3	OAKPODCAST is an audio drama written and produced by Regan Adler. When technology specialist and U.S. Marine Mara “Holly” Ellison wakes up in suburban Alabama with no papers or memory of getting there, she starts sending distress calls to her team. And when they can’t help her, she starts digging into the mystery herself. As she tries to figure out what’s happening to her partner, Oak, she uncovers more than she ever wanted to know about a bioweapon her team was exposed to.

10	* AgentsDating: Yule Team is an incestuous little team (probably/hopefully not literally). Evergreen and Camellia are married, Holly and Camellia don't seem to mind making out too much, it's implied that [[spoiler: Holly and Willard were having an affair]], and {{Word of God}} says it's valid to interpret Oak and Holly as married if the listener likes.
11	* AppliedPhlebotinum: The "bioweapon" Holly was exposed to.
12	* ArtisticLicenseMilitary: The show leans more toward spy-fi (espionage science fiction, e.g., Series/{{Alias}}, WesternAnimation/KimPossible, Franchise/JamesBond, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy-Fi_(subgenre)#Examples etc.]]) than realistic military fiction and subsequently requires a healthy amount of suspension of disbelief.

Would a small elite black ops team be able to get away with so much drug abuse and general dysfunction? Would anyone in their right mind allow an attempted murderer to go out and finish a deep cover mission? 14	* CastFullOfGay: Well, bi/pan, but same idea. Holly and Camellia are bi, Oak is pan, and Willard and Evergreen are confirmed to have had occasional previous attraction if not experience with men.
15	* DysfunctionalFamily: Holly and Oak. Arguably the entire found family comprising Yule Team.
16	* EliteFour: Yule Team. They're a {{Five Man Band}} if you count Willard.

19	* FemmeFataleSpy: Reconstructed with Camellia, a nondescript middle-aged mother, and Holly, who's mostly asexual and not particularly femme but finds herself using sex to accomplish missions (e.g. survival sex work in Transmission 3). Mostly played straight but potentially Gender Inverted with Oak.
20	* GenderIsNoObject: The military itself still has a lot of issues, and military rape/rape culture is a major point of conflict in the story, but Yule Team itself has at least half female members.

25	* PoliteVillainsRudeHeroes: Willard is generally polite, professional, and otherwise a positive representation of the USMC, even when Holly and Oak are cursing him out and lamenting his state of not being dead.

Played with in that every major character (except maybe Evergreen) is incredibly dysfunctional, and Holly frequently describes herself as not very badass (which is somewhat debatable). Especially ironic with Holly and Willard, given the nature of their relationship outside work.
31	* SiblingTeam: Regan's primary but completely unofficial relationship between Holly and Oak.
32	* SpiesInAVan: Holly is trying to take this to extremes by actually living and spying full time in a van (once she finds herself homeless).
