Carefully planning is one the key points in order to achieve victory, and this house gathers an impressive number of the best tacticians the Pantheon has to offer. It's very likely that you will see these people in the House of Pantheon/{{Knowledge}}, often spending their time designing or coming up with new combat strategies.

These guys are up there with the Hall of Pantheon/MilitaryRanks in seniority, and are treated with respect (mostly) by the rest of the Pantheon. This Hall thus occupies a lofty position on a mountain overlooking the House's many battlegrounds with planning rooms, head offices and secret exits to the Houses of Pantheon/{{Knowledge}}, Pantheon/{{Mentalism}} and by rumour, the meeting place of the Pantheon/CouncilOfShadows.

* Oryx the Mad God is the TopGod of his own dimension, and is a callous and malevolent god who serves only himself and his minions by serving them humans. The humans of the realm have obviously taken up arms against him, but Oryx chooses not to interfere in his realm's affairs himself, instead sending his minions to subdue the realm's heroes. When those eventually fall, Oryx loses his patience and whisks them away to his castle, where the heroes must fight their way to his chamber to get a chance to defeat Oryx himself. From there, players must use artifacts looted from Oryx's minions to break their way into his Wine Cellar, and then his Sanctuary, as he unveils and unleashes more of his power each time, to the point that he becomes the greatest challenge the heroes could ever face.
* Oryx teleported many of the Pantheon's heroes to his castle after one of the major battles they triumphed in, openly challenging them to combat. However, they fought through wave after wave of minions, and after finally catching sight of Oryx, they won the day. However, it was found that Oryx had made a simulacrum of himself (as he is prone to doing to confront the heroes of his own realm), and he had made himself at home in the Pantheon while his simulacrum did the dirty work. By the time they learned of this, Oryx found himself allies that would have Oryx ascend under ThePawnsGoFirst given his preference in having his minions fight his enemies to the death first. Surely enough, portals into his realms would manifest in the Pantheon in the area that would be considered Oryx's temple, although his real temple, aka [[TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon his Sanctuary]] requires taking down highly powerful minions of his, and thankfully they do occasionally come out of Oryx's portals into the Pantheon.
* Oryx, eager to rebuild a new legion of minions and allies within the Pantheon, made a tempting bargain for allegiance, namely that they can cheat death if one of Oryx's enemies kills them. It may seem unnecessary given that one cannot truly die while in the Pantheon, but surprisingly, he managed to influence the workings of death itself to ensure {{Permadeath}} to enemies in his realm, and likewise, highly effective ResurrectiveImmortality to those who kill said enemies. Such perversions of death and life have even crept in to the Pantheon, and should those mutually allied with Oryx be slain, Oryx can have them resurrected within his realm in an efficient manner compared to a trip to the House of Pantheon/DeathAndPostmortem and then the House of Pantheon/LifeAndVitality. Fortunately, the permanent death clause ''doesn't'' apply to the Pantheon, but only within his realms accessed by their respective portals. Should they get caught in one of said realms and killed there, their souls and essence don't get to go anywhere unless Oryx decides to. This used to be a big problem with plenty of battle-seeking deities losing their lives while fighting against Oryx's minions in his realm, or if they're lucky, against Oryx himself. But plenty of the Overdeities in the Pantheon, [[AwakeningTheSleepingGiant even the more passive ones]], were '''not''' having any of it. [[CurbStompBattle Directly attacking the true Oryx himself and mercilessly subduing him,]] Oryx had no choice but to alleviate the permanent-death aspect, so heroes killed in Oryx's realms will eventually be taken to the Pantheon to be properly resurrected.
* Unsurprisingly, deities who manage life or death loathe Oryx for how he corrupts the nature of death and rebirth for his own selfish ends. All of the grim reapers in the Pantheon have nothing nice to say about Oryx the Mad God, and some of them get rather smug every time Oryx is killed in battle in the Pantheon. Death of the Endless's distaste for Oryx's actions aren't as vocal given the inevitability of death for Oryx and his minions anyways, but on the other hand, The Wolf, another form of Death who despises those who waste their lives and don't take death seriously, personally hates Oryx for making his forces be able to die and die again with little fear of permanent death, in contrast to his enemies, and is more than willing to go after Oryx if he's vulnerable. Even more intriguing is Dhuum and Grenth, who are mutual enemies due to their different perspectives on how death and revival should work, but the two can agree that Oryx's influence on permadeath is absolutely disgusting, with their hatred of Oryx the Mad God being able to set aside their differences temporarily when it comes to the subject of delivering retribution to Oryx.
* Medusa and the Sphinx, both with counterparts under Oryx's employ, have chosen to ally themselves with him. Zanza has no such counterpart, but [[spoiler:finding himself unwilling to stomach his own death]] and seeing life with similar contempt to Oryx, has also organized an alliance with him, even if only for Zanza's selfish reasons. Seeing them as similar to his top generals from his homeland, Oryx has struck alliances with Fortinbras, Demitri Maximoff, and Dracula, who also recommended the Crimson Court as allies. Some of said alliances were troublesome due to their own ambitions, so he did have to sacrifice a portion of his wine cellar to them in order to gain their support. That said, Oryx's reliance on and trust in a vampire lord from his realm has helped make these alliances go smoothly. His attempts to get the Von Carstein vampire lords on his side went poorly however, Vlad sees too much into his recklessness and ambition to really trust him, Konrad couldn't stand Oryx's ego (even though he holds plenty of it on his own) and Mannfred eventually attempted to backstab Oryx at a wine cellar party and actually got to the point where he retreated to his sanctuary, and considers all three as rivals. Additionally, with one of his mutual allies in his realm being the malicious Shaitan, Oryx decided he couldn't go wrong with getting some more djinns on his side. Jafar and Erazor Djinn would answer to Oryx's call and offers for power, viewing their goals as permissible and insignificant to Oryx's reign. He is somewhat interested in Erazor Djinn's goals of rewriting stories to be able to rule them. On occasion, Oryx will pester Erazor Djinn about at the very least mentioning Oryx in said rewritten stories in an almost sycophantically positve manner. While glad that Oryx doesn't plan to completely intrude on his goals, he does silently scoff at Oryx's insatiable ego.
* While Melkor respected Oryx for his villainous ambition and success in bending many dimensions to his will, he was bitterly disappointed that the Mad God didn't want anything to do with the GUAE. Oryx's disdain toward Melkor stems from how Melkor reminds Oryx of a dreaded enemy from his universe, the Void Entity, an OmnicidalManiac made of the evil in humanity's hearts, so Oryx is very territorial with cooperating with the GUAE, not wanting deities MadeOfEvil to intrude on his domain. Additionally, Oryx only saw his tyranny and dominion as a means to an end for being acknowledged as an invincible and almighty god, with whatever going on at the bottom mattering little unless it threatened his power. Oryx has also gotten into territorial disputes with the infamous God-King of the Hive (also named Oryx) and Sauron (who maintains a similar level of authority over his minions and realm)- while they don't have any particular reason to oppose each other, they find themselves unwilling to get along because they get in each other's way. Sauron's particular rivalry with Oryx comes from the latter managing to dominate his realms through twisting the divine powers in his favor, in contrast to Sauron's reliance on the darker forces in an attempt to dominate his own realm.
** The Fraternity, while aligned with the GUAE, decided they wanted to have a share of a few of Oryx's realms for themselves, in case terrible circumstances threatened the stability of their influence. Promising Oryx the heads of mortals and other fools who dared to oppose Oryx, the Fraternity slyly convinced Oryx that they were worth keeping around. While their practices and offerings would keep Oryx's good graces for the Fraternity to prosper from Oryx's boons, Oryx has also kept a close eye on them in case they intend to backstab him or give outside forces an unwarranted hold on Oryx's domain.
* As a mortal champion of a former kingdom known today as The Shatters due to its ruination, what made him beloved as a former hero was his ruthless ambition, though it was the exact same thing that drove him to betray his people and usurp the very system that brought him to power. The presence of other such ambitious usurpers and betrayers in the Pantheon hasn't pleased him though, given that his callous pride prevents him from making genuine allies, and views them as competition to look down on. Malekith also had ambitions with being the Phoenix King to a similar extent, and he covets power and influence similar to Oryx's for the purpose of doing so. Megatron, a being from Cybertron who also had a gladiator-like past only to rise up against Cybertron's leaders and become the leader of a powerful Decepticon force in his own right, may also look down on humans but it doesn't make working with Oryx worth the trouble, and sees no reason to get in his way if he can help it.
* His Exalted form, which is the result of twisting holier forces toward his own ends, makes him one of the most reviled representatives of light, and especially hated by holy deities and those take offense of the idea of divinity being corrupted and abused for selfish ends. YHVH, a tyrannical god who commands the forces of Law, took Oryx's presence with much enmity given the amount of control Oryx wants to hold over gods. Zamasu found Oryx's existence in itself as a great insult to all of godkind, for being a mortal wielding divine power and exclaiming themselves to be above gods themselves, and unsurprisingly is one of Oryx's most determined opponents, for Zamasu despises the idea of mortal superiority he represents. Hearing about his influence over millions of other realms only fueled his anger even more, seeing such a feat in itself as a boast of influence.
* Oryx is one of the most powerful alcoholics in the Pantheon, having his own wine cellar that heroes attempt to raid every now and then, knowing very well that Oryx will very much be there to repel them murderously. While typically not the type to share, he got along with fellow drunk Kaido, a mighty Pirate Emperor who could drink gallons and gallons of sake and the like with ease. Since their particular tastes in alcohol are different they don't worry about having to share alcohol. Given what happened with Dreadstump who was taking from Oryx' alcohol tax (yes, Oryx taxes subjects in alcohol), he's not particularly going to let Kaido handle Oryx's supply himself though. Sometimes, Oryx leaves to visit the Hall of Alcohol just to get his alcohol fixation satiated. Due to how entitled he is, he always expects its members and all other bartenders to give it all to him on the house, and they're unable to directly deny it to him due to his immeasurable strength. At least the Pantheon is willing to compensate them for Oryx's visits, on top of chasing him out when he gets too unruly.
* Oryx, though having begun his career as a mere mortal champion, has the gall to boast himself as above gods, and has the power and influence to back it up, with his realms being inhabited with gods allied with Oryx to kill heroes. Oryx often finds himself butting heads with Geb and Nut, both of whom are knowledgeable of their counterparts in Oryx's realm, and have opposed Oryx due to the Mad God's malevolence and the two gods' willingness to bless humanity, as well as a majority of the Egyptian pantheon for Oryx's influence over gods. Of course, Oryx didn't stop at gods. He attempted to employ Dr. Terrible to create scientific advances that would bolster his forces further, creating all sorts of abominations, and Oryx himself attempted to create his own elemental dragons with captured sprites to control magic for his own ends better, though the dragons ended up going rogue. Nevertheless, Bahamut and many other draconic beings are not pleased with Oryx's attempts and intend to ensure that he doesn't try to meddle with life even more than he already does.
* Those who RageAgainstTheHeavens will quickly find a justified target in Oryx, whose selfish desires to maintain power are more than enough to warrant his downfall. Even as an exalted mortal, his evil godly reign has made Kratos a deadly nemesis for Oryx. Egil, embittered by millennia of suffering with the influence of a deity as selfish as Oryx, is among the people most prepared and eager to fight the Mad God, along with Shulk and all his friends who have had enough of being played around by malevolent gods and has turned the Monado against Oryx. Ike, having slain [[Pantheon/OrderAndChaos a divine being]] before, would deem himself fit to oppose Oryx and his minions, and also notes his armor's similiarities to [[Pantheon/VillainousArchetypes a certain war general]] who orphaned him, at least until he has to deal with his Exalted Form.
* Oryx doesn't take kindly to oblivion-related deities, and has joined the fight against Apophis with zeal. Lord English's desire for wanton destruction and oblivion of reality has also earned the Mad God's ire, acknowledging the threat he poses to the many dimensions that he controls, not to mention to the mad god himself. [[spoiler: Due to the oblivion-related deity of his universe, the Void Entity having a strong association with emptiness and the void]], he also has a hatred of void-powered deities. Zeratul makes this hatred mutual due to his benevolence, but Exdeath is the closest thing to [[spoiler:the Void Entity]] in the pantheon, so Oryx's enmity with him was inevitable. The likes of Chaos and Amatsu-Mikaboshi only increase his paranoia toward the forces of destruction, and allied himself with Lord Vyce for their mutual opposition towards such forces even though they'd otherwise be rivals.
* For some outrageous reason that has yet to be understood, let alone explained, Oryx is deathly afraid of chickens, and even assumes that others fear them to a similar extent. During one of Oryx's assaults on the House of Gaming, he accidentally blasted a Cucco into oblivion with his powers while battling Link, causing a horde of them to flock towards them, ignorant of his staggering might. The sight of the Cuccos had caused Oryx to turn pale (not that anyone could see it, unfortunately) and ran away as if [[Pantheon/RuinAndDestruction The Nothing]] was right behind him, along with Link who also knew that fighting the Cuccos would be a losing battle. The event would turn Oryx into a laughing stock for quite a long time, and there's always a storyteller who'll [[NeverLiveItDown recall the embarrassing occurrence to curious listeners.]] It took a few months for Oryx to psychologically recover from the traumatic experience, and in the process had taken many measures to prevent such a horrifying encounter from happening again. When Oryx learned about the Henpire, he decided that space conquest was fully off the table in the Pantheon, and is for now content with the millions of Realms he owns already.
** Brightwing, with the ability to transform enemies into smaller critters, decided to target a simulacrum of Oryx wandering the Pantheon, and transformed the Mad God into a chicken himself. Despite the immense terror he had from reliving such an event as he did on a certain April Fools' Day, the chicken that Oryx became was ''still'' an extremely powerful god. Even as a chicken, Oryx annihilated Brightwing with the power he still had, and the simulacrum chicken would create a trail of ruination and destruction throughout the Pantheon before enough heroes arrived to eliminate the Mad Chicken God. For this reason, the capable deities in the Pantheon have to be reminded that it isn't worth turning Oryx into a chicken, even for fun.
* Oryx and Black Doom have found themselves steadfast allies, as their minions have made a living out of consuming humans. Oryx had also decided to invite Lord Crumb as a friendly collaborator due to his ambition to turn humanity into food as well, noting that what he has to offer would make feeding minions much more efficient. Bonegrind the Butcher certainly can't manage the production all on his own. The God-Emperor of Mankind rightfully deemed Oryx a threat to humanity due to how Oryx sees them as nothing but animals for slaughtering, and for betraying his former king, leaving the kingdom he used to protect to be devastated and ruined. Such a treasonous action was something beyond forgiveness, on top of the other despicable actions toward humanity that the Mad God has committed. Oryx would just laugh at the "God-Emperor" given his sheer ego if it weren't for not wanting to bring the four Chaos Gods into his own business by going on a campaign against the Imperium of Man.

* Courageously stood against an army of encroaching demons with just 300 soldiers. [[ScreamsLikeALittleGirl Just don't ask him to fights Ghosts]]. But he will still give his all to fight Ghosts whenever it's his duty to quell them.
* After being deified, he made a special contract with Enma Ai to escort him for daily dinner (with his resident Spartans) in Hell. Ai even mentioned in a deadpan tone that there are a lot of Ghosts in Hell, so is he still going to dine in it? Leonidas just told her not to ask and just get on with the reservation already.
* His abs are scientifically proven to be harder than the armor that Master Chief is wearing. Or at least if you believe the rap battle they once had.
* He is one of the few people that Kratos has any kind of respect towards, even though just a little. Being the King of Sparta does help a bit.
* Whenever he visits the House of Theater, the comedians do their best to keep him entertained. The reason for this is that he has a [[WesternAnimation/RobotChicken tendency to Sparta-kick anyone who doesn't get a laugh out of him]].
** Same thing goes for anyone who gives him de-caff when he's in the House of Food.
* TheSpartanWay, according to him, is neither blasphemy nor madness. Tell him otherwise and you will end up with a dent in your ribcage shaped like his boot.
* His former high priest is [[VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends Pantheon of Mount Targon]], who has since ascended. Leonidas was pretty impressed with how much he glorifies what battle really is and being a product of Targon's version of TheSpartanWay (and if anything, he can jump better than Leonidas). Even Leonidas would make an exception on how much [[RealMenWearPink the guy's profession is being a baker]], not a '''[[ProudWarriorRaceGuy "HAOOH! HAOOOH! HAOOOOH!!"]]'''
* Pretty much one of the few deities to admire Ares when everyone else are more than eager to make him look like [[PaperTiger a wussy loser]]. Leonidas and the Spartans always admired the symbol of manly combat and bloodlust that Ares exudes, and thought overreliance to strategies are for those 'boy-lovers' from Athens. In turn, this house is also Ares' favorite house, and he doesn't act much like a jerk, but like true manly war-buddies.
* Cersei Lannister has invited Leonidas to lead her armies. While many deities tell him not to accept it, given Cersei has questionable morals and the potential to endanger his life, Leonidas is still considering the proposal, given she reminds him of [[Creator/LenaHeadey "his queen"]].
* Leonidas has some degree of respect towards the 101 for standing against odds much greater than he did with a third of the army that he had and coming out victorious.
* Despite disrespecting the Roman gods, Leonidas couldn't help but admire Astérix's tenacity to defend his home world against constant threats.
* Very few try to interact with Ludwig despite some of the newer conditions present. Most are warriors of some kind as his visions of what the Church hunters he taught drew inspiration from them. His restoration is what brought Leonidas' some form of interest, seeing that the spartan himself has read the tales of the Healing Church and how Ludwig treated his compatriots similarly like how spartans treat each other, as some sort of battle-brother if you will. And while he praises Ludwig's efforts, one thing has to be said about him and that to tell Ludwig the [[BrutalHonesty actual truth of his warriors]] will cause him to snap and lash out in pure beastial rage. This makes him rather cautious when speaking to him as he may inadvertently cause him to do such.
* Robert Baratheon once got in some trouble with Leonidas, who thought he was sleeping with his wife. Though they figured out [[Creator/LenaHeadey their wives' look-alike is a coincidence]], the Usurper still regards the Spartans as a threat; their [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Spartan ways]] come off too much like the Dothraki for his tastes, and as with all Westerosi [[SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil he considers their slavery practices barbaric]].
* The spartan and Odysseus don't really get along well due to their huge difference of ideals, even though Odysseus himself is no slouch on the battlefield. This entirely because Leonidas has no love for strategy or cunning, which Odysseus is most well-known for.
* The Nameless King holds a great deal of respect for Leonidas and his Spartan army, thanks to their bold attitude towards combat and sheer determination. It reminds him of his own attitudes towards fighting.
* Annabeth Chase holds tremendous respect for the legendary Spartan strategist, and is often seen walking the Pantheon's borders with him, discussing both defensive and offensive strategy. The King, meanwhile, considers Annabeth a daughter after his own heart, thus giving her two nigh-unkillable protectors.
* Leonidas respects President Whitmore because of how effective his RousingSpeech was, comparing it to his own riling of the Spartan troops [[DoNotGoGentle against the wave of the Persians]]. While Whitmore appreciates the compliment and his own charisma, he doesn't agree with TheSpartanWay and in spite of (or even because of) being a war-time president he really doesn't like those who glorify war.
* Kassandra and Alexios were both surprised and overjoyed to be reunited with their grandfather Leonidas, who was quite saddened to learn of what had happened to his family after his death, as the Cult of Kosmos had previously threatened Leonidas not to go against their plans and tried to wipe out his bloodline after he defied them. Leonidas was particularly disappointed to learn that Alexios [[spoiler:was unable to forsake the Cult and redeem himself and goaded Kassandra into killing him]]. However, Alexios insisted that his vision for the Cult was going to be better than what Leonidas had dealt with, although Kassandra and Leonidas himself expressed strong skepticism about his goals.
* The Battle of Thermopylae has become ingrained onto his legends that he can summon the spirit of his 300 men to form an ultimate defensive wall on his exclamation of '''[[VideoGame/FateGrandOrder "Thermopylae. Enomotia!!"]]'''. Of course, before activation, he has to exclaim this first: '''"This. Is. SPARTA!!!"'''

* Titus ascended for his manner of following of the ''Codex Astartes''. Instead of [[LawfulStupid rigidly adhering]] to the ''Codex Astartes'', he views it more of a guideline on how to act, instead of it being utter law. This goes against the popular concept/stereotype that the Ultramarines view the ''Codex Astartes'' as sacrosanct, and compared to most Ultramarines depicted, he's the one who deviates from it the most. He's also a ''[[TheCaptain Captain]]'' and doing this.
** It's because of this that he's viewed ''[[EnsembleDarkhorse incredibly]]'' [[EnsembleDarkhorse favorably by those who follow the 41st Millennium]]. Plus, he's arguably a {{reconstruction}} of ''WHAT'' it means to be an Ultramarine. The Ultramarines aren't invincible, and they're also willing to throw out the manual if the situation calls for it, in fact Titus specifically points out early on in the Liberation of Graia that Leandros needs to think for himself instead of blindly obeying the ''Codex''. [[spoiler:Which lead to Leandros breaking the ''Codex Astartes'' and submitting an accusation of Heresy to an ''[[StateSec INQUISITOR]]'' instead of an [[BadassPreacher Ultramarines Chaplain]]]]. This, however, also lead to yet another reason why Titus is so loved: One of the single-greatest [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech "The Reason You Suck" Speeches]] in Warhammer 40,000 history:
-->'''Titus''': ''"The [[BigBookOfWar Codex Astartes]] is a set of rules. They guide us... shape us as [[TheParagon Ultra]][[SuperSoldier marines]]... teach us to hold [[LawfulGood duty and honour sacred above all]]. [[ToBeLawfulOrGood But how we live with those rules is the true test]] of a SpaceMarine. And ''[[NewMeat you]]'' [[LawfulStupid have failed]]."''
** [[Pantheon/SoldierArchetypesAToM Leman Russ]], of all the Primarchs, actually pointed out the fact that Titus is, ironically, ''following the Codex Astartes properly''.
-->'''Leman Russ''': Gulliman, despite being a bit of an [[{{Jerkass}} self-righteous arse]], was ''[[GeniusBruiser smart]]'', [[TheSmartGuy the smartest of all of us]]. He even said he was certain that the ''Codex Astartes'' was imperfect, and not a holy writ to blindly adhere to.
* Titus also holds a special distinction amongst his brothers in the Pantheon: [[VideoGame/Warhammer40000SpaceMarine His game]] is what, essentially, single-handedly redeemed the ''entire'' Chapter of Ultramarines from being [[TheScrappy so hated]]. Marneus Calgar even acknowledged this, stating that if it wasn't for Titus, they wouldn't even be in the Pantheon proper.
* One oddity of Titus that came about during the [[VideoGame/Warhammer40000SpaceMarine Liberation of Graia]] is his [[IncorruptiblePurePureness unusual Warp-resistance]]. Titus has displayed a potent resistance to the psychic powers unleashed by the servants of Chaos on multiple occasions, the origin of which is unknown but which has laid suspicion upon him of somehow having been corrupted by the Ruinous Powers. There is no sign of such a taint, nor has the captain been deemed to be a psyker, so the nature and scope of this resistance remains unknown at the present time, though [[WildMassGuessing many theories abound]], including that he is possibly a [[AntiMagic low-end Null, or "Psychic Blank"]].
* Another oddity of Titus is his age: He is only 175 years old. That is young for a Space Marine, let alone a ''Captain''. Most Captains don't even ascend to that rank until they're at least ''twice'' Titus' age.
* [[Creator/MarkStrong Pinbacker's voice is the same]] as Titus, which displeases him a lot. Pinbacker in turn took one look at the dying world of Holy Terra, [[CrapsackWorld and the galaxy of the 41st millennium]], before declaring his antagonism to the Imperium of Mankind:
--> Pinbacker: "Your "Holy Terra" is an abomination, as is your Imperium. A festering half-living cinder of an entire galaxy where the Devil is God. And yet you fight to protect mankind's worthless existence? I swear on the name of the one true God that I will kill the cancer that I once called home, and I won't stop until your fetid galaxy has found the one true peace it needs-[[OmnicidalManiac the peace of the grave!]]
* Surprisingly for a SpaceMarine, Titus gets along well with Artanis, due to their shared [[YoungAndInCharge relative youth for their kind and being leaders]].
* Captain Pierce was at least pleased that there is a God of {{Military Maverick}}s and he just happened to be captain of one of the most unruly soldiers in the Pantheon. Captain Titus may not show his support for the man, but secretly admits that Hawkeye is good at maintaining high moral. All he asks is to keep the happy hours at a minimum.

* Unclear relationship with: [[Pantheon/CommonColors Kho]][[Pantheon/ObsceneActions rne]]
* In the annals of history, there are names of some conquerors that tower among all other. One of such is Genghis Khan. Born Temujin, he would use common enemies [[GenghisGambit to unite the Mongols]], founding one of the biggest and most successful empires in history. One of the greatest warlords of all time, it only seemed a matter of time until he claimed his place under the House of War.
** Would prefer to only be referred to as Genghis Khan.
* He was impressed by both Ozymandias' own GenghisGambit, and is generally favorable to those who promote merit in their soldiers. Princess Morbucks annoys the Hell of out him due to her spoiled nature.
** Not sure what to think of [[Pantheon/MotivationsForWar Lelouch]] using a GenghisGambit [[spoiler:on himself]].
* Is one of the greatest conquerors in human history; at his peak, his empire composed of 22% of the world's lands, and has only been surpassed by the British Empire. Yes, even more than what the Romans or ''Alexander the Great'' accomplished. Still, they're comparable and the two conquerors can't help but [[WorthyOpponent respect one another]]. Most agree that if they ever team up, at the minimum they'll have conquered the House of War.
** Is nothing less than impressed at Chou Chou for her successful conquest.
* Has been considered for both the GUAG and GUAE, as he's seen as both [[HistoricalHeroUpgrade a savior to the Mongols]] and [[HistoricalVillainUpgrade a genocidal maniac]]. The truth is that he's kind of both; he was utterly ruthless to his enemies and responsible for killing '''30 million people''' (over a sixth of the human population at the time), however, was tolerant towards the beliefs of his conquered people and established a vast and effective trade system for Asia. Personally, he considers himself "[[WellIntentionedExtremist a source of order through necessary evil]]".
* Currently, he's siding with Eliphas' reformists in the GUAL. True, his desire for order at whatever cost through war and ruthlessness towards it would have him work under YHVH, but he doesn't approve of YHVH's desire to oppress other faiths. This has been exacerbated by the Western world disdaining him.
* Important to remember that while coming off as savage, Genghis Khan was a ReasonableAuthorityFigure and [[ValuesResonance in some ways lax for his time]]. He brought order, even if it came at the cost of ''[[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans millions]]''. He agrees with like-minded conquerors and despots such as Egil, Klaus and Lord Genome. He does not do war for its own sake, and as such heavily disagrees with the likes of Apocalypse. [[PragmaticVillainy Not that he doesn't disavow his ruthlessness, though]].
* His propensity for [[RapePillageAndBurn brutality in warfare]] is well-known, but somewhat exaggerated. The Khan doesn't mind, however, as [[TheDreaded it makes him feared]] and thus even more impressive. Red Sonja knows his habits and has told him to back off or she'll castrate him. Rumor has it he died in a similar scenario. That being said, the Khan is not one to discriminate or under-estimate women.
* [[WebVideo/EpicRapBattlesOfHistory He once had a rap battle against the Easter Bunny]]. [[CurbStompBattle Poor, poor Easter Bunny]]... Also once intended to barge through the TARDIS, and still hopes to do so [[Pantheon/TimeAndTemporality upon learning about the Doctor]]. At one point, [[Series/{{DeadliestWarrior}} he fought Hannibal Barca]]. [[spoiler:he won]].
* Vandal Savage has claimed to have been Genghis Khan, but the latter has called bullshit on this, stating "typical Vandal, always trying to steal credit from the greatest of conquerors". He's on record stating that Vandal did help out, but nowadays he recognizes him as a major competitor.
* Ended up joining Bill and Ted on their excellent adventure, though he caused some trouble at first by rampaging in the mall.
* Has no known relation to [[Pantheon/{{Attitude}} Shao Khan]], and would like to remind [[Pantheon/SpaceAndCosmos Captain Kirk]] he's unconnected to his Khan. Or [[Pantheon/{{Leadership}} Darkseid's]] father Yuga Khan. [[AVillainNamedKhan Has noticed a lot of villains like to stylize themselves after him]].
** He's still related to a lot of people(about 0.5% of modern humanity), [[ReallyGetsAround having fathered 1000+ children]]. [[Pantheon/{{Headwear}} Even Robert Baratheon]] was dumbfounded.
* Some Imperium records speculate that his wars resulting in the formation of Khorne himself, however, there's no confirmation. It's also believed he may be the ancient Chaos soldier Doombreed, but no solid evidence has been made. Khan simply regards the Imperium of Mankind, and more specifically its Emperor has one of his great rivals.
* Is not averse to biological warfare, or other painful medical calamities. He considers the HarmfulHealing of The Medic to be fascinating and has hired him. Not going to touch Typhus and Nurgle however; [[EveryoneHasStandards they're too crazy for him]]. He's trying to take out Tony Tony Chopper and Retsu Unohana as their position poses a threat to his biological warfare.
* A really big PapaWolf to his daughter, once killing a man [[DisproportionateRetribution who called her a frog]](as minor an insult as saying she had loud clothes). Even [[Manga/{{FullmetalAlchemist}} Maes Hughes]] and [[Pantheon/{{Fathers}} Bryan Mills]] thought it was overkill.
* [[Pantheon/HairStyles Zoran Lazarevic]] cites him as a great man "Because they had the will to do what other men could not". Keep in mind, he also mentions Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot...take that with a grain of salt. Genghis Khan isn't sure what to feel about the comparison.
* His reputation is so great, [[AVillainNamedKhan that others have adopted his name as inspiration]]. Khan Singh is the only one in the Pantheon who could say he is an ancestor of the great conquerer. While he was unsuccessful against Kirk, he gained the respect of the Mongul.

* Respects: [[Pantheon/MindGames Light Yagami]], [[Pantheon/BetrayalAndTreachery Starscream]], [[Pantheon/{{Planning}} Adrian Veidt]]
* The second son of Emperors Charles, Schneizel el Britannia is the charismatic and efficient Prime Minister of Holy Britannia. What he lacks in flashiness he makes up in spades with a BoringButPractical strategy. He comes off as a chivalrous AntiVillain, [[AffablyEvil and while a lot of that is true]] there is [[AxCrazy a vicious]] [[TheSociopath sociopath]] behind the mask.
* Schneizel has a positive vision of peace, but believes humanity in it's own is not capable of achieving it. Instead he ascribes to the "AppealToForce" philosophy. His means? Threatening mankind with a nuclear space ship. Given his cynicism of the use of nuclear weapons IOTL, and his desire to control nuclear proliferation, Albert Einstein was horrified at this. As he was disgusted by Schneizel's manipulation of Nina Einstein.
* Despite being a KillSat, SCP-2578-D opposes Schneizel. Despite using a KillSat, Schneizel opposes Dr Weil. The former is because it opposes any and all tyrants, and that includes ones in the making like the White Prince. He considers the SCP somewhat of a hypocrite as he is using similar force to deter dictators as dictators themselves use. Opposing Weil is more [[EvenEvilHasStandards a matter of morality]], as Weil wanted to use a KillSat to destroy the LastFertileRegion so nothing can stop him [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans from tormenting man and machine]]. Schneizel is decisively [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans utiltarian in his worldview]].
* Quite the VillainWithGoodPublicity, much like Lex Luthor. And both of them are convinced that what they do is to protect mankind. Luthor is more fueled by [[GreenEyedMonster envy]] for "[[FantasticRacism the alien]]" [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist and is more selfish]] than the Cold-Blooded Strategist, however their brilliant minds are something the two approve of. The Justice League is on watch for Schneizel in case he tries to install Damocles. Part of their opposition comes from [[WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague their own satellite being critiqued for potentially applying]] AppealToForce, along with [[KnightTemplar their Justice Lords counterparts]]. The Regime Superman, however, wholeheartedly approves of what Schneizel is doing.
* Sinestro also supports what Schneizel is doing. His desire for order leads to a different take on AppealToForce; use fear, whether it be the Sinestro Corps or his old Green Lantern Corps, to ensure order and that people behave. [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor Whether a villain or anti-hero]], he keeps this ethic. However he doesn't believe that Schneizel is ready just yet for a Sinestro Corps ring; he needs more success before doing so.
* Schneizel isn't sure if he wants to team up with Kira or Ozymandias, but he likes what they're doing right now. The Death Note is an effective weapon to ensure a safer society [[TotalitarianUtilitarian through fear]], however he is wary of Light's MotiveDecay and [[AGodAmI god complex]]. Adrian Veidt's strategy of creating an enemy to unite mankind over instead of them leaving them to devolve into conflict was something Schneizel approved of, but believes the execution is lacking. More generally he respects the ambition of Starscream given his desire to usurp his father, and Lelouch has critiqued him for not having enough ambition.
* It was only natural for Schneizel to join the GUAL, and have disdain for the GUAC. He agrees with YHVH that humanity needs someone to make the decisions for them, though Schneizel doesn't think literally stripping the human soul of its volition is necessary. He is more into Yaldabaoth's ideals, that being ''societal'' control. Rorschach, who already was reminded of Ozymandias in him, was given more reason to hate Schneizel with his membership in the GUAL.
* His views on Grand Moff Tarkin are conflicted. They share a key military philosophy: that fear discourages rebellion, and AppealToForce is the way to go. The Death Star [[EarthShatteringKaboom is more extreme]] than Damocles, but shares a similar function, However he criticizes Tarkin for blasting Alderaan [[PragmaticVillainy as a matter of pragmatism]]; namely if you want to prove your point, test the Death Star on a nearby uninhabited world(say [[DetonationMoon a moon of an Imperial planet]]) or a world that clearly defected and is open rebellion. The Cold-Blooded Strategist believes the Tarkin Doctrine failed not as a case of [[MachiavelliWasWrong rule by fear not working]], but [[StupidEvil foolishness in targeting parts of the Empire]]. To his credit, Tarkin has taken that into notice and is going to test on rebellious world's neighboring, uninhabited planets, but has a lot to learn before avoiding being hated more than being feared.
* Blond, German-sounding name, part of an empire where social darwinism and FantasticRacism are commonplace. It's stuff like this that led [[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfGood the GUAG]] [[ANaziByAnyOtherName to invoke Godwin's Law on him]], a comparison he finds rather annoying. Captain America told him to his face, quoting [[Film/TheAvengers2012 a brave old German]], "there are [[UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler always]] men like you". Schneizel complained about this, though to his credit [[EvenEvilHasStandards he considers the Red Skull rather loathsome]] and actual Nazism to be StupidEvil.
* Despite his dislike of the Red Skull, Schneizel does consider HYDRA [[WorthyOpponent worthy competition]]. They'd rather have their own vision of world domination achieved and consider him somewhat of an interloper, but there is some admiration for their craft from both sides; they both have an agreement about TheEvilsOfFreeWill. However this is more a recent and [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse MCU]] view, as comic HYDRA has longer held a simpler DespotismJustifiesTheMeans approach. This fraternizing has only enforced Steve Roger's view that he is no different from any inspiring tyrant.
* While similar to Gihren Zabi, the two don't see eye to eye. Gihren was confused given he also believes in using force to maintain control and usurped his own father, plus they're both [[TheSociopath sociopaths]]. However Schneizel [[EvenEvilHasStandards finds Gihren a bit too cruel]], and has pointed out to him [[StrawHypocrite he doesn't even believe in his social darwinism]]. [[DespotismJustifiesTheMeans All he wants is to be the most powerful man in the world]], and that will not work for the White Prince's vision of a world by peace through force.
* Though disliking Gihren, they have too many similarities to be full-fledged enemies. Schneizel dislikes Zapp Brannigan too, but considers him too worthless to spend time antagonizing. Though they share a LackOfEmpathy, Zapp [[GeneralFailure is an incompetent general]] who's ability to keep his job and [[VillainWithGoodPublicity inexplicably good public image]] is an embarrassment for someone who prides himself on strategies. He doesn't like Embryo that much given his crimes controlling people, raping young women, and destroying worlds he is unsatisfied with [[EvenEvilHasStandards come off as too far]], and Embryo doesn't care about him either; namely, his willingness to play God coupled with a lack of ambition.
* [[spoiler:[[FateWorseThanDeath Was Geassed to obey Zero's orders]]. In order to be effective in the pantheon at all, the GUAL kidnapped [[Pantheon/ObedienceMindsets Jeremiah Gottwald]] and a number of Britannian scientists to construct a Geass Canceller for Schneizel. They've managed to release him from Lelouch's directive, however [[VillainousBreakdown he remains far more nervous and high-strung in the pantheon]], having come to fear his brother and the idea of ever being brainwashed again.]]

* Once she learned that the [[Pantheon/{{Plants}} Pikmins]] used to be deities of ZergRush, she was baffled at how these weak, minuscule creatures could even compare themselves to the Swarm.
* Known for her violence, she would wish to assimilate all that would oppose the Swarm. Heroes, villains, [[AndZoidberg ...and Murky]], all alike will become one with the Swarm.
* Interestingly, though she wants to take over the Swarm as their leader, she hasn't betrayed Kerrigan for the moment. She thought that wasn't good a leader as Kerrigan was and try to learn as preparations for when she comes into power. She mocks Starscream for failing this test and not understanding vision, which earned her the ire of the Decepticon.
* To all aliens who are [[HordeOfAlienLocusts a horde]], she thinks that they are inferior to the Swarm so she is a rival to them, even if Kerrigan sees some of them as allies.
* As she follows Kerrigan, she opposes Amon and is certainly furious that he controlled some part of the Zerg Swarm. She wants to destroy the Fallen Xel'naga with the might of the Swarm.
* As a Zerg that uses numbers to her advantage, she certainly dislikes fire that could turn her swarm into a pile of ashes. This is in principle of the fact that she hates anyone that can do damage to an entire group. Especially Tassadar who can just shield buildings and use Psionic Storm on her minions.
* The House of Love has been unsure of how she would be courted with Anub'arak. The two are of different species and universes; not to mention that they never really go anywhere with making advances. Anub'arak would complement [[ShowSomeLeg her legs]], in which she called a creep.
** However, every Valentine's Day or equivalents, Anub'arak is sometimes painted by someone to [[http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/heroesofthestorm.gamepedia.com/3/35/Anub%27arak_Love_Bug_1.jpg this color]] and presents himself to her. This was [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3wURQFNbhU after finding him on dating service]].
* As the practicer of this tactics, she notes some other deities in the Pantheon that have used these tactics.
** [[Pantheon/{{Otherness}} Ghirahim]] sent a horde of Bokoblins, Bublins, and Staflos at Link to slow him down from preventing Demise's resurrection in the past. She is a bit impressed when he knew that they couldn't even do harm to Link so he just sent loads of them just for slowing Link down.
** She is amused but at the same time, disappointed about Zapp Brannigan and his tactics. One of his strategies including sending waves of troops against kill-bots until their "kill limit" exceeds reminded her of before she learned vision and sees him as a pathetic leader. She also wondered how humanity managed to survive with him as their line of defense if they haven't faced a threat like her.

* Staff Sergeants Matthew Baker and Joseph Hartsock were paratroopers from the 101st Airborne Division who had served in both Normandy and the Netherlands in 1944. Much like fellow 101st Airborne Division members Major Richard Winters, Capt. Ronald Spiers, and Sgt. Jack Barnes, they fought against forces of the German Heer, Fallschirmjager, and Waffen-SS while TrappedBehindEnemyLines.
* Unlike most of their fellow paratroopers, and by extension some of the other Allied deities in the Pantheon, Baker and Hartsock always fought as part of a team, usually with several other soldiers under their command. Their style of combat, in contrast to the run and gun style performed by most others, relied heavily on the "Four [=Fs=]". These were: finding an enemy, fixing them with their weapons, flanking them to the side and/or rear, and then finishing them off by getting close to them.
** Said tactics relied heavily on their squads being in two teams: The Base of Fire Team, and the Assault Team. The Base of Fire Team, or Fire Team for short, were usually armed with light machine guns and heavy semi-automatic rifles, and were intended to suppress the enemy from afar. The Assault Team, as their name suggested, were intended to flank and assault the enemy up close. For this, they were typically armed with submachine guns, carbines, as well as light machine guns on occasion.
*** Of special note here is that, prior to becoming a Squad Leader himself, Hartsock was formerly Baker's Fire Team Leader.
** On certain occasions, they would be assisted by tanks from either the US or British Armies, depending on their area of operations. These would range from the [=M5=] Stuart Light tank, to the [=M4=] Sherman tank and its British variant, the Firefly. and even on rare occasions, the [=M10=] Wolverine Tank Destroyer.
** By Operation Market-Garden, Baker would add a third type of team to his squad, the Heavy Weapons Team, equipped with either a Bazooka or a Browning [=M1919=] Light Machine Gun. Thanks to the harder hitting power of these weapons, they were capable of destroying [[AntiStructure emplacements, weak cover]], [[AntiVehicle supply trucks]], or, in the case of the bazooka, [[AntiArmor tanks]].
* Initially getting scattered and separated during the D-Day drop in the early hours of June 6th, 1944, Baker and Hartsock were fortunately able to rally with friendly paratroopers such Staff Sergeant "Mac" Hassay and Cpl. Seamus Doyle. With the help of a few other paratroopers, they manage to separately wreak havoc on the [[CannonFodder poorly-trained Osttruppen sent to intrude on their drop zones]], Baker and Red managed to rendezvous just behind Utah Beach. From then on they, with the eventual additions of Allen and Garnett, continued to wreak havoc on the Germans, this time directed at the Heer Infanterie of the German 91st Infanterie Division.
* Following D-Day, both Baker and Red would continue achieving their increasingly difficult objectives at the cost of a number of their own men (including [[spoiler:the aforementioned Allen and Garnett]]), including taking the towns of Vierville and St. Come du Mont. With the path now cleared, they were ordered to proceed to the 101st Airborne's ultimate objective in Normandy: the city of Carentan. What followed was a 2-day struggle between the 101st and the newly-arrived [[EliteMooks 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division]], who made a heated defense in and around the city and launched at least two major counterattacks in an attempt to hold the city. At the cost of several more men, Baker, Hartsock, and the rest of 2nd and 3rd squad were able to repel the Germans.
** Thanks to 2nd Squad and 1st Squad suffering heavy casualties on D-Day, including the loss of the former's original squad leader, one Sgt. Bixby, Hartsock was chosen to replace the fallen Sergeant, and was thus promoted himself. The members of 1st squad were also folded into 2nd, due to a shortage of manpower. It was following this FieldPromotion that Hartsock and Baker would finally clear Carentan of German resistance for good, first by attacking the warehouse strongholds they held, and then finishing them off by cutting them off at the Carentan city plaza.
* With Carentan secured, Hartsock and his squad would now fight their own battles. At Baupte, Hartsock would lose his BAR and part of his ring finger. Despite this setback, he and 2nd squad were able to capture and secure the town and its outskirts, disabling 4 German tanks, 3 half-tracks, and several artillery guns in the process. He would see meet Doyle once more, who, like Hartsock, was now a Sergeant himself.
* During the clearing out of the hedgerow fields surrounding Baupte, Lt. Col. Patrick Cassidy, commander of the 1st battalion of the 502nd PIR, had discovered maps containing the location of several German artillery batteries surrounding St. Sauveur le Vicomte, the main objective of the 82nd Airborne. Under orders from Cassidy, Hartsock and his squad took the captured German maps to Sgt. Doyle, who was leading a push into St. Sauveur. It was following their successful delivery of these maps that Doyle requested Hartsock and his squad help the 82nd capture St. Sauveur, to which all of them volunteered to do. While Hartsock and his squad were ultimately successful in helping to capture both the outskirts of the city and the city itself, [[spoiler:it came at the price of Doyle's and Pvt. Paige's lives.]]
* Both Baker's and Hartsock's experiences in Normandy would then be documented by one [[HistoricalDomainCharacter Col. S.L.A. Marshall]], who intended to use the notes he had gathered to help the US Army in future battles. Following this, the 101st Airborne would be sent back to England to rest and refit. During this interim period, both Sergeants [[RankUp were promoted to Staff Sergeant]], and both 2nd and 3rd squad received replacements, both NewMeat types and veterans from other units. Both 2nd and 3rd squad would also be reassigned to the 101st Airborne's reconnaissance units, with them switching to becoming Glider Infantry rather than paratroopers.
* Baker's and Hartsock's last known combat jump together would be Operation Market-Garden. While initially successful in capturing and then holding most of their objectives, as the days passed, the situation became increasingly desperate for them. Mounting casualties [[spoiler:including Hartsock himself getting paralyzed from the waist down]], incessant German attacks, delays in the British advance, and [[spoiler:Baker [[SanitySlippage slowly losing it]] [[ShellShockedVeteran due to PTSD]]]], to name a few.
* Ultimately, Operation Market-Garden failed, becoming a strategic failure on the Allies' part due to the failure to capture the important Arnhem bridge. Despite this, however, the 101st were ordered to secure the German-held town of Koevering. Temporarily taking command of 2nd squad and merging it with 3rd, Baker and the men of both squads ended up destroying no less than five 88mm Flak guns protecting the town, and dropping artillery on the German positions, forcing them into a hasty retreat. With the help of British tanks, the German positions around Koevering were eliminated, with their remaining tanks and artillery pieces destroyed in the process.
* Following this FinalBattle to save the Allied bridgehead, Baker, now having to face a number of problems both personal and command-related, ultimately decided to deal with them then and there. He made a RousingSpeech in front of both 2nd and 3rd squads, and managed to regain the trust of most of his men sans [[TookALevelInJerkass Corrion]], who had come to distrust Baker over being passed for promotion one too many times and finding out [[spoiler:the truth regarding Allen's, Garnett's, and Leggett's deaths]]. Sadly, as of this writing, [[LeftHanging this would be the last of Baker's and Hartsock's story]] [[SequelHook despite the hint that they would see combat in the Ardennes next]].
* With the [[Pantheon/{{Enemies}} ever increasing number of German troops]] in the Pantheon, the American Airborne commanders, namely Major Winters and Captain Spiers, decided it was time to request additional reinforcements once more. And so, with the approval of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and help from fellow paratroopers Sgt. Jack Barnes and Cpl. Boyd Travers, they were able to find the ideal deities: Staff Sergeants Matthew Baker and Joseph Hartsock, with both of their current squads as their High Priests.
* On one sunny day, out in one of the Pantheon's wide open fields, a bunch of gliders drop out of the sky, having been released by their C-47 transport tugs. These men, all part of the 101st Airborne's recon units, all manage to land successfully in an open field, with no German patrols in sight. Not wasting any time, the men emerge out of the gliders, with jeeps and heavy weapons in tow. They then drive to their rendezvous point, where they meet their contact: one Sgt. Jack Barnes. He then briefs them about the Pantheon and their current situation. The squad leaders promptly introduce themselves to Barnes as Staff Sergeants Matthew Baker and Joseph Hartsock, to which Barnes is relieved, meaning that their efforts to get more men in succeeded.
** Of special note is that [[spoiler:despite having suffered a CareerEndingInjury in his universe]], Hartsock is very much capable of leading men here in the Pantheon. Baker, on the other hand, still retains all the scars he had gotten from Normandy and Holland.
* Wasting no time, Barnes tells them about the German patrols in the nearby Temples and Dominions, and tells them to look for Major Winters and Captain Spiers along the way. Immediately, the two squad leaders and their men get to work, splitting up in order to cover more ground and to increase chances of encountering the enemy. They end up making contact with elements of the Waffen-SS as well as the Valkyrie Jager. Using fire-and-maneuver tactics, they're able to counter the numerically superior and better-armed and equipped enemy, all without incurring any casualties.
** Both Baker and Hartsock note that, despite the Waffen-SS Panzergrenadiers giving them absolute hell back in Normandy and the Netherlands, the ones they had encountered were noticeably less competent and overall weaker. And this is despite their enemies' arsenal being more lethal this time around.
** With regards to the Valkyrie Jager, however, both squad leaders agree that these troops are far more competent than the men of the 6th Fallschirmjager Regiment that they had encountered in Normandy and the Netherlands.
* Despite their experience against these German infantry types, nothing could have prepared the two Staff Sergeants for what they were about to face. While the Waffen Storm Leaders had about the same competence as the Panzergrenadiers that had given the paratroopers of the 101st hell in Normandy, the Nazi Storm Elites were a completely different story altogether. Expecting the MG 42-wielding soldiers to be either easy to pick off from a distance or suppress easily, they were shocked to find out that this was not the case. Fortunately for Baker and Hartsock, they had ascended into the Pantheon with a sizable amount of heavy weapons, including a bazooka and a light machine gun. Before they could get Jasper, their heavy weapons team leader, to fire either weapon, the Nazi Storm Elites are dispatched by unseen gunfire. Not long after, it's revealed that the Germans were dispatched by none other than Cpl. Boyd Travers, who then takes the two Staff Sergeants and their squads to meet with Winters and Spiers.
* Now in the relative safety of Allied lines, the two 101st Airborne officers brief their recon counterparts, first about the current combat situation, and then about the Pantheon. To say that both men were surprised that there was more to this new place would be an {{Understatement}}. Among other things, they were both in disbelief when Winters tells them that Superman and Batman, two comic book characters in their universe, exist here as real people. Not only that, but they're also stunned for a moment when they're introduced to Steve Rogers, better known as Captain America, which pretty much proves Winters' statement to them.
** The Captain then briefs about the Nazi German presence in the Pantheon, namely about Johann Schmidt, HYDRA, and the former's plans of conquering the Pantheon and having it ruled under a military dictatorship in his image. Rogers continues that to achieve these goals, he's been looking for alternate universes and recruiting both officers and entire units from said universes. Among them included the German units they had just cleared out, complete with equipment and weaponry provided to them by Dr. Arnim Zola and SS General Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse.
* Temporarily lending both of their squads to Major Winters for the time being, both Baker and Hartsock decide to take a tour of the Pantheon. Meeting up with other American soldiers from their time period, they decide to share combat experiences and stories with them. It's through them that they also learn more about the which deities are their allies and more details on who else composes the Axis Forces.
** Amongst other things to surprise them was the existence of the 501st JFW, composed of girls at least 6 years their junior, with several being from alternate versions of the Axis countries. Thanks to being briefed ahead by Winters, Rogers, and the other American soldiers, no conflict happens between them. In fact, they decide to listen to what they have to say, which in this case about other threats outside of the Nazis, particularly The Neuroi, who at this point have a reputation for bringing down both Allied and Axis aircraft in the midst of the Pantheon's ForeverWar. Both Baker and Hartsock take their warnings seriously, especially considering that they've already been attacked by the German Luftwaffe twice. If two Stukas and a squadron of Heinkels were already problematic, what more for advanced alien aircraft?
* Further into their tour of the Pantheon, they come across several deities who are of the ShellShockedVeteran variety, namely Joe Benham, Violet Evergarden, and Niko Bellic.
** While both men respect and at the same time pity Benham for his service during the previous war, they do not respect his opposition to war. It doesn't help that both Baker and Hartsock are volunteers, meaning they chose to go InHarmsWay and fight for their country. Hartsock himself counted his blessings, knowing [[spoiler:his near-death experience and paralysis back in Holland could have had him end up similarly to Benham. Thankfully, he had ascended still being able to walk.]]
** Both of them were surprised that someone like Violet Evergarden had fought in a war just as brutal as the one they themselves had fought and survived. Hartsock especially sympathizes with her, given he almost lost an entire finger [[spoiler:and himself had suffered a CareerEndingInjury in his own universe.]]
** Baker gets along surprisingly well with Niko Bellic, despite the latter's criminal records. It helps that both he and Niko have been forced into making hard decisions, and have to cope with the loss of friends on the battlefield.
* One deity both men have come to despise is Captain Martin Walker. Like Baker and Hartsock, he has gone through similar, horrifying experiences in battle, complete with trying to cope with said trauma. Unlike the two Staff Sergeants, however, Walker has the potential to become an outright villain, in contrast to Baker who ultimately chose to remain heroic, lead his men by example, and face his problems head-on.
* Of interesting note is the contrast between Baker's and Hartsock's squads to Squad 7. Both their stories involve being caught in [[WarIsHell hellish wartime situations]] set in the 1940s (or in the case of Squad 7, a 1940s-esque time period) and relying on [[TheSquad their respective squads]] to survive, achieve their objectives, and ultimately victory. However, while the former's story relies on ThePowerOfFriendship and plays AFatherToHisMen straight, Baker's and Hartsock's case ultimately makes AFatherToHisMen a DeconstructedTrope over the course of the series, culminating in [[spoiler:men getting killed or badly wounded, increasing distrust among the men in their squads, and one even leaving the squad outright]].
* Many deities have noted that Baker sounds a ''lot'' like several other, unrelated deities such as Booker [=DeWitt=] or even Vincent Brooks. Elizabeth, Booker's associate, theorizes that Baker, Booker, and Brooks are AlternateUniverse versions of each other, to which Baker, Brooks, and [=DeWitt=] scoff the idea given their different backstories and time periods to one another. Not helping the girl's theory are Baker and Brooks having associations with sheep (albeit in two completely different ways).
* There's a rumor going around the Pantheon that Baker [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-_TKXxGpbk actually has the ability to call in a squad of sheep and utilize them as suicide bombers]]. Other rumors even have him recruiting Shaun the Sheep into 3rd squad at one point (with Baker even giving the latter a US M1 Helmet), and having Shaun fight against a patrol of German soldiers. Baker himself denies any of this, while Hartsock finds this story to be incredibly funny.

* Born in Texas on February 24, 1885, Chester Nimitz has since become one of the most celebrated admirals in American history. A famously level-headed man, Nimitz presided over the arduous [=WW2=] Allied campaign in the Pacific Ocean as commander in chief of the United States Pacific Fleet after his predecessor was sacked for failing to foresee the attack on Pearl Harbor. He contributed greatly to the war against Japan with the strategy of 'island hopping', the occupation of outlying islands as operating bases to attack the Japanese home islands. In 1944, Nimitz was promoted to the newly-created rank of Fleet Admiral in recognition of his achievements and by the next year was the American representative at the Japanese surrender on the USS ''Missouri''. After the war, Nimitz became Chief of Naval Operations for two years, downsizing the US Navy and supporting the construction of the world's first nuclear-powered vehicle, the submarine USS ''Nautilus''. He retired in 1947 and died on February 20, 1966 of pneumonia.
** Nimitz's honorable title is for his masterful leadership of forces at the Battle of Midway, the naval battle that spelled the beginning of the end for the Japanese. All four of their aircraft carriers were destroyed thanks to his soldiers in Task Force 16 and 17.
* [[YouAreInCommandNow Suddenly appointed as the Commander-in-Chief of US Naval Forces in the Pacific in March 1942]] by Admiral Ernest Joseph King, Nimitz was immediately ordered to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Immediately assigning [[TheSmartGuy Lt. Commander Edwin Layton]] as one of his staff members, he, with Layton's help, tried to find a way to make use of recently deciphered Japanese codes, courtesy of one [[BunnyEarsLawyer Commander Joseph John Rochefort]]. They got their breakthrough just a month or two later, following the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo and a handful of other Japanese cities.
* With the Japanese homeland having been attacked for the first time in their history, the Japanese high command had decided to step up their invasion plans. Among the messages intercepted by Rochefort and his team of codebreakers included a planned attack on an objective known simply as "AF". With Nimitz's convincing, Layton and Rochefort were able to deduce the true identity of this objective by having Midway island send out a false communique stating that their water tanks were broken, which the Japanese fell hook, line, and sinker for.
* Through this intel, Nimitz arranged for the strengthening of Midway island's defenses, as well as an elaborate ambush with the US Pacific Fleet's 3 remaining aircraft carriers. Ultimately, this gamble had paid off, with the Japanese losing 4 aircraft carriers, and hundreds of trained crewmen and pilots. Among the latter included Rear Admiral Tamon Yamaguchi, one of the IJN's most competent flag officers, and a thorn on the Allied side until that point in the war.
* With Midway ending in a decisive victory for the United States, Nimitz would continue to command the US Pacific Fleet in several more decisive battles and campaigns, including the Guadalcanal campaign, the Battle of the Philippine Sea, and the Battle of Leyte Gulf, which would kill off even more of Japan's most experienced pilots and crew, as well as result in the losses of irreplaceable ships and planes.
* Nimitz's ascension in the Pantheon, much like his appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the US Pacific Fleet, was during a dire situation. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, already fighting a two-front war against the Nazis and Imperial Japanese, is also burdened by incessant attacks on US transport and supply ships from non-aligned monsters such as the Abyssal Fleet and its allies. With Nimitz, alongside his fellow Admirals acting as his Heralds, taking direct command of all US Navy and Marine forces in the Pantheon, this eases much of Roosevelt's workload, allowing him to direct his attention against the Nazis for the time being.
* Immediately, Nimitz and company are briefed by Lt. Commander Dick Best on the strategic situation, being the closest thing to the Admirals' eyes and ears in the Pantheon. Trusting Best's piloting skills and intel, Nimitz begins crafting new strategies to counter the Japanese as well as their new enemies.
** For the most part, his strategy against the Japanese is still largely the same, with "Island Hopping" still proving to be viable against Shima's forces as it did during the Pacific War.
** With the Abyssal threat, however, he's forced to learn about how they work, and the ship girls who can effectively counter them. Inevitably, he finds out about The Admiral as well as the IJN Fleet Girls, to which he is less than pleased about. To say that many of his fellow Admirals, King, Halsey, Fletcher, and Spruance were furious to see them, would be an {{Understatement}}. It doesn't help that President Roosevelt himself refuses to open diplomatic channels with them, with the negotiating instead being done through American ship girls like Iowa. Ultimately, Nimitz realizes that the Abyssals, and by extension its allies, are at this point a much greater threat than the Imperial Japanese forces in the Pantheon, and decides, reluctantly so, to form an EnemyMine with his Japanese Admiral counterpart when dealing with these monsters, in exchange for allowing American ship girls such as Iowa, Atlanta, and Johnston to be put under US command, to which the Japanese Admiral agrees.
** With regards to the 501st JFW, he's more willing to work alongside them in their fight against The Neuroi (no thanks to them also proving to be a threat like the Abyssals), due in part to them being the only deities who can effectively counter the aerial threat, as well as the fact that the United States' counterpart in their universe, Liberion, was not at war with the Axis Powers, instead being allied with them to stop The Neuroi invasion. This info is enough to convince Nimitz's fellow Admirals to trust them.
* Atlanta, Iowa, and Johnston, despite having served The IJN Admiral, are all trusted by Nimitz and his fellow Admirals, thanks in no part to being vouched for by all of the US Marines and Navy pilots, in return for them saving their lives at different points.
* Enterprise and O'Bannon, hailing from an AlternateUniverse, are surprised to see Nimitz as an actual person, and not as a reincarnated SuperDeformed fairy with his likeness. Unsurprisingly, they agree to help Nimitz fight the Abyssal threat, and unquestionably serve under his command. They also end up becoming the one of the handful of personnel holding the very thin alliance between the US Navy and the IJN ship girls.
* With these new commanders, personnel, and strategies, the outnumbered US Navy and Marines begin winning several decisive battles, both against Shima's Imperial Japanese troops and against the Abyssals, enough to give the already stretched US forces the breathing space they so badly needed. News of these American victories soon spread out, impressing the likes of Grand Admiral Thrawn. While not enemies due to the differing nature of their universes as well as the very different enemies that they fight, both have nothing but mutual respect for one another despite their opposing alignments.
* Is, unsurprisingly, disliked by Suzu Houjou, no thanks to him and his Admirals being the men partially responsible for the US Army Air Force and Navy bombings at Kure that killed several of her friends and relatives, as well as the loss of one of her hands. Nimitz himself, as well as his fellow Admirals, distrust Nathan Algren, as, while he is opposed to the Imperial Japanese military in the Pantheon as a whole, isn't trusted at all by many of the US Marines under the Admiral's command.
* Much like his Commander-in-Chief, Nimitz vehemently opposes Jimmy's illegal actions, specifically his theft of military hardware. With a [[MeleeATrois three-way war]] going on, every bullet, every bomb, every vehicle, and every gallon of fuel very much counts. And, much like his subordinates, he also condemns Cole Phelps' actions during his time as a Marine, to the point that he would rather have the detective remain as such rather than be reinstated.
* ''"Through the skill and devotion to duty of their armed forces of all branches in the Midway area our citizens can now rejoice that a momentous victory is in the making."''

* UsefulNotes/WorldWarI, fought between August 1914 and November 1918, was one of the deadliest conflicts of the 20th century, and by extension human history. Of the various fronts of this war, the most prominent was none other than the Western Front, fought between France, the British Commonwealth, Belgium, and the United States against the forces of the German Empire. The primary method of fighting on this front involved Trench Warfare, where one side attacked the other's heavily defended trenchline, while the other defended that line from attack. In essence, it was one long series of bloody stalemates, with both sides [[HoldTheLine holding the line]]. The war itself would come to an end in November 1918, following the signing of an Armistice between the Entente and the German Empire.
* Notably, both the Entente Forces and Imperial German Forces on the Western Front are deployed as numerous units, with their standard deployment size each being four-man squads usually composed of a Squad Leader or Officer, a Rifleman, a machine gunner, and a specialist. There are some notable exceptions to this general rule, such as the German Pionere Squad getting a [[FireBreathingWeapon Flamethrower]] instead, or the USMC specialists getting [[ShotgunsAreJustBetter shotguns]] rather than rifles as a weapon option
** For the Entente, these squads include: From France, the Poilus, Chasseurs Alpins, and Tiralleurs Senegalais; From the UK and Commonwealth, the Tommies, [[BraveScot Highlanders]], Canadians, and [=ANZACs=]; From the United States, the US Doughboys and the [[SemperFi United States Marine Corps]]; And finally, there's the Belgian Forces.
** For the German Empire, they have 5 distinct infantry units, each specializing in different weapons and roles. There's the Landsers, the standard German infantrymen, the Schutzen, a HomeGuard unit specializing in defensive warfare, the Alpenjager, a reconnaissance unit originally intended for MountainWarfare, the Stosstruppen, who are specialized in trench assaults and have access to submachine guns, and finally, the Pionere, a [[TheEngineer combat engineer]] unit.
* In stark contrast to their World War II counterparts, who have a larger variety of weapon types ranging from bolt-action rifles to various assault and battle rifles, the World War I factions mainly use only bolt-action rifles, with only a handful getting access to automatic weapons, mainly light machine guns. Those that do get access to submachine guns and semi-automatic rifles are few and far between, due to the more limited technology of their time period and the rather limited and late deployment of these newer weapons at the tail end of the war.
* Both the Entente factions and the German Empire fought on various sectors of the Western Front, with the most notable of these battlefields being Flanders in Belgium, Picardie on the Somme, the Argonne Forest, and the Fort of Douaumont outside of Verdun, the latter three locations being in France. Unsurprisingly, thanks to the [[WarIsHell hellish conditions of a WWI-era battlefield]], all of these locations suffered from SceneryGorn in one way or another, with shell craters, dead soldiers and animals, barbed wire, ruined buildings, and miles of obstacles placed in No Man's Land, an area between the Entente and German trenches.
* Following the end of the war and the dissolution of the German Empire, the forces of both the Entente and the latter would somehow end up in the Pantheon. While it was already common to see deities from World War II ascend by the dozens if not hundreds, and deities who had fought through World War I or its alternate equivalent were already present prior, this was the first time that deities from the First World War would ascend into the Pantheon en masse. In addition, these were not former soldiers from that time period, but entire fully mobilized armies geared for trench assaults and defense.
** And, unsurprisingly, following their mass ascension, both armies once again began fighting over miles of trenchlines, with both Entente and German forces assaulting and/or defending these trenchlines, once again resulting in a massive bloody stalemate and apparent ForeverWar.
* Despite the 20-year time gap between then, many deities from the Second World War, particularly those of French and German nationality, very much sympathize with and are willing to help their predecessors now present in the Pantheon. Of particular note are General Franz Vahlen and Manon Batiste.
** The former was an officer in the Imperial German Army, and a huge advocate of the use of chemical weapons during the war. Thanks in part to wanting to get revenge on the Allies and wanting Germany to finally earn victory, he provided his Imperial German predecessors with much-needed funding for their war effort. Unfortunately, because of his own commitments to the Nazis' war against the Allies and Soviets in the Pantheon, he cannot provide enough aid alone, and thus resorts asking aid from several of his allies from alternate Imperial and Nazi Germanies to plug in the gap.
** The latter, meanwhile, while not a veteran of that war, had her own father fight in that war on the side of the French Army. Knowing the threat that the Germans posed in both World Wars all too well, she elects to provide the Entente with much-needed intelligence, particularly on the Imperial German Forces' size, strength, and troop types. Much like Vahlen, however, her own commitments in the ongoing ForeverWar between the Western Allies and Soviets against the Axis comes first and foremost, preventing her from doing anything more.
* Thanks to the presence of deities from AlternateTimeline {{Kaiser Reich}}s in the Pantheon, the Imperial German Forces have received more direct aid, namely from two prominent {{Military Mage}}s in the form of Tanya von Degurechaff and Sophie, who hail from a 1920s {{Kaiserreich}} and an equivalent of ''both'' Nazi Germany and the German Empire, respectively. On the flipside, the Entente have been helped immensely by Diana of Themyscera, better known as Wonder Woman, and Izetta, Sophie's ArchEnemy and known for saving her home nation of Eylstadt from an invasion by a militaristic Empire. The end result? Both sides end up being witness to an OutsideContextProblem that none of them were ever prepared for, with both the Witches and the Amazon tearing easily through their respective ranks like hot knives through butter. Unsurprisingly, one side fears the other to the point that they consider them TheDreaded, while the other is cheered on as a WarHero slash PropagandaHero slash messiah.
* Despite his terrible past experience, in this a betrayal, at the hands of his former Empire, Lt. Col. Arnold Berkman, partly out of a sense of curiosity and partly to potentially divert Allied attention away from the Axis, decides to help his AlternateTimeline counterparts in their war against the Entente. Thanks to his experience in espionage, he provides them with vital intelligence on the size, strength, and types of enemy forces. In essence, he's acting as the EvilCounterpart of sorts to Manon Batiste.
* And indeed, while the Nazis as a whole cannot provide most materiel or manpower aid to their Imperial German predecessors, they can provide one thing to them without much issue: [[DeadlyGas chemical weapons]]. Whilst Hitler and many of his followers forbade or held back the use of such weapons during World War II, this was very much not the case during the First World War, where chemical weapons were used en masse. Because of this fact, many Nazis, including the aforementioned Vahlen, have elected to have their Imperial German predecessors perform live-fire tests of the their two most potent chemical weapons: the Fort Schmerzen mustard gas and Nova-6.
* While it has been mentioned that there are World War I veterans slash former servicemen in the Pantheon, it's highly unlikely that ''any one'' of them would want anything to do with that war anymore and aid their fellow countrymen. For one, Joe Benham is very much ''not'' in any capability to fight, having been blinded and severely maimed during the way (to the point his fellow countrymen absolutely pity him and send food and monetary donations to him out of concern), Paul Baumer is still traumatized about the war and doesn't even want anything to do with the German Empire anymore (having been killed in action against the French in the past probably helps), and Captain Elliot Spencer has since become a demonic being with little to no shred of his former life (and he'd probably kill anyone on both sides who's unlucky enough to touch his puzzle box, anyway).
* While not a veteran of World War I per se, Violet Evergarden has seen action in a similarly bloody and violent war in her own respective universe, and has since moved on from being a soldier. Upon hearing and then seeing that people, in this case from an AlternateTimeline, are still very much capable of the same industrialized violence against their fellow man, she makes it a point not to involve herself in their ongoing ForeverWar, in stark contrast to the likes of Izetta and Sophie, who very much see involving themselves as an obligation to either defend fellow Allied nations and an ultimate quest of {{Revenge}}, respectively.
* Thanks to having been attacked by elements of the US Army in 1899 and 1911, father-son duo and former outlaws John and Jack Marston have made it a point to avoid making contact with both the US Doughboys and the United States Marine Corps. Fortunately for them, these troops currently have no interest in hunting them down to avenge their fallen comrades, at least at the moment, with both factions currently fully committed to their war against the German Empire. Though, with the huge possibility of the likes of Edgar Ross or Andrew Milton making it into the Pantheon much like them, this potential threat isn't off the books for either of them.
* Unknown to both sides, their conflict is being manipulated by unseen forces (at least to them), one in the name of WarForFunAndProfit, while the other is subtly influencing the actions of both Entente and German officers. These are Sundowner and Ares, respectively.
** In stark contrast to Manon Batiste and General Vahlen, who can only provide limited aid to either side, Sundowner attempts to provide more direct aid, namely {{Cyborg}} technology and 21st-century weaponry, to both sides, so that the industrialized slaughter between both sides can escalate, and they'd make him a regular client. Fortunately, his attempts have thus far been thwarted by Wonder Woman with the help of Raiden, who destroy his weapon shipments before they can even arrive at the Temple, or in this case, Trenchlines of either side.
** Ares, on the other hand, via his Sir Patrick Morgan disguise, has subtly been telling both Entente and German officers to once again form a truce and sign an armistice. However, much like in the past, Ares is only doing this so that both sides can become sympathetic to both the World War II-era Allied and Axis Forces, respectively, and would in turn cause the Second World War and First World War in the Pantheon to escalate into a much larger and more destructive conflict in the belief that HumansAreBastards. However, thanks to Wonder Woman's involvement on the Entente side, Ares has been forced to lay low for the time being, holding himself back until he can get into an advantage to fight and hopefully defeat his Amazon ArchEnemy this time around.

* Mitth'raw'nuruodo, better known by his core name Thrawn, is a Chiss from the Unknown Regions, [[TheExile exiled by his people to known space for as of yet unrevealed reasons]], and was discovered by the Galactic Empire soon after, and pledged his allegiance to the Emperor on the grounds of providing information on an unknown threat in the Unknown Regions. This was in truth a fabrication in order to implant Thrawn in the known galaxy's ruling government and determine if they would be a useful ally. Amid the mass opposition of the Empire to non-human staff, Thrawn rapidly rose through the ranks, eventually getting a promotion to Grand Admiral for his exemplary performance at the Battle of Batonn as well as the position of commander of the Imperial Seventh Fleet on the recommendation of Arihnda Pryce, Governor of Lothal.
* Soon after, he was drafted by Pryce to assist in combatting the rebel cells of Lothal, Phoenix Squadron. Winning countless victories against them, this streak ended in a pivotal Rebellion attack on Lothal to destroy the TIE Defender production facility there and liberate the planet. Jedi Ezra Bridger summoned purrgils (space whales which traverse hyperspace) which destroyed the blockade above the planet and dragged Thrawn's fleet of Star Destroyers into hyperspace, [[HeroicSacrifice with them in it]]. That was the last of Grand Admiral Thrawn...or so the galaxy thought.
** During a battle between the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfGood and Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil to gain control of a supply line leading to an important GUAE stronghold, the combined forces of Rebellion and Resistance fleet seemed to be winning against the devastated fleet (the nearby fleet of Rewloolas led by Char Aznable proved unavailable). Suddenly, the ''Chimaera'' materialized from hyperspace purrgil-free, flanked by several Resurgent-classes, blindsiding the GUAG fleet. After a heavy round of bombardment, the frontmost fleet surrendered in their surprise at Thrawn's re-emergence and it was a resounding victory for the Pantheon/GUAEConquestForce.
** It was revealed that Thrawn's surprise ascension was at the Emperor's behest, requiring someone loyal to him to lead the GUAE's space fleet, especially after his rather public falling out with Lord Vader. Most people are scratching their heads at this, given that Palpatine was getting fed up with Thrawn's dual loyalties to the Empire and the Ascendancy. Despite having serious misgivings, considering 'a servant with divided loyalties is no servant at all', Palpatine had Thrawn installed as the commander of the Conquest Force's space fleet with Melkor's blessing.
** [[spoiler:[[Series/{{Ahsoka}} Revelations on where the purrgils took Thrawn - Peridea, a distant planet in a neighbouring galaxy]] - have sparked new interest in how Thrawn ascended. It is now known, however, that Thrawn is better at handling supernatural and mystical Pantheon foes from his dealings with Nightsisters during said exile]].
* Some people attribute Thrawn's analytical skills to his Chiss ethnicity, but this cannot be farther from the truth. Thrawn's own people were befuddled by his ability to collect detailed tactical knowledge from insignificant or obscure details. Thrawn seeks to perfect [[Literature/TheArtOfWar the art of war]]'''[[labelnote:*]]which he has indeed read[[/labelnote]]'''. He believes that in order to defeat a worthy opponent, one must know the opponent in every aspect, including their history, philosophy and culture. He was able to discern the identity of a disguised Hera Syndulla simply from studying the Kalikori she was holding and the Syndulla family portrait. He's got a bit of the Information Age in him. He treats Sherlock Holmes with some reverence as he was one of the main contributors to Thrawn's creation.
* Whatever you do, ''do not'' threaten to destroy beautiful artwork in front of him. It's one of the few ways you can [[BerserkButton openly piss him off]], something that NOBODY wants to see. He regularly visits the House of Pantheon/{{Craft}}'s Merveilleux Morpho Atelier and the House of Pantheon/TheatreAndSpectacle [[BunnyEarsLawyer and makes monetary contributions whenever he can]]. Music itself is also art, but he finds little use for it in analyzing his opponents, as musicians tend to add their own interpretations in their parts. When a piece does pique his interest, he visits the House of Pantheon/{{Musicality}}. He reportedly finds his own [[{{Leitmotif}} organ-based theme distasteful]].
* Thrawn's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAuv631i_Mk&t=733s military pedigree and strategic doctrine]] differs in many ways from the rest of the Imperial military such as:
** Creating the right tools for the job. Thrawn disapproved of the shoddy craftsmanship of the tools used by the Empire to maintain order, especially the basic TIE fighter. It was good against civilian craft and pacifying disobedient worlds, but inadequate for engaging nimble rebel starfighters. To this end, he had a new fighter specially commissioned for this purpose: the [=TIE/D Defender=]. This ship had a hyperdrive and shields, and scored strings of victories against the Rebellion as part of an elite rebel hunting strike force in the Seventh Fleet. [[spoiler:In ''Legends'', Thrawn also designed the Imperial Missile Boat, which used ''warheads'' as standard armament. Thrawn has only ever fished it out once to take down an enemy]].
** Playing the LongGame. Thrawn has a tendency to apply the XanatosGambit and allow for a defeat in order to secure a later victory. While many military leaders can excel at this, Thrawn stands out from others displaying these tropes as taking an extreme risk in an Empire where failure, especially ''intentional'' failure is looked down on. Nevertheless, Thrawn proved naysayers wrong again and again like when he allowed rebel spy Fulcrum (Agent Kallus) to continue his subterfuge undisturbed to discover Phoenix Squadron's base on Atollon and utterly decimate the Squadron to dissolution. [[spoiler:This did lead to his demise in ''Legends'' continuity, when his habit of monitoring the Noghri and not taking action against them led to his assassination by his disillusioned bodyguard of the same species when he discovered that Thrawn was keeping his people in poor health so they would forever be indebted to the Empire. But that isn't even canon anymore]].
** The BoringButPractical approach. Much of the Empire's military strategy was derived from Imperial Communiqué #001044.92v, the Tarkin Doctrine, which emphasised the philosophy of ruling through fear of force, and applying swift and grand judgement on those who resisted the Empire. This is best exemplified in the Emperor's masterstroke, the Death Star. Thrawn preferred using mundane but more utilitarian strategy against his opponents, and was not a fan of the Death Star simply because he considered it a waste of time and resources and consolidated far too much of the Empire's resources, making it a prime target of the Rebellion. Needless to say, he was proven right since the rebels [[Film/RogueOne stole the plans for the battle station]] and [[Film/ANewHope promptly exploited that one exhaust port to destroy it]]. [[Film/ReturnOfTheJedi And then the Emperor just built another one]]. [[Film/TheForceAwakens Starkiller Base]] is at least more acceptable to Thrawn given that it was built into a planet rather than being built from scratch, and was treated as more of a side project rather than the bedrock of the First Order's plans. [[spoiler:Until he learnt that it was created by strip-mining the Jedi's sacred planet of Ilum]].
** '''NOT''' [[YouHaveFailedMe having his subordinates killed if they failed]]. He was a ReasonableAuthorityFigure who understood that sometimes, failure was inevitable. He never gave his subordinates any sort of punishment especially if it wasn't their fault, compared to Darth Vader who was used to [[PsychicStrangle force-choking Imperial officers]] for even [[DisproportionateRetribution the most minor of transgressions]]. Most mooks in the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil who work for [[BadBoss bad bosses]] and know better often clamour for a spot on his ship just to escape the mental abuse.
** It should be noted that Thrawn is not omniscient. If something [[GodzillaThreshold totally unexpected comes up]], he ''can'' improvise, but do not expect him to pull off a miracle victory, like when the purrgils were summoned by Ezra.
* Over time, Thrawn began having nagging thoughts in the back of his mind. He was disturbed by the random visions he had in his head of [[Literature/TheThrawnTrilogy an alternate life with subtle differences from the one he led currently]]. This went on for a few weeks until the strain he could no longer bear without visible side-effects, and he checked into the House of Pantheon/HealthAndDiseases. [[spoiler:It was revealed to him that the visions he was experiencing were indeed the life he had once led, as a Grand Admiral leading the remnants of a fallen Empire to near victory against the New Republic. Yet this was retconned with the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney, and their decision to wipe the slate clean in preparation for the sequel trilogy]]. He quickly healed after that. Thrawn bears no ill will towards George Lucas for the [[RetCon retcon]], simply for the reason that he was no longer in charge of the property by that time and [[LoopholeAbuse isn't Thrawn's creator]]: Creator/TimothyZahn is.
** [[spoiler:In fact, Thrawn had already been in the Pantheon before, as his ''Legends'' counterpart, ascending long before his Emperor ever did[[labelnote:*]]and is still unaware of[[/labelnote]] as the top choice for holder of his trope. However, the rebooting of Star Wars in 2014 caused him to be booted out and his name and accomplishments stricken from Pantheon records. His documentation was restored upon his return, sans details of his previous ascension to prevent possible tensions between Palpatine and Thrawn as a result]].
** As for his heralds, Rukh continues to be his personal bodyguard, though his loyalty in is question given he assassinated Thrawn in ''Legends''. This doesn't seem to be likely given that the canon Thrawn is in some ways ever so slightly [[AdaptationalHeroism more benevolent]] than his previous self. Eli Vanto, his [[VillainousFriendship closest friend]], still works under Ar'alani aboard the ''Steadfast'' and hence only makes fleeting appearances in the Pantheon as a Chiss envoy to the Empire. Gilad Pellaeon is a different story. While he indeed exists in canon, he only ever has a voice-only appearance and has not yet made any public appearances in the Pantheon. Intercepted communiqués do confirm however that Pellaeon is still captain of the ISD ''Harbinger'', serves in the Pantheon's Imperial fleet and has been promoted from captain to commander as a senior aide to Thrawn. Even more rumours state that he is now a Fleet Admiral within the Imperial Navy. As for Faro, records state that she still serves as a senior aide to him, but has been transferred to a position away from the ISD ''Chimaera''. Whether this means [[spoiler:[[Literature/ThrawnTreason her promotion to Admiral]] and commander of the Eleventh Fleet[[labelnote:*]]if she departed the ''Chimaera'' before the purrgil attack[[/labelnote]] or another position within the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil[[labelnote:*]]if she was on the ''Chimaera'' during the purrgil attack[[/labelnote]]]] is unknown.
** On the topic of the sequel trilogy, he is pleased that [[TheRemnant Imperial remnants]] used his knowledge of the Unknown Regions to establish the First Order. Their Special Forces TIE Fighter and TIE Silencer clearly took notes from his TIE Defender, as did their philosophy of seeing their soldiers as valuable assets as opposed to cannon fodder like their predecessors. First Order-generation officers in the GUAE see Thrawn as a saviour for giving them a place to develop and strengthen away from the prying eyes of the New Republic and the Resistance. Even if they are disdainful of the Admiral, they don't show it because he's competent.
* Given his objective and analytical standpoint, he has no interest in personal glory, only results, unlike most other Imperial officers who are mostly interested in [[ProfessionalButtKisser gaining brownie points]] with the Emperor and achieving petty goals. The establishment in the GUAE is not happy at Thrawn's utter effectiveness since it hinders their chance at favour from Melkor and seek to dethrone Thrawn from his position as commander of the GUAE fleet. Likewise, Thrawn has no tolerance for fools, bullies and the arrogant, and wastes no opportunity to belittle or humiliate them should their hubris prove too detrimental to the success of the GUAE. Nevertheless, [[ConflictingLoyalty his loyalty is constantly in question]]. While he claimed that the Emperor would command his allegiance over the Chiss Ascendancy, [[Literature/ThrawnTreason recent events]] have charges of treason up in the air for him. He has managed to brave these odds and gain loyalty from many like-minded individuals in the GUAE, though just as many oppose him.
* If Thrawn does have an AchillesHeel, it's his inexperience with politics. Political manipulation is common in TheEmpire, with many high-ranking officers having to pull strings to get where they were, especially those already from the aristocracy. As a result, he fails to grasp the finesse of how to curry favour from his superiors and his colleagues' support, with his sincerity and InnocentlyInsensitive method of talking making him seem rude or condescending to his superiors or those who do not know him personally. [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation Or he doesn't care]]. Havelock Vetinari, known for never having been seen in the same room as Thrawn before, suggested he actually do something about it before it irreparably damaged his career. Thrawn then sought an alliance with Tywin Lannister, the only politician Vetinari knew of that was of Thrawn's line of thinking (the rest of the Pantheon/{{Politicians}} sub-house is either Good, AmbiguouslyEvil, MadeOfEvil or LawfulStupid). Tywin, in an [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness uncharacteristically courteous move]] assented to it, seeing Thrawn as an officer he could mould into the perfect weapon to use against his enemies. But then Thrawn dropped this [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech bombshell]]:
--> '''Thrawn''': "Lord Tywin, do not think I am an UnwittingPawn to be used as your mighty blade of judgement. I am perfectly willing to help you against your enemies, but you are not as capable as you think you might be. A good military leader must be AFatherToHisMen, and you are hardly one to your own pride of lions. You have thought me much about how to handle the hierarchy and I thank you for that. But I accept my soldiers' imperfections and work to assist them. Your vicious upbringing of your children has moulded them into the dysfunctional people they are today. [[Pantheon/RoyalActivities Jaime]]? A morally apathetic yet not dishonourable man. [[Pantheon/SelfHatred Cersei]]? A CompleteMonster who acts like a petulant child waiting for a sweet, throwing a tantrum when she is refused. [[Pantheon/LoyaltyAndServitude Tyrion]]? You denied him an opportunity to prove himself, making him [[TheAlcoholic a slave to whoring]] and [[NeverMyFault blaming him for it]]. Why, only Daenerys was able to bring out his true potential. And your first act upon entering the Pantheon is to disown the three of them for being disloyal to you and failing to uphold the legacy of House Lannister. That, Lord Tywin, is why I despise in-fighting and politics in my Empire, because ''this'' happens."
* He has been asked repeatedly why he even bothered accepting the Emperor's offer to join the GUAE since his story is now in the open, and thus would implicate him as not really being that evil. Thrawn has replied that, as much as he would not like to admit, his tactical prowess may eclipse even that of the likes of '''Melkor''' himself. However, that alone is the only thing keeping him from getting court-martialled, so he has to avoid accumulating a string of failures, which is getting more and more difficult. He also finds the GUAE as a better alternative than allying with more extremist villains such as the [[Pantheon/{{Continuities}} Anti-Monitor]] and [[Pantheon/HatredAndRancor Zamasu]] who seek to destroy rather than rule, and the GUAG would hate him a bit too much for his liking. So he stays with the GUAE for now. The Flood worries him as a type of zombie able to convert anything of sufficient biomass, and potentially assimilate the rest of the Pantheon. He reserves most of his hate for the GUAD since they desire the complete annihilation of everything.
* Much has transpired since his appointment to the command post of the Pantheon/GUAEConquestForce's space fleet. Thrawn has to contend with a diverse force of villains, many who don't like him. He has managed to push through some initiatives in the midst of the chaos, such as transferring his flag to a new Resurgent-class Star Destroyer and funding several projects by like-minded individuals (the near bottomless pockets of colleagues like [[Pantheon/{{Commerce}} Mr. Burns]] may have something to do with it). Darth Vader has given him command of the 501st Legion forces serving the GUAE, while he helms those who serve in the House of Pantheon/{{Defense}}. Thrawn may know of Vader's true allegiance ([[Literature/ThrawnAlliances and identity]]) but chooses not to say anything. Vader, having mellowed down since his HeelFaceTurn, no longer has ambitions to kill Thrawn for his knowledge. The fact that he has shared command of the 501st Legion with him is saying something.
* Then there's the trouble of the former Separatists who the Emperor essentially forced into serving him. He doesn't seem to pay them much attention unless the situation calls for it, but he and Dooku do have a tenuous alliance given their similar approaches to war, and as Count of Serenno, can relate to Thrawn's appreciation for art.
* Thrawn also has to contend with harbouring many other commanders in the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil on his ship. Some he likes, some he tolerates but most he grits his teeth at attempting to maintain his composure.
** The Frieza Force, rated the second most powerful force in the Conquest Force, has proven quite the bother to him and his ship, given their fighting style leads to StuffBlowingUp. In fact, one of the reasons he requested an upgrade to a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer was for space to accommodate more facilities for fellow colleagues. Frieza likes using the expanded fighting chamber to train himself, but thinks Thrawn unnecessarily pragmatic for his own good, overthinking and overplanning.
*** The Ginyu Force was driven off the ''Chimaera'' by Thrawn's officers. You can [[EvilIsHammy guess why]].
** M. Bison serves as the BloodKnight to Thrawn's StraightMan. His psychic power is near unrivalled in the space fleet, and Thrawn relies on him as a quick final solution to decimating capital ships that prove immune to his Star Destroyer's heavy turbolasers. That said, M. Bison is as much of a loose cannon as he is a useful ally, and Thrawn keeps him at arm's length and they work separately for the most part.
** Then there's members of the Pantheon/GUAEMechaCohort, who he finds to be far more balanced than the less realist-minded villains of the Army. Char Aznable in particular. The GUAE ship fleet has historically never been a fan of the Pantheon/GUAEMechaCohort, making them [[InterserviceRivalry natural rivals]]. Thrawn is attempting to bridge this gap by cooperating with the Cohort whenever possible. Char is often contacted by Thrawn should he need a second opinion on whatever plan he's working on, and the Red Comet's judgement is usually sound. He isn't impressed at some other members and benefactors of the Cohort though.
*** If anything, he's only incensed that factional loyalties in the Cohort are a worse issue than in the Conquest Army. Gihren Zabi's selfishness and refusal to submit to Char's authority sparked a civil war between the Cohort's Zeon pilots. Personally, Thrawn is on Char's side, since Gihren is ANaziByAnyOtherName that only cares about power while Char is a WellIntentionedExtremist. He has a friendship with Anavel Gato, offering him a place on the ''Chimaera'' should the civil war become too hot for him. A Gundam unit with nuclear weaponry would prove useful to the Empire's war effort.
*** Of all the Zeon commanders he knows, one of Char's colonels, M'Quve, is very similar to Thrawn in his deep interest in art. While a conceited and self-absorbed man, he enjoys spending time with Thrawn and is extremely loyal to him (unless Kycilia Zabi gets into the equation) for his skill. Thrawn has been tireless in attempting to teach him the value of humility and that the many artifacts he studies on a daily basis can tell him a lot about his enemies of the Earth Federation.
* He commands a certain respect for his opposite number, James T. Kirk, in the GUAG space fleet, despite both of them being completely opposite in personality and tactical philosophy. Some have speculated that Thrawn suggested for Honor Harrington to take a vacation and sabotaged her temple to prevent her from re-entering the Pantheon. Relations between the two are extremely sour because of a mutual rivalry but both have acknowledged that this rumour is not true. Thrawn himself has stated that he would never commit such a petty deed towards a nemesis.
* Briefly interfered in a war game between Treize Khushrenada and Abelt Dessler. He had been studying the two, and believed that he had devised a plan to defeat the both of them. However, each combatant expected him, and tried to point him at the other through varying means. [[NoSell Thrawn immediately saw through this]]. Despite this, he was pleased that he was able to be surprised again.
--> '''Thrawn:''' "They are an interesting pair. I will be the first to admit that I underestimated them."
* One asks of his reaction to the Death Star's destruction. The look on his face said it all: [[IWarnedYou I told you so]]. Has taken the initiative to inform Director Krennic of ways to improve the Death Star's administration, but the Director brushed him off, seeing him as one of Tarkin's lapdogs who had the audacity [[Literature/ThrawnTreason to siphon off funds for Project Stardust for his stupid TIE Defender programme when in reality it was the other way round]]. Krennic also correctly blames Thrawn for the disappearance of his Assistant Director Brierly Ronan to the Chiss Ascendancy. Anyway, Krennic no longer runs the Death Star, despite his reluctance to acknowledge any sort of loss to Tarkin. Thrawn doesn't have any dislike for Krennic, for he reserves most of that disdain for the battle station itself, despite it now being a Dominion. Krennic sneers that with the First Order's new and advanced starfighters, Thrawn's Defenders are obsolete. [[DidntThinkThisThrough He neglected to mention that said starfighters are spiritually based on the TIE Defender]].
** As for Governor Tarkin, he is unimpressed at Thrawn for being unable to anticipate the purrgil attack on his ships. If Thrawn is disappointed at Tarkin for putting too much stock into the Death Star, he doesn't show it.
* As for his relationship with the Rebel Alliance, his knowledge of current galactic events has him puzzled as to why they continue fighting despite the Empire now being effectively immortal in the Pantheon. Prominent Rebellion members who joined up after Thrawn's disappearance think lowly of him as the man who nearly brought their cause to extinction if not for Ezra's intervention. Leia, as leader of the current Resistance, has made concessions to Thrawn in hopes of persuading him to [[HeelFaceTurn switch sides]] for the sake of the Chiss Ascendancy. Most Jedi think Thrawn a misguided believer, thinking the Force (or as the Chiss call it, Sight) as a weapon instead of a cosmic source of energy connecting everything in the universe and a force of nature. If need be, Thrawn can disable Force-users in battle with ysalamirs, lizard-like creatures that can neutralise Force attacks.
* Thrawn is a polite man to his counterparts in the GUAG, but rarely has any relationship with them besides those of the Rebellion for the most part. He is a WorthyOpponent to all of them, and that's all they think.
* Not a fan of the House of Pantheon/{{Prophecy}} considering his downfall was correctly predicted by the Bendu of 'many arms surrounding him in a cold embrace'. Hopes the Bendu doesn't ascend.
* There are hints that he is disdainful of the House of Pantheon/MilitaryAndWarfare - as one who is generally reserved and ''very'' good at the strategic side of war, he stands out among the screaming hordes of fighters. Despite this, he has joined their ranks if ever so reluctantly.
** His membership has led to quite the rivalry with now fallen member Ursarkar E. Creed. A general who managed to defend Cadia from the literal '''Forces Of Chaos''' has earned some praise from Thrawn as well as his intuitive grasp of strategy even from childhood. Thrawn has a [[ItsPersonal personal beef]] after he unwittingly wiped out the 501st Legion (the first of three times) with 100 Baneblades from Kaurava. They used to have battles in the House battlegrounds before Creed was thrown out of the Pantheon for misconduct. Luckily, Thrawn caught hold of him just as he was getting shuffled out the door, and named Creed his high priest, allowing their dynamic to continue as normal.
* Kei Shirogane treats Thrawn as an ArchEnemy of sorts, and Thrawn similarly has fun with testing his mental limits. For some reason, Shiroe anticipated Thrawn's return in the Pantheon and hatching plans with [[Pantheon/{{Mentalities}} Haruka Kotoura]] to ensure it didn't happen. Suffice to say, it failed to stop him but didn't fail to impress him.
* Is a huge fan of the military career of a certain Khan Noonien Singh, impressed with his brutal yet ingenious style of warfare despite (especially in his classic era) being several decades out of date. He laments that had his megalomania and blinding viciousness not been in his personality, his life would not have been wasted. Thrawn invited Khan to his temple for a chat and to get him up to speed.
* Has struck up an OddFriendship with Crowley, whom he seems to have a genuinely good time with and enjoys his presence, mainly due to the two of them sharing similar experiences and standards regarding what they do, as well as their affability towards one another, as well as towards their enemies.
* [[spoiler:With the Emperor's final defeat on Exegol, Thrawn has begun a massive build-up of Imperial resources in the Pantheon to return to the greater galaxy and re-conquer it. This military build-up includes reviving several abandoned Imperial operations from ''Franchise/StarWarsLegends'' such as the [=TIE/ph=] Phantom. To this end, the Super Star Destroyer ''Terror'' (along with its crew, Admiral Sarn and project coordinator Grand Admiral Martio Batch) has been summoned to the Pantheon to continue what was disrupted by the rebels]]. Additionally, for [=PR=] reasons he has consented to making a vacation home at the [[Pantheon/EstablishmentsAndDistricts Walt Disney World Resort]], specifically at the ''Ride/StarWarsGalaxysEdge'' ride. Don't expect to see him there, because he isn't too concerned or interested in his status as a fan favourite. That said, if he is there (usually to study the ride for inspiration), he isn't [[NotSoAboveItAll averse to signing autographs]] when visitors ask him.
* Also present in the Hall of Pantheon/{{Planning}}.

* A high-ranking member of a French Resistance cell originally based in and near Paris, Manon Batiste was eventually recruited into the UsefulNotes/{{OSS}} due to her expertise in infiltration, guerilla tactics, and connections to other French Resistance cells. In stark contrast to OSS agent Lt. Jimmy Patterson and US Army Ranger Lt. Mike Powell, who operated both on the frontline as well as deep behind enemy lines depending on their current missions, Manon Batiste exclusively carried out her missions while TrappedBehindEnemyLines. These missions were, unsurprisingly, some of the most dangerous of their, as Manon herself operated mostly alone, was constantly outnumbered and outgunned, and risked being either killed in action or being captured, tortured, and executed by the Gestapo.
** In stark contrast to her colleagues from the OSS, who regularly engage in frontline combat as well as infiltration and sabotage missions, Manon exclusively takes part in infiltration and sabotage missions, due to being a Resistance fighter and leader first and foremost, rather than being a trained soldier or operative. That said, she's still capable of taking out conventional military units singlehandedly using a mix of guerilla tactics and her own skills, as demonstrated during her numerous encounters with German tanks, half-tracks, and mechanized infantry during her missions in Europe and North Africa.
* Manon Batiste was born on May 1, 1912, as the second of three children of a French World War I veteran, in Dubuisson, France. She and her two siblings would spend most of their lives growing up and living in Paris. When the Germans invaded France in 1940, Jacques, her older brother, decided to resist the German Occupation Forces and [[LesCollaborateurs their Vichy Collaborators]]. For two years, Jacques served as TheFace of his Resistance cell, with Manon remaining lowkey and working in complete secrecy. This would change on Manon's 30th birthday, May 1st 1942. During a mission to secure German ammunition and supplies from the Gestapo, Jacques was killed when the truck he was attempting to steal was blown up by members of the SS Demolition Squad. Manon, while devastated by her brother's untimely demise, chose to continue fighting, and fled the city of light via its massive catacombs, and killing any Gestapo thugs and Vichy French along the way. While managing to successfully escape Paris, this wouldn't be the end of her trouble just yet. With help from French Resistance agent Fabrice Delacroix, Manon was able to save the members of her Resistance cell from a German tank and mechanized infantry attack on their village HQ, successfully destroying or concealing their activities in the process.
* Some time following the botched raid in Paris and the aforementioned German attack, Manon had managed to successfully make contact with Col. Stanley Hargrove of the UsefulNotes/{{OSS}}. Whilst Hargrove and the other OSS knew about the existence of Jacques and his Resistance cell, and that he was working with someone close to him, none of them expected that very someone to be his sister, let alone a woman. But after hearing about what she did in Paris and during the German tank attack, Hargrove and his men knew she was the real deal, and kindly extended an invitation for her to work with them as an agent. Unsurprisingly given the situation in France, Manon accepted the offer, using her already impressive skills in infiltration, espionage, and sabotage.
** Under the direct supervision of Captain Ted Aubrick, Manon would carry out some of the OSS's most dangerous missions throughout Nazi-occupied Europe and the Mediterranean. These locations would include Morocco, North Africa during Operation ''Torch'', at Crete, at Wewelsburg in Germany, at Monte Cassino in Italy, and, of course, in Occupied France. During her mission in Morocco, she was assisted by Lt. James Steven Patterson, then a USAAF transport pilot, in escaping from a German airbase. Col. Stanley Hargrove had even mentioned to Manon that Patterson wasn't given the full details of the mission, and was explicitly told not to even look at her. Hargrove himself would take an interest the USAAF officer due to him having the potential to be an OSS recruit, as well as having the very skills that the members of the organization needed badly.
** Following the D-Day landings in June 1944, Manon would play a significant role in assisting the Allied Forces, namely by directly and indirectly aiding members of the OSS in their missions in German-occupied sections of France. Lt. Jimmy Patterson, following his two heroic actions on D-Day, was offered a position into the OSS by Col. Hargrove, which he readily accepted in exchange for immediately taking his first mission for them: rescuing a downed [=G3=] officer carrying vital Allied intelligence from the Gestapo. His primary contact and MissionControl? None other than Manon Batiste, who promptly directed him to the Maquis hideouts and weapon caches in the area he was operating in, which just so happened to be Manon's own hometown of Dubuisson. She would continue serving as Patterson's main contact in the field until the end of the war, save for a brief time between the Liberation of Paris and Operation ''Market-Garden''.
** Around the same time that Patterson carried out his first mission as part of the OSS, Lt. Mike Powell of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, taking missions for the organization, rescued the aforementioned pilot, Lt. Joe Baylor, from Gestapo captivity, and linked up with Manon's resistance cell. The Maquis leader then provided Powell with a High-Standard HDM silenced pistol, as well as the details for both his mission to divert German forces away from the area they were in, and the German-occupied manor he was to raid. Manon herself would also help the Lieutenant escape from the manor, by providing him with a quick getaway vehicle and serving as his GetawayDriver.
** Manon's finest hour, however, would be during the Liberation of Paris in late August 1944. Assisting another French Resistance group in pulling off an uprising against the German occupation forces based in the City of Light, she helped liberate the city's police station by killing the Vichy French Milice who defended it, took out platoons of fanatical Waffen-SS troops and their armored support, and even took out a traitor in the French Resistance. Her most notable action, however, was taking out two entire trains worth of Waffen-SS Demolition Squad soldiers and the explosives that they had intended to use to raze Paris, a fitting revenge against the very same men responsible for her brother's death.
* Following the Liberation of Paris, Manon would continue to help the OSS, as well as her own country's intelligence agency, in a more lowkey role, mainly serving as MissionControl for Patterson as well as a number of other OSS agents in the field, as well as continuing to spy on the Germans via deep cover operation. At one point, during the Battle of the Bugle, she was briefly captured and interrogated by German forces under Freder Engel, and was fortunately rescued by OSS agent Lt. William Holt.
** It was rumored that, following the end of the War in Europe, Lt. Jimmy Patterson had proposed to Manon. Whether she accepted his offer or reciprocated his feelings is unknown, although it is confirmed that Patterson eventually had children, and later, a grandson, the latter of whom fought in the US Army Rangers during UsefulNotes/TheWarOnTerror.
* For her actions DuringTheWar, Manon would receive a number of medals, all of them reserved for the French military. These would be: la Médaille de la campagne d'Italie, la Croix de guerre, a Médaille de la France libérée, la Croix de la Libération, and, most notably, Légion d'honneur, France's highest military decoration. In addition to these, Manon also kept a number of mementos from a few of her other operations, which included a piece of destroyed V1 Flying Bomb, a Foreign Legion Badge, a photograph of the defaced ruins in Crete, an SS ring, and, most important to her, the locket of her late brother Jacques.
* While there were already large numbers of Allied soldiers in the Pantheon, mainly from the United States and Soviet Union, with a handful of British soldiers on the side, thus far there have been none from France. This would soon change with the ascension of Manon Batiste, whose reputation has become known amongst the Allies in the Pantheon thanks to the efforts of Lt. Jimmy Patterson and Lt. Mike Powell. Manon herself would be ascended thanks to these two OSS agents, who by now have been fighting the Nazis and their various allies across the Pantheon. With the Axis forces increasing their numbers by the day, and the OSS and SOE becoming increasingly overstretched, the demand for agents capable of operating deep behind enemy lines and performing espionage reached an all-time high. With help from Steven Spielberg, who was responsible for the creation of both Patterson's and Powell's stories, French Resistance fighter, RebelLeader, and part-time OSS Agent Manon Batiste was ascended into the Pantheon as the '''Goddess Of Being TrappedBehindEnemyLines'''.
* Upon being reunited with both Lt. Jimmy Patterson and Lt. Mike Powell, her old colleagues from the OSS, the French Resistance leader was briefed about the circumstances behind her ascension and deployment into the Pantheon, what exactly the Pantheon was, the strategic situation between the Allied and Axis Forces, and what exactly lay before her in the Pantheon itself. Having seen her fair share of things DuringTheWar, Manon wasn't fazed in the slightest, at least at first. Pretty soon, she would be working alongside a number of other deities fighting against the Axis Forces, from the usual Allied soldiers and agents, to superpowered, enhanced, and supernatural deities defying common belief.
* With that out of the way, the French Resistance fighter was then briefed by Nicholas J. Fury for her first mission. She, Patterson, and Powell would be deployed to North Africa in order to hamper the Axis Occupation of North Africa. For this, Manon would rendezvous with two individuals, an American national named Rick Blaine, who has since become an OSS contact and informant for the Allies, and Lt. Karl Fairburne, a veteran of the North African Campaign, SOE Agent, and sniper who has worked with and for the OSS numerous times. Despite her unfamiliarity with the Pantheon, Manon's first mission, which involved stealing vital German intelligence relating to General Franz Vahlen's resurrected Project "Seuche" and the Nemesis Squadron's bases of operation in the region, was ultimately a resounding success, and then some. Managing to successfully infiltrate the Pont Du Fahs Airfield, one of Vahlen's major supply bases which was also being used by Nemesis to house their fighters and bombers, Manon, with Fairburne's sniper support and Blaine's intelligence gathered beforehand, was able to sabotage the German fighters and bombers parked in and around the field, destroy a German radio tower in the area, steal maps which revealed the locations of more Axis bases belonging to Vahlen, Nemesis, and the Schutzvollstrecker, and kill a few German officers carrying more vital intelligence.
* Having been deployed Italy prior, Manon was immediately offered another chance to redeploy in that theater of operations by Lt. Karl Fairburne, who himself fought in the country from mid-1943 to early 1944. In addition to helping organize guerilla attacks against General Heinz Böhm's forces stationed throughout the country, Manon, alongside Fairburne and US paratrooper Cpl. Boyd Travers, have gone after the General's missile production facilities and airbases, destroying the missiles themselves, their components, the production and storage facilities, major transport hubs, and any and all aircraft capable of carrying them.
** Aside from that, Manon has also been informed by Lt. Fairburne about Bohm's allies within the Italian Fascist government, the Four Libertines. These four Italian Fascists are infamous for their brutal butchering of local civilians in the final years of the war, and have been doing the same treatment to both captured Resistance fighters and Allied prisoners-of-war caught within General Bohm's area of jurisdiction. Finding them to be nasty pieces of work even by Nazi and Fascist standards, Manon agrees to help the SOE agent arrange a mission to assassinate them.
* With Omaha Beach being a major fighting ground between American and German Forces, and being located within a part of France, Manon would once again play a major role in helping American Rangers and Paratroopers secure the inland areas surrounding said beach. Once again working alongside Lt. Mike Powell, Lt. Jimmy Patterson, and Lt. Karl Fairburne, Manon would help sabotage German railroads, vehicles, and weapons shipments while also killing any German officers and soldiers when the opportunity presented itself. These guerilla activities caused the German Forces in the area to divert entire units away from the beach, and focus on guarding important locations further inland, namely railway stations, headquarters, and major urban areas along highways and crossroads.
** Additionally, with both Nemesis and Operation ''Kraken'' having multiple bases, testing facilities, and factories within France, including Normandy, Manon has also been leading and directing both commando raids and air strikes on these facilities, with the forces in question usually hailing from the US Army Rangers and the Battlehawks, both of whom have seen their fair share of actions in Normandy, not to mention attacks against German secret weapons facilities. In the midst of these missions, the French Resistance leader has also made significant efforts to rescue any Allied pilot shot down over German-occupied territory, at great risk to her own life and that of her resistance hideouts. One of these pilots whom she rescued was James Chase of the aforementioned Battlehawks, who was unlucky enough to get shot out of the sky by Nemesis Squadron leader Oberst Krieger.
* By far Manon Batiste's biggest contribution in the Pantheon, however, would be helping take down the various [[StupidJetpackHitler Nazi wonderweapons operations]] being deployed by the Nazis in the Pantheon, both as a MissionControl director and in person. Having successfully analyzed the intelligence she stole from North Africa, Manon, with help from SSR operatives Agent Peggy Carter, Capt. Steve Rogers, and Sgt. James Buchanan Barnes, was able to discover that Vahlen and Nemesis were being assisted by members HYDRA, one of Nazi Germany's many SS divisions, specifically their Deep Science Division. With this confirmation, Manon would now be joined by not only her OSS colleagues, but would also be accompanied by the aforementioned trio of SSR members as well as OSA Operative Captain William J. Blazkowicz, a renowned NaziHunter and expert in irregular warfare. Much like she did before in her own universe, she provides them safehouse locations, bases of operation, and hidden weapon caches to both old and new allies alike, gives them the objectives that need to be taken out, dealt with, or retrieved, and occasionally accompanies them on their missions, sometimes even providing her new allies a mode of transport, infiltration into a highly guarded facility or area, and, methods of escape.
* Due to having past experience in taking down Nazi archaeological operations, the French Resistance fighter has also gone after the likes of Dr. Rene Belloq, a French archaeologist on the Nazis' payroll. It's because of this shared resentment for Nazis and their collaborators that Manon becomes acquaintances with Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr., an American archaeologist and part-time agent of the OSS. Jones himself thanks the French Resistance leader for getting him out of more than one sticky situation with the Nazis, and in turn providing her with more intel regarding Belloq, particularly his history with Jones and what he did in the their universe.
* In addition to her duties in the OSS and French Resistance, Manon Batiste has also been tasked with helping train and rearm the military of the recently-ascended [[Pantheon/FictionalSettings Principality of Eylstadt]], which coincidentally had also been recently liberated by Allied Forces following a months-long battle of attrition with Nazi Forces. Specifically, she's been serving as a military advisor, teaching their officers and soldiers on how to collect intelligence, conduct espionage, and wage irregular warfare. It was also because of Manon's excellent intelligence gathering abilities that led to Archduchess Ortfine Fredericka von Eylstadt being freed from Nazi captivity, as well as her being informed ahead of a planned AssassinationAttempt by members of the Schutzvollstrecker. It's thanks to these aforementioned actions that she becomes a close ally of the Archduchess and the Eylstadt government, as well as to Izetta, the nation's PropagandaHero and a witch of immense magical strength. The Second Coming of the White Witch, in fact, has been using Manon's intel to her advantage, destroying important German bases and transport hubs near the Eylstadt border. Consequently, these actions by the French Resistance fighter have in turn earned the ire of Lt. Col. Arnold Berkman and Sophie, both of whom formerly worked for the Germanian Empire, and were now collaborating with the Nazis in their shared goal of conquering and destroying Eylstadt. Berkman himself has been working closely with the Schutzvollstrecker in tracking down, and eventually, assassinating the French Resistance fighter and her allies, not helped by the fact that his new superiors and colleagues want her dead as well for ruining their respective plans.

* Near the end of the Sengoku era, a poor village was being harrassed by bandits. A few peasants took the only thing they had to bargain with, which was rice, and used it to hire samurai. Seven samurai, nearly all disgraced, deigned to help: wise and level-headed Kambei, the leader; young Katsushiro, eager to prove himself; Gorobei, easygoing and profficient with a bow; Heihachi, not much of a warrior but knows how to lighten the mood; the silent but efficient Kyuzo; Shichiroji, who wanted to fight alongside his old friend Kambei again; and last but not least, the boastful maverick Kikuchiyo who isn't what he seems. This unorthodox crew trained the villagers to defend themselves and went to war with the bandits, who were annihilated, though unfortunately Gorobei, Heihachi, Kyuzo and Kikuchiyo lost their lives. In the end, the villagers went back to their regular lives, while the remaining samurai felt as if their victory rang hollow.
* Being {{Ronin}} and shell-shocked by their experiences, Kambei, Shichiroji and Katsushiro wandered around and scraped a living with little purpose until they were visited by some deities; for Kambei and Shichiroji it was the Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, and for Katsushiro it was another ronin named Sanjuro. The Gorenger, full of admiration for the samurai's deeds, calmly and respectfully explained the Pantheon to Kambei and Shichiroji before inviting them in, which the two accepted since there was arguably nothing left for them in their world. Sanjuro meanwhile more or less dragged the young Katsushiro in without preamble, having no patience for his questions as to why he resembled Kikuchiyo so much. Despite the treatment, Katsushiro couldn't be happier to find his four fallen comrades alive and in good health, and of course the same goes for Kambei and Shichiroji. Thus reunited, the seven were formally deified.
** All the samurai have a good understanding with Sanjuro and he will often show up to help out with whatever the seven get themselves involved in, even if Sanjuro prefers to be on his own most of the time, despite Katsushiro's frequent entreatments for him to join them. Kikuchiyo, on the other hand, seems to have a bone to pick with Sanjuro for one reason or another, and constantly boasts to his teammates how he's worth ten of Sanjuro. Sanjuro is mostly annoyed by Kikuchiyo's antics, though he reckons to himself that despite all the blustering, Kikuchiyo's heart is ultimately in the right place.
* Some samurai in the Pantheon have gladly embraced the seven's presence. Likely not all, as many of the things the seven do and have come to believe in fly in the face of traditional samurai conduct. Himura Kenshin was a masterless, wandering samurai like them, who often traveled the land to right wrongs before eventually settling down with a wife and children. The seven are happy that Kenshin managed to have a fulfilling life after laying down the sword. Hearing about the Meiji Restoration and abolishing of the samurai caste was somewhat disturbing to them, though Kambei soon brushed it off as something they can't do anything about, and the rest followed suit (actually, Kikuchiyo thinks it's cause to celebrate).
** Also from the Meiji Restoration is, to their surprise, a white man named Nathan Algren who fought alongside the samurai in a last hurrah against the government. Nathan has his own issues stemming from a lifetime of war and found peace living for the rest of his life in the Japanese village that took him in, so the seven are pretty accepting of him.
* Kikuchiyo chanced to run into a blind swordsman, which amused him so much that he took to heckling him. [[LittleDidIKnow Little did he know]] that the swordsman was the famous Zatoichi, and despite his blindness, his skills were formidable, and so Kikuchiyo learned a rather painful lesson (nothing that couldn't be fixed with one of Ichi's massages) not to assume disability is the same as helplessness. Kikuchiyo still vaguely resents Zatoichi for it, but the rest of the samurai welcome him as a comrade-in-arms, especially after learning of his past as a hitman for the yakuza and how he's dedicating the rest of his existence to atoning for it, by defending innocent people from injustices.
* They've also heard Sanzo's story (he's better known as Sunny, but the seven generally refer to him as Sanzo) of how he used to be an extremely competent enforcer (or Regent) for a feudal lord (or Baron) called Quinn, up until the day Quinn killed some doctors just for informing him he was terminally ill. Sanzo was appalled and struck out on his own from that point on. As he is for all purposes and effects a ronin like the seven, and for a just cause, he is always welcome in their temple and they are glad to fight alongside him, sentiments that are mutual.
* The seven samurai's deeds have been imitated by many. Among those who are in the Pantheon, there is a little ant called Flik, who sought the help of seven circus bugs to help rid his colony from a gang of grasshoppers. Flik himself was indispensable to the war plans with his inventive mind, which ensured victory for the ants and the circus bugs. Kambei couldn't help but feel proud hearing of the whole affair, though Kikuchiyo was more dismissive, thinking they were just insects, which has resulted in the circus bugs tormenting him every so often (all in good fun, not to actually hurt him), much to his frustration as he can't easily see the assailants.
** They've also heard of the big, round, kung-fu-fighting panda Po pulling something similar in his native village by inciting the other pandas to fight against the evil martial arts master Kai. The notion of a world inhabited by animals practicing martial arts was something to absorb for the seven samurai. With that said, they find Po very admirable for his ingenuity in turning the pandas' unique characteristics into unorthodox weapons to use against Kai. Po in turn has turned into a big admirer of the seven samurai's exploits.
* Hearing of the massive war going on between several alliances in the Pantheon, which reminds them a little too much of the martial excesses of their Sengoku era, the seven have made it their business to ensure the war does not involve the more "civillian-like" deities that wish to have no part in the conflict. Sometimes, that does involve the seven teaching less battle-inclined deities to put up a fight. The seven's personal mission means they often go against certain deities, such as Gregor Clegane or the Wild Hunt, effectively monstrous bullies who make sport out of abusing the general populace that can't really defend itself against them. The fact that Gregor is a knight and Wild Hunt's leader Syura is the son of a prime minister makes them all the more distasteful to the seven samurai, who are all too familiar with people in positions of considerable power letting it go to their heads.
* There is at least one deity for whom the whole TrainingThePeacefulVillagers thing didn't lead to very good results in the long run, which is Joshua Graham, who helped the Dead Horses and Sorrows tribes of Zion Canyon fend off and cripple the White Legs tribe. The Dead Horses and Sorrows wound up becoming something of a ProudWarriorRace as a result and picking fights with other tribes of their own initiative, including each other. Kambei, Shichiroji and Katsushiro didn't stick around to see if the village they defended would go down the same path, though all seven find this very unlikely either way. Still, they think it's lamentable what happened with Joshua and the tribes, which doesn't stop Joshua from postulating that the seven condemned a village to the same fate.

* Pvt. Vasili Ivanovich Koslov was a Red Army Soldier who fought in the Battles of Moscow and Stalingrad, two of the fiercest urban battles of the Great Patriotic War.
* Deciding to join the Red Army after the Wehrmacht had killed several of his relatives following Operation ''Barbarossa'', he ended up as part of the 13th Guards Rifle Division, an elite infantry division in the Red Army that would be known for its heroic efforts in the Battle of Stalingrad.
* During the Battle of Moscow, he was pretty much a NewMeat who had never held a rifle until that point. Despite this, he proves to be a crack shot with the Mosin-Nagant rifle. And these skills come in handy not long after, when he and the rest of his unit are immediately pressed into fighting against far more experienced German infantry units.
* By the time of the Battle of Stalingrad, Vasili Ivanovich Koslov is already an ExperiencedProtagonist, having killed dozens if not hundreds of Germans, while also surviving the hellish and wintry landscape of Stalingrad. He also becomes a competent ColdSniper, killing quite a few German snipers and machine gunners while retaking the German-occupied parts of the city in January 1943.
* His last known actions during the Battle of Stalingrad would be the retaking of the Stalingrad City Hall, on January 15, 1943. He was last seen alongside his superior officer, Lt. Dimitri Volsky, firing back at retreating German forces. Following this ordeal, he was never heard from again.
* And so, thanks to his valuable combat experience, it was decided to ascend Pvt. Koslov into the Pantheon, as the '''Representative of [[UrbanWarfare House-to-House Combat]]'''. This was arranged by fellow Soviet soldiers and Stalingrad veterans Capt. Viktor Reznov and Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko, mainly due to a need for more Soviet personnel who would be willing to oppose Dragovich and his faction.
** Originally, it was intended to ascend Koslov alongside two other veterans of the Battle of Stalingrad. Pvt. Aleksandr Sokolov and Sgt. Alexei Ivanovich Voronin, like Koslov, were also members of the 13th Guards Rifle Division who had fought at Stalingrad. And, like Koslov, they both became highly skilled tacticians with regards to urban fighting. However, their actions were less well-known, with [[TheFaceless Voronin's face being anonymous]] and Sokolov mostly acting as a DecoyProtagonist in his own story, so it was eventually decided to have them serve as Pvt. Koslov's heralds, as their combat experience in urban environments was still very much coveted.
* Upon the Soviet Private's ascension, he's immediately greeted by the aforementioned duo, who immediately hand him an SVT-40 rifle and [=PPSH-41=] submachine gun. Koslov is then briefed by his new comrades, about the German threat in the Pantheon, as well as their traitorous fellow countrymen. With no other viable options, and in a place completely unfamiliar to him, the Private ultimately decides to help Reznov and Petrenko in their RoaringRampageOfRevenge against both the Nazis, now led by HYDRA leader Johann Schmidt, and the rogue Soviet faction, led by Soviet General Nikita Dragovich.
* In combat, Koslov proves once again to be a resourceful soldier, creating an improvised StickyBomb from scraps of TNT, grease, and old sacks and using them against several Nazi tanks and armored cars. While they don't knock out the enemy vehicles outright [[AttackItsWeakPoint unless placed on the engine compartment or fuel tanks]], when placed on tracks or wheels, the bomb in question can disable a vehicle's movement, allowing [[InsertGrenadeHere a soldier to drop a grenade through one of the vehicle's hatches]].
* Upon seeing the Nazis attempting to retreat during another combat outing, Capt. Reznov, Petrenko, and Koslov proceed to charge at them, killing many scared German soldiers in the process. They ultimately hole many of them up in an abandoned office building. In a repeat of his first onscreen mission at Stalingrad, Koslov begins planting sticky bombs on the building's foundations, with Reznov and Petrenko helping their comrade in the process. They end up killing the remaining Nazis, with Reznov and Petrenko agreeing that this was and still is the best way to "negotiate" with Fascists.
* During one combat outing, Koslov manages to meet the other protagonists [[VideoGame/CallOfDuty2 from his respective story]], Lt. Randall, Sgt. Bill Taylor, Sgt. John Davis, and Tank Commander David Welsh. Koslov himself is surprised that he even shared a story with them at all, given that his campaign was pretty much a standalone story all by itself, while the latter, at least, had some connections to their campaigns in the form of the Normandy campaign.
* Koslov gets along well with Sgt. Jack Barnes, who is himself a veteran of the Eastern Front as an observer for the OSS in Berlin. Lt. Karl Fairburne, having fought against DirtyCommunists during his time in Berlin, initially suspects that Koslov is one of Dragovich's men. Thankfully, Reznov, whom Karl has come to trust, explains that the Soviet Private is with him and Pvt. Petrenko, and that they have nothing to do with that treacherous Soviet General.
** Tashkent, whom Reznov was once High Priest to, is ecstatic at the addition of another fellow Soviet with a good track record, to say the least.
** One other deity that massively distrusts Pvt. Koslov is The Heavy, due to his family having been persecuted by the same Soviet regime that Koslov had served under. Seeing the Soviet Guards banner on the Private's Red Army uniform ignites anger in the Russian mercenary.
** Artyom also doesn't trust Koslov at first. This soon changes thanks to Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko, who tells Artyom that Koslov is one of his allies, and that he's not with the likes of Dragovich.
** On the flip side, Vasili absolutely finds folks like Dimitri Rascalov to be just as bad, if not worse, than the Nazis he fights against, despite Dimitri having formerly served in the Soviet Armed Forces. The Soviet Private also hates The Son for similar reasons, not helped by his reputation as an addict.
* Vasili, like many a Soviet or Russian deity, actually respects Olaf and his skills in WinterWarfare. At one point, the latter saves Vasili when he bogs down a German armored column by summoning snow on them, allowing Koslov, Petrenko, and Reznov to wipe the Nazis out.
* When not in combat, Pvt. Koslov demonstrates to his fellow Allied deities and Soviet comrades the training and combat experience he had earned on the Eastern Front, namely how he uses [[StickyBomb improvised anti-tank weapons]] and [[ImprovisedWeapon potatoes as training grenades]]. The former impresses Taylor, Davis, and OSS Lieutenant Mike Powell, while the latter earns the interest of O'Bannon, who asks Koslov to train with her in the art of ImprovFu.
** Sasha Blouse, meanwhile, opposes him for his "senseless" waste of throwing potatoes around.
* Not to be confused with RealLife Soviet sniper Vasili Zaytsev, although this Vasili also becomes a sniper himself, just not to the same notoriety or skill level.

''I lay down on the grass, which was very short and soft, where I slept sounder than ever I remembered to have done in my life, and, as I reckoned, about nine hours: for when I awaked, it was just day-light, I attempted to rise, but was not able to stir: for, as I happened to lie on my back, I found my arms and legs were strongly fastened on each side to the ground, and my hair, which was long and thick, tied down in the same manner. I likewise felt several slender ligatures across my body, from my arm-pits to my thighs. I could only look upwards: the sun began to grow hot, and the light offended my eyes. I heard a confused noise about me: but in the posture I lay, could see nothing except the sky. In a little time I felt something alive moving on my left leg, which advancing gently forward over my breast, came almost up to my chin; when, bending my eyes downwards as much as I could, I perceived it to be a human creature not six inches high, with a bow and arrow in his hands, and a quiver at his back. In the mean time, I felt at least forty more of the same kind (as I conjectured) following the first.''

* Resume: Pupil at Emmanuel College in Cambridge, and later at Leyden [Leiden] University in Holland. Apprentice Surgeon (James Bates), Maritime surgeon on the ''Swallow '' (Capt. Abraham Pannel), ''Antelope'' (Capt. William Prichard, May 4, 1699 - November 5, 1699), ''Adventure'' (Capt. John Nicholas, June 20, 1702 - June 17, 1703), and ''Hopewell'' (Capt. William Robinson, Aug. 5, 1706 - May 1707). Captain of the ''Adventurer'' (Sep. 7, 1710 - May 1711). Currently unemployed.
* Before this whole misanthropy conundrum befell him, Lemuel Gulliver was actually really sociable; part of the reason for his love of voyages was to become acquainted with the cultures and languages of the peoples he encountered. This is why, during those life-changing four adventures, he didn't have too much of a problem absorbing the tongues of the races he met.
* One cannot converse about Gulliver without discussing his first stop: Lilliput. The enormous size difference between him and the natives, in short, was both a terror and a fascination. As hard as his arrival turned out to be, the next few weeks gave him some opportunities to aid them in more than one difficult struggle.
* The utmost of labors the Emperor was to provide him, the capture of Blefuscu, at first seemed to be one of gilded honor. The reality soon came, shortly afterward, when the Emperor made clear his intentions with Blefuscu and the refugees that took refuge there: ''His majesty desired I would take some other opportunity of bringing all the rest of his enemy's ships into his ports. And so unmeasurable is the ambition of princes, that he seemed to think of nothing less than reducing the whole empire of Blefuscu into a province, and governing it, by a viceroy: of destroying the Big-endian exiles, and compelling that people would break the smaller end of their eggs, by which he would remain the sole monarch of the whole world. But I endeavoured to divert him from this design, by many arguments drawn from the topics of policy as well as justice; and I plainly protested, "that I would never be an instrument of bringing a free and brave people into slavery."'' His disagreement with Lilliput's choice to absorb Blefuscu became the first piece of evidence bringing him closer to his death sentence, an announcement that drove him to swim away to the opposing island. In asking the Blefuscudians for aid, he managed to sail off before the Lilliputian Emperor could finalize the execution.
* Brobdingnag, the isolated nation of giants, saw the sir under the supervision of that island's royals; contrary to common sense, they did not entirely view Gulliver's smallness as too much of an oddity because their servant was a comparatively-short 30 ft (Whereas typical adults there stood twice said servant's height). Much in the same way that the foliage and wildlife of Lilliput and Blefuscu were analogous to how they might size up to normally-sized people, Brobdingnagian organisms are also relative to the size of the people but far larger.
* Even moreso, though, his occupation in the area was a scarring experience. Combine the possibility of being flattened underfoot any day with being tagged as a traveling acrobat every minute and every hour, and you receive the perfect storm.
** Being used as a toy for, ahem, intimate vices, and witnessing a public beheading in all its sanguine grandeur, are also reason to feel irreversibly squicked. Justifiably, this was the first step in his path to spiting humankind.
* While overall undesirable, one aspect of the island provided him a much-needed mental cushion. ''This young girl was so handy,'' spoke regarding one of the mistress' children, ''that after I had once or twice pulled off my clothes before her, she was able to dress and undress me, though I never gave her that trouble when she would let me do either myself.'' From then on, Glumdalclitch, as Gulliver began to call her, toured him nationwide at her superiors' request
* The voyage just after, to Laputa (Eh, [[Anime/CastleInTheSky not that one]]), became a mind-numbingly stale expedition in relatively little time. The inhabitants were uneven-eyed geeks who only ever spoke of music and mathematics, darn all the other subjects. Although the sir had ample awareness of both arts, the whole lack of variety otherwise left him without a good reason to stay there as long as he had in his previous two outings. Their king was apparently so much an expert on those two fields that it fried his cranium and cost him the ability to effectively chit-chat with people, in addition to requiring roughly an hour's time just to be aware that someone in plain sight might be nearby. For the cherry on top, the men aren't especially concerned when their wives have the nerve to commit extramarital actions (Which is very often); said men would just dedicate their time to devising over-the-top calculus equations and it seemed like nothing changed at all.
* Directly below lay the science-savvy dependency of Balnibarbi. As promising as the experimental prospects in their capital city appeared, not only did the premises turn Gulliver off (For instance, transforming fecal matter back into digestible product), but they simply were not performable. Because these practices didn't work at all, the natives lived in disrepair - and only served to drive the Briton closer to spiting his own species.
* While waiting for a ship to travel homeward, Gulliver stopped by the nearby island of Glubbdubdrib, the citizens well-practiced in sorcery. The Governor in particular dabbled in necromancy; the sir was kind enough to let a number of deceased greats narrate the stories of their lives. ''I was chiefly disgusted with modern history,'' wrote the man upon learning about the extent to which humanity as a whole was uncouth, ''For having strictly examined all the persons of greatest name in the courts of princes, for a hundred years past, I found how the world had been misled by prostitute writers, to ascribe the greatest exploits in war, to cowards; the wisest council, to fools; sincerity, to flatterers; Roman virtue, to betrayers of their country...'' History, as he now understood, must have been written to honor the winners rather than the heroes.
* The aforementioned vessel, once boarded, laid him over in Luggnagg. At first glance, the people were -- for lack of more appropriate terminology -- normal. Conversation with the denizens were to unveil that this land, too, housed a unique charm. In this case, the Struldbrugs. Immortal as they were, to be born one was undesirable above all else; they did not remain eternally young. ''At ninety, they lose their teeth and hair: they have at that age no distinction of taste, but eat and drink whatever they can get, without relish or appetite. The diseases they were subject to still continue, without increasing or diminishing. In talking, they forget the common appellation of things, and the names of persons, even of those who are their nearest friends and relations. For the same reason, they never can amuse themselves with reading, because their memory will not serve to carry them from the beginning of a sentence to the end; and by this defect, they are deprived of the only entertainment whereof they might otherwise be capable.'' It should not come as any surprise that Luggnaggian law considers Struldbrugs effectively dead by that point.
* Gulliver was to become captain of his own vessel during the final voyage -- until unfavorable circumstances led to him being mutinied. The land in which he found himself this time was populated by equine-like beings who viewed their plain-and-simple society as a utopia, and a pocket of humanity so untaught in eligible processing that they had turned into sasquatch-like freaks of nature.
* His respect for his hoofed supervisors deepened upon seeing the afore-described Yahoos, humans without any shred of civilization and common sense, to which the Houyhnhnms despised with all their might. ''My reconcilement to the Yahoo kind in general might not be so difficult,'' wrote the disenchanted human at the sight of these enslaved individuals, ''if they would be content with those vices and follies only which nature has entitled them to.'' Since their masters were not at all advocates of murder, war, or similar methods of instilling death, they had long been forced to resort to owning them as essentially useless livestock. Gulliver's arrival, imperatively, inspired them to [[SterilityPlague utilize a previously-unknown middle ground]]...
* The verdict that Gulliver's advanced state of intelligence in relation to the Yahoos might lead them to start an uprising prompted him to return to England one last time, in this case against his aspirations. His faith in humanity had already vanished in the months he spent in the Houyhnhnms' company, and to be booted on those grounds was nothing short of melancholy.
* In a shocking transition from the man who opposed the enslavement of the independent back in Lilliput, the occupation at Houyhnhnm Land successfully transformed Gulliver into a recluse who merely could not care less about the well-being of other humans, let alone the freedom-deprived. Arriving homeward, he couldn't bear to attend dinner with his family, or spend more than an hour in the urban plane; two horses thus were purchased as a reminder of his final voyage, and the apparently-flawless race that he could do nothing to but admire and donate his time to.
** With this in mind, it would be especially unwise to inform him a search engine called "Yahoo" exists. Curse you, humanity!!!
* Upon revisiting Earth after his ascension, he was even more ashamed of humanity after seeing his accounts stripped down to a squeaky-clean version of his first voyage (Something he no longer views favorably), branded as a children's story. The gut of such disgusting pests!
** According to an interview prior to his ascension, he believes that the Japanese amusement park Gulliver's Kingdom is the nadir of the carelessness when it comes to handling his accounts; here, visitors filled the shoes of the Lilliputians while walking around a colossal statue made in his likeness, with shockingly little in the way of memorable pursuits. Tellingly, it closed after less than a half decade in business, and the aforementioned effigy had become a prime target for graffiti up until demolition was underway in the late aughts.
** Predictably, the man appeared to be miffed when he learned he was being ascended solely on the manner in which he was captured during his first voyage. Even with the presence of The Houyhnhnm race elsewhere in the pantheon, the very label given to him by the pantheon overseers fills him with unrivaled shame.
* One afternoon, Miles "Tails" Prower happened to be making some engine modifications to the Tornado when a literary freak, rushing home from the library, dropped a book; it just so happened to be ''Travels.'' After careful reading, Tails went to reexamine the third voyage, harboring imagery of a hovering chunk of earth. Knowing his friend Knuckles lived on the similarly-floating Angel Island, he rushed over to show him the chapter, wondering if it stayed afloat on the same or similar principles. The Higher Ups in the Pantheon soon began to piece together Tails' intentions and instructed him to first discuss matters with The Author himself, by this point an on-and-off emotional hermit.
** Upon tracking down Gulliver, Tails was greeted with a faint groan, the Englishman concerned that he must have been a neuronally-modified subject designed to fit human needs. The fox-echidna duo at first struggled to make him cooperate, that is until a critical thought came to him: if they don gloves and shoes, then why possibly naught in the way of trousers or shirts? Because of this realization, he let his insecurities slip and gave them permission to encounter their algebraic highness of Laputa, first thing.
** Although no Chaos Emeralds were to be found, it soon was taught to the mammals that the seemingly-inoperable king had the ability to move his island at will, barring sunlight from showering the citizens of Balnibarbi until they were willing to send him representatives on a regular basis (Keep in mind Balnibarbi is a territory the Laputian king has bound to a lifelong contract, and thus regulates the folk with severity). Thanks to a magnetic lodestone composing the core of the landmass (Being the closest thing the island has to a Master Emerald, which solves the levitation question), said king can manipulate the island to exact a repercussion of choosing (As harsh as [[ColonyDrop slamming Laputa onto the below properties]], but thus far he has hardly ever resorted to such a destructive prerogative).
* Much to the Pantheon's surprise, he took interest in fellow introvert Squidward Q. Tentacles. Like Gulliver, Squidward not only has a major disinterest in the people around him ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13d5hZ9I0zI "I Hate People"]] comes to mind), but the fact that [[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS6E7GiantSquidwardNoNoseKnows one time]], he was tethered by rope when he was mistaken for a monster, treated as a servant for the Bikini Bottomites' every-day chores after claiming to be nice in saving his skin, and being suddenly turned against in a disproportionate manner draws the parallels between them even further.
* Captain Nemo, as soon as he was met, became an interesting individual in Gulliver's eyes. Although both have had maritime experiences and exhibit some degree of dislike for civilization, the grounds for said aspects are of disparate flavor. Whereas Gulliver traveled purely by traditional vessels, once hated slavery but stopped giving a rat's tail, and now despises humanity in its entirety, Nemo's expertise came from submersible travel, his spite of humanity not as a flawed race but instead from an opposition to aristocracy, and to this day his blood still boils at the mention of slavery (The primary reason for his stand against the aforementioned upper-crust). A feud that lasted a good two hours between the men prompted authorities to limit their encounters to no more than ten minutes.
* The Pantheon alliances all seem to agree never to let Gulliver encounter The Antagonist, another reputed people-hater dwelling in the temple network. In contrast to Gulliver's distancing from others, the so-called "Not Important" is more hands-on when it comes to exacting his worldview. Fearing that a meeting between the parties would influence Gulliver to translate his loathing into murderous aggression, psychic barriers have been applied that make them intangible to one another should they be within a mile-wide radius.
* Similar bans have been placed on Lysandre and David Banner, who like The Antagonist are more about actually dealing with humans personally to fulfill their misanthropy than Gulliver will be.
** The former, who heads the coalition known only as Team Flare, agrees with Gulliver that humans are flawed, ugly, and simply not worth spending time around. Because Gulliver, under the profession of the pacifist Houyhnhnms, has been unwilling to inflict harm on people himself, neither party can see eye to with each other and thus the GUAG thinks it would be pointless to legally allow them near one another.
** The latter, similarly to Gulliver, accumulated a dislike for their species due to the horrible things he heard about wars and similar military conflicts. Again, differences in approach have allowed the GUAG to rightfully determine that a prospective encounter between them would only result in a rhetorical clash.
** And whatever you do, do not even begin thinking about a theoretical chit-chat with [[Pantheon/HatredAndRancor Zamasu]] (More on that in the Houyhnhnms' profile).
* Having kept their eyes on [[Pantheon/HeroicRoles Li]][[Pantheon/MultiWieldingWeapons nk]] and [[Pantheon/{{Ungulates}} Epona]] (The latter whom Gulliver desperately wished and still wishes to be self-serving rather than a steed) to gain vital tidbits, the deities traced them back to a grove housing a particularly notable, unascended enity: Horse God Malanya. The GUAG politely asked the once-incarcerated paragon if he could meet Gulliver, now a man with a special connection to these faunas. In meeting the Englishman, much trivia was to be distributed between either side. When mentioning to the lonesome mister that resurrecting horses was his specialty, Gulliver quickly rebutted that the Houyhnhnms would reject this offer. Knowing that one, they reject the belief or presence of deities in favor of acknowledging what they already know and sense, two, do not see any merit in resurrection because it would make death feel less significant, and three, that Malanya revives fallen equines at the behest of Yahoos was entirely a subject they'd never wish to affiliate with (To be honest, old Lemuel got chills from seeing this guy). From that moment on, Malanya has yet to leave his quarters in Hyrule once more, primarily because a second request for his presence has yet to filed.
* Strolling around the halls of the Pantheon one evening, a beaked being in a vermilion suit walked adjacent to him, inferiors in pursuit. Intrigued by their stance, the surgeon turned around to find another army of bird-like organisms, theirs paraded by an overseer in cornflower. In asking for the reasons behind their bitterness, Zook (In the orange clothing) elaborated that they had been locked in conflict over the manner in which butter was to be applied to a given slice of bread; the memories of Lilliput soon returned to him, having fought with Blefuscu over housing refugees who left because they cracked eggs "the wrong way." Since this isn't the same Gulliver, personality-wise, as the one who saw nothing good come from the fight, ignorance got the best of him and he retreated back the way he came.
* The GUAG were aware of the Houyhnhnms' dislike for Equestria's residents, but wanted to see what Gulliver himself thought. [[Pantheon/CharacterChanges Starlight Glimmer]], former mayor of Our Town and presumably the biggest control freak in her homeland, was summoned as ambassador to Equestria. Witnessing the two Earth-descended horses standing close to Gulliver in his shrine, she struggled to spit out anything of importance due to sheer nervousness until it came to her one of the basics of Equestria in her mind. With enough explaining of the -- ahem -- prominence of the three pony races to her listener, Gulliver was convinced to make a reply and stood straight. Because he had heard from the Houyhnhnms themselves of their refusal to acknowledge Equestria or its occupants, the former surgeon could not entirely accept himself to befriending any kind of horse that wasn't "Houyhnhnm-like".
** Starlight, particularly, was chastised because of all the ponies living in greater Equestria, she would have been the '''''worst''''' to send down as representative. Why? Let's see, she [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E1TheCutieMapPart1 positioned herself in a seat of supremacy]] [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E2TheCutieMapPart2 and claimed to be as equal as her citizens yet as mayor gave herself substantially more privilege]] (AKA: Replacing ''their'' Cutie Marks, but simply making a new one above ''hers''), [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E25TheCutieReMarkPart1 was skilled enough at magic to almost]] [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E26TheCutieReMarkPart2 cause an unrepairable disruption in Equestria's timeline]], and [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS8E14AMatterOfPrincipals fired a Kamehameha-level stream of raw magic at someone once because they were being disruptive in school]]. The Houyhnhnms explicitly told them that for these critical reasons (Among others), that neither they nor Gulliver would feel comfortable in her presence and ought to keep out of their business at every turn. To them, once a dictator, always a dictator, and thus the standards of Gulliver and Houyhnhnm-kind regarding Equestrians and other non-mundane equines have been declared one and the same.
* His blood really froze when Drake Mallard, of whom faced off against a shrink-savvy adversary referred to as Lilliput [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E3GettingAntsy once]], decided to interrogate him in the situation that the villain may have gotten his name from reading about the man's first voyage. Regardless of how much the avian tried to explain the buck-toothed jerk's intent on making a golf course for ants, his listener showed no interest in the story and shoved him through the temple exit, cutting him off just before he could explain how he managed to put an end to the machination. Apparently, having a god from the Extrovert Characterization house didn't sit well with the former surgeon-turned-captain.
* For reasons elaborated in the Houyhnhnms' profile, Gulliver is put-off by the existence of Crystal (Despite being almost-wholly normal in contrast to Equestrian ponies) or others hailing from ''her'' home dimension. Currently, the alliances are at a standstill as to whether non-normal horses should be allowed to even canter by the edifice, even without actually running into Gulliver himself.
* Another behavioral anomaly with the man keeps in mind his chemistry with mundane, non-horse equines. Take Marty the zebra, for instance: when escorted by the authorities to examine how Gulliver would react, the response was interesting. While the disgraced adventurer did say that Marty individually could not, in any form, be a Houyhnhnm due to seeing the world through overly rose-colored glasses (The Houyhnhnms did, after all, prioritize self-control over feelings, knacks, and attachments to the unknown) and his friendship with a group of non-equines (He explicitly recalled them owning milk cattle). Contrarily, he theorized that maybe, a group of zebras were out there who could be considered distant relatives of the Houyhnhnms, but only if the population was completely immune to any and all ailments and intelligent enough to form a reasonable society with basic infrastructure. To this day, the Pantheon statistics list Gulliver's relationship with the striped ungulates as "Undecided".
** Zecora, being yet another resident of greater Equestria, is exempt from the above-stated ambiguity on zebras just for coexisting with "non-normal" equines.
* Although mortified with the Fleischer variant of his freshman adventure, he is thankful they didn't make it all about [[Pantheon/MealsNToZ Popeye]] as was once planned. If that were the case, then he would probably scream his soul out for being substituted with said green-eater until he's had enough of the bickering and wallop him.
** Understandably, the entire Mario-universe pantheon (And possibly ''every video game-derived character'' post-1981) are just as thankful Popeye (Whom VideoGame/DonkeyKong was originally supposed to be about) was rejected from the final cut of ''Travels.'' Had that been the case, this would have extended his already-deep hatred all the way into an entire thriving medium of entertainment.

* Thelma and Louise are two friends who decided to go on a short vacation together to escape their humdrum lives for a few days. Those plans were quickly derailed when Thelma was nearly raped and Louise shot the man dead. Believing that pleading self-defense wouldn't fly and they would be wanted for murder, they went on the lam and planned to cross the border to Mexico. Then Louise's savings, which would have allowed them to start a new life, were stolen, leading Thelma to rob a store, so they became wanted for both suspected murder and theft. In the end, the two were cornered by the FBI on a cliff overlooking the Grand Canyon. Instead of letting themselves get caught, they drove off the cliff to whatever fate awaited them.
* Instead of dying in a ball of fire after pulling that stunt, the two friends safely landed in an entirely different reality that the feds had no chance of chasing them into. They decided not to question this literally fantastic stroke of luck, whooped and high-fived each other, and simply kept going on the road they found themselves on, eventually arriving at a beachside bar where they could rest and drink some margaritas, like they said they would if they ever managed to cross the border, and ponder their new surroundings, which were most definitely not Mexico. While doing this, they coincidentally met the traveling biker Kino who had decided to stop there for a bit, and she helpfully explained the Pantheon to them. She also told them they should continue on the road they're on and they'll eventually reach the Main House. Thelma and Louise followed that advice and the Main House bestowed them with permanent residence in the Pantheon, becoming free to do as they liked within these realms, with no FBI on their tails or crappy husbands to hassle them.
* Granted, not every law enforcer in the Pantheon believes they should be let go without paying for their crimes in some way, but most deities (including some cops) agree there are bigger fish to fry than two humans who were driven to crime because of some very understandable extenuating circumstances. Even in their world, there was Hal Slocumb, a detective who was very sympathetic to the duo, though he was ultimately powerless to save them. In the Pantheon, Slocumb's sentiment is replicated by Cole Phelps, a by-the-book cop who, in addition to being a compassionate, unprejudiced and all-around nice guy (war crimes and infidelity notwithstanding), can also relate to Thelma and Louise's decision to die free (as he did) instead of turning themselves over. Even so, Cole does still think they should face some kind of penalty for the crimes they did commit, albeit not one that's too harsh. Because of this, he has never personally met with Thelma and Louise, who stay away from anyone who wants them in jail, although he sometimes has amiccable talks with them over the phone and defends them from more ruthless cops.
* One of those ruthless cops that especially gives Thelma and Louise trouble is Dirty Harry, who's famous for his loose cannon approach to apprehending criminals, often to the point of killing them with little question. Harry is not wholly devoid of sympathy for Thelma and Louise, and likely would have made their rapists pay very dearly if he ever got his hands on them, but the string of crimes the two women have committed has him convinced they need to be stopped, and if bleeding hearts like Cole aren't up for it, Harry will simply save them the trouble. Thelma and Louise are mostly reminded of the "Nazi cop" they dealt with at one point, although Harry seems a lot tougher to handle than that guy. That said, Harry also turns away from them if there are more dangerous criminals on the loose at the moment. You can't say he doesn't have his priorities right, unlike Javert whose almost robotic devotion to the law means he is even more determined to arrest the duo, though even he has to begrudgingly let them go whenever he gets assigned a mission of greater priority.
* Some lawyers have come forward on Cole's wake and proclaim that they would do their very best to defend Thelma and Louise in court if they ever were caught or voluntarily turned themselves in. Louise can't help but quip that those claims might mean those lawyers aren't in the habit of trying their very best. Despite that bitterly sarcastic remark, the CrusadingLawyer Phoenix Wright and his colleagues can see where Louise is coming from, what with the many self-interested attorneys in existence that Phoenix himself has contended with. However, he steadfastly remains on the two women's side and proving their innocence. Louise has to concede Phoenix might be the real deal, if only because she's never seen an attorney so passionate about a case. Still, she and Thelma would rather keep chasing their freedom away from the system.
* So Thelma and Louise are effectively still on the lam in the Pantheon. Thankfully their situation this time around is less urgent due to the local police forces having a lot on their hands, what with dealing with some truly heinous and resourceful criminals. And for the times when the cops can afford to turn their attention on them, they have some allies willing to help them out in their escapes. Two of them are the outlaws Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, who certainly know what it's like to [[BolivianArmyEnding take a chance when faced with terrible odds]] and admire their guts in driving off the Grand Canyon to escape the law. Given Butch and Sundance are also wanted by the law, they've taken advantage of that fact to distract the cops from chasing Thelma and Louise. The two women have mused that they didn't exactly set out to associate themselves with infamous bandits, but things being as they are, they figure they'd rather have Butch and Sundance's help than not, and with this in mind, the two women have paid them back by giving them a hand in similar situations.
* Whenever they need to stop by the House of Food to charge batteries, they can count on the discrete support of the ex-cons Noah and Joker, two men who had an adventure trying to escape prison while hand-cuffed to each other. They've stopped being wanted by the law since doing their time, ascending and getting an honest job at the House of Food, but they're not the least bit interested in ratting out Thelma and Louise since they've all had similar experiences. It should be noted Thelma and Louise initially didn't like Joker all that much since he's an asshole and they were worried he was not that different from some of the men they've dealt with after seeing him try to come on to them, but Noah cut in and told them enough embarrassing stories about Joker (much to his chagrin) that assured them that he was no threat, but despite all that, Joker's loyalty to them is the real deal, same as Noah.
* They also get aid from Jesse Pinkman, a former drug dealer who is on the run from the law for his activities while trying to find his own way to atone for them. Given Jesse has never been caught, Thelma and Louise are willing to listen his expertise on the matter, and his status as TheAtoner makes him trustworthy in their eyes regardless of him having had a very shady past. The best piece of advice Jesse can give them is to get new identities as he's been known to do, although the duo are not sure that would be effective since their faces are fairly well-known around the Pantheon (especially, and most importantly, among cops) and just changing names is unlikely to cut it. Even if they don't go for that, Jesse is still up for giving them a hiding place from the law when they need it.
* It might well be the case that the reason Thelma and Louise refuse to turn themselves in, even with the amount of law officials and other people on their side that would make their lives easier, is because they actually enjoy the adventure. If there's someone who can agree with that sentiment, it's Omar Little, whom Thelma and Louise met when he randomly hopped on the back of their T-Bird and begged them to make a getaway, and they just went with it, with Thelma holding him at gunpoint just in case. That caution stopped as they became acquainted with each other and Omar told them about his activities, which mainly consist of him committing crimes on other criminals that decidedly have it coming. Thelma and Louise can get behind that philosophy and so have told Omar he can call them up if he ever needs their help for another getaway. Omar in turn is determined to defend those two from those who'd wrong them, especially as they've been wronged enough already.
* A more unusual type of ally for them proved to be William Wallace, a Scottish warrior from the Middle Ages who fought the English for his people's freedom. As he would not submit to the English even when they tortured him to a gruesome death, it shouldn't be surprising that he respects Thelma and Louise for also choosing freedom even if it came at the price of their deaths. This means he will lend his aid to the duo on occasion, which has led to the ''interesting'' sight of Wallace riding over a hill at the head of his army to intercept the cops as they chase Thelma and Louise, which always causes the cops to drive away in terror before they're put to the warriors' swords (it's not mere guns that will stop Wallace and his companions).
* There are times when they are able to just cruise around at their leisure, despite everything. It was on one of these times that they met the drag queen trio of Anthony, Adam and Bernadette, who also tend to be on the road a lot for their performances. Considering how they are all outcasts from mainstream society in different ways, they hit it off well from the first encounter. While the "queens" are not criminals, it's not at all in their interest to help out the cops or rat out two fellow friends of Dorothy, as they suspect Thelma and Louise to be; the two women remain rather vague as to what their relationship with each other is, exactly, perhaps because even they are still trying to figure it out after that heat-of-the-moment kiss they shared. Whatever the case might be, the two like the drag queens' company and sense of found family, and those three have their backs.
