Finn and Jake must escort a pile of royal tarts to a royal meeting, but Finn's own ideas of how to do the job backfire.
----
!!Tropes:
* AndIMustScream: Anyone who eats the poisoned tarts will be paralyzed forever. It happens to the butterfly guy, and it's implied to have happened to all the other thieves Finn and Jake met.
* BrickJoke: The Old Tart-Toter is mentioned early on in the episode. He shows up in person at the end.
* ByTheLightsOfTheirEyes: Finn and Jake's eyes are visible in the dark of the cave.
* CarryingACake: The entire episode is dedicated to this trope. The cakes in question are vitally important for a Candy Kingdom ceremony.
* GainaxEnding: The Old Tart-Toter bursts in out of nowhere and goes into a rambling monologue, while imagining himself floating through a field of stars like the one in Princess Bubblegum's opening monologue about the Royal Tarts. Then it cuts back to reality, where Finn flinches at the Tart-Toter's outburst.
* IceCreamKoan: Courtesy of the Old Tart-Toter.
-->'''Tart-Toter:''' This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively... but if sweetness can win—-and it can-—then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday, my friend. Peace!
* ImpossiblyDeliciousFood: The Royal Tarts are said to be so delicious, people will kill to get a taste.
* InsaneTrollLogic: Finn has the bright idea to take the tarts through a desert wasteland because [[IKnowYouKnowIKnow he thinks thieves wouldn't expect him to take them through such a dangerous path]]. It doesn't work out.
* KillerRabbit: One of the thieves that comes for Finn and Jake's shipment of tarts is a butterfly with a laser pistol.
* LaserGuidedKarma: The butterfly that robs them is unaware that the tarts are poisoned. We see him later suffering the effects after taking a bite out of the tainted tart.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Subverted; most of the episode seems that way as instead of taking a safer path. Finn and Jake take a more dangerous route and wind up with all the tarts robbed from them (a lot of it due to their own stupidity, they wind up alerting bandits to them just based on assumptions). It's only thanks to Finn giving Cinnamon Bun the wrong tart case that things work out.
* NoProductSafetyStandards: Just why does Princess Bubblegum leave paralyzing potion lying around a tart production line anyway?
* OrgasmicallyDelicious: Bubblegum's reaction to eating a slice of tart reveals that the description of them at the beginning was correct.
