OAKPODCAST is an audio drama written and produced by Regan Adler. When technology specialist and U.S. Marine Mara “Holly” Ellison wakes up in suburban Alabama with no papers or memory of getting there, she starts sending distress calls to her team. And when they can’t help her, she starts digging into the mystery herself. As she tries to figure out what’s happening to her partner, Oak, she uncovers more than she ever wanted to know about a bioweapon her team was exposed to.

Episodes tend to be short and primarily feature Regan Adler as Holly. The serial is currently finishing its first season. Links to the wiki, calendar, and listening platforms can be found on [[http://oakpodcast.com/ the official website]].

* AgentsDating: Yule Team is an incestuous little team (probably/hopefully not literally). Evergreen and Camellia are married, Holly and Camellia don't seem to mind making out too much, it's implied that [[spoiler: Holly and Willard were having an affair]], and {{Word of God}} says it's valid to interpret Oak and Holly as married if the listener likes.
* AppliedPhlebotinum: The "bioweapon" Holly was exposed to.
* ArtisticLicenseMilitary: The show leans more toward spy-fi (espionage science fiction, e.g., Series/{{Alias}}, WesternAnimation/KimPossible, Franchise/JamesBond, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy-Fi_(subgenre)#Examples etc.]]) than realistic military fiction and subsequently requires a healthy amount of suspension of disbelief.
** Would a colonel in the Marines be overseeing a small elite black ops team comprised of multiple officers? (It's not all any of them do, but nonetheless...) Would a small elite black ops team be able to get away with so much drug abuse and general dysfunction? Would anyone in their right mind allow an attempted murderer to go out and finish a deep cover mission? Probably not, but heck if it isn't [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool cool]].
* CastFullOfGay: Well, bi/pan, but same idea. Holly and Camellia are bi, Oak is pan, and Willard and Evergreen are confirmed to have had occasional previous attraction if not experience with men.
* DysfunctionalFamily: Holly and Oak. Arguably the entire found family comprising Yule Team.
* EliteFour: Yule Team. They're a {{Five Man Band}} if you count Willard.
* ElitesAreMoreGlamorous: Everyone is part of a Marine black ops team because {{Rule of Cool}}.
* FakeOutMakeOut: Holly + everyone else on Yule Team at one point or another, due to her poor acting skills making any other form of distraction dangerous. Usually with a healthy dose of {{HoYay}} with Camellia.
* FemmeFataleSpy: Reconstructed with Camellia, a nondescript middle-aged mother, and Holly, who's mostly asexual and not particularly femme but finds herself using sex to accomplish missions (e.g. survival sex work in Transmission 3). Mostly played straight but potentially Gender Inverted with Oak.
* GenderIsNoObject: The military itself still has a lot of issues, and military rape/rape culture is a major point of conflict in the story, but Yule Team itself has at least half female members.
* InappropriatelyCloseComrades: Most notably Willard and Holly. Just because it's not supposed to happen doesn't mean that's actually the case.
* MilitaryAlphabet: "That's OSCAR ALPHA KILO PERU OSCAR DELTA CHARLIE ALPHA SIERRA TANGO."
* NoodleIncident: Several. Holly frequently refers to inside jokes or past events that Oak would know about but the listener does not.
* OutrankingYourJob: Possibly justified in that Yule Team only engages in covert operations occasionally, and most of its members (Holly excluded) carry out rank-appropriate duties the other days.
* PoliteVillainsRudeHeroes: Willard is generally polite, professional, and otherwise a positive representation of the USMC, even when Holly and Oak are cursing him out and lamenting his state of not being dead.
* RadioSilence: Holly sometimes can't post new transmissions for various mission-related reasons.
* RapeAndRevenge: [[spoiler: The whole reason Oak is missing.]]
* ReassignedToAntarctica: Holly would probably prefer Antarctica over Alabama, though.
* SecretRelationship: Willard/Holly, although it was only exposed to anyone else months after they ended it.
* SemperFi: Every major character. Played with in that every major character (except maybe Evergreen) is incredibly dysfunctional, and Holly frequently describes herself as not very badass (which is somewhat debatable). Especially ironic with Holly and Willard, given the nature of their relationship outside work.
* SiblingTeam: Regan's primary but completely unofficial relationship between Holly and Oak.
* SpiesInAVan: Holly is trying to take this to extremes by actually living and spying full time in a van (once she finds herself homeless).
* ThatsAnOrder: Willard to Holly, frequently. Usually countered with [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WithDueRespect a huffy "WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, SIR"]] response.
