A character somehow ends up with one or more small live animals (or even tiny people) inside their clothing. Naturally, it will cause the character to go crazy over it, twisting, squirming, and grabbing to get whatever's in their clothes out. This trope often appears as ants in one's pants.

Occasionally, their movement and gyrations to get rid of it makes people think that they're dancing. Sometimes, the onlookers join in.

In the North of England, people do this on purpose as performance art. No, we don't get this one either.

This trope is also commonly used in Fanfiction as a form of revenge or pranks against others, or in worst case scenarios, torture or fetish.

Compare to AccidentalTickleTorture, since some cases of this causes its victims to laugh. Compare ColossusClimb due to the similar nature of the trope. Also, expect some kind of OhCrap reaction from the victim when they realize something or someone in their clothes. Also, compare EekAMouse as such a scenario can lead to this trope occurring.

Sometimes this is used as a form of HumiliationConga or as a way to keep a character occupied. Also sometimes overlaps with GroinAttack if the said animal is harming or used to harm the person. If a small animal is entering a person's clothing for the purpose of killing the character, then you're looking at an AnimalAssassin. Though clothing invasion is not necessarily a prerequisite for that trope, they do sometimes overlap.

It's also worth noting that it is not just animals and insects that can perpetrate this trope. As mentioned above, this trope can overlap with Incredible Shrinking Man or Main/Lilliputians if a tiny or shrunken person enters a normal-sized person's clothing. Also, tiny humanoid characters (such as pixies or fairies) might do this to playfully or maliciously torment a character. This can also be done by child-sized characters (like certain elves or dwarves). Can also overlap with ColossusClimb or AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever if normal-sized characters invade a giant's clothes.

Can also occur with TrouserSpace. May be an example of VictoriasSecretCompartment or MarshmallowHell if a tiny character decides to use a woman's cleavage for this purpose.

Also, this trope applies to tiny animals or characters invading another character's clothing. For characters invading another character's body, see FantasticVoyagePlot or OrificeInvasion.

* Fin Fang Foom tried to invoke this in ComicBook/Nextwave by putting Tabitha Smith in his pants. Take note: even if you are a gigantic monster, it's a very bad idea to put a person who can psionically create explosives in your pants.

** The first instance happens when the titular mouse dive bombs into a woman's dress during an auction, leading to one of the two main characters, Lars, sticking his hand down there to grab it. This does lead to her squirming around, though it's unclear if she is reacting to the mouse, his hand, or both.

She asks Ankitha what she fears most and she says ants. Nookalu retrieves an ant off of some food and puts it into Ankithas top (mind you, Ankitha is in a bra and jeans). Ankitha freaks out and begins jumping and itching, causing Simhadri to rush to her. She explains the ant in her bra and he realizes he can’t reach into her top. The ant then come out her top and begins crawling down her stomach. Simhadri prepared to smack it until it crawls into Ankithas jeans. Both Ankitha and Simhadri freak out as Ankitha jumps all around the room. Simhadri shoved her onto the bed and begins tickling and swiping her navel. Ankitha starts laughing and squirming uncontrollably asking why he does this. He explains the ant will think her belly button is jaggery. The ant come out and onto Ankitha's belly. Simhadri finally smacks it.
* The film Film/The First Turn On, uses this trope for an old-fashioned gag. While doing exercises at summer camp, the female instructor tells all the girls to do "exactly as I do." Of course, this is followed by a boy sticking a frog down the back of her shirt, leading to her to freak out, and the rest of the girls follow suit.

She squirms around in her seat a bit then gets up and runs through the classroom trying to get the frog out.
* Several Film/TheThreeStooges shorts make use of this.
** One of the earliest being "Ants in the Pantry" with a mouse down the back of somebody's shirt, leading the Stooges to start doing ThatRussianSquatDance to the rhythm of the victim's hopping.
** One instance was in "Hoi Polloi" when a dancer tries to teach the Stooges how to dance proper, until a bee flies down the back of her dress, leading to hilarity

While driving, she can feel it crawling up her leg inside of her pants. She pulls over to the side of the road, gets out of the car, and starts shaking and wiggling her leg frantically to dislodge the gerbil. A man driving behind her sees this and thinks she is having an epileptic seizure, so he stops, gets out of his car, and pushes her down to the ground in the mistaken belief that this will prevent her from injuring herself. Another man sees this, and he thinks thinks the first man is trying to rape the woman, so he stops, gets out of his car, and goes over and punches out the first man. The law students are then asked: who is legally responsible in this case?

One man, seeing this, thinks she's having a seizure and tries to help her so she won't hurt herself. Then another man sees this, thinks the first man is attacking the woman, stops, and punches him hard enough to break his jaw. All because of a little gerbil.

* The entertainment which periodically comes up in Terry Pratchett's Literature/Discworld novels has its real-life basis in "Ferret Legging", a largely extinct British sport in which the competitors stuff two ferrets into their trousers and attempt to keep them there for as long as they can, harkening back to the time ferrets would be secretly carried by poachers to catch rabbits. The world record is over five hours. Ouch. This is not as dangerous as jokers like to make out, as anyone who has ever owned a ferret can tell you that, as incredibly curious burrowing animals, among their favorite places to be is inside anything vaguely tunnel-like in size and shape. And they're just as happy to climb up your pants leg while you're still in them, as if they were lying in the dirty clothes pile on the floor. And women in low-cut tops is an open invitation to dive right in. As a metaphor, this is the origin of the UK journalistic phrase "a reverse ferret", meaning a news source totally changing its published opinion on a given issue. The story goes that Kelvin Mackenzie of The Sun believed journalists should be a constant source of annoyance to public figures, like a ferret up their trouser legs. If it turned out that public sympathy was with the figure being treated like this, however, Mackenzie would order his staff to reverse the ferret.
