* One look at Scroop with the rest of the crew is enough to surmise that he's the one you really do not want to be alone with. Michael Wincott's gravelly, raspy voice ain't no slouch, either.
** While we're on the subject of Scroop, on the ship when Jim steps out to shoot at Scroop, the lights suddenly go out, courtesy of B.E.N., who is trying to disable the laser cannons, and the emergency lights turn on, revealing Scroop has disappeared. As Jim looks around, Scroop appears above him about to strike.
--->'''Jim:''' That stupid robot is gonna get us all...[[OhCrap killed...]]\
'''Scroop:''' Cabin boy...
** Really, the whole confrontation between Jim and Scroop. AloneWithThePsycho at its scariest.
** The way he walks resembles a spider, which is not good news to anybody who suffers from arachnophobia.
* In a subtler way, the revelation that Silver is planning treachery (along with either murder or a mass marooning) makes [[BitchInSheepsClothing his pleasant behavior]] quite chilling.
** See how many entries Mr. Scroop has? Yeah, Silver can toss him around like a ragdoll. AffablyEvil he may be, but he's just as cunning and strong as his literary counterpart, and not one to be trifled with. Seeing him truly get ''angry'' at Scroop, without a trace of his customary charm and ease, is pretty unnerving, and an effective reminder that at the end of the day he's a ruthless pirate captain.
--->'''Scroop:''' I say we kill them all now.\
'''Silver:''' ''[Seizes Scroop by the neck]'' "I say"?! What's this "I say"?! Disobey my orders again, like that stunt you pulled with Mr. Arrow, and so help me, you'll be '''''[[SuddenlyShouting JOINING HIM!]]''''' ''[Throws him against a barrel.]''\
'''Scroop:''' Strong talk, but I know otherwise. ''[Reaches into the purp barrel, barely missing Jim.]''\
'''Silver:''' You got something to say, Scroop?\
'''Scroop:''' ''[Holds up a purp unknowingly given to him by Jim]'' It's that boy. Methinks you have a... ''soft [stabs the fruit with a pincer]'' spot for him.\
'''Silver:''' Now, mark me...''the lot o' ya!'' I care about one thing and one thing only: Flint's trove! You think I'd risk it all for some nose-wiping little whelp?\
'''Scroop:''' What was it now? "Oh, you got the makings of greatness in ya!"\
'''Silver:''' [[BigShutUp SHUT YER YAP!]] I only cozied up to that kid to keep him off our scent! ''But I ain't gone soft.''
* Captain Nathaniel Flint himself. His design is of a six-eyed, fanged, clawed alien monster with a personality just as frightening and vile. Later on, the audience is treated with the image of his equally (if not more) terrifying skeleton, rotting away on Treasure Planet and gripping what is essentially B.E.N.'s brain in his decomposing claw.
** TheReveal that Flint knew people were searching for his trove and so rigged Treasure Planet to blow up if anyone else found it. Not only did he ''literally'' die for his treasure, he made sure that it would stay with him, and ''him '''alone'''''.
* In the prologue, Flint's crewmen make [[NightmareFace some very scary faces]] as they board a cruise ship and cut their way through the outnumbered sailors trying to HoldTheLine.
* The way several pirates [[DisneyVillainDeath fall to their deaths]] while chasing the heroes during the mutiny.
* The confrontation between Jim and Silver after Jim overhears the mutiny. As they're both speaking, Silver turns his mechanical arm into a pistol behind his back, apparently intending to shoot Jim.
** However, given how he stopped from shooting Jim when he (along with Captain Amelia and Doppler) were about to escape, it's likely he was just going to scare Jim and/or take him as a prisoner.
*** It's not easy to see at first glance, but pay attention to Silver's face in the background when Jim is reaching for the knife; he has a sad expression as he prepares to point the gun at him.
** Which becomes horrifyingly averted during the destruction of the planet when they confront each other on a ship loaded with gold when he admits to Jim, who is holding a cutlass out to defend himself, that he likes him, but that he's come too far to let Jim stand between him and the treasure. Then he begins moving menacingly toward Jim, who is backed against the helm. Thankfully, they're interrupted by a laser beam knocking them off the ship. This particular scene becomes quite unsettling in the Swedish dub where Sven Wollter as Silver, completely unlike how he had been through the rest of the movie, becomes cold and the line delivery raw as he makes it clear how despite liking Jim, not even he will get between him and his treasure.
** It can also be rather creepy how, when Silver realizes Jim heard them, he instantly switches from the benevolent father-figure he'd been the night before to an intimidating pirate captain, backing Jim into the room as he asks him with a threatening voice if he's "playing games".
* When Scroop is sent flying into space screaming. The look of terror on his face makes it worse. In this reality, space exposure has no environmental considerations such as oxygen or heat -- that makes this fate even more horrific. Scroop will die a terrible, lingering death of eventual thirst and starvation, floating in a void of absolute emptiness.
* Mr. Arrow's death scene, which is even more horrific when you consider he's falling into a black hole. It's been postulated (by Creator/StephenHawking himself no less) that if a person were to enter a black hole, the sheer force of gravity within the singularity would cause them to undergo [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghettification spaghettification]]. Just hearing the name [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin tells you everything you need to know]].
* The climactic scene where Silver has to choose between the treasure and Jim. The fact that Jim is so close to falling and dying a horrible death of being burned alive by the planet's core.
** The audience is previously treated to scenes of some pirates who aren't so lucky and suffer that exact fate.
* It's a FreezeFrameBonus, but when Silver grows impatient and starts zapping through the map portal, one of the worlds he lands on has this colossal, centipede-like [[EldritchAbomination monster]] going on a rampage. [[https://i.imgur.com/NTZZDfN.png It lunges towards the portal with its maw gaping]], and could've reached the crew if Silver hadn't been quick enough to switch.
* Mr. Pigors and Turnbuckle's DisneyVillainDeath when they try to escape Treasure Planet with a chest full of riches, but get swept away by the coins beneath their feet and fall into the planet's molten core, where if you look closely, you can pick out the lava splashing where they land.
