As in, they literally both have to see each other's eyes to experience this, as shown with [[spoiler:Hahari]], who Rentarou couldn't see until special eyedrops got cleaned out of his eyes, [[spoiler:Mei]], who had her EyesAlwaysShut until he figured out how to get her to open them, [[spoiler:Mai]], who refused to look at him until she was forced by circumstances into doing so, and [[spoiler:Shiina]], who spent an entire chapter with her eyes closed before actually looking at Rentarou.
9	* Umeno-suke of ''Manga/{{Adekan}}'' describes himself as this for Mutsukuchi-sama.
10	* Shiine from ''Manga/AkazukinChacha'' fell for Chacha the moment he saw her. He even greeted her by saying he had fallen for her at first sight.

He then goes through a painful surgery to look more beautiful so he could have a chance as Ciel's romantic interest]]. His [[StalkerWithACrush obsession]] leads to a point where [[spoiler:he recreates the most painful of Ciel's memories of being sacrificed just so he could be there and be killed in the same way that Ciel had murdered his tormentors]]. "Talk to the demon", indeed.
23	* In ''Manga/BlackCat'', Kyoko fell in love with Train at first sight (some of it might have to do with how, at first sight, he ''was'' [[RescueRomance saving her]]). She then becomes his rabid StalkerWithACrush.
24	** [[BigBad Creed]], as well, is shown to have fallen in love with Train at first sight (in the short excerpt in the manga which shows the scene where they first met). It also cements Creed's status as a masochist, considering that his first interaction with Train consists of Train disdainfully glaring at him, and telling Creed to shove off, saying that he's useless to Train. Creed, being Creed, [[TooKinkyToTorture gets aroused by this]] and ends up becoming Train's StalkerWithACrush.

Renton, the hero of the story, falls madly in love with Eureka the moment she crashlands near his grandfather's house. Complicated by the fact that Eureka [[spoiler:is not human]] and doesn't understand his feelings. Around the end of second season, Eureka begins to show more and more human emotions and eventually falls in love with Renton. The fact that [[spoiler:[[InterspeciesRomance she is a Coralian]]]], however, leads her to think that she and Renton are unable to be together, leading to problems in their relationship.
50	* Practically a staple for the ''Music/EvilliousChronicles''--though the most notable examples are actually the product of magic, such as the titular duke of ''Literature/TheLunacyOfDukeVenomania'' using his powers for instant seduction (or pursuing women out of instant sexual attraction and pretending it's love), and Michaela's many instant suitors in ''Literature/WiegenliedOfGreen'' from her being a reborn forest spirit.

After the Phantom Lord Arc, Juvia becomes a StalkerWithACrush and even joins Fairy Tail just to be near the man of her dreams.
54	*** In turn, Gray's rival Lyon falls in love with ''Juvia'' at first sight when he meets her at the end of the Tenrou Island Arc, prompting a hilarious reaction from her as she believes she's in the middle of a LoveTriangle.
55	** [[TeamPet Happy]] the [[CatFolk Exceed]] also falls madly in love with fellow Exceed Carla when they first meet in the Oracion Seis Arc. The feeling isn't mutual, as Carla rejects his advances and ignores him, but Happy [[DoggedNiceGuy continues to show an immense interest in her]]. While she eventually begins to accept him as a friend, Happy remains madly infatuated with Carla and makes it his mission to impress her.
56	* In ''Manga/FlameOfRecca'', Recca has this to an extent with Yanagi (TheDulcineaEffect kicking in full power). Despite meeting her for the first time, he swears to protect her and is shown blushing around her. As the series goes on, his feelings for her deepen (as do hers for him), but it's still nevertheless love at first sight.
57	* Shu from ''Manga/FlowerFlower'' falls head over heels with her wife, Nina, at first sight. Nina on the [[{{Tsundere}} other hand]].

It takes some time for them to become friends, for the same reason as Kureno.
61	* ''Hardly'' one of those pure-hearted, Disney-esque fairy tale types, but apparently [[BigBad Gauron]] from ''Literature/FullMetalPanic'' fell in love with [[NoYay 12-year-old Sôsuke]] at first sight, becoming something of a StalkerWithACrush towards him. Yes, warped and disturbing as it is, it's probably the closest thing Gauron has experienced to being in love. Even after five years of not seeing or hearing from Sōsuke, he still manages to recognize Sōsuke right away (at least, after he manages to get a clear view of Sōsuke's face), and apparently has never forgotten him ever since they first met. Gauron himself even confesses to Sōsuke that he loves him.
62	** It's also shown in the novels, that Lemon was heavily implied to be attracted to Sōsuke. When he first saw him, he thought Sōsuke was very good looking and "charming", despite the boy being completely emotionless (read: "eye candy"). Later, after Sōsuke wins a tournament that helped win back Lemon's money, Lemon hugged him with "more passion than a french kiss would warrant," making Sōsuke slightly uncomfortable. And later still, Lemon gets drunk, and subsequently invades Sōsuke's personal space by hugging and groping him while blushing -- which irritates Sōsuke to no end.
63	* In the AlternateUniverse spin-off of ''Manga/FutureDiary'', ''Mirai Nikki: Paradox'', Akise Aru (who already seemed to have a suspicious HoYay crush on Yukiteru in the original) is shown to have fallen in love at first sight with the [[DistressedDude wounded Yukiteru]]. It's so bad to the point where he is shown [[TheDulcineaEffect "championing" for Yukiteru]], so that when he defeats all of Yukiteru's enemies, Yukiteru can [[AGodAmI become God]].
64	* In ''Literature/TheGardenOfSinners'' ''Murder Speculation (Part 1)'', Kokutou Mikiya falls in love with Shiki Ryougi [[SnowMeansLove the moment he first saw her that snowy night]]. Even if she tries her best to push him away to the point of nearly killing him, he is so steadfast in his love that she fell for him and became an OfficialCouple. [[spoiler:He wasn't aware it was her third personality that he met, but that didn't change anything.]]

This is a darker example, unfortunately, as Andrei is a member of the [[StateSec A-Laws]], and eventually starts to try and push a number of toxic ideals towards the mentally unstable Louise. [[spoiler:He even tries to convince her to kill her ex-boyfriend — Saji, who is actually with Celestial Being — in hopes that by being rid of who he sees is a bad influence on his crush object, he can have Louise for himself. Thankfully, Louise not only rejects him... he nearly breaks his hand at one point for trying to fill her head with selfish nonsense.]]
69	* ''Literature/HaruhiSuzumiya'': One of the stories in the novel involves one of Kyon's old friends who he hasn't talked to in months calling to ask about the cute girl he was walking with one day. Turns out to be Yuki. The friend took one look at this girl, briefly, from a distance, and spent the next few months obsessing over her, to the point of laying out a five-year plan for college and starting his own business to prove himself worthy of her. Turns out [[spoiler:he had the ability to perceive Yuki's communication with her boss, the Data Integration Thought Entity, and that's what he saw that gave Yuki an angelic aura in his eyes. Yuki quietly removed this ability, and he (embarrassed) gave up on her. He was just seeing the ''communication''; Yuki explains to Kyon that if he looked too closely, he would have eventually perceived the Entity itself, which [[EldritchAbomination would have killed him]].]]
70	* Hinagiku of ''Manga/HayateTheCombatButler'' admitted to Ayumu that her love for Hayate was "at first sight". If you reread the relevant chapters, you see that, indeed it was. All the chapters since have proven that the love is not just as "looks-oriented" as most cases would be though. Especially since it took her a long time to realize the feelings, even though they were clear as day to everyone else. It's also been implied that it might work both ways. He has said that he is attracted to Hinagiku. With Hayate being a ChasteHero and thicker than a box of bricks, it might be a while before we find out if that's the case.
71	* In ''Anime/HigurashiWhenTheyCry'', Shion Sonozaki [[spoiler: loses three nails, goes AxCrazy and considers suicide]] because she is in love with Satoshi Hojou - whom she talked with for maybe twenty minutes tops, during most of which he was under the impression she was [[TwinSwitch her twin sister Mion]]. In the [[CompressedAdaptation anime]] that's more or less the case, but they have a more complex friendship in the manga and sound novels.

However, because he felt ashamed at getting engaged to her without her consent he acted awkwardly around her which she took as being upset at getting engaged to a woman who was slightly older than him. As such their relationship would have soured despite having a daughter until said daughter inadvertently clears things up for them by acting like a horrible monkey child instead of the duchess she is.
86	* ''Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater'': There is really no other explanation as to why Jean start following Nadia in Paris during the first episode. (Nadia initially doesn't feel the same way, but he earns her trust when he rescues her. This starts a close friendship between them that gradually does turn into a romantic one; [[DefrostingIceQueen in fact, Nadia is completely transformed by her relationship with Jean.]] When Grandis meets Captain Nemo on the ''Nautilus'', she becomes madly infatuated with the man, igniting a jealous rivalry between her and the overprotective first officer, Electra (who harbors similar feelings for the captain.)
