->''"When I get angry, I just feel like slamming doors."''
-->-- '''Garfield''', ''ComicStrip/{{Garfield}}''

This is an act displayed when someone slams the door hard when they're really mad, usually when having an argument with somebody. If PlayedForLaughs, the slam can cause a vibration that causes stuff surrounding the door to crash down onto the floor, or even the door itself. If the door has a window in it or is made of glass, said glass will inevitably shatter.

This is an {{Anger Trope|s}}. Compare TaeKwonDoor for when the door is purposefully slammed to damage an opponent. Contrast TheDoorSlamsYou. This trope isn't related to HeelFaceDoorSlam, though it might go along with it nicely in order to emphasize it or even kill the would-be-reformed villain.

[[folder:Real Life]]
* While not all that uncommon in RealLife, one should be aware that slamming doors can be a form of symbolic aggression and sometimes can be a red flag for abuse in a relationship. If you or someone you care about is being abused, please don't hesitate to report it to the police unless doing so would put you/them in greater danger.
