And while some have just given up on the whole 'Elden Lord' deal and are still generally nice people (Nepheli Loux and Sorceror Rogier, for example), others have become villainous. The best example is Festering Fingerprint Vyke, who was once the prime candidate for Elden Lordship but has since fallen to the Frenzied Flame.
