Emmure is a {{Deathcore}} band from Connecticut. Originally formed as a project between vocalist Frankie Palmeri and rhythm guitarist Ben Lionetti. The latter left in 2009, as did most of the band. Since then, it has been Palmeri and anyone near him who will play instruments. Emmure began as a pretty straightforward {{Deathcore}} with their 2007 debut album ''Goodbye to the Gallows'', but overtime integrated NuMetal elements in their music, which by 2014's ''Eternal Enemies'', became just as prominent, if not moreso, than the deathcore sound.

In 2015, all current members besides Palmeri left the band, sighting issues with dealing with him. He has since formed a new Emmure with a new set of instrumentalists. [[HereWeGoAgain Yet again]].

!!I'm probably the WORST TROPE YOU EVER HAD!

* TheBandMinusTheFace: {{Averted|Trope}}; technically Emmure now is Glass Cloud with Jerry Roush being replaced by Frankie and a new bassist replacing Phil Lockett.
* DarkerAndEdgier: ''Look at Yourself'' due to strong djent influence caused by Glass Cloud members musically and due to Frankie's attitudes to recent moments in his life and career lyrically.
* {{Djent}}: See above.
* FisticuffProvokingComment: The (perceived) insult from [[Music/TheAcaciaStrain Vincent Bennett]] on "Skynet" (despite Vincent's repeated insistence that the song had nothing to do with him) turned into this. While "[=R2DEEPTHROAT=]" explicitly was a shot at him, Frankie did not stop there, as a stop at Northern Lights in Clifton Park ended with a fistfight between the two that Frankie instigated (the most common recollection being that Frankie confronted Vincent, Vincent laughed and told him to chill out and that he had nothing against him, Frankie sucker-punched Vincent, Vincent warded off Frankie while repeatedly telling him that he wasn't going to fight him, and Frankie upped the ante by putting on knuckledusters, which finally got Vincent to [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown turn Frankie into vanilla pudding]]).
* IAmTheBand: Officially, Emmure is Frankie Palmeri and anyone at the moment who is willing to play instruments for him. The only other consistent member was guitarist Jesse Ketive (who was actually the second guitarist), and he left along with the rest of the band in 2015.
* MinimalisticCoverArt: ''Look at Yourself''. There is only a white background with the band name printed in front while the title of the record's written backwards.
* MinisculeRocking: All but two of their songs (Specifically, "When Everything Goes Wrong, Take the Easy Way Out" and "A Gift a Curse") are under 4 minutes long with plenty of them going under 3 or even 2 minutes.
* NewSoundAlbum: ''Felony'' introduced nu metal elements, such as rapped vocals and downtuned riffs. By ''Eternal Enemies'' it became extremely prominent, with extra aspects added in such as turntable scratching and emphasized electronics. Even their music videos have started to resemble '90s nu metal music videos.
** The latest single "Torch" however seems to have gone back to more of the band's original deathcore style. That is probably very much to do with the fact that apart from Frankie, it is basically an entirely new band.
** ''Look at Yourself'' boasts an enhanced djent influence which stems from the new members' past outfits.
* PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy: Frankie certainly gives off the vibe. Look at [[http://www.metalsucks.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/palmeri.jpg him]].
* RevolvingDoorBand: Just take a look at the members section.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Frankie has been cited as having one, hence why members tend to come and go at a rather quick pace. He would later become cognizant of just how much of an asshole he was and made serious steps to try and change as a person for the better, up to the point where he expressed shame and embarrassment over the vast majority of his lyrics and stated in no uncertain terms that they were the rantings of an angry manchild who couldn't get a grip on his own ego, and almost seemed to express horror at people actually identifying with what he wrote.
* SopranoAndGravel: Normally a one-man variation. Frankie will alternate between singing, rapping (with the song "Shinjuku Masterlord" providing some AWildRapperAppears feel), chanting, screaming, and growling in a moment's notice in most songs.
** "Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle" happens to be more of a clear-cut case. Frankie handles the harsh vocals here alongside Tyler Guida while Karl Schubach of Misery Signals fame provides singing.
* TakeThat: "Shinjuku Masterlord" might have the strongest one.
--> "Do you really think I GIVE A FUCK? Because I don't".
** "[=R2DEEPTHROAT=]" was one for [[Music/TheAcaciaStrain Vincent Bennett]] after Frankie thought that Bennett had insulted him and Emmure on "Skynet" (something Bennett repeatedly and vehemently denied), and it resulted in a full-blown fistfight[[note]]that, by all accounts, Frankie [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown lost badly]] after Vincent tried to talk him out of it, only for Frankie to put on a pair of knuckledusters[[/note]] between the two in 2009 and a subsequent truce.
* TheStoner: The band is known for this, and it is seen in some of their music videos. That said, Frankie stopped smoking weed in 2020, along with going vegan and straight edge.
