"Star Wars: The End of History" is a ShortStory written by Alexander Freed with illustrations by Chris Scalf. It first appeared in ''Star Wars Insider 154'' on December 9, 2014.

The tale follows Antron Back, a former antiques dealer who was entrusted by a Jedi Master with hiding numerous Jedi artifacts after Order 66 and the Jedi Purge, and his encounter with Corellian Resistance member Miru Nadrinakar after she crash lands outside of his hiding place while being pursued by the Empire. Miru is carrying a vital message for the resistance, and Antron must choose between guarding the Jedi artifacts or helping Miru escape before the Empire finds her.
----
!!This short story contains the following tropes:
* ActionGirl: Miru guns down an Imperial officer and several Stormtroopers all by herself with almost no effort, and before crashing she had managed to damage the engines of the frigate that was pursuing her, which helped buy time to escape.
* CoolOldGuy: Antron is friendly and highly-knowledgeable guy who constantly tries to cheer Miru up with some jokes. [[spoiler:He also decides to sacrifice himself for her to warn the resistance of the Imperial's upcoming attacks.]]
* {{Determinator}}: Despite bleeding from several injuries and being stuck in a very difficult situation, Miru refuses to give up trying to complete her mission, whether it be warning the resistance or trying to help Antron.
* FlingALightIntoTheFuture: Uvell and Antron intend for the trove of Jedi artifacts to be this, with them surviving the Empire and either helping to rebuild the Jedi Order or inspire others with the knowledge contained within. [[spoiler:Antron decides that even if he and the artifacts get buried or destroyed in an Imperial bombardment, something might survive and one day be found again]].
* TheGhost: Jedi Master Uvell, who entrusted Antron with the Jedi artifacts. Whether he is still alive or not is unknown, but at some point he passed on Antron's location to resistance groups fighting against the Empire.
* GhostPlanet: The moon on which Antron is hiding is a former Geonosian colony that was quickly abandoned. He uses the extensive tunnels the Geonosians built to hide his collection of Jedi artifacts.
* HandicappedBadass: Even with several injuries and a severe limp, Miru kills four Imperials without a problem.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[DiscussedTrope Discussed]]: Antron tries to figure out if he should sacrifice himself and the artifacts to allow Miru to escape. He remembers the story of Jedi Padawan Nes Ukul, who sacrificed himself defending a species whose language he could not speak on a planet whose name he did not even know. [[spoiler:Antron is eventually inspired by Ukul's actions to give his life so Miru can escape, reasoning that there is no reason to defend the Jedi artifacts and knowledge if he does not try to live by their ideals]].
-->'''Nes Ukul's master:''' There is no more selfless act than to perish for another's cause.
* LaResistance: The Corellian Resistance, which is at risk of being wiped out if Miru does not warn them about the Empire's upcoming attack.
* TheMedic: Among the Jedi that Antron thinks about is Jedi Master Va Zhurro, who spent six months in a basement healing refugees during the Clone Wars.
* NonActionGuy: Antron. Hardly surprising since he is just a antique dealer.
* NoodleIncident: Antron thinks about several historical events that Jedi participated in that he has studied, but never goes into much detail about them. These include a Jedi who had a Bith opera written about him, as well as the story of Jedi Master Vonkhel, who befriended the Sith Lord of Gairm.
* ThePurge:
** The near-extinction of the Jedi Order due to Order 66 is very important to the story, since Antron is attempting to keep a large treasure trove of Jedi artifacts hidden from the Empire to preserve them until the Emperor falls and the Order is revived.
** Miru is trying to prevent a purge, having learned that the Empire is planning a targeted campaign against several resistance groups and needs to escape the moon to warn them.
* TheStoic: Miru is entirely mission focused: the one time she cracks a smile is when Antron is (badly) humming a Bith ballad about a Jedi.
* YouCannotKillAnIdea: After Miru offers to stay hidden instead of trying to escape and guarantee exposing the artifacts, Antron realizes that even if he and the artifacts are buried or destroyed, the galaxy does not need them for inspiration. People like Miru demonstrate that even after years of the Empire's rule, the nobility and values the Jedi Order represented still endure.
