssholeVictim: Hawkins, very much so. Many of Faye's victims could fall into this category since angry, hate-filled people taste good to her.
* BittersweetEnding: While the kids are at a better understanding with each other and became friends, they gave Faye their vice-principal, who was an AssholeVictim, to save their own lives, and they let her go, continuing on preying on people with negative emotions.
* BrickJoke: It's mentioned at the start of the episode that Stan is in detention for blowing up the school science lab. At the end, The Curious plays with a substance it apparently took from the ruined lab.
* CassandraTruth: Initially, no one believes Jude about Faye.
* DeanBitterman: Hawkins. He makes it clear he does not like the five students and talks down to them.
* EducationThroughPyrotechnics: Stan deliberately blew up the school's science lab.
* EnemyEatsYourLunch: Jude irritates Hawkins by snatching his sandwich and eating it.
* GoryDiscretionShot: We see a brief shot of blood hitting the glass panel in the door of Hawkins' office.
* GranolaGirl: Faye appears to be one of these. Subverted in that it's a front to hide her true nature as a highly dangerous vampire.
* PassionateSportsGirl: Mayel is a star athlete and ''very'' competitive about it.
* ShrinkingViolet: Willow
* SocialMediaBeforeReason: Feng, who aspires to be a [=YouTube=] star.
* TitleDrop: Used a couple of times by Mr. Hawkins, who came up with the nickname himself.
* VampiricDraining: Faye feeds on negative emotions, especially anger, in her victims.
* WellDoneSonGuy: Faye senses that Jude's biggest fear is not gaining her mother's approval.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Willow and Jude were best friends until the stress of Jude's parents divorcing caused her to drift away from Willow. Willow doesn't understand this and thinks that she just wasn't cool or popular enough for Jude.
