Mojo Nixon (born Neill Kirby [=McMillan=] Jr.; August 2, 1957 – February 7, 2024) was an American {{psychobilly}} musician, probably best known for his irreverent and comedic TakeThat songs about celebrities which earned him acclaim in the 1980s college rock scene and Creator/{{MTV}}, being namedropped in Music/TheDeadMilkmen's hit "Punk Rock Girl"...and for playing Toad in the ''Film/SuperMarioBros1993'' movie.

!!Tropes that apply to Mojo Nixon:
* EightiesHair: Not a fan of the mullet hairstyle, about which he once wrote the song "Don't Want no Foo-Foo Haircut" describing his supposed failed experimentation with the hairstyle.
* BawdySong: Among many others, "Tie My Pecker To My Leg" which, aside from the title, gives us lines such as "Yeah her asshole is tighter than a steel drum/And I'd eat a yard of her shit to watch her cum" and "I need a woman six foot ten/She's gotta be that tall so I can get it all in."
* TheBermudaTriangle: According to "Elvis is Everywhere," Music/ElvisPresley is responsible for all the disappearing vessels here, simply because "Elvis needs boats."
* ChristmasSongs: The Christmas album ''Horny Holidays'' as well as the later single "Christmas, Christmas" which is essentially a Christmas-themed parody of "Louie, Louie."
* CircusOfFear: "Circus Mystery"
* CoverVersion: Several, including Music/DeadKennedys' "Winnebago Warrior," Music/AliceCooper's "Be My Lover," and Music/TheSmiths' "Girlfriend in a Coma," the latter of which contains a long rant poking fun at lead singer Music/{{Morrissey}}.
* CreatorWorship: Invoked in "Elvis is Everywhere" in which Elvis is depicted as a Christ-like deity.
* DigitalPiracyIsEvil: Averted. Mojo, who was a staunch libertarian, strongly supported file-sharing, claiming he wasn't "an asshole like Music/{{Metallica}}" on the matter.
* ElvisHasLeftThePlanet: "Elvis is Everywhere" also claims that all aliens in outer space look like Elvis "because Elvis is a perfect being."
* FiveFiveFive: Averted in "(619) 239-KING," which was an actual phone number supposedly belonging to Elvis which was created to promote the same song.
* GunPorn: In "Where The Hell's My Money," he describes a gun he pulls out in much more detail than the rest of the anecdote.
* LargeHam: Mojo has been compared (by himself) to a cross between Elvis, WesternAnimation/FoghornLeghorn, and Otis Campbell, the town drunk from ''Series/TheAndyGriffithShow''.
* LesserStar: Skid Roper, the folk musician who accompanied Mojo on his first four albums, only penned four songs which were panned by critics.
* NostalgiaFilter: "Lincoln Logs" is a tribute to Skid Roper's favorite childhood toy of the same name.
* OdeToIntoxication: Many, including "Gin Guzzling Frenzy" and the Music/RogerMiller cover "Chug-A-Lug."
* RefugeInAudacity: A lot of his songs, but probably most infamously "Tie My Pecker to My Leg," which references coprophagia, incest bestiality, pedophilia, and so on to the point where an alternate title could be "TheAristocrats: The Song."
* ShoutOut: He has released two musical tributes to fellow satirical country musician and gubernatorial candidate Music/KinkyFriedman, including "Kinky is Everywhere," a rewrite of his hit "Elvis is Everywhere."
* TakeThat:
** One of his music's best known characteristics. [[Music/TheEagles Don Henley]] surprised Mojo by showing up at one of Mojo's concerts and [[ActuallyPrettyFunny offering to perform "Don Henley Must Die" with him]].
** In "Elvis is Everywhere," the one exception to everyone having a little Elvis in them is Creator/MichaelJFox, who is described as "the evil opposite of Elvis: the anti-Elvis." Immediately after this, he adds that "Elvis is in Creator/JoanRivers but he's trying to get out, man!"
* TenMinuteRetirement: In 2003, Mojo declared himself to be retired from the music business. However, six years later, he came out with ''Whiskey Rebellion'' and still toured until his passing.
* VanityLicensePlate: The music video of "Elvis is Everywhere," which was notably featured on ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButthead'', contains one reading "P. ELVIS."
* YourMom: The very first line in "Tie My Pecker to My Leg" is "Me your mama and some other whore."
