'''Buccaneer Island'''

The Hall of Piracy is an island with a large harbor, the seas containing various intact and wrecked ships. Docked is the S.S Pantheon Scourge, the most powerful pirating ship in the pantheon. Split off from the Hall of Pantheon/{{Thieves}}, there's a certain romanticizing of the pirate life, though the more modern pirates tend to be cynical and/or [[RuthlessModernPirates ruthless]]. Gods like to pride themselves on how much pirate booty they have, and while it prefers an old timey aesthetic modern commodities like internet access are there for cyber-pirates.

Because there are so many pirates here, it is impossible to bury treasure effectively without some other pirate stealing the loot. The island is marked a skull and bones, only with devil horns and an angel halo given this is for pirate ''deities''. There are three billboards saying "No law enforcement allowed!", "''Manga/OnePiece'' deities, don't bother looking for said One Piece here, trust us we looked!" and "No, we aren't ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything, stop asking!"

* Under the sea in Bikini Bottom lies a strange and often malevolent specter known as the Flying Dutchman. A dreaded GhostPirate, it is said that his corpse was used as a mannequin in a clothing store window, and as such he is never at rest, endlessly wandering the sea and haunting Bikini Bottom for [[TimeAbyss over five millenia]]. Time and time again he frightens the citizens of Bikini Bottom, making deals for their souls, judging said souls, or simply just scaring the living heck out of them. That being said, when [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick get involved his frights can get... off the rails. In spite of his powers being legitimately terrifying, from stealing souls, transporting people through dimensions of horror, granting wishes, and even turning himself into an explosive, the Flying Dutchman ends up as just as much a victim of the comedic antics of Spongebob and his friends at times.
* His GhostShip had drifted into the Pantheon sometime after Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward entered the Pantheon. There, the Flying Dutchman continued his usual haunts on unwitting victims in the Pantheon, primarily sticking to normal people and citizens until the rumors piled on hard enough. Inevitably, fate would bring Spongebob and Patrick to visit the Flying Dutchman, who explained to the Flying Dutchman about the Pantheon, and told him about how the Pantheon worked. It led to the Flying Dutchman deciding to frighten one of the more popular gods there as a personal challenge, since if Spongebob and Patrick were gods in this Pantheon, [[WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong there'd be little problem in finding a more well-known deity to spook.]] The Flying Dutchman snuck into Luigi's temple and scared the daylights out of Luigi, putting the poor plumber into a rigorous parade of frights. What the Flying Dutchman didn't expect was for Luigi to eventually find and pull out his Poltergust 3000, and once that thing started sucking up the Flying Dutchman's tail, the ghost would find himself in a very new predicament. Captured by Luigi, he was presented to the Pantheon officially, and while the Flying Dutchman was planning to put an eternal curse on Spongebob and Patrick, he was given the GhostPirate trope, allowing him to stay as a deity, so he decided from then that they're even.
* Has a varying relationship with [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick. While he can end up being an enemy with them like in "Shanghaied" where they were incompetent forced shipmates, they've also helped out when [=SpongeBob=] brought his groove back. Not to mention that if he did claim Spongebob, he'd end up being annoyed by him to let him go anyway. This has been unfortunate for Squidward who's still scared silly of him, not that the Flying Dutchman cares. There have been occasions where [[VideoGame/SpongeBobSquarePantsRevengeOfTheFlyingDutchman the Flying Dutchman]] has attempted more drastic reigns of terror over Bikini Bottom, only for Spongebob to defeat him and the curse he put over Bikini Bottom. And on another occasion later on, Spongebob helped the Flying Dutchman [[VideoGame/SpongeBobSquarePantsBattleForBikiniBottom get rid of some of Plankton's rogue robots in exchange for a Golden Spatula]], only for the Flying Dutchman to go back on his deal, leading to Sandy having to deal with him herself. Despite Sandy being tougher to get rid of than what the ghost expected, it ended up taking Spongebob creating a bubble model of The Flying Dutchman's ship to settle things with the ghost pirate.
* While scary and somewhat malevolent from time to time, he more enjoys scaring and frightening people over killing them, even if he can be a real jerk about it. He gets along pretty well with Oswald Thorn and Jack O'Lantern, and try their best to spook and scare. That said, he hates it when people dress up as the Flying Dutchman himself to impersonate him, which Spongebob learned the hard way. Or maybe he just [[DoWrongRight has standards when it comes to people using his likeness to scare others.]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDDUa75vcxM He does make for an effective scarer, though he still needs to understand the ways of surprise and inconsistency better]]. He does take Halloween seriously enough to be offended by those who find Halloween to be something to laugh at than to scream at. He appreciates those skilled in bringing frights as a job, such as Pitch Black and Jack Skellington. With the former he's troubled Jack Frost on a number of occasions. Also while he's impressed by Freddy Krueger's skills at fear, [[EvenEvilHasStandards he opposes his depravity and sadistic murdering]].
* He may expect fear and terror from those he meets, but there are those who view the horrifying not with laughter but with admiration that the Flying Dutchman had grown soft towards. There were those like Koume Shirasaka as well as the duo of Skid and Pump who adore all that is spooky and scary, the Flying Dutchman included. He was a bit miffed that he doesn't genuinely terrify them, but unlike with Spongebob he isn't too annoyed and can tolerate the reception given the context, and lets them watch him scare other people. He actually once turned Skid and Pump into ghosts themselves (it was their request) to let them cause spooky mischief, although once [[NoodleIncident it led to a large many-eyed eldritch being pursuing the Flying Dutchman and scaring the Flying Dutchman himself,]] he had to change them back. Additionally, the Bedtime Stories Crew have seen the Flying Dutchman as an interesting spectre to learn more about and to speculate on. They're unsatsified on what they've heard about the Flying Dutchman and are keen on capturing the terror of the Flying Dutchman personally, though they are cautious to ensure the Flying Dutchman doesn't capture them first.
* When it came to pirates, many have learned to fear the Flying Dutchman once they realized they did not share the same ability to last through his antics as Spongebob had. However, it hasn't stopped more powerful pirates for having a go at the Flying Dutchman, and butting heads with him. The Flying Dutchman used to antagonize Shantae and her friends, but her own archnemesis, Risky Boots, took offense to having another phantasmal pirate rival. Once Shantae had told the Flying Dutchman about the fate of the Pirate Master that she used to be a subordinate for, the Flying Dutchman simply left, deciding that Risky Boots would be someone he'd have to deal with more carefully. He also had butted with King K. Rool who also had his stints as a pirate captain, due to the Flying Dutchman attempting to recruit some of the Kackles working under K. Rool. One other pirate that ended up humiliating the Flying Dutchman was Guybrush Threepwood, who the former had gravely underestimated, but given that Guybrush was familiar with dealing a different persistently undead pirate before, he managed to trick the Flying Dutchman to pursue him to a nearby market, where the Flying Dutchman attempted to frighten the bystanders there. Unfortunately, one of said bystanders was Popeye, who had a can of spinach at the ready. One CurbStompBattle from Popeye later, Guybrush taught the Flying Dutchman that there were sailors not even he could scare silly.
* Particularly skilled at making fancy rope knots, however he hasn't worn shoes for over 5000 years and as such can't help with shoelaces. Instead he uses his lucky dining sock as [[FogFeet "footwear"]], which he values deeply, since for some reason, the Flying Dutchman cannot eat anything, including potential victims, without that dining sock, and is very protective over that sock. and will grant wishes for it. Just be careful because [[JackassGenie he gets a wish too]], and even if you don't senselessly waste your first two wishes, he can use his own wish to play around your wishes. Obviously doesn't get along with the friendly genies for that reason, but he does give Desiree on how to fool potential victims however. He did attempt to get along with Erazor Djinn and Jafar, but found the both of them to be ambitious and selfish to hang out with.
* He does [[DealWithTheDevil deals with people's souls]], though there poses much competition from other soul dealers, especially The Devil from Cuphead, who worries the Flying Dutchman given that a ghost train had been subject to a soul contract as well. Sometimes he competes with Death from Regular Show in a friendly competition, occasionally drinking when they get cheated out. Another soul dealer that he ended up befriending was The Snatcher, once an unfortunate prince whose ex-girlfriend proved to be more terrifying than the Flying Dutchman could ever imagine. While they still aren't fond of the idea of sharing targets, the Flying Dutchman does occasionally hang out and even participate in "enhancing" the experience of the Snatcher's Death Wish contracts. However, those who are cheapskates in deals [[EvenEvilHasStandards upsets him]], like when Mr. Krabs gave up [=SpongeBob=] for 62 cents. Eliza and Neal Reagen were even more intolerable, and Mr. Burns even cheaper. Plus with Krabs there are way too many people to claim his soul already, due to how easily he was to give up his soul for money. Peter Pettigrew really repulses him due to selling out his friends [[DirtyCoward to save his own skin]].
** The Flying Dutchman and Plankton are mostly adverse to each other, despite both usually having antagonistc roles toward Spongebob and especially Mr. Krabs. Not only do they specialize with incompatible domains, with Plankton's robots not mixing with the Flying Dutchman's supernatural antics, a particular occasion with Plankton trying to steal the Krabby Patty formula by trying to be a ghost led to the Flying Dutchman attempted to train Plankton on being a ghost, only for Plankton to almost lose his body and for the Flying Dutchman to try and take said body only to be stampeded upon and convincing him that keeping Plankton's body wasn't worth it. Not to mention that robots simply aren't fun to spook.
* When it comes to relations with his fellow ghosts, he gets along very well with those who love to be seen as terrifying to mortals. He loves to work with Spooky, and can sympathize with her desire to be taken seriously. He's seen joining in with Gengar's pranks. He also has an uneasy friendship with King Boo, sharing an enmity toward Luigi, Mario, and E. Gadd, mainly due to the latter's contribution to his humiliating ascension. However, King Boo's tendencies to go extremely all-out to destroy Luigi, even risking destruction of everything around him to do so end up distancing the Flying Dutchman away from him. He also took interest in the animatronics of ''Freddy Fazbear's Pizza'', pitying their tragic origin and also attempting to get them, especially Foxy the Pirate, to be more active in scaring others, though not necessarily to lethal extents. And to no one's surprise, he opposes the Ghostbusters on principle, but one particular individual that [[HorrifyingTheHorror creeped him out]] was The Batter, someone dedicated to hunting ghosts like him, and while many people don't see him as anything more than a pale human batter, apparently what he's seen was enough to tell him that The Batter was someone he should cross very carefully, lest he get "purified".
* As for ghosts like Casper who disapprove of such a lifestyle, he usually has no reason to care about what they think. But Danny Phantom had managed to make that get through to him, and as a heroic ghost who has dealt with other powerful spectres, he inevitably had to deal with the Flying Dutchman when he attempted to terrorize the Pantheon, and managed to outsmart and subdue the Flying Dutchman with the help of his parents, who also happened to be experienced in the ghost-busting field. On one hand, while the Flying Dutchman is interested in getting revenge against Danny, he respects his ghostly abilities and is willing to work with him against more threatening ghosts. Like most ghosts, he thinks Dark Danny is horrifying, and will briefly team-up with Danny Fenton to stop him.
* One of the Flying Dutchman's more "out-there" accessories is a pants-zipper that leads to an AcidTripDimension known as the Fly of Despair. Victims thrown into it will be forced through a long fall that takes them through many strange and terrifying experiences full of horrific abominations and entities that justify the dimension's [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast intimidating name.]] It was mainly used on one of his more frequent victims, Squidward Tentacles, after he got stuck on board on the Flying Dutchman's ship and became so much of a bothersome complainer that the Flying Dutchman threw him into it. Charlie the Unicorn was also an unfortunate bystander who was watching the ghost torment other victims and ended up being a bit being vocal about how insufferable the Flying Dutchman, underestimating his hearing abilities. Both of them did end up going home after a long while of suffering through the dimension, the both of them not really enjoying the experience, though the latter claims that he has lived through worse. Also a whole realm of spaghetti and meatballs happened to be inside the Fly of Despair according to Charlie's comments on his experiences, which caused Glitchy's Mario to board onto the Flying Dutchman's ship to annoy the Flying Dutchman and cause mayhem until the Flying Dutchman had sent him through the Fly of Despair to get to said spaghetti realm, which frankly irritates the ghost given that it's not meant to be an enjoyable place.

* Special Relationship: '''''[[Pantheon/TragedyAndDespair Gol D. Ace]]'''''
* The King of the Pirates himself, Gol D. Roger was a pirate [[TheDreaded that struck fear in the hearts of both rival pirates and the highest of governments]] alike. With his infamously powerful BadassCrew, the Roger Pirates sailed across the treacherous Grand Line several times over, reaching its end every time. But in their final voyage, the Roger Pirates found the true final island which they titled Laugh Tale ([[ViewerNameConfusion more commonly known as Raftel]]), and discovered all the secrets of the world there. The captain disbanded his crew afterward and surrendered himself to the World Government where he drew hundreds if not thousands of witnesses. Instead of being the symbol of oppression against piracy, [[InspirationalMartyr Gol D. Roger instead used his final moment to tell the world that his ultimate treasure]], the One Piece, was offered to anyone ambitious enough to find it. This kicked off the Great Age of Piracy where many entered the Grand Line with the hopes that they could become the Pirate King themselves. Upon ascending to the Pantheon, Roger is satisfied with what he accomplished and now finds entire universes to explore next on his list.
* Gol D. Roger's character can best be described as "Luffy up to eleven", which is ironic since Luffy is the grandson of his historic rival, Monkey D. Garp. Roger is an ambitious and chaotic person, unwavering in his pursuit of adventure. Usually, Roger is similar to a child but when properly serious, he is a nightmare for anybody in his path. [[TheCobblersChildrenHaveNoShoes People would not have been surprised if he was the father of Luffy instead]]. Those who knew him personally thought he was a beyond a great man and those who only heard of his reputation could only recoil in fear at the insinuation of his legacy. Speaking of his power, even the extremely strong Four Emperors of the Sea have not phased him, even when Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Kaido fought with other infamous pirates under the same crew. It should also be mentioned that Roger never ate a Devil Fruit and was terminally ill secretly the entire time. The point is that people ought to be nice when Roger is present, otherwise the poor bastard would not be able to comprehend their own death.
* Roger thought a reunion with his son born from a secret affair with a woman named Portgas D. Rouge, would have been rather sweet. Instead, Ace wanted nothing to do with Roger as a result of Roger's legacy having lingered over himself for his entire life. [[MyRealDaddy He sees his true father as Whitebeard and wanted to make him King of the Pirates]]. Needless to say, Roger was particularly bummed out by this revelation that his son hated him. He wondered if Garp is the reason for his son hating him but Garp had to rail on Roger for him to understand.
-->'''Garp:''' YOU WERE THE MOST WANTED MAN IN THE SEAS. DO YOU THINK THAT DOESN'T HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON PEOPLE WHO KNEW YOU?!
-->'''Roger:''' I think I'm pretty cool...
* Roger wanted to meet this Monkey D. Luffy fellow after hearing about how much the young lad seemed to have grown to unsettlingly act like himself. However, Roger knows that he could not. The One Piece secret must be kept safe after all and if he wanted to have the aptly named Straw Hat Pirates go find the One Piece first to be congratulated for finding. And yes, Roger did notice that Luffy had the straw hat that he gave to Shanks. He mused that it is funny that [[HistoryRepeats history always liked repeating itself]] in both the worse and best ways.
* Roger is a member of the D clan [[TheDreaded which is feared by the Celestial Dragons]], head honchos of the World Government. He found out the reason why when finding Laugh Tale and has not disclosed the mystery to those who ask. If they want to find out, he said that they ought to go look for the truth for themselves. This is encouraging the ambitious but most would relent after seeing that they had to fight through A LOT of things to learn a simple common initially. For the hell of it, Roger began listing off random people to be holders of the will of D. We have [[WebVideo/ScottTheWoz Scott D. Woz]], [[Manga/IsTheOrderARabbit Kirima D. Sharo]], [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Professor D. Hojo]], [[WebVideo/DeezNuts Do D. Nuts]]...
* Despite the disbandment of his crew, Rogers wanted to form a new one in the Pantheon out of a need for comradery. [[NatureIsBoring After all, exploring time and space is quite boring if you are alone after]]. He did not want to use the Roger Pirates name since it would be awkward after making waves on the crew's breakup. Instead, he created what would definitely be an original pirate crew that would be distinct from the Roger Pirates. Roger came up with the name the Neo-Roger Pirates which is completely original and nobody would mistake it for anything but his crew. What he ended up creating was a RagtagBunchOfMisfits that looked even odder than the original Roger Pirates crew and all eventually came to some degree of UndyingLoyalty to their captain one way or another.
** The first person who Roger ended up recruiting is someone with an unscrupulous history. That would be Hol Horse, a person while a ruthless mercenary is a bit on ALighterShadeOfBlack when compared to his other mercenary compatriots under the employ of a certain vampire. Roger kept asking at bars for people to join his crew and ended up looking like he had the lamest pickup lines for the night. Hol Horse who ran low on cash at that time took the job Roger offered out of desperation. Never did Hol Horse think that Roger's definition of an "[[TroubleEntendre easy escort job]]" was helping him go find Smaug's lair to steal much of the dragon's treasures. Instead of being stealthy, Roger went to fight the dragon head which caused Hol Horse to shoot wildly in panic. What ended up happening is Hol Horse tipped over a rather large tower of gold onto Smaug's head, ending what Roger considered a fun duel. Even though he could have just made off with the half of the treasure they made off with, there was an inviting excitement that Hol Horse had throughout that escapade. In the end, Hol Horse said he would follow Roger to have more of these thrills, which Roger laughed happily at.
** The two ended up stumbling across a rather shiny sword on the ground and Hol Horse tried to loot it. Instead, it was Excalibur, a rather... annoying creature who was so annoying that Hol Horse's expression was of (ﺧ益ﺨ). However, Roger never created such a face and welcomed the sword onto his ship as a crewmate. It was weird considering that regardless of Roger's standing, that Roger should have expressed the same brand of (ﺧ益ﺨ) annoyance as well. Roger would like to say that he would make that (ﺧ益ﺨ) face if he could with Excalibur around but he would be even madder if the sword did not stick around to go on merry adventures. With that, Excalibur joined the crew with the intent to annoy anybody who joined. He liked calling them fools, calling that to Roger the most but the pirate does not mind in the slightest. Meanwhile, [[GettingTheBoot Hol Horse wanted to kick out the barely useful thing at this point and did so several times]], though Excalibur always returned as only Roger is allowed to kick him out]].
** Although many of the members could navigate themselves just fine, Roger wanted someone to serve that role specifically. Roger found Mr. Krabs trying to experiment if he could branch out with Krusty Krab food stands. Roger loved Krabby Patties and offered Krabs to join the crew... as a chef. Krabs hearing about wealth jumped in for this venture and left the Krusty Krab to his two employees. Much to the Neo-Roger Pirates' horror, [[LethalChef Krabs never cooked the Krabby Patties in his stand and was such an awful chef]], that he created a monster that was meant to be an appetizer. It was unfortunate that Krabs revealed he was the chef of the S.S. ''Diarrhea'' afterward. Due to his experience as a pirate, however, Krabs was changed to be the navigator for the crew as he had a great scent for what Rogers called "adventure" (money).
** Chef after being let go of his job ([[CallBack the district did not want to hire a Nazi zombie and a Scientologist for safety reasons]]), hopped around as a cook from job to job since he could never maintain steady employment. He would always sing about how he wanted to make love to a woman very loudly likely contributed to this. Roger met Chef after a temporary cooking job on a cruise went wrong and it all sunk to the bottom. Chef was found holding onto a piece of driftwood and Roger picked him up. It was when seeing Chef's cooking skills was when the captain asked Chef to join the crew, which Chef obliged as long as he could make love to women while he is pirating around. [[SexualEuphemism Roger gave Chef a satchel of gold and said that all the ladies are waiting.]]
** Practically the most shocking addition to their crew was Lotor, the herald of the Galra Empire who had nowhere else to go as his father kicked him out of where he lived. Lotor was busy running from assassins sent by his father and out of pure luck, Roger was present and intervened with Haki-colored efficiency. Roger then took Lotor to his ship where Lotor voiced his troubles to him and Roger resolved to kick his father's ass. Showing up in Zarkon's place, [[CurbStompBattle Roger proved to be a superior fighter against Zarkon and humiliated the emperor]]. Zarkon then began listing off the crimes his son had done but the only thing Roger cared to hear about was the fact Lotor was a good pilot. So when getting back to his ship, Roger offered Lotor a place in his crew as the helmsman if he had nowhere else to go. Lotor is quite a selfish person and thought this was an opportunity to escape his messy circumstances, so he accepted out of convenience. The Galra prince went to learn how to pilot a more primitive vehicle but eventually mastered steering in due time. To Lotor's surprise, he grew to enjoy the company of his crew and though he found the prospect of being a pirate degrading initially, it became clear Roger was more of an adventurer than a pillager, and that he was a charismatic man on par with an emperor.
--->'''Lotor:''' Maybe if I learn to make people faint by staring at them, I could overtake the captain.
--->'''Krabs:''' Boy, I saw you almost cry from hitting your toe. Not that it means much when I shout ''*dolphin noise*'' when I hit something.
* A person who was almost inducted to the Neo-Roger Pirates was Sora who has always wanted to sail the oceans since he was young. Technically he fulfilled that dream after becoming the Keybearer but there will always be that want. Roger was perfectly willing to have Sora on his crew as... something ([[DidntThinkThisThrough he never decided on the role Sora would play]]) though Sora's current obligations against the forces of darkness. Even if Sora is across existence itself and if it takes a quadrillion years, the offer to be part of Roger's crew will remain.
* Arthur Curry finds Roger as a friend of Atlantis after he defended its inhabitance from Black Manta when their king was away. As a friend of Fishman Island, Roger could not stand by as a group of armed people tried to invade an armed submarine. Even Black Manta was taken aback by [[CurbStompBattle how easily Roger managed to subdue his entire crew without touching them, then proceeded to take on Black Manta's laser head on where it brought only a light scratch]]. Though he cannot condone pirates as his city was just attacked by them, he thanked Roger nevertheless. [[EveryoneHasStandards He did have to put his foot down on Roger wanting to mark Atlantis as his territory to deter other pirates from trying to seize it.]]
* Cervantes de Leon saw the power that Gol D. Roger held and wanted to absorb Roger's soul to gain the capabilities of Roger. His immortality can only do so much for himself, but upon seeing the Haki that Roger utilized, Cervantes thought that the Soul Edge was as good as his if he took Roger's power. He underestimated Roger a bit too much when boarding his ship and with a harsh slash from a normal sword blew Cervantes off the deck and into the ocean. [[FriendlyEnemy Roger swam after Cervantes, brought him back to the ship, and tended to the pirate's injuries while apologizing for "going too hard" on the guy]]. Cervantes may want him dead but Roger does not want to morally crush a fellow pirate! [[DontYouDarePityMe Instead, Cervantes de Leon felt humiliated by the endeavor and jumped back into the ocean, having promised to go after Roger someday]]. Roger remained optimistic about the challenge much to his crew's dismay.
* Tyrants from Big Brother to YHVH have all expressed certain fears towards those like Roger. Those who martyred themselves to future generations, having pushed them to free themselves from a world controlled by authoritarians. Many do not fear Roger's power (which is itself incredibly strong) but rather, what he can do to their authority over others. [[IconOfRebellion Authoritarians always have the need to control others and bringers of freedom are seldom loved by them]]. Roger just laughed at their fears towards him.
-->'''Roger:''' Hah! I bet you have in your rooms and play pretend that you're the will of the universe itself! You cannot stop a person from their soul's desire for freedom! Even if I'm not around, people will toss you over since nobody wants to be under some buttheads like you!
-->'''Lotor:''' [[BigStupidDoodooHead Buttheads?]] Really?
-->'''Roger:''' It's true though! I'm sure most of these guys have butts for heads!
** For these reasons, Lucifer sees Roger as one of the greater champions of freedom out there. The man is charismatic and willing to go against entire nations without any reservations. The fact that so many authoritarians fear him speaks of how threatening Roger is to their rules. Lucifer wanted to manipulate Roger to be a champion of Chaos, but the man as foolhardy as he was, [[SmarterThanYouLook is not THAT dumb]]. Roger saw through his plans and refused to have his crew be coerced into some ideologically political warfare. That is precisely what Lucifer wanted to hear.
* Guybrush Threepwood once tried looking for the One Piece himself but then gave up soon upon entering the Grand Line, [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption getting his ship completely demolished by sea monsters and being stranded on a raft]]. It was then by pure chance that he washed ashore in front of the Neo-Roger Pirates who were sailing the Grand Line for the sake of adventure. Guybrush did his best to annoy Roger into telling him where exactly the One Piece is hidden but Roger kept saying no to him, telling the pirate to go find it himself. Guybrush was disappointed though thought Roger himself was a great man.
* The Bone Cousins at one point were stowed away on Roger's ship with the hopes they could plunder his treasure (or at least Phoney was) and ended up being found by an annoying Excalibur. Instead of throwing them down the plank, Roger opted to have the Bone Cousins go on a few adventures instead. [[NoodleIncident They were nearly eaten by dinosaurs, run down by skeletons, and giant robots trying to punch them]]. Roger wanted to formally invite the three into the crew and as much as they learned to respect Roger, no amount of treasure was worth risking their lives in such a way.
* [[AlternateCompanyEquivalent Gildarts Clive was mistaken as Shanks]] by Roger and even for a bit, continued to call Gildarts the boy he knew even after being repeatedly told by Gildarts otherwise. Having Gildarts hitch on his ship, Gildarts wanted to go after Acnologia who was sited on one abandoned island. Hearing how strong Acnologia was, Roger wanted to fight the dragon even though Gildarts warned him not to. Gildarts was a powerful wizard but [[AnArmAndALeg he lost a limb]] to Acnologia, though that never deterred Roger. When confronting Acnologia, the dragon had its AntiMagic abilities deter Gildarts but Roger started beating up Acnologia with his Haki abilities, which Acnologia is unable to defend against. Gildarts had immense respect and admiration for Roger afterward for how well he fought, though refused to do the obvious and join his crew. He was a member of Fairy Tail and a guild master at that, so those take priority over swashbuckling adventures. [[WhenYouComingHomeDad Unsurprisingly, being a father never came up in the responsibilities list too.]]
* The Lich who only wants the destruction of all life had an interest in procuring the knowledge that Roger held of the [[LostSuperweapon Ancient Weapons ]]after his trip to Laugh Tale. Considering that a single of these Ancient Weapons is enough to destroy entire nations, of course an OmnicidalManiac wants it. The Lich tried to attack Roger himself after his crew sailed into his domain, complete with radiation flowing around. The Lich then attacked the Neo-Roger Pirates with Roger being inflicted with radiation sickness afterward. It took the entire crew to try to prevent the Lich from taking Roger and ironically, [[ShootTheHostageTaker what forced the Lich overboard was a perfect shot from Hol Horse]]. Lotor steered the ship out of trouble and treated Roger from the radiation afterward, but the Great Pirate knew what the Lich was searching for. Their captain then told them that they should run as fast as possible from the Lich to not risk something that dangerous from leaking out.
* Might Guy had impressed upon Roger with his Eight Gates technique which actually resulted in Roger having to truly push himself against a truly furious opponent. Might Guy in turn [[ClippedWingAngel nearly went to open all of the Eight Gates to beat Roger]] but even he thought that was overkill. The two sat down to drink sake together instead of fighting to the point that they forgot why they fought in the first place.
-->'''Roger:''' It's like someone made us fight to entertain people without rhyme or reason! [[TakeThat Who does that?]]
-->''*WebAnimation/DeathBattle sneezes*''
* Madara Uchiha has expressed interest in what the capabilities of Haki are and went to challenge one of the greatest Haki users, Gol D. Roger. Roger would have accepted it kindly but Madara wanted to push Roger to his absolute limits so that he may awaken Haki in the process. Thank goodness for Roger a good drinking buddy he met, Hashirama Senju, whined about a guy named Madara who kept wanting to fight him. It was a fortunate thing that Roger was not on his ship nor around civilization at that time, otherwise, all would have been cut down by Madara. It took Hashirama himself showing up to have Madara stop pursuing Roger and [[OhCrap the surprise on Roger's face]] when the First Hokage took out a giant wooden statue to slap Madara around was one worth keeping a picture over.
* Immortal God-Emperor uncharacteristically despises Roger because he sees so much potential in the man to unite the world as one. Roger had the charisma, the manpower, and ambition to seize the world but instead all he wanted to explore. If the God-Emperor was Roger, [[TheConqueror he would have all the cultures of the world under a great empire he formed to purge wars and corruption]]. Instead, Roger just pursued in his view, a pointless fool's errand that never benefitted anyone. Roger just laughed at that sentiment and called the Emperor an out of touch old man.
-->'''Roger:''' Ha! And what would that accomplish for me? Will I and the D clan just reign over the world until some new shmucks come and throw us out? My accomplishments may only be shared with me and my crew but those memories are more fulfilling than the spoils of war! If you think the dream of adventure is for the foolish, then let them be fools! Let them live their lives in excitement than in chains you want to be placed on them! Because guess what? [[MeaningfulEcho Dreams never end!]] Life is short and I think you've lived too long to see that a short-lived star is just as if not even more lasting than the oldest stars out there!

* UsefulNotes/{{Blackbeard}} is perhaps one of the most infamous titles ever given across history. Just the two words of black and beard together [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast convey dread and fear to anyone]] ([[MeaningfulName alongside the image of a person with a black beard]]). One such taker of the epithet is Marshall D. Teach, a former member of the legendary Whitebeard's crew and now Commodore of the Blackbeard Pirates. Not even having a bounty before becoming a very brief Warlord of the Sea, Teach's ambitions have been high since he was young. Presenting himself as a loyal pirate to his former captain, Teach was secretly plotting to have Whitebeard [[TheStarscream be only a stepping stone for his career]] once the Whitebeard Pirates found a Devil Fruit whose powers grant the users darkness and nab the Devil Fruit powers of others. He eventually ate the Devil Fruit from himself after killing his allies, to which Blackbeard then began amassing his new pirate crew with the [[LegionOfDoom most deadly criminals]] across the sea. By setting up the war that would take Whitebeard's life, Teach would take his former captain's Devil Fruit that causes tremors for himself, and was also given a handful of criminals who would serve as his Ten Titanic Captains. Taking over the territories Whitebeard held and becoming an Emperor of the Sea as a result, the name of Blackbeard [[FromNobodyToNightmare went from nothing to one of the most fearful pirates]] ever. For this, Teach became eligible to enter the Pantheon under his namesake’s title.
* Thanks to his epithet, Blackbeard gives himself the pseudonym of Edward Thatch to make sure people do not know it is him. He wants to take advantage of the Pantheon as best he could, to one day rise even above his already lofty position but there are too many eyes upon him now. One of Blackbeard’s greatest strengths is [[NotSoHarmlessVillain the unassuming nature he held]] for the longest time, now blowing itself out of the water due to his rise to power. This went to prove helpful against Whitebeard as Blackbeard said he is Edward Thatch, not the Blackbeard he knows of. Ace who went to die because of Blackbeard's machinations did not like the idea of his capturer who made him a stool to reach higher heights of power may be going free. Blackbeard is being VERY careful not to have Ace find out who he is, otherwise, Whitebeard may come to him ready to [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown tremor-tremor punch Teach's face]] apart. Blackbeard may have Whitebeard's current powers but Teach cannot defend himself against the Haki his old captain has at all.
* The commonality between those who held the D initial is still unknown but one undeniable truth is they are directly or indirectly responsible for great events at some point. Teach holding the [[CommonalityConnection Will of D]] is alarming as that means that he will not only one day oppose the Celestial Dragons but it means he will likely cause more ripples across the world in the future. Most recently, Blackbeard did cause a major incident by having his crew sack the Revolutionary Army's base without a doubt would start a conflict between his pirates and those rebels as well. Alarmingly, people notice that [[EvilCounterpart Teach is similar]] to Monkey D. Luffy in several respects. An initial nobody who went out of his humble island to become a great pirate, gathering a group of TrueCompanions who loyally follow their captain. They both eventually become so infamous, they gather a fleet behind them and are seen as Emperors of the Sea. Whether they like it or not, Luffy and Teach will clash one day and the Pantheon is VERY nervous about the resulting battle.
* Having eaten the Dark-Dark Fruit ([[DubNameChange or the Yami Yami no Mi as the hardcore otakus call it]]) and becoming a Darkness Human, Blackbeard's Devil Fruit powers operate differently than others of its kind. The darkness has qualities [[GravityMaster such as gravity behind it]] and by touching a Devil Fruit user [[PowerNullifier nulls their powers]] as if they never have them. This extreme power makes Blackbeard's Devil Fruit rank as one of the greatest Devil Fruits if not potentially THE greatest but there is a drawback. Unlike other Logia Devil Fruit users, Blackbeard cannot become the element of darkness itself and forces himself to tank whatever it throws at itself. Blackbeard is lucky that [[MadeOfIron he is very durable]] for a person, as a normal person would probably die from such blows. Practically the most valuable thing that people believe his Devil Fruit holds regardless of weakness is to take others' Devil Fruits as said previously. However, it is unknown if this ability is even part of this particular Devil Fruit's arsenal as Blackbeard is already seen as a [[AmbiguouslyHuman pretty abnormal human being]] even beforehand, though there is an obvious connection. Blackbeard has seemingly no limit to the amount of Devil Fruit powers he could take, and he can even grant it to others.
** Blackbeard went to question if he can take anybody's supernatural powers generally, so when he got to [[VideoGame/JumpForce that weird tournament-style place]] that made him [[SpecialEffectFailure float up in the air awkwardly]] did Blackbeard find a candidate. Izuku Midoriya went to close in on Blackbeard, thinking his "Quirk" works the same way [[YouRemindMeOfX as a certain classmate's]] but found himself stuck in Blackbeard's darkness. It is then Midoriya's Quirk began screeching out to reject the assimilation Blackbeard is doing to it, causing both persons to be in surprise. All Might came in to save his student, though finds incredible disturbance in what Midoriya went through. Blackbeard holds interest in trying to absorb both of their abilities but after feeling that punch to the face, he feels he needs a better plan than the more direct method of showing up in a straight fight.
* All of the Emperors of the Sea do not like Blackbeard but none more than Shanks. [[BunnyEarsLawyer Shanks may be generally rather lax to everything he faces]], even the force of the other Emperors but Blackbeard is an entirely different story. There is something about Blackbeard that makes Shanks tense, and it is not just [[ScarsAreForever due to the scars Blackbeard gave him]] across the eye. Even the heads of the World Government pertain a keen interest of the man, going even past his Emperor of the Sea status. [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness Shanks warns people never to take Blackbeard lightly when his appearances speak otherwise too many]]. He is hot on Blackbeard's trail across the Pantheon, hoping that would lead him to the man and to stop whatever plans he has ready. For the record, Buggy always knew that Blackbeard is someone to watch out for the moment the name came to his ear. A guy [[TheSleepless who never sleeps]] is truly frightening.
* Risky Boots has a resume that Blackbeard found impressive, so he went out of his way to invite the woman to have her crew as part of his fleet. However, Risky Boots went to refuse such a lucrative endeavor because if someone is going to rule the oceans, [[IWorkAlone it will be herself and nobody else]]. Also, [[CallBack after being under the Pirate Master]], it makes sense that Risky is not looking for new employment unless some really good short-term benefit can be found. Blackbeard whose ideals are similar to Risky's with conquering the world for themselves through manipulation and force makes him respect her. Blackbeard and Risky went to drink to celebrate some sort of weird ceasefire between their crews. The Blackbeard Pirates will not bother where she dwells until she can completely call it her territory. Only then will the ceasefire dissolve and the Blackbeard Pirates can engage with her like many other places they went to take over. Blackbeard still has the offer for Risky Boots to join his crew, though she is still confident that she will not sell herself out to him ever.
* [[TrademarkFavoriteFood Cherry Pie is a favorite food of Blackbeard]] which to further contrast Luffy, the latter hates it. His passion for the food is so high, he goes out of hiding to eat the unique variations of the meal. One time upon seeing a cherry pie special at a café, Blackbeard went inside without hesitation (after some difficulty pushing the door). Upon hearing a girl by the name of Hoto Cocoa say to her friends the special should have been strawberry pie, [[BeCarefulWhatYouSay Blackbeard went to punish her preferences by ordering ALL THE CHERRY PIES in the place]]. Needless to say, Cocoa became regretful on her statement upon seeing piles and piles of empty plates before her. Sharo Kirima who is a waitress in the café went to work herself to the bone trying to give the pirate his cherry pies until the shop ran out of them. Blackbeard left happily while leaving Cocoa a newfound fear for cherries (not enough to deter her away from eating them) and traumatizing Sharo enough to tempt her to leave the service industry. [[ServiceSectorStereotypes The service industry is now so apparent to her being humiliating and dehumanizing]], she went that close to doing it even if it means she may become homeless. All of this terror because of a fat ugly bastard slurping down on all the cherry pies.
-->'''Blackbeard''': [[EvilLaugh ZEHAHAHAHAHAHA!]] Give me another round and some wine too while yer at it!
-->'''Sharo''': I swear I will stuff cyanide into the pie if I have some on me...
* King K. Rool and Blackbeard get along just swell due to their persistence in getting what they want. Of course, Blackbeard is the more ambitious and threatening between them while [[EvilIsPetty King K. Rool is pettier]] despite having some incredible firepower behind himself that could do much more damage. King K. Rool after finding no use in trying to steal a pile of bananas went ahead to make [[WaveMotionGun a giant laser cannon]] that is capable to blow up islands just to spite the Kongs. Needless to say, Blackbeard found the capabilities of such a weapon would reach maximum potential under his hands. Blackbeard went to ask King K. Rool to join his fleet but K. Rool would rather try getting back at the Kongs by stealing [[WesternAnimation/DonkeyKongCountry a Crystal Coconut]] or something along those lines. Blackbeard sent his men to find whatever K. Rool wants but all of them came back, saying that they were getting held back by a pair of apes. [[UnderestimatingBadassery Blackbeard would surmise that maybe he went too quick with underestimating the Kongs who K. Rool faces.]]
* Rafe Adler has ties to the Blackbeard Pirates, with him providing information on "interesting" places for Blackbeard to seize while in return, getting members of his crew to help him search for treasure. Blackbeard found it a fair trade, though he gave Adler the most middling crew members to serve as guards for him. Adler finds it a bit miffing that he did not get at least one Devil Fruit user on his team but found a new resolve on his circumstances instead. He now gets two new goals for himself: getting one up on Blackbeard by stealing [[EdibleTreasure a Devil Fruit for himself]] which would thus also prove his worthiness as a treasure hunter. He does not intend to upset the Blackbeard Pirates, only to essential prove how cool he is (when he is not a Drake would like to say). Meanwhile, Blackbeard pays more attention to the much more intimidating Zoran Lazarević where he [[ArmsDealer provides him warmongering weapons]].
* Kirby can be the equivocal to Blackbeard as well when one points it out. This rotund creature with a big appetite having the power to give [[PowerParasite absorb the powers of others]] applies to both of them. You can also make a stretch of a connection with both Kirby and Blackbeard making many friends along their journeys--[[WithFriendsLikeThese friends with a questionably high kill count to add]]. Blackbeard saw the pink puffball eating some cherry pie and went to ask if he could take a bit or better yet just have the pie entirely. Without hesitation, Kirby went to shove it in his mouth. The outrage over such disrespect made Blackbeard pull out his Devil Fruit powers but to his horror, [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu Kirby began swallowing his darkness and almost pulling him in as well]]. Blackbeard knew he should not find a pink puffball scary but... [[HorrifyingTheHorror there are some things that he saw in Kirby that scare him to death]]. Blackbeard went to the Dark Matter Horde to aid them in defeating Kirby because not only for the pie but actual concern that Kirby can cause significant damage to him eventually.
-->'''Sharo''': [[MySignificanceSenseIsTingling Why do I suddenly feel some beautiful justice washing over the universe right now?]]
* Xehanort found great similarity with Blackbeard, with using the power of '''''[[LargeHam DARKNESS]]''''' and sheer cunning. As much as Blackbeard would like to brag about his accomplishments, he would admit that a good lot of his genius plans do not have a good backup if they fail. Blackbeard becoming an Emperor of the Sea is due [[XanatosSpeedChess to good luck on his side with Ace finding him instead]] of the original plan of arresting a certain Straw Hat, which thus went to get Whitebeard's attention. The amount of time Blackbeard's original plan to become an Emperor of the Sea would have gone on for a MUCH longer time otherwise. Xehanort admires the tenacity and ambition behind Teach, remarking that he sees that the pirate has the capabilities on achieving his dream. Xehanort's dream may not have come true but it does not mean it is not Blackbeard's era to shine.
* Starscream who is an infamous traitor regards Blackbeard highly even though Blackbeard publicly interacts more with Megatron. Megatron found Teach held the aggressive values of the Decepticons despite being a human, [[YouAreACreditToYourRace which he found respectable]]. The Blackbeard Pirates and the Decepticons went to have a truce that allows the Decepticons to retreat and travel across the Blackbeard Pirates' territories as long as they do not interfere. Megatron does not intend to uphold that mutual agreement, intending to enslave the Blackbeard Pirates and everyone under their watch. Starscream sees that moment when the Decepticons would betray the Blackbeard Pirates as the [[TheStarscream perfect opportunity to defeat Megatron]] and usurp his place. Blackbeard knows that he will rely on Starscream to cut down a conflict that he does not want to have and will back Starscream if that day comes.
* Diavolo found [[TheAggressiveDrugDealer his drug business]] is much more difficult to manage as that Giorno who went to usurp him took his mob, he also logically took away those drug routes Diavolo uses so much. As a new way to transport drugs, Diavolo went to the Blackbeard Pirates with the hopes to split profits with them on the drug trade. Diavolo would provide the manufacturing of drugs while the Blackbeard Pirates will use their influence to distribute it. They would split the profits with each other and Diavolo would get a marginally lower pay than what he got beforehand, but it is better than no pay at all. The closest to Blackbeard went to recommend to just take the drug business outright from Diavolo's hands but Teach knows better than to do that. If anyone found his drug trade out, then he can pin it all on Diavolo. They have a FallGuy for a marginally decent fee, a worthy investment to Teach.
* Yuu Otosaka became a target for Teach as Yuu holds [[AllYourPowersCombined many special abilities]] under his belt that would be invaluable for Teach not only to have himself but to give to his subordinates as well. Plus, Yuu already has an ability similar to Whitebeard's Devil Fruit so adding that on top of his own would bring devastation across the seas. The Five Elders went ahead to prevent this by having Cipher Pol agents follow Yuu around. Not to have him KidnappedFromBehind because that would be conspicuous but to ensure that the young man remains not in the hand of a deadly enemy. While the World Government superiors believe that these orders are by the Five Elders' own will, in truth it comes from an even higher power who has an unsettling in Teach along with many others in the Grand Line.
* Zorc wishes to [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt plunge the world to darkness]] and finds that if he were to possess Blackbeard's Devil Fruit powers, he could do just that easily more so than he is already capable of. That is possible though Zorc first needs to kill Whitebeard, then search across the seas for the Devil Fruit in question. Needless to say, that is a bit impractical considering that Zorc is a {{Kaiju}}-size monstrosity and there will be countless adversaries on his back. Instead, Zorc when to align himself with Teach with the hopes to convince the pirate to lend his strength. Teach is not an OmnicidalManiac by any regards though he considers Zorc's tenacity on outright asking if he could help bring about the apocalypse to be admirable. Blackbeard repeats a proverb he stole that your enemies should be close while your friends should be closer.

* Black Manta was once a notorious and bloodthirsty pirate in contemporary times before he decided to create a diving armor with the best available technology that could allow him to breate underwater indefinitely, gain augmented superhuman strength and durability, the ability to shoot searing lasers from the helmet's eyes, and carry along an assortment of weapons and gadgets. Manta became best known as the sworn nemesis of Aquaman, the King of Atlantis, and their enmity has been comparable to that of Superman and Lex Luthor, Batman and The Joker, and The Flash and the Reverse-Flash. Details regarding this relationship has been hard to pinpoint, but depending on which timeline is accounted for, Black Manta hates Aquaman for ''[[FeelingOppressedByTheirExistence absolutely no reason]]''[[note]]Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis[[/note]], or the latter played responsibility for the death of the former's father, giving Manta a more personal reason[[note]]Post-Flashpoint[[/note]]. Regardless of this, Manta has seen himself getting involved in all sorts of supervillain organizations, fighting other heroes, and occasionally getting in general piracy and treasure-hunting activities, but his vengeance on his reputation towards Atlantis and its ruler remains his defining trait.
* He ascended into the Pantheon as soon as he found out that Aquaman was a resident of these new realms as an appointed deity. Manta didn't waste any time and made preparations for his own arrival in the deified worlds. Per his own profession, Manta made his mark by arriving on a submarine in the Hall of Pantheon/WaterAndMoisture and pitted his time until a hapless sailor sailed by... after which Manta suddenly ambushed and killed the occupants alongside taking their belongings for personal use. He would then repeat the process until reports of missing sailors and ships started making headlines. Remarks and vague thoughts on his appearance, according to survivors, were what finally tipped many off on who the culprit was, and Aquaman was ''not'' happy, to say the least, knowing that whether it's their world or the Pantheon, his battle against Black Manta will never go away. And he means that.
* With one of the bloodiest body counts, his suit boasting high technology, and being a renowned supervillain in his own right, Black Manta is one of the most feared pirates in the Pantheon and for various good reasons, much to Aquaman's displeasure. Such was Manta's reputation that several people have become influenced in some way or another; some were terrified of a modern vicious pirate prowling the Halls of Water and Moisture and Pantheon/AquaticLife, seeing as he's willing to loot anything that can be valuable with a high success rate on his end or go into a killing frenzy just to spite his worst enemy. On the other hand, some criminals were impressed, even inspired by Manta's cruelty and viciousness that they've aspired to become modern pirates themselves. If his actions ended up annoying Aquaman even further, then Manta is more than satisfied.
* Manta is perhaps most infamous for killing Aquaman's baby son during one of his rampages in Atlantis, and to public knowledge, this is what cemented him as each other's worst enemy. It stands to no surprise that he ended up becoming incredibly unpopular in the House of Pantheon/FamilyAndRelatives. Furthering this is the fact that Manta himself has a son, Jackson Hyde, who instead chose to become a hero under the mantle of Aqualad. Manta's response to this was to brand his son an enemy and is more than willing [[OffingTheOffspring to kill him]] if he gets the chance. Despite the House's negative stance on him, Manta has no intention of stopping his vendetta, even if Aquaman ends up being in said House. If the Heroic Protectors of Family are going to oppose him, so be it. They may as well make for a good bounty if that's worth something.
** The Child Abuse Supporters had some conflicting opinions on Manta. While he would make for a good ally to have, provided he has gotten himself working in villainous teams before and are aware of his antagonistic relationship with Jackson, his crazed obsession with Aquaman was a worrisome notice for some who think that he would only join something if there's something involved with opposing the king of Atlantis. They eventually decided on providing Manta with a good sum of payment to keep him motivated, and while he did accept the offer, he stated that they better live up to their payment as he doesn't tolerate failure. If the Supporters fail, then he may as well consider attacking and looting them as well.
** If there's one remotely redeeming quality to him, it's that he at least had a positive affection for his father and that later on, much of his enmity towards Aquaman stemmed from the fact that he killed his father when the latter and his son were conducting a pirate raid. In fact, Manta even built an AI robot with his father's consciousness and branded him the ''Mecha Manta''. Unfortunately, the AI became dismayed by the depths of Black Manta's hate and insanity, instead choosing to defect and join Aquaman, an {{irony}} that hasn't been lost on anyone who's learned of this matter. Of course, [[BerserkButton Manta doesn't want to be reminded about this, lest he really wants to butcher someone in his vicinity]].
* His ArchEnemy position is sometimes challenged by Orm Marius, who happens to be Aquaman's younger half-brother. He and Manta have worked together on a few occasions on opposing Aquaman, but nowadays, things have been getting more nuanced as Orm has edged out to being well-intentioned on a good day and even being affectionate for his brother. Manta ''doesn't'' like this occasion, to say the least, and often tries to find Orm on his worst days. The two make a formidable duo and can probably give Aquaman a fight for his life. That said, Orm is but a stepping stone for him. He wants to work with Ocean Master to ''defeat'' the king of Atlantis, Manta wants to be the ''only'' one to kill him. He'll even kill Ocean Master if it means he'll object to his desires, and as far as Manta is concerned, that'll be fine as he'll destroy Atlantis anyway just to further spite his nemesis from his grave.
* To give out a demonstration of just how much Black Manta despises Aquaman, he will, without any warning, target any of his enemy's friends, relatives, or allies if he's able to, citing that nothing is worse than seeing your loved ones die and not being able to save them. Despite them having nothing to do with his situation, Manta once attacked May and Manaphy when they decided to meet with one another, solely because the two happened to be friends with Aquaman. While the Pokémon Coordinator and her surrogate son were able to fend him off, albeit with great difficulty and with the aid of a passing Kyogre, it didn't deter Manta in his pursuits whatsoever, only becoming more determined to kill the two. The king of Atlantis, while obviously aggravated by what Manta had done, was also happy and proud to see that May and Manaphy were able to stand their ground, and the two have since become a lot more cautious about the seas since Manta's more active involvement in making enemies and antagonizing others with his criminal acts. May is aware that Manta's ferocity is such that her full Pokémon team may not be enough to protect her, and that her friends, especially Ash and Misty, would be required to stand a chance. That said, those are odds that Manta wouldn't mind.
** Speaking of Pokémon, Manta's availability in regards to dirty work in the coasts and seas generated interest with the Team Rocket leader, Giovanni. He was impressed with the determination and technological prowess that Manta possessed and provided him with a higher-than-average paying contract if he is willing to capture rare and powerful Pokémon and deliver them to Giovanni and his organization. Manta found the payment promising and was open to accepting it, though he has his own agenda, believing that killing any sea and coast-dwelling Pokémon would mean severing Aquaman of a potential asset, something that Giovanni finds that front to be a double-edged sword. He is ambitious enough to even consider hunting for any Legendary Pokémon that he could hunt and catch, though not out of Giovanni's loyalty, to lull it to his side, partly to spite his arch-foe, and partly to grant himself more power, fear and authority towards his enemies and rivals.
* Outside of Aquaman, Black Manta also found himself in opposition against the denizens of Atlantica, particularly Ariel and her father, King Triton. It turned out that Manta's pillages have caused a great deal of disturbance and fear for much of aquatic life and the underwater populace. Learning of Manta's reputation distressed King Triton, thinking that he may be worse than Ursula was, urging Ariel to be careful in case she confronts him. Ariel once did try to convince him peacefully, only for Manta to respond by attacking her, mainly because she reminded him of Aquaman, and would have killed her, had it not been for Triton's interference. The two engaged in battle until Triton managed to create a diversion to inconvenience Manta long enough for him to escort Ariel back to safety. Though Manta was annoyed about not being able to finish off his fight, he asserted that he will return to finish off what he (and Ariel) started, despite Manta himself being the instigator.
** The confrontation between Manta and the father-daughter duo caught the attention of their enemy, Ursula, who expressed intrigue in what many considered a predatory scourge to the Pantheonic Seas and Oceans. Through Ursula as a potential intel, Manta discovered that Ariel had a daughter, Melody, and decided to use this to his advantage. To that end, he kidnapped Melody, ambushed and stunned Ariel, and then forced Triton into a SadisticChoice between choosing who to live between daughter or granddaughter. However, what Manta didn't consider was that Ariel and Melody had personal partners, which was when their Quilfish and Keldeo suddenly sprung out to fend off Manta. He quickly realized that a 5-1 battle would not bode well for him and darted off to recuperate his loss.
** Speaking of Ursula, she thought that with Manta inspiring a great deal of terror, he would have made a great ally and that both desired revenge. However, Manta was too rash and obsessed with his goals to properly remain on amicable terms. In fact, things soured when he realized that Ursula was also enemies with Aquaman as he personally felt that the king of Atlantis is only ''his'' to kill. Even Ursula's attempts to convince him to specifically ''defeat'' Aquaman together aren't enough at times, mainly because he thinks killing him with assistance wouldn't be satisfying enough. Ursula simply finds Manta's mentality on the matter annoying, though the two are open to working together against other mutual enemies if possible. Though she does admit that Manta's brutal nature can creep her out at times.
** He even made an enemy out of Ecco the Dolphin. Ecco has had his own moments of trying to save the oceans and most of the time, the threats he comes across are usually environmental or the acts of an evil animal or poacher. Manta being willing to kill many just to spite someone meant that such an enemy needed to be stopped as soon as possible. If it weren't for the fact that Ecco is friends with Aquaman and would gladly hang out and help him on an occasion or two, Manta wouldn't have really cared. The fact that Aquaman's telepathic ability to communicate with ocean life making them stronger gives Manta a bigger incentive to kill Ecco as he thinks that doing so would weaken his arch-foe, so in addition to spite, there's even a pragmatic reason behind it. Not that Ecco's stopping from opposing him anyway.
* To his surprise, Manta found himself butting heads against Tidus and Yuna on a number of occasions, if mainly because either the latter two try to find a place where they can spend time together, with middling success, and/or the former's plunders and hunts just coincidentally end up with him running into them. While Manta was aware that they would be opposing him, with Tidus calling him out on his pettiness and stating that his daddy issues don't justify anything, considering Tidus's own experience with [[Pantheon/TaintedLove Jecht]]. Yuna mostly remains impartial to Manta, though she laments the decisions he's made in his life, something that he instead takes as an insult. He's careful enough when dealing with them, mainly because Yuna's position as a Summoner means that she has more power than he would normally handle on a regular day. Though with enough tinkering in is tech and learning enough about them, Manta is more than willing to fight and kill Tidus and Yuna if it means two less threats to worry about.
* While he's not the only evil pirate in the Pantheon, he's also one of the more unruly, yet determined ones out of the bunch, with goals beyond just looting and collecting riches to amass his wealth and pride. And while he has a high level of infamy, it's also how he was able to learn about, and eventually come to a truce with Marshall D. Teach, better known as Blackbeard. They work under professional terms with Blackbeard offering Manta a piece of his treasury so long as the modern pirate accomplishes a task that the older pirate hands out. Furthering their relationship is the fact that Black Manta is usually successful and while Blackbeard has stated that he'll fight against Aquaman if need be, he respects Manta enough to let him pursue his vendetta, feeling as if he's more invested in finding the One Piece, something that Manta isn't really interested in. He also found a working relationship with fellow undead pirates, Luthor Harkon and Cervantes de Leon, who see Manta as a valuable ally to have when it comes to dealing with secondary and tertiary threats on their side. Given that the only rules in their partnership are to pay Manta well enough and to ''not'' interfere with his enmity against Aquaman, it works... mostly, as Luthor does desire to fight the king of Atlantis if only to sate his nature as a Blood Dragon, which Manta finds annoying. At least he sees them as more commendable allies than Ursula if it's any consolation.
* He and fellow supervillain pirate, Captain Mako, has had a pretty notable rivalry with one another ever since they first met in the Pantheon. Most who know their comment that the two can make a fearsome duo and both of them actually acknowledge this, but Mako thinks Manta is being short-sighted in his goals, not to mention that dedicating your life to spiting and killing somebody is not something that he would aspire to dictate his life towards. Manta shot back, stating that Mako only wants to kill for his own sake, [[NotSoDifferentRemark something that they mutually share]] and that he's at least not being a total lackey, which ticked Mako off to an extent. Mako promises that he'll see to killing Aquaman himself, saying this as a way to fight Manta and indulge in his bloodlust. While they fight almost anytime they meet, Mako muses that Manta would make a most useful Patron for [[Pantheon/{{Leadership}} Lord Recluse]], if his record of fighting in villain teams is to show, but Manta states that he really just intends to be independent for the most part, feeling that as a pirate, it's best to act on your desires and impulses at all times.
* Giving piracy a bad name, he frequently butts heads against more "heroic" and "nice" pirates, such as Jack Sparrow, Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, and Guybrush Threepwood, to name a few. To them, Manta is a dangerous foe who will continue to terrorize the seas if left unchecked and must be neutralized, with Luffy's gang even condemning him of lacking any true values of loyalty or camaraderie whereas Guybrush likes to taunt and insult him whenever they fight. To Manta, they're just foes that he has to contend against and he personally feels irritated and annoyed by their quirks, feeling that they seem incomprehensible to him and that they sometimes wouldn't shut up about them, especially Luffy with his desire to protect his friends and loved ones. Manta is exasperated to the point where he's willing to gut anyone, be it an ally, foe, or a passerby if he ever has to hear any of Luffy's proclamations about friendship, camaraderie, and wanting to be "King of the Pirates".
** Speaking of Luffy, he also wound up being among the new Pantheonic hitlist of the World Government, due to his profession as a pirate. Learning of his infamy and how dangerous he is, Akainu has elected to step in and deal with Manta as soon as he can, believing that such a vicious killer like him should not be permitted to roam the seas. While Black Manta is open to seeing Akainu as an enemy, he finds him ironic in the sense that he's just as much of a threat to others, despite his mentality of "Absolute Justice". Manta even expressed annoyance over the fact that he's ObliviouslyEvil and that someone should just knock some sense into him, at least Manta himself admits to being a supervillain and an arch-enemy. That said, he did register Akainu as a threat that he couldn't personally handle on his own, instead of requiring desperate measures or a strong ally if it means taking him on.
* Manta was angry when he learned of The Deep, a "superhero" who was a member of The Seven and was advertised by [[Pantheon/BusinessesAndCorporations Vought International]]. He decided to try confronting The Deep... only for Manta to be even more furious when he discovered that what was supposed to be another protector of the oceans is nothing but a joke in his heroics and that he's got nothing to really make him seem like a foe he could take on. That, and just being reminded of Aquaman just by looking at him provoked Manta into a killing frenzy, which drove The Deep into a deep panic, trying to escape his situation as quickly as possible. It took a while for Manta to cool down and realize that despite his hatred for Aquaman, at least he's a strong foe for him to fight, which would make killing him more satisfying. Killing The Deep is akin to just offing a D-List hero, not to mention that The Deep is absolutely pathetic in his display of powers, though Manta would be willing to gut him if a decent paycheck can be offered out of it.
* For a list of outdated trivia related to Manta, he was once speculated to have been Autistic, and Aquaman even thought that his Autism was the reason he was evil. Thankfully, that didn't turn out to be the case and Manta was proven to be a core psychopath, though this happens to be an insensitive topic in general. Not that Manta wants to be associated with the Hall of Pantheon/{{Disabilities}} due to that matter, if anything, Autism is just a trivial subject to him. At one point, he was even turned into a literal giant humanoid manta by the demon, Neron, though he wound up turning back to normal soon. That said, while it did give him greater strength, Manta mentally devolved into a feral beast and would rather be most comfortable being a man in a suit, plus he's too prideful these days to accept a DealWithTheDevil, even if it means a shot in killing Aquaman.

* Rayvis is a Gen'dai, an extraterrestrial race that is known for their utterly bizarre biology and nature, which is known to grant them abnormal strength, persistence, and regenerative abilities, making them among the most formidable and feared races in the galaxy. Having a particular fondness for fighting, Rayvis decided to adopt a humanoid physiology via a tanky suit and become a feared warrior known for killing several Jedi before being bested by one in the form of Dagan Gera. Impressed by his skill, Rayvis pledged loyalty to the Jedi Knight and soon became his closest confidant, bordering on friendship as the two worked together for their goals. After Dagan was incapacitated, Rayvis decided to wait until his master and friend recovered even if it went as long as centuries, in the meantime, he would establish a piracy organization known as the Bedlam Raiders and reign control over the planet Koboh with an iron fist. As he searched for Dagan as well as a compass that could lead them to the fabled planet Tanalorr, Rayvis encountered Cal Kestis, a Jedi survivor of Order 66 and even if they established an enmity against each other, Rayvis would compliment him for his skill and guile, promising to meet him in combat at another time. Upon retrieving the recovered Dagan, the two would continue and further their plans with Rayvis promising to fulfil his oath to his friend, followed by a couple of run-ins and confrontations with Cal. He would have a final fight against the Jedi in Koboh's Shattered Moon and, refusing to choose between two {{worthy opponent}}s to follow, decided to attack Cal, wanting to die a warrior's death, which Cal would swiftly grant, with Rayvis having a sigh of relief and satisfaction before he was finally put down.
* Rayvis met his end in the way he desired it; being defeated by a warrior who could provide him a good fight. Yet even his death wouldn't keep him down for long, for he would end up in a realm far different than Koboh or the galaxy. He was sure that Cal had put him to rest, causing Rayvis to grumble for a bit about his current predicament. He then decided to venture across this new setting, hoping to see whatever new he was about to find himself in. Steadily, Ravis would learn about the Pantheon and realize the scope of his situation, if he was now part of a bigger world, then he surely must have died fighting Cal as he found out that many of the "deities" in these divine realms were from other worlds where they had died, but would come back here regardless if their story proved to leave behind enough of an impact. If Rayvis could make it, then so could Dagan, and the two of them were quick to reunite and reassert their alliance, with the Gen'dai being amused about how he's a "god" of a Pantheon. He looks forward to such a new world, rationalizing that there are going to be far more warriors to fight and take great enjoyment out of as well as rebuilding the Bedlam Raiders and furthering their power and influence.
* Rayvis is an exceptionally powerful warrior and a being who commands great might and dread towards anyone who dares to confront him. He may not be a practitioner of the Force, but he's more than proven himself to take on groups of Jedi and still either win against them or intimidate them enough to recognize him as a credible and dangerous foe. Being a Gen'dai, Rayvis possesses great physical strength, a very prolonged age that hardly, if never, impedes his physical performance, wields a metallic mace that can convert into a flail and withstand lightsaber slashes, and a strong healing factor that allows him to easily shrug off otherwise lethal attacks and even reattach lost limbs. His occupation as a pirate means he leads his army in invading and stealing scraps, materials, and technology from others so he can use them to further his group's equipment and armaments to further their power and reprogram droids into his bidding and the vast number of Battle Droids he has accumulated as well as the number of pirates he has trained and employed are a key factor in his dominance of Koboh. Despite his brutality and infamy, Rayvis is not without a sense of honor; he may relish the prospect of a good fight, but should one prove their worth in combat, Rayvis is willing to offer his respect and even an invitation to his forces. He'll even pledge loyalty to an opponent if they prove stronger than him, as shown with Dagan. His code is such that despite his species having a very bizarre appearance with even weirder physiology, Rayvis chooses to take a humanoid stance via a giant armor to give himself a more warrior-like appearance and further present himself in fair combat.
* Having seen that Dagan has already made new alliances since his own ascension, one of the first actions Rayvis would do in the Pantheon would be to learn about and interact with said allies of Dagan, hoping to see if there's common ground to work with. While not vocal about Darwinism, Rayvis does value strength and power and this was something he could relate with Vergil, a demon who championed might above all else. Even Vergil defeating Rayvis in fair combat didn't deter his respect for him and the fact that they're both working with Dagan meant Rayvis doesn't have to give up his life. Madara and a peculiar version of Superman were a bit more difficult to converse with as both have a strong conviction about their goals which they believe would better the Pantheon. The Regime version of Kal-El was initially wary of the Gen'dai given his occupation as a pirate while the Uchiha warlord felt that Rayvis could be more ambitious than simply being a servant to Dagan. Regardless of their opinions, the Gen'dai affirmed that he chooses to respect his loyalty out of a sense of camaraderie and friendship and even so, a good fight is what he really wants. This was enough to at least earn some respect on Madara's part whereas the Regime Superman decided that while he still was wary, he could at least see Rayvis as a man of his word and he has no problem with being rather cordial with the pirate, provided his relationship with Dagan means they have a reliable ally to depend upon as well as a increase in their general power thanks to Rayvis's leadership of the Bedlam Raiders meaning he has the entire group as his herald.
* ({{Blood Knight}}s) Being a warrior who loves to test his mettle against whatever could match his might, Rayvis was delighted by the opportunity to not just fight those similar to him, but also see if there are any like-minded fighters to recruit into his services. For all that concerns him, anyone, regardless of race, gender, and species is welcome to be part of the Bedlam Raiders or of Dagan's forces so long as they prove their worth in combat. This brought him to the attention of Atriox, a physically and mentally augmented gorilla who championed superiority and might and was eager to see the potential in other races. Seeing how the two had as much in fighting led to the two to clash against each other to a tie, followed by Rayvis admitting that had it not been for his loyalty to Dagan, Atriox would have made an excellent being to serve under. The gorilla conceded that Rayvis is a worthy contender, but given their differing priorities, it seems that an alliance is unlikely for now. The two rarely meet because of this, but this helps both of them in the long run as Atriox has his own ambitions to pursue while Rayvis is content with his own occupation, but he does admit that it would be an entertaining prospect to meet the gorilla again at another point.
* Despite his reputation as a savage warrior and a ruthless space pirate, Rayvis has a code of honor and would keep his word if a promise is made. His warrior's code also means that he chooses not to use the full extent of his powers as a Gen'dai, rather using an exoskeleton suit of armor to fight like any other human. When he visited the House of Pantheon/FightingAndCombat to search for any notable opponents to learn about and fight against, Rayvis was very open and respectful of the rules established there, a surprising display for a pirate and marauder like him and even kept matters rather professional and polite with whoever he talked to. Another being with a similar way of honor is Abhorash, a Blood Dragon vampire who advocated for his followers to only fight and drink the blood of commendable and powerful opponents as a way to become stronger and one day overcome their need to drink blood. Rayvis found the vampire to be a very interesting figure to keep in contact with and when the two met, he gave Abhorash his respects before fighting him, a duel that lasted for a long time before the fight was called off, much to the Gen'dai's disappointment as he desired a fight to the death. Still, Rayvis admitted that his fight was exceptional and Abhorash takes no umbrage against someone who only wished to fight him as a sign of respect. Having proven his worth as a challenger, the vampire views the Gen'dai as someone worth a challenge. After all, a Blood Dragon desires a strong combatant to test their swords against.
** Befitting of his nature and philosophy, Rayvis is not against the idea of dying in battle, provided he is defeated by a {{worthy opponent}} and with both of them being at the peak of their strength. This makes him someone worthy of being considered a patron by the Blood God, [[Pantheon/ObsceneActions Khorne]], whose core philosophy stems from bloodshed and battle, but also martial honor and valor, all of which Rayvis lived by. The Gen'dai was intrigued by the idea of a god of battle and war, but ultimately, his main loyalty is to Dagan, more so due to having a genuine friendship. This was observed by Wulfrik, a devout believer of Chaos and one of the most dreaded warriors of his world, who demanded a challenge against Wulfrik, eager to engage in a battle to the death against someone who subscribes to that philosophy. Even with his biological strengths and advantages as a Gen'dai, Rayvis chose to battle Wulfrik in his armor and gave the wanderer a rather tough fight that both enjoyed, even as Rayvis had to use his species' quirks and Wulfrik still almost won… had it not been for Dagan and Vergil intercepting the battle to whisk Rayvis away for "planned objectives", much to the displeasure of both the Gen'dai and the Chaos Champion. Regardless, both Rayvis and Wulfrik have a measure of respect for each other and the former has affirmed to Dagan that the next time he meets Wulfrik, he wants to fight to the death and with no interruptions, with the fallen Jedi deciding to concede, partly out of care and concern for his most loyal ally.
* Aside from fighting, Rayvis's most notable character is his loyalty, a further extension of his odd sense of honor as a warrior. That's not to say he has his disagreements and snarks against Dagan, but to their mutual allies and those who know enough about the two, their friendship is a strong one to the point where Rayvis wouldn't throw away his pledge of allegiance, even if he is beaten by another warrior in fair combat and remains convicted enough to honor his friend's promise of reaching Tanalorr. This is why he has a level of appreciation for the House of Pantheon/LoyaltyAndServitude, a place where he could simply take the time to relax and reminisce about whatever triumphant moment he had in the past as well as share good talks with his allies and Dagan. Considering his occupation as a pirate, a role known for being incredibly shrewd and not caring about honor and loyalty in favor of their own gains, it makes his presence in the House all the more noticeable. It's also a place where he wouldn't fight anyone, good or bad, treating it as a safe zone and simply offering his thoughts about the various deities there. There, he expressed a sense of respect for Colonel Mael Radec for his strong loyalty, even if it's for a regime that he would not align himself against, and would be open to testing his skill against the Helghan colonel in fair combat at some point.
* As a space pirate, Rayvis has seen himself having a couple of rivals and new enemies, with his only proper alliance with one being Admiral Razorbeard, simply because Razorbeard found the idea of working with the Gen'dai to simply be an interesting direction of where to take his own piracy career towards, given Rayvis's more different nature and ambitions. The two see each other as dangerous and formidable fighters, all the more reason to gain each others' respect and another way to increase their presence and reputation in the Pantheon. Regardless, Rayvis felt rather disappointed in a lot of space pirates as he felt that they felt too unambitious or were too crazed to be worth the effort of working alongside with. While his ferocity can match that of Ridley, the two ended up coming to blows when Ridley decided to attack the Bedlam Raiders in an effort to eliminate what he felt was competition, even if Rayvis's forces did nothing to provoke the space dragon, forcing the Gen'dai to step in and battle Ridley until he managed to drive the dragon away. Furthermore, Ridley's space pirates were only in it for bloodshed, much to Rayvis's dismay as he felt that they would have made decent recruits for his band of pirates, and the same could be said for Felix, a supposedly loyal soldier who would rather betray and backstab anybody so long as it benefitted only him. While Rayvis is no stranger to killing and making enemies, even he was disgusted at the lengths Felix would go to satisfy himself, marking it as underhanded and cheap, even for a pirate.
* Despite his profession in piracy, Rayvis is not above hiring bounty hunters into his services, so long as they prove themselves to be capable and effective in the Gen'dai's eyes. That said, most bounty hunters were either not too interested or were in opposition due to Rayvis's tyranny in Koboh, though that didn't stop him from trying to confront them out of a sense of interest. Samus Aran was one such hunter that intrigued him, given her own reputation as a dreaded enemy to Ridley's space pirates as well as proving herself a mighty warrior in the cosmos of her own galaxy as well as the Pantheon. Samus first encountered the Gen'dai during an investigation against Dagan, which resulted in the two coming to blows. Despite a grueling fight, Rayvis commended Samus's tenacity and equipment, even if the bounty hunter wasn't interested in his praises. Knowing that Dagan would need him and that being a Pantheon deity meant he would be revived if killed, Rayvis made a retreat, stating that he’s got what he needed; intel of his opponent and to better prepare against her. Hearing the exploits of Boba Fett has also intrigued the Gen’Dai and looks forward to encountering him at some point, given the general reputation of Mandalorians, though Boba personally has no interest in dealing with Rayvis, mainly because of his own priorities of having to deal with his own coven and business.
* The Pantheon consisted of a vast field of space, much grander than his native galaxy had presented, and alongside it, a wealth of battles and conflicts. However, while Rayvis seeks battle, he's not an advocate of war. If anything, he finds them to be more tiresome and bereft of any dealing reward or meaning than anything else. With this in mind, he doesn't show an interest in the House of Pantheon/MilitaryAndWarfare as much as he would for the other combat-based Houses, claiming that they do not align with his interests and expressing his disillusionment towards wars. This also made him personally separated from the many conflicts that the Pantheon has seen and continues to endure as Rayvis feels that their goals ultimately don't align with what he desires and it's only because of Dagan and his newfound allies that the Gen'dai ever really gets involved in anything regarding wars. This didn't stop him from getting involved in the Eliksni and the Thraddash, two alien species who had a tendency to follow those based purely on strength and martial leadership. Rayvis's leadership and a promise to keep them strong and active managed to win some Eliksni into his services, yet the Gen'dai was surprised to see himself killing a number of Thraddash, only for several to end up pledging to his servitude in response. The Gen'dai decided to accept this, though mainly because he feels that it would encourage the might of his forces, but does retain his cautiousness as he would prefer to use as little of the Thraddash as possible, knowing that they're easily susceptible to joining another side of an opposing party proves more powerful than him.
* Given his presence during the High Republic Era, he's more than familiar with the Jedi, though not too much when it comes to the Sith, who were in hiding until the sudden emergence of Darth Maul back in Tatooine during the then-upcoming Battle of Naboo. Having killed a number of Jedi back in his old days, Rayvis is eager to challenge them but finds disappointment in that most would not want to kill him and that they would rather try to keep him imprisoned than actually give him a death befitting of a warrior. From a challenger perspective, Rayvis finds abnormally powerful and skilled Jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu to be someone he would consider a credible threat, but he seems to enjoy his duels against Luke Skywalker above anyone else, considering the latter's reputation as among the strongest of the Jedi and would just as openly express his respects for Cal, should they ever meet again. Regarding the Sith, Rayvis is more wary of them, aware that they would use underhanded tactics to try to kill him, and considers Palpatine to be a dishonorable ruler and a good reason for why he's since seen warfare as undesirable, clearly voicing his opposition against the Galactic Empire for viewing pirates like him as disposable scum and against what they see as "order", which the Gen'dai clearly sees as blatant dishonesty. Regardless, a few Sith, like Maul and Vader are worthy of Rayvis's respect, though he admits that they would be far more of a match against him and takes the opportunity to avoid them unless he really has to fight them, even if Rayvis would admit to entertain the idea of clashing against some of the Galaxy's most dreaded.
* The fact that there are several heroes and villains in the cosmos of the Pantheon was an entertaining sight for Rayvis; it meant a lot of opponents to test his mettle on and just as much on the recruitment side of things. Though given he personally would rather sit out whatever grand war is going on, even if it's in a stalemate, Rayvis is content with just learning and fighting whoever interests him, though he'll be just as willing to serve whatever purposes Dagan gives him in the event their plans are being challenged by someone. Rayvis has battled a Green Lantern, namely Simon Baz, as well as Commander Shepard and Master Chief, eventually having a positive opinion over their combat capabilities and reputation. He's not too fond of the space-based Power Rangers and the Space Sheriffs, feeling that while he doesn't mind taking on a team, he finds it disappointing how they would rather try to capture him, fully aware that at least the Rangers are capable of destroying their foes from existence and wants them to face the Gen'dai in lethal combat, feeling that an honorable death is most necessary in such occasions. Even on the villain side, Rayvis is wary and knows that certain beings wouldn't be worth working under. For one, while Frieza and Cooler might be space pirates in all but name and occupation, Rayvis finds their power and malice a bit much for him to tolerate, given that he went and learned about what he did to the Saiyans, a warrior race that Rayvis would entertain the idea of meeting one day, and is pretty much on Master Chief's side that the Flood is better off being stopped at all costs. At the very least, Rayvis doesn't want to see the universe being devoid of life and everything under the control of a singular being in some fashion.
** Rayvis has battled Ratchet and Clank on a number of occasions, mainly because the duo have found themselves being tangled in investigating Dagan's schemes, which would naturally involve the Gen'dai in some capacity. Despite this enmity, Ratchet doesn't really have any deep animosity towards him, especially as he and Clank have given a few quips during the times they've battled Rayvis. If anything, the Gen'dai just finds the two of them to be a surprise; he didn't expect a feline-like creature and a tiny droid to match his expectations, let alone fight him, but so far, he's impressed. Unfortunately, these fights motivated the Gen'dai to consider his existing tech after seeing how formidable Ratchet and Clank's weaponry and gadgets were, much to their shock and dismay. Rayvis expects them to fight them in a stronger state regardless but holds a measure of respect for how they've come close to matching his strength and tenacity. Speaking of, this caught the attention of Gleeman Vox, who entertains the idea of bringing Rayvis in for the latest showcase of his [=DreadZone=] competitions. Rayvis is aware of Vox's plans, but scoffs them, seeing it as too vain and dishonorable for his liking and feeling that Vox himself is too slimy if the only reason Rayvis is being invited is for revenge against Ratchet and Clank, whom the Gen'dai would rather state is more worthy of his attention than Vox ever is.

* Opposes: [[Pantheon/TortureAndMutilation Euron Greyjoy]]
* Risky Boots is a feared pirate captain that leads her Tinkerbat crew against Shantae and her friends. She might not be able to use magic, but with her brains, crewmen, and trusted blade she is none the less a dangerous foe of the half-genie hero. Despite her strings of defeat at the hands of the half-genie runt Shantae, the scourge of the seven seas refused to admit defeat to her [[ArchEnemy main enemy]], plotting her ascension into the Pantheon's fabled home of pirates.
** While she simply scoffed at Rottytops ascending, she was actually furious when she learned that, [[SpannerInTheWorks because of Rotty and her heralds' actions]], they saved Shantae from being consumed by her polarized dark magic. Risky will make sure that Rotty will be spanked extra hard, before being deprived of her precious coffee and turn into a "good, nasty" zombie like the rest of her non-sentient kind. Though as shown in ''Seven Sirens'' with the entire Half-Genie Festival trap, she is willing to use her enemies [[BatmanGambit to place herself in a better position]].
* Brandishing her title, status, and role as pirate queen she met all sorts of rogues and thieves in the house that Risky feels like she belongs in. Many deities considering her both a rival and ally in crime, even wanting her to join in for a bottle of rum as [[PirateSong they sing about the pirate's creed]] till the night is done in the docks of the Pantheon.
* Naturally, she wasn't thrilled about seeing that genie runt Shantae again knowing she would do everything in her power to stop Risky's overall dream of domination over the seas. While having been defeated a few times that would not deter Risky Boots; giving up so easily isn't what feared pirates do after all!
* She is aware of how easily men are distracted by her choice of clothing or rather a lack of it flaunting her curves to easily seduce idiotic pervs knowing they aren't aware of how dangerous she truly can be. Just ask her former master [[spoiler: whose very skull is now her own bra]].
** Naturally, the latest attempt to corrupt the Genie World with dark magic puts her in opposition with several other genies such as Aladdin's friend and the Magi who can't believe how far Risky would go in order to defeat Shantae once and for all including nearly corrupting her. Risky doesn't care who gets in her way but eventually will crush any god or genie who defies the Queen of Pirates.
* Edward wasn't sure if he could trust Risky considering what happened with her former master, so they both agreed that they would only aid one another against their enemies that would be the genie girl, Luffy, and the rest of the Straw Hats. Afterward, the matter of the treasures locked up in the Pantheon could be split between then both...at least that is what they agreed upon not meaning it would actually happen.
** Donflamingo, on the other hand simply saw Risky as another potential member of his family not wanting her to be above the (former) King of Dressrosa. They were at odds with one another, but Risky does admit she isn't fond of Luffy's crew much like Donflamingo.
** Not only does the Straw Hat crew loathe Risky Boots, but another woman claiming to be a ruler of the seas has also voiced disapproval of Shantae's main adversary. In fact, the only female Warlord of the Sea refused to let some second-rate pirate steal her place as the Pirate '''Empress''' of the Pantheon.
* After making allies with fellow pirate captains K.Rool and Hook, she wanted to begin a new kind of crew of several criminals [[TheChessmaster united in order to seize power, treasure, and dominance]] over the enemies of such hated pirates like Donkey Kong and that "blasted" Peter Pan.
* Striking another ally with the leader of Team Aqua, she wanted Archie's help in [[OlympusMons controlling Kyogre]] however he isn't going to let her in on that secret for his own benefit.
* Risky does welcome an opponent [[WorthyOpponent like Shantae despite her persistence on beating her]], so when Isabela challenged the Tinkerbat Captain to a duel, she accepted planning the sword battle only to lose. This likely wouldn't be the last time they would face each other, as Risky's pride was something she had to uphold above all else.
* While she is at odds with Elizabeth and Will for being a ruthless pirate who is willing to endanger anyone for her goals, the nefarious Captain Jack Sparrow likes her spunk and grit. In fact, his offer to a playful "date" surprised some in the Pantheon considering the differences between both captains of the sea. While she turned him down he did leave a lasting impression on Risky while threatening to cut off his hand for stealing some gems from her ship.
** As for Dave Jones, a tense situation was felt when he threatened to [[FlyingDutchman make her join his locker for all eternity]] if she crossed him. Risky felt a familiar sensation from her past when she had to put up with her former captain before helping Shantae put him down for good.
** [[EvenEvilHasStandards She is also very much against being in any kind of alliance with Euron Greyjoy]] once he admitted that he would likely end up sacrificing her once their partnership was done.
* Triton wasn't ever fond of pirates in the first place, and when his wife had been killed by a pirate ship his heart seemingly closed on the human world. After learning about Risky's attempted kidnapping of Ariel and Melody there were [[PapaWolf many bolts of lightning being cast in the house that the king resided in]].
* She isn't respected by any marine deities in the Pantheon such as Akainu or Popeye.

* Our tale is one of adventure, deception... and pirates. [[KidHero Jim Hawkins]] and his companions, Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney, had acquired a treasure map leading to the treasure of the notorious pirate, Captain Flint and were looking for a crew to sail across the Atlantic to recover it. Their search brought them to Bristol, where they found the man for such a task; a hardworking but charismatic sailor with [[PirateTropes a talking parrot, thick sailor's accent and a notably absent left leg.]] This was Long John Silver, and he was hired to serve as the cook aboard the ''Hispaniola''. He proved his worth though aboard the schooner, helping the Squire recruit a hardy crew and serving as a mentor and father figure to young Hawkins. [[DevilInPlainSight But his friendly demeanour hid a terrible secret.]] Silver was in truth a ruthless and cunning pirate, former quartermaster to Captain Flint, and the crew ''he'' helped hired were loyal to him. They had a simple plan in mind; mutiny. '''[[note]] More specifically, once the Hispaniola reached the island and the treasure was obtained, the pirates would launch a mutiny and kill the sailors loyal to Captain Smollett.[[/note]]''' Unfortunately for them, Hawkins had overheard their plan and alerted his friends of Silver's treachery. When they reached the island though, that's when things got interesting.
** Silver's men launched the mutiny and took over the ship before attempting to kill Smollett and his loyalists, which didn't end well for the pirates. Silver and Smollett's groups eventually came to a truce, wherein the pirates acquired the map from the loyalists. With the map in hand, and Hawkins as a hostage, Silver led the remaining crew in search of the treasure... only to discover the cache to be empty. The infuriated pirates were about to turn on Silver and Jim, but the pair were saved by Smollett's officers, along with marooned sailor Ben Gunn. Turns out that Ben had moved the treasure a long time ago, keeping it safe in his home cave. Silver, though alive, was defeated. Smollett's crew took him as their prisoner, '''[[note]] along with Flint's trove,[[/note]]''' before departing the island for England. But Silver was a clever man, and one night, he escaped with a portion of the treasure, never to be seen again...
* The House of Food was busy as ever, the restaurants, bars and other establishments providing exquisite dishes to customers great and small. But one day, a strange new tavern opened in the port sector. It was called the ''Spy-Glass'', and it was here that one Jack Sparrow'''[[note]]''Captain'' Jack Sparrow,[[/note]]''' stopped in to get some rum. He noticed a peculiar man in the corner preparing some food, muttering an old shanty to himself. “Fifteen men on the dead man’s chest— Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!” Then Jack noticed a few [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinea_(coin) Guineas]], along with a bottle of rum, sitting unattended on the bar, right by a ragged old parrot. Jack attempted to steal the coins and rum, but the bird alerted its master, who turned to confront the savvy pirate. The two engaged in a battle of wits, with Sparrow trying to manipulate the old sea cook into letting him take his prize, while the old sailor blocked every attempt made. Eventually, the two drew their weapons - a sword for the sea cook and a flintlock for Sparrow. For a moment, no one made a move... until the old man began to laugh. He was genuinely impressed by Captain Sparrow's quick mind and tongue and tossed him the coins before properly introducing himself. He was Long John Silver, the only man Captain Flint ever feared, and as of a few weeks prior, a god within the Pantheon, citing how he helped shaped how [[PirateStories people have seen pirates in popular culture.]] Jack was impressed by this boast, though he was a little miffed he didn't get the rum. He promised to duel Silver another time... preferably upon the open sea.
* Silver's temple leads to two places; the first is the ''Spy-Glass'' tavern, a shady, rundown establishment in 18th century Bristol. It's the place where [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TktTeF3PaY Silver first met Jim Hawkins]] and where he was hired by the Squire to begin with. He frequents this temple the most when not on the sea, entertaining patrons with tall tales about his time with Captain Flint or serving up authentic period dishes. The other location Silver's temple leads to is the island where Flint's treasure was buried, a small spit of land nestled in the Caribbean. Silver rarely visits the island, even with the remaining treasure still waiting to be obtained. It's unknown why Silver left the treasure be. Some claim he was content with the treasure he had stolen after leaving the island, while others say he didn't want to attract too much attention to his own endeavours. But if you chose to ask Silver himself, he will say he's had enough of that wretched island. Whether or not this is true is up for debate. After all, it can be hard to trust the words of a pirate.
* Like many in the Pantheon, Long John's appearance changes depending on what timeline he last visited, sometimes looking radically different than originally seen. He's most often seen as a middle-aged man, with a grizzled appearance and demeanour. But this can vary greatly; sometimes he resembles [[Film/TreasureIsland1990 Charlton Heston]], other times he'll look like either [[Film/TreasureIsland1934 Wallace Beery]], [[Film/TreasureIsland1950 Robert Newton]] [[Film/MuppetTreasureIsland or Tim Curry]]. On rare occasions, he will take on more animated identities, appearing as an [[WesternAnimation/TheLegendsOfTreasureIsland sly, anthropomorphic fox]] or as an [[WesternAnimation/TreasurePlanet ursine alien cyborg]]. Whatever form Silver takes on, he remains a cunning adversary to anyone who crosses his path.
** It was in his Tim Curry persona that Silver first crossed paths with [[Pantheon/TheatricVisuals Kermit the Frog]] and the other Muppets. He initially assumed Kermit was Captain [[AdaptationNameChange Abraham]] Smollett and challenged him to another duel. Kermit did what any amphibian would do.. and bravely ran away, leading Silver into a trap set up by the other Muppets in their theatre. Once subdued, Kermit explained to Silver he wasn't Smollett, but they were looking for a pirate to be a part of their upcoming show. The Captain wasn't much of a professional actor... but he accepted, allowing him to perform with Miss Piggy before a sold-out auditorium. The reviews came in not long after, and Silver became an overnight sensation; a "professional pirate" as some call him. After that, the Sea Cook keeps in touch with Kermit and gang... while secretly rebuilding his crew with a few of the Muppet performers, such as Bad Polly, Mad Monty, and Clueless Morgan.'''[[note]]Huh?[[/note]]'''
* Silver was quick to discover there were many other pirates in the Pantheon. Some were treasure-hungry swashbucklers like himself, while others are more heroic and only steal from other criminals. There are even those who don't follow the general depiction of a pirate, something that threw Silver off a few times. Silver often wishes for the old days of piracy, when "gentlemen of fortune" would sail the high seas looking for booty to loot. This led him to form alliances with several Pantheonic pirates. Edward Kenway, a former Privateer for the British Navy, has come to respect Silver and his exploits and will sometimes stop by his tavern to relax and get some food. He's also become friendly rivals with Risky Boots, the captain of the Tinkertub, the gun-totting outlaw Yosemite Sam, who sometimes appears as a pirate, the clumsy but good-natured Pirate Captain, who managed to thwart even Queen Victoria, and the admittedly insane Kaptain K. Rool. Then there are the pirates seeking the legendary One Piece. Marshall D. Teach, the notorious Blackbeard, found Long John to be a worthy opponent and keeps an eye on him. Meanwhile, there's Gol D. Roger, the original owner of the One Piece, who dared Silver to find his way to the Grand Line and acquire his treasure. Silver has considered hunting down the One Piece if only to prove he is worthy of being the King of Pirates. But for the time being, he's biding his time, waiting for the competition to die down.
* When it comes to enemy pirates, Silver has quite a few adversaries to worry about. The Straw Hats, enemies of Marshall D. Teach, encountered Silver while seeking the One Piece and were nearly tricked to let the Sea Cook serve on their ship. They saw through it and after a brief duel, Silver was forced to retreat. They've been enemies since then. This extends to the Straw Hats' fellow rivals, the Gokaiger. Silver had acquired a chest from a travelling merchant and was confronted by the Gokaiger. In the ensuing fight that followed they discovered the chest had several Ranger Keys inside, instead of treasure like Silver had assumed. Silver made it out with two [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/powerrangers/images/8/86/Zenkaizer_key.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20210827174823 Ranger]] [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/powerrangers/images/4/44/Twokaizer_Ranger_Key.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20220315123649 Keys]] and it not intending on giving them up to the Gokaiger. Silver has also had to contend with the anchor-wielding May, who has no interest in Long John's flattery and lies, the half-genie hero Shantae, who distrusts Long John just as much as she distrusts her old enemy Risky Boots, and the incredibly strong Popeye who while not a pirate is still a powerful sailor man with a little experience fighting pirates. But chief among Long John's new-found adversaries were William Turner and his wife Elizabeth. They were old friends of Jack Sparrow and weren't too keen on having Silver around to harm them or their son "Henry". The fact that Elizabeth is the Pirate King didn't sit well with Long John, so he recognizes her as his superior. So long as he doesn't have to deal with the Turners, Silver has little to worry about... but if they get involved, Jack Sparrow will be close behind.
** But not every pirate was so easy to deal with. The ruthless Black Manta, a modern pirate who is more obsessed with killing Aquaman, quickly rubbed Silver the wrong way. A proper pirate shouldn't be so fixated on revenge and Manta's brutal tactics didn't sit well with Long John, so he keeps a healthy distance from the supervillain. Even worse than Manta is the vampiric pirate king Luthor Harkon. The sadistic AxCrazy bloodsucker met Silver one time and nearly decimated the one-legged man's crew in a brutal battle. Silver was able to escape with a few survivors and stays as far from Harkon as possible. No amount of cunning and manipulation can stop Harkon's bloodlust and carnage, so Silver has been forced to call upon [[EnemyMine Jack Sparrow, Will and Elizabeth Turner]] for help, knowing the three have experience dealing with undead pirates. The four have agreed to an alliance should the Pirate King of Lustria unleash hell upon the Pantheon's high seas.
* While it's been said that Silver was the only man Flint ever feared, rumours persist that Silver himself feared another. Captain James Hook. The latter has boasted his superiority over the one-legged man, challenging him to duels whenever they cross paths. Silver on the other hand denies such claims, but should one look closely, the old Sea Cook shows a twinge of hesitation in fighting Hook. Nevertheless, the two have crossed blades from time to time, usually ending in a draw. But this doesn't faze Silver. Once and a while, he'll get the upper hand... by throwing Hook overboard to the crocodile waiting down below. He often gets a laugh from Hook's humiliation.
** Silver doesn't just have to deal with Captain Hook. Ever since he first lay sights on Neverland, Silver and his ragtag crew have had troubles with Peter Pan, a flying trickster with a love for adventure. And fighting pirates. Pan takes every opportunity to mess with Silver's crew, even leading them on fake treasure hunts just so he and the Lost Boys can ambush them. Silver though quickly caught on to Pan's tricks, and attempted to capture his friends Wendy, John and Michael. This crossed the line for Peter, who swooped him to save his London-based friends. Truth be told, Silver wasn't going to hurt the children, but the incident caused Silver and Peter to cross blades many times afterwards. The only they're ''not'' trying to fight each other is whenever Hook gets involved.
* Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy have not met Long John Silver on their travels, but they quickly learned about him thanks to Peter Pan and Jack Sparrow. They encountered the old pirate in the Pantheon in his cyborg incarnation and were initially shocked that he could summon Heartless to fight for him. After a quick battle, Silver was bested and the Heartless vanished... as did Silver. The next time they met, Silver claimed he wasn't in the mood for a fight and that he changed his tune. But Sora and his friends were still wary. They didn't see any Heartless around which they were thankful for but they didn't want to take any chances.
* It should be noted that Silver is at perhaps his kindest whenever he is a cyborg. In this, Silver led a crew of alien pirates in seeking out the fabled "Treasure Planet", only to befriend the young Jim Hawkins. He was able to escape captivity and after giving Jim a tearful farewell, continued seeking fortune elsewhere. Many of the Disney villains in the Pantheon find Silver as a cyborg to be "in danger of going soft." He dismisses these claims, but it's hard to hide the truth. Ever since his time with Hawkins, Silver tries not to harm the Pantheon's children. Along with the aforementioned Wendy, John and Michael, he's become acquainted with a pair of siblings named Jack and Annie Smith. They were initially wary of the pirates, thanks to an encounter with [[https://magictreehouse.fandom.com/wiki/Pirates_Past_Noon Captain Bones]], but Silver admired their tenacity and courage, so he makes sure not to mess with them. That being said, Silver isn't a nice guy by any means. He's not a pirate for nothing. However, sometimes he'll lend some old-fashioned wisdom to those who need it, ''then'' he'll try and rob you.
* While looking for new ventures and exploits, Silver heard rumours of a "Pirate's Silver" in a far-off world. Curious, he sought out those who knew about this treasure, leading him to a young Waterbender named Katara. He initially thought she was a naive goody-two-shoes who he could steal from. Except it didn't work out that way. She sent his crew overboard before ''robbing him''. As she put it, [[Recap/AvatarTheLastAirbenderTheWaterbendingScroll "Stealing is wrong... unless it's from pirates."]]
** Silver dug a little deeper into Katara's history with pirates. Turns out she once aided a [[https://avatar.fandom.com/wiki/Katara_and_the_Pirate%27s_Silver pirate crew]] aboard the ''Flying Wolfbat'' during the Hundred Year War, helping to deliver what turned out to be medicine to poor Earth Kingdom villagers... all in exchange for Silver Lillies. Long John was admittedly disappointed by the revelation but he can respect a pirate who fights for their homeland. Katara, on the other hand, doesn't like Silver one bit. Sure, he can be honourable at times but she's had enough experience with pirates to know he's a ruthless killer who would slit his mother's throat for a gold piece. She's stayed away from him as a result and should they cross paths, she just freezes his ship to keep from going anywhere.
* One day, A strange man entered the "Spy-Glass" looking for some food and drink. He was accompanied by a red and blue parrot with a loud-mouthed personality and a foul temper. These two individuals, Cassim and Iago, had come from Agrabah to seek new fame and fortune in the Pantheon. Silver was quick to capitalize on this. He became acquainted with Cassim and Iago, offering to help them obtain treasures beyond their wildest dreams. Cassim admitted he almost had a treasure like that - the Hand of Midas - but choose to throw it into the sea after realizing he already had a priceless treasure; his son Aladdin. Silver can respect a man who loves his son, and vows to help Cassim make the most of his time in the Pantheon. As for Iago? Silver tries to keep his parrot, Captain Flint, from arguing with the big-mouthed bird all too much. That, and he knows not to feed Iago crackers.
* Silver has seen many worlds following his ascension, but the one he shows the greatest hesitation in exploring is the World of Ice And Fire. It wasn't because it lacked riches - far from it - he's often seen in the Free Cities of Pentos making a profit as a "privateer for hire". But when it comes to Westeros, that's where he draws the line. The realm is a promising prospect, especially since the numerous wars have weakened its defences and opened the door to piracy. But the Seven Kingdoms have their own pirates; chief among them Euron Greyjoy of the Iron Islands. The Iron Men have always been raiders and scoundrels but Euron's own cruelty, lust for power and connections to dark magic made Silver rather uncomfortable. It didn't help that Euron tried to kill Silver and his crew when they first crossed paths.
** On the other side of the spectrum is Stannis Baratheon. The Lord of Dragonstone may have pirates and smugglers in his employment, but he is a stern believer in hard justice and has no time for Silver and his shenanigans. Stannis has declared Silver an enemy of the realm and intends on capturing and executing the pirate for his crimes. As a result, Ol' Long John stays well and truly far away from Westeros. At the very least though, Silver is on good terms with Stannis' second-in-command, Davos Seaworth, who was once a smuggler before being knighted. They don't often meet but they're usually seen at the ''Spy-Glass'' discussing their many adventures... at least until Stannis comes calling, that is.

* Polly Pringle is an ordinary girl who was sent to a boarding school due to her father's occupation as a respectable member of an alternate Victorian version of San Francisco. Polly initially appears to be someone who doesn't have ambition and is content with being a normal, proper lady, that is until she suddenly finds herself in the captivity of a pirate gang. Shocked and confused, Polly attempts to return to her boarding school, only to realize that the pirates reveal that her mother Meg Mallory wasn't a proper lady like Polly had imagined, but was instead a famed pirate who suddenly disappeared, and Polly rejected the idea of following in her mother's supposed footsteps. However, after some convincing from an author and pirate enthusiast Professor Filbert R. Swoon, quartermaster Seamus "Scrimshaw" [=MacGillicuddy=], and finding a budding rival in another pirate names Claudio who is known as the son of the Pirate King, Polly is forced to step up and take her mother's place as the new captain for her crew. She quickly proved herself to be a worthy successor, outsmarting Claudio and winning the trust and respect of her mother's crew with Polly herself developing a sense of ambition as well as a new understanding of her mother.
* With her success and the discovery of a surprising history regarding her mother, Polly ended up with a fascinating story for herself and a nice successor to what her mother left behind. This would come to a head when Polly ended up receiving a message that read that she was selected to be a part of something that read in jumbled phrasings that she initially found some trouble solving. Even so, she carried on with it thanks to the support and aid her pirate crew provided, which ended with her uncovering the word "Pantheon" as well as a map marked with a set of directions that supposedly led to a treasure. Though the journey proved to be tough, Polly managed to make it, only to discover that there wasn't actually any treasure there. Initially annoyed, she soon discovered something she wouldn't have expected; a swirling form of energy that she couldn't guess. She was further surprised when a crow emerged from it, confirming that this may be a gateway of sorts. She led her pirates inside where Polly discovered that she was someplace else and panicked for a while, not expecting to be out of the treasure spot so quickly. Eventually, she would discover that what "Pantheon" meant was a whole new world and that the letter was an invitation. Polly had a mix of emotions about what to make of the situation but decided that something good may come out of the Pantheon if possible, considering her crew was eager for the idea of more adventures and treasures.
* Polly is unusual amongst the ascended Pirates of the Pantheon in that she isn't just a girl, but she's also just a child, something that gets a lot of people puzzled. In Polly's defense, she didn't ask to be a pirate in the first place and would rather remain an elegant ProperLady like how she believed her mother to be. Despite this, she ended up being surprisingly competent and successful in what she does and that was enough for many to see her as a good successor to her mother. While not exactly heroic, Polly is one of the more non-confrontational pirates; sure she is open to the idea of getting along with her wacky crew mates, finding treasures that tie to her mother's past odyssey, and being a frightful figure to those who underestimate her for being a child, but by daytime, she's either with her father, or in her boarding school. Amusingly, many in the Pantheon are not aware of Polly's double life and assume her civilian side to just simply be the daughter of a successful man who wants to lead a mundane life goal. Polly doesn't mind that and, if anything, it allows her to comfortably sift between her identities without much worry and hassle, which greatly helps in an occupation like piracy.
* During one of her pirate endeavours, Polly stumbled across Peter Pan flying around a particularly odd-looking island that she took interest in exploring. Initially, Peter took Polly as a threat and confronted her at her ship, with Peter expressing surprise that the pirate Captain was a child, leading Polly to snark at Peter's bewilderment, to which he responded with a chicken. The two ended up bantering at each other before Peter threw a trick and flew off, at Polly's confusion. Two two would meet again when Polly ended up in a scuffle against Captain Hook a couple of days later, with Peter getting to observe much of the fight, which concluded with Polly outwitting and frustrating the villainous pirate Captain to retreat. Peter was impressed by what Polly was capable of, though given his own experience with pirates, he wasn't quite too ready to be friends with her. Still, Polly made it clear that she doesn't really have anything against Peter, so she doesn't concern herself too much with him. That said, the two kids have come to at least appreciate each other's snark and wit, and Peter eventually becoming more comfortable with Polly commuting to his domain once in a while. Still, Polly is puzzled by Peter's never-aging nature, thinking that remaining a child forever isn't something she's excited about as it would stop her from being a proper lady if it meant not growing up, much to Peter's own dismay, who thinks Polly is already proper enough.
* She's an accomplished treasure hunter, and while this is to be expected for seasoned pirates, it's notable in Polly's case as she achieves this during childhood. And in spite of not wanting to be recognized for said feats, she still attracts attention from budding treasure hunters who see her as a rival. Amusingly, many are not really aware that Polly is a child and tend to be flabbergasted upon learning of such. She once stumbled across Rafe Adler, who was still obsessed with his pursuit of Libertalia, in spite of it now being meaningless. Rafe decided not to attack Polly, even trying to persuade her to tag along with him and search for treasury together by offering a large sum of money. Polly wasn't fooled and quickly debunked Rafe by defeating and humiliating him. An embarrassed Rafe has since been a lot harder towards Polly since. On the other hand, Nathan Drake was surprised to learn of Rsfe's most recent defeat by a pirate and though retired from treasure hunting, he was open to the idea of meeting Polly. The two have responded with a collection of snarks and remarks, but they respect each other for their wit and the effort they put into their field of work.
* She came to learn about the Straw Hat Pirates rather quickly, thanks to their fantastical adventures and the many troubles they faced with other, more unscrupulous pirates and the World Government, who were just as unscrupulous. She was initially cautious about encountering their captain, Luffy, but the two actually ended up getting along, especially with Luffy naturally being friendly and protective of children. The other Straw Hats particularly Zoro, Usopp, and Chopper also came to like Polly due to her natural skill as a pirate and combatant, being a good leader, and being well-behaved and affable in spite of her dry snark. That said, she doesn't hang out with the Straw Hats all too often, though this is mainly because of the trouble that they've gotten themselves involved in throughout their journey for One Piece and while Polly is a capable pirate in her own right, they think she'll still be in danger due to the nature of several pirates being superhuman thanks to Devil Fruits and how several pirates and even governments are willing to take extreme actions to get what they want. Even then, Polly is content enough to just stick to finding treasures and roaming seas that she feels catch her interest.
** By extension, Polly also learned about the World Government, Marines, and the World Nobles and many of the Straw Hat members urged her to be careful of them, especially considering how extreme the former two can be about dealing with piracy and the latter for abusing their authority so much that they would kill anybody for simply passing them by, unwittingly or not. She's not one to show fear, but she did heed their advice especially when it came to Sakazuki, the Fleet Admiral of the World Government who made it his life's goal to kill as many pirates as he can under the order of "Absolute Justice", which Polly quickly saw as complete bullshit considering the extremes he takes in confronting and destroying pirates. That said, not every member of the World Government and Marines are bad, as Smoker had demonstrated. While he would oppose pirates, he mainly aims to capture them and has a soft spot for kids. As a result, Polly's precocious age means Smoker tends to hold himself back whenever he has to deal with her and would rather not fight her. Polly would rather do just that and had managed to evade Smoker's capture rather often. Smoker has admitted that he could easily capture Polly, but he would rather retrain himself from going extreme, not to mention he wants to clear his objective as effectively and morally as he could through his belief in "Moral Justice". And of course, there are the usual bad pirates like Blackbeard and Buggy, though given how those two tend to mind their own business in wanting to fulfill their ambitions, Polly still takes the government and their authority more seriously.
* While their professions are different, Polly would someday stumble across Lemeza and Lumisa Kosugi, a father-daughter duo who went on an adventure to discover ancient historical lands, though both went in their explorations separately, with Lemeza venturing to La-Mulana, where the supposed beginning of civilization took place while Lumisa went to Eg-Lana. That, and their resulting adventures somehow ended up with them saving humanity whilst discovering whatever treasure they found. While parents are an obvious involvement in their tales, Polly's felt more personal, despite the smaller stakes, but she wasn't too concerned with the discovery of a place where society was birthed, sometimes snarking that everyone back in those old days must have just minded their own business and preferred going off on their own. She does get along with Lumisa with the two finding a sense of respect for their talents and Polly even got to find Lemeza somewhat appreciative. While their professions don't really mesh well, the three of them would like to make plans for a cosy visit and reminisce about their habits and interests.
* In spite of her fairly ordinary upbringing, Polly usually remains unfazed by all the fantastical and even zany elements that come from being a pirate, if her experience with Peter Pan and Luffy has shown. Still, she does express some surprise, though she usually keeps quiet about it and would rather snark at the occasion. Undead pirates were something that she quickly figured was rather a cliche to come across, but it didn't stop her from encountering Jack Sparrow and Guybrush Threepwood, both of whom had clashed against such. It's one of the few times that Polly openly expresses an interest in participating in something pirate-related, but Jack and Guybrush would rather tell her that it may be too risky to get involved with the undead, with Polly just snarking it off. Even so, Jack and Guybrush were impressed by Polly's aloof, sarcastic nature and expressed a strong desire to get something done, with both admitting that she could have made a great crew member. All three of them often snark at each other, with Polly directing much of her snide remarks at Guybrush and even being able to see past his facade of being stupid, and they'll generally help each other if they can, though Polly would rather not be reminded of being too young to deal with undead things, which she got quickly annoyed at.
* With such an unscrupulous occupation, it's no wonder that Polly would end up finding new foes to deal with. One such enemy was Yosemite Sam, who once tried to pose as a pirate in his constant attempts to blast [[Pantheon/LuckAndFortune Bugs Bunny]] to smithereens. Despite his persistence and the occasional infamy, Polly has no respect for him, if mainly because Sam is ineffectual and she has no compunctions about how much he sucks at trying to beat Bugs, knowing that his HairTriggerTemper would result in Sam turning his anger towards her. Not that Polly is afraid of that as she has easily defeated Sam on a number of occasions. However, other pirates like King (or rather, Kaptain) K. Rool, Euron Greyjoy, Black Manta, Cervantes de Leon, and Luthor Harkon were not so incompetent and Polly even admitted to being a bit shaken by them due to the destructive power and fear they possess and she tends to be very careful about them. On a personal note Polly sometimes makes crocodile jokes regarding K. Rool, finds Euron's sadistic tendencies creepy, surprised how Piracy remained a persistent occupation due to Manta's representation in the Pantheon, Cervantes being a former vessel of an [[Pantheon/LivingWeapons evil demonic sword]], and Luthor basically being a vampire pirate, though Luthor is the only one out of the four who expresses any interest in Polly as he thinks she could be a very powerful vampire if ever converted. The other pirates simply see Polly as a nuisance, though they're not above attacking and killing her if she ever gets in the way, and with Polly herself taking measures to prioritize her safety, a battle is unlikely for now.
* At first, she wasn't sure of what to make of Katara. While both were {{Action Girl}}s who were more formidable than one would expect, they don't really have much to relate on and Polly was more likely to snark upon Katara's relationship with her friends and brother [[Pantheon/RangedWeapons Sokka]]. Interest caught on when Polly found out that Katara had some experience with piracy, namely when she stumbled across one named Jiang, who commandeered the Flying Wolfbat and was embroiled in conflict against the Fire Nation. Despite leading a life of crime, Jiang was not without a sense of honour and made Katara an honorary member of her pirate group as they made an attempt to smuggle a sizable supply of medicine to a needy village in the midst of enemy warfare. The tale was impressive according to Polly and made her appreciate Katara more than she expected. Katara expressed surprise about how simple Polly's ambitions were in life despite the extremity of her profession but figured that she wasn't antagonistic and the two girls fairly got along. That said, Polly is not one to fight against Katara's enemies due to her life of piracy, but she has considered that she will try to see if she can help her new friend if possible.
