''The Weatherman Is My Lover'' (''Tenki Yohou no Koibito'') is a YaoiGenre manga by Madoka Machiko, which was serialized from 2005 to 2008 in ''Asuka Ciel'' and compiled into two volumes.

A romance between a straight-laced newscaster and eccentric weatherman whose [[BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine Boke and Tsukkomi]] antics form the core appeal of their program. Koganei is a talented newscaster whose misstep in covering a conflict-of-interest story got him downgraded to the early bird slot at Chou-Hayaoki TV. Amasawa in contrast is a [[ManicPixieDreamGirl free-spirited]] weather "fairy" on the program who does all his reports in elaborate {{cosplay}}. Under Amasawa's influence, Koganei begins to become more comfortable with his place at Chou-Hayaoki and falls in love with Amasawa, but, despite his apparent outgoing personality, Amasawa persistently keeps everyone at a safe distance.

The first volume covers their [[WorkCom work relationship]] and inevitable romantic one, while the second volume involves another [[TheAce newscaster]] attempting to break them up while Koganei is on a work exchange in America. Overall a light-hearted and sweet Boys' Love story with a charming cast.

!!''The Weatherman Is My Lover'' provides examples of:

%%* AbsenceMakesTheHeartGoYonder: Thankfully it doesn't.
* AStormIsComing: Used both literally and dramatically. Amasawa is perfectly able to predict the typhoon that kills his parents but wasn't able to convince them not to go when he warns them about it.
%%* BenevolentBoss: The crew seems to consider the producer some form of this.
%%* {{Blush Sticker}}s: Amasawa gets them.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Although Amasawa's general behaviour and his odd cosplay habit are actively used to draw in viewers of the program, it is something he seems to do regardless and is also likely what keeps him confined to the early bird program.
* ClosedDoorRapport: Koganei goes to Amasawa's apartment when he skips out from work and they have a heart-to-heart on opposite sides of the door, culminating with Koganei's request, "Won't you let me in? Let me into your heart, Amasawa." Amasawa decides to take his chance.
%%* CosplayOtakuGirl: Amasawa self-identifies as a gender-flipped version.
* DelayedReaction: [[StraightMan Koganei]] pauses unnaturally long twice after Amasawa makes sexual remarks on air. The first time he collects himself and continues as if nothing happened, making his response after the second time that much more satisfying as a proper {{beat}} moment.
* GayAesop: Very, very briefly (and humorously) appears when one of the [=ADs=] asks how they're supposed to act around Koganei and Amasawa now that they know they're together, and the other give a brief TrueCompanions speech
--> "Koganei-san and Chitose-san are both our precious casters! We all love them!! So what if those two discovered that their feelings for each other ran a little deeper? You see some kinda problem with that!?"
%%* GeniusDitz: If weather prediction counts as an area of genius, Amasawa is one.
%%* {{Keet}}: Amasawa.
* HomePornMovie: Filmed by the [=ADs=] not ''quite'' intentionally (see below), which they then sealed off and labelled "forbidden."
* HotSpringsEpisode: In the extras, the cast and crew of the program go to an onsen. The [=ADs=] get the job of [[RatingsStunt secretly recording]] Koganei and Amasawa in hopes of {{fanservice}} shots for the audience. [[HomePornMovie They end up with more than they bargained for]].
* ItsAllMyFault: Amasawa's parents assumed his warnings about the weather were simply a cry for attention. Amasawa still blames himself for not being able to convince them otherwise.
* IWillWaitForYou: A rather mundane version, but Amasawa actually supports Koganei going overseas to work and convinces him that he'll be okay without him and wait for him to come back.
* LonersAreFreaks: Amasawa considers himself this way. Koganei thinks they don't have to be alone.
* LoveRedeems:
-->"You're the one who changed me, Amasawa. And I'm sure you already know...that I'm the one who can help you change."
%%* KimonoFanservice: During the HotSpringsEpisode
%%-->'''Amasawa''': "Cute?"
%%-->'''Koganei''': "Yeah...I mean NO!"
* ManicPixieDreamGirl: Amasawa to Koganei, although he turns out to be more of a StepfordSmiler than he lets on.
* {{Manzai}}: Discussed as being the appeal of the program the characters star in, which would otherwise have very little audience thanks to its timeslot. Amasawa's silly antics are met with no reaction whatsoever by StraightMan Koganei and the audience is anticipating the moment he snaps.
* {{Nosebleed}}: Discussed and PlayedForLaughs. One of the [=ADs=] notes that the group trip is exactly the same as a school trip, except maybe the students who get nosebleeds from overexcitement. Immediately thereafter Koganei thinks through the implications of being at an onsen with Amasawa and has one.
%%* OppositesAttract
* PaperThinDisguise: When Koganei and Amasawa don't show up for work one morning, the backup plan involves [[RuleOfFunny two crewmates and a pair of glasses, wigs, and a cosplay outfit]]. Fortunately for everyone involved they do show up in time.
%%* RomanticFalseLead: Leon.
%%* SpiderSense: Amasawa can predict the weather via his hair.
* StepfordSmiler: Amasawa, whose guilt over his parents' deaths led him to avoid getting close to anyone while maintaining a bright facade.
%%* StoicSpectacles: Koganei.
* StraightMan: Koganei. Borders on OnlySaneMan when the rest of the crew are deprived of sleep and coffee.
* SuperDeformed: While it comes as goes as needed for the most part, the producer of Chou-Hayaoki actually does not seem to exist outside of SuperDeformed mode.
%%* ThoseTwoGuys: The [=ADs=].
