3	* Implied in the night elf military, but that's a gender segregation thing. [[SituationalSexuality Also, almost all of the male night elves spent the last 10,000 years in the Emerald Dream as druids]]. For all we know, the male night elves may have done the same in the Emerald Dream.
4	** For a specific, if somewhat subtle example, there are Maiev and Naisha. Naisha is one of the few people Maiev was really close to, and Naisha's death, caused by Illidan, immensely intensified Maiev's hatred towards him. Also, after Illidan rendered her brother comatose, was ultimately the reason why most of her Watchers were killed, left Maiev to die, trapped in the Tomb of Sargeras, and had her imprisoned and tortured, Maiev shouts "This is for Naisha!" during the fight against Illidan in ''The Burning Crusade''.
5	** Another implied example happens where Sentinel Sweetspring, a female Night Elf in Star's Rest, will occasionally grin and "waggle her eyebrows suggestively" at the also female Sentinel Amberline (who does not seem to return the interest).
6	* Skyguard Khatie, a neutral gnome quest-giver of the Sha'tari Skyguard, flirts with the player at every opportunity, regardless of the player character's gender. Crosses into outright {{Squick}} if the player happens to be playing a tauren, draenei, Forsaken, etc.
7	** [[HotSkittyOnWailordAction Hot Tauren on Gnome Action]]?
8	** Khatie's dialogue with the player changes depending on their standing with the Skyguard, going from casual flirtation with a colleague to Khatie coming off as being somewhat tongue-tied in your presence. It's actually led to her being sort of a [[TheWoobie woobie]] for the ''[=WoW=]'' community.
9	** It's much the same story with the Alliance Brewfest vendor, Belbi Quickswitch. However, the fact that she is wearing goggles that make everyone look like mostly naked male gnomes might have something to do with it.
10	*** That and, you know, all the beer.
11	* There's an epic quest chain in the Badlands were you are told three hilarious stories by three different people. The third guy, Martek the Exiled, will tell you that the first two stories weren't that great because, among other flaws, they had no hot babes in them. When you're phased to his version of the story, you are surrounded by hot babes... one of whom is a male blood elf. Should you choose to take the male Blood Elf with you during the quest, he even refers to him as a "strapping Blood Elf", so it's not another "no one can tell the Blood Elf sexes apart" joke.
12	* The jewelcrafting daily quests in both Stormwind and Orgrimmar are given by female characters. While all five possible quests are ''{{WesternAnimation/Futurama}}'' references, "A Present for Lila" makes it sound a lot like both questgivers are employing you to make them a gift that they can give to their mutual love interest, a one-eyed female pirate captain.
13	* Anren Shadowseeker, a night elf, and Tholo Whitehoof, a tauren, first appeared in ''Cataclysm'' as unremarkable quest givers who happened to be standing next to one another just outside the starting area in Hyjal Summit. In patch 4.2, during the Molten Front dailies, they reappear to help fight the invasion from the Firelands, and ''every single thing'' (no, really, literally every bit of dialogue or quest text, with maybe one or two exceptions) either one of them says has to do with their deep friendship and devotion to one another. By the eighth or ninth time you run into them, it's difficult for anyone, regardless of personal inclinations, to not be wondering when they're going to invite you to their wedding.
14	** Speaking of the Molten Front dailies, one quest has you running around a battlefield healing wounded druids, who will thank you when they get up. One of the thank you quotes has the druid coyly suggesting they'd like to find a way to repay you later on, regardless of your character's gender or race.
15	** Most pairs of male characters have to ''work'' to get to ThoseTwoGuys status. Anren and Tholo use it as ''starting blocks'' in a 100 meter dash to the Ho Yay finish line.
16	* Koltira and Thassarian, come on now.
17	** To elaborate, Thassarian was killed by Arthas and raised as a Death Knight, then later fought with Koltira's brother, but spared his life. Koltira then fought Thassarian and tried to convince him to rejoin the side of good via IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight but Thassarian struck down Koltira, who was raised as a Death Knight, yet they found comradeship in undeath. Later, Thassarian joins the Alliance and Koltira joins the Horde, but they maintain their friendship despite their factions. Instead of fighting over a location, they call a temporary truce between the Alliance and Horde. At the end of the quest line, Koltira is dragged off by Sylvanas in order to remove the other loyalties he holds, and Thassarian states his intention to go after ''the Banshee Queen herself'' to find out what happened to his friend. Super-Homoerotic or world's most epic bromance? You decide!
18	** There's also the fact that, in the Death Knight starting zone, Thassarian asks you to go rescue Koltira, who was taken prisoner by the Scarlet Crusade. While saying that, normally, servants of the Lich King who failed in battle are left to die. He also refers to Koltira as a sort-of brother to him. Koltira isn't surprised at all by this when you find him.
19	** In ''Legion'', Thassarian shyly asks the player-his new boss-to help him rescue Koltira from Sylvanas. This is five years after she dragged Koltira off for reeducation. You pass various horrific-looking torture devices as you go through the dungeons, fully expecting to find Koltira in pieces or else insane. Instead, he's perfectly fine if a bit tired and still very loyal to Thassarian. [[TooKinkyToTorture It kind of seems like Sylvanas gave up torturing him in frustration.]]
20	* In ''Mists of Pandaria'', there are two women, Ann and Marsha Stockton, standing in the inn in the Shrine of the Seven Stars. Neither have any unique dialogue, but one's a dwarf, one's a human, they have the same last name, and they occasionally use the /flirt emote at one another. They're widely theorized to be a married couple, and are likely a cameo appearance by relatives of lead designer Cory Stockton.
21	* While Jaina is canonically involved with Kalecgos these days, there's a slight hint of attraction between her and Vereesa Windrunner as per the Alliance's side of the Isle of Thunder scenarios. Jaina often dotes on Vereesa.
22	* Wrathion and Anduin in ''Mists of Pandaria'' due to how they were frequently seen playing board games with each other in the Tavern while Anduin teased Wrathion about his age and size, as well as the fact that Anduin seems to be the only person that genuinely likes Wrathion. Fan fics written by fans about them hooking up after this expansion and/or confronting Wrathion's decision to [[spoiler:free Garrosh]] pop up frequently. This isn't helped by their interactions in ''War Crimes'', with Wrathion acting like he wants to confess to Anduin right there if not for their different goals.
23	** In ''Battle For Azeroth'', Wrathion arrives in Stormwind along with Magni Bronzebeard to warn Anduin about N'Zoth. Although they warn the Horde as well (via Valeera Sanguinar relaying information), Wrathion doesn't go personally. As soon as Wrathion arrives, Anduin punches him. This is because Anduin blames Wrathion for his father's death (which is not totally wrong, if not completely correct either). Wrathion's reaction is "I suppose I deserved that". It's very clear that Wrathion is genuinely worried about Anduin during the rest of the cinematic. For context: Wrathion once ordered an incompetent underling dumped outside with broken legs. He's generally a bit of a {{Jerkass Hero}}... to everyone except Anduin.
24	* [[KnightInShiningArmor Tirion Fordring]] and [[NobleDemon Darion Mograine]]. Tirion saves Darion's life after Arthas steals his father's soul, and instantly partners up with him, trusting him implicitly. In the Ashbringer comic, Darion seeks out Tirion to find out how to free his father's soul from the Corrupted Ashbringer. Tirion's obligatory answer? [[ThePowerOfLove Love.]] He doesn't even bother hiding his horror when Darion is turned into the NobleDemon that he ends up as. In fact, his reaction to seeing Darion again is to plead with/berate him for falling to the Scourge. Darion's initial death could even be interpreted as [[ActofTrueLove proving his love for Tirion, since it's kinda the only reason Tirion or anyone else survived the original battle of Light's Hope Chapel]]. That incident is also the reason that the Lich King regards Mograine so highly, as he managed to foil the Archlich Kel'thuzad: [[TheDragon the Lich King's right hand man]] and most powerful member of the Scourge by far.
25	** Eventually, Darion returns the favor and saves Tirion's life, yelling at him, berating him, kicking stuff around, basically raging that Tirion did not come to him immediately after discovering the heart of the [[EvilOverlord Lich King]]. Those guys are really invested in the other one living because of pure trust, or... something else. They always talk to each other while ignoring other people, stand by each other when watching inappropriately timed challenges, etc.
26	** In ''Legion'', when the Knights of the Ebon Blade are recruiting their new horsemen, Tirion's name is thrown in the ring as the prime candidate for Fourth Horseman. Darion is absolutely ''livid'' and disgusted at the prospect, going on a long rant during which he states rather vehemently that Tirion is one of the world's greatest heroes and deserves the peace of death. Doesn't stop him from going through with the assault, but still... (For Comparison, when weighing up the other candidates, Darion considered the pros and cons of the choices politically before deciding the Ebon Blade would be honoured to have the other horsemen in their ranks.) To be fair though, this reaction is partially because he knows the Lich King is playing a sick joke on him. It is also worth noting that Tirion is old enough to be Darion's father, although younger than his actual father, and Darion is young enough to be Tirion's son (although older than his actual son). Their extremely close relationship could therefore be more of a father-son thing than a romantic thing.
27	* Kama the Beast Tamer, the female Pandaren stable master just outside the Tavern in the Mist, apparently has a female 'life-mate' according to the in-game erotic literature 'A Steamy Romance Novel: Hot and Misty'
28	** Another of the Steamy Romance Novels, entitled 'Savage Passions' features two males engaging in incredibly suggestive acts.
29	** A third Steamy Romance Novel, "Got Milk?", appears in ''Legion'', depicting the novels' protagonist Marcus engaging in a threesome with a married tauren couple. At one point in Highmountain, it's possible to find Marcus himself, quietly sneaking out of a tent and leaving a pair of tauren sleeping on its floor. Marcus apparently writes ''very'' quickly.
30	* In ''Warlords of Draenor'', the Alternate Universe Drek'thar, like all characters, has several on-click audio clips. One of his 'pissed' lines (the ones you get when you click on them many times in a row) is as follows: "I...didn't know you felt that way about me. Perhaps we should take this somewhere more...private." He will deliver this line regardless of the Player Character's gender.
31	* Kil'jaeden and Velen were very close. In the ''World of Warcraft'' novel ''Rise of the Horde'', Kil'jaeden's reaction to Velen fleeing Argus to avoid corruption is reminiscent of a jilted lover, and in ''Warlords of Draenor'', Archimonde even calls out Kil'jaeden on his obsession about about getting revenge on Velen (and the draenei), and how it is distracting him from conquering Draenor. In ''Legion'' in the opening cinematic for the Legionfall campaign, Kil'jaeden is shown using magical scrying to watch the council on Dalaran, his expression turning pensive, even briefly forlorn, as he focuses on Velen. Then when Velen calls Kil'jaeden a monster (even though it's true in every sense of the word) [[MoralMyopia Kil'jaeden is hurt and distraught by this]], [[ShootTheTelevision angrily ending the scrying with a swipe of one hand]].
32	** Expanded upon later on Argus. When encountering Talgath, Talgath outright states Velen leaving (which Talgath called a betrayal) broke Kil'jaeden's heart. Velen's response to this is "I lost a brother that day, too." However, although they call each other "brother", they were literally inside each other's heads. Velen uses terms normally reserved for romantic relationships to describe their connection. However, it is made explicitly clear that the relationship was not sexual in any sense.
33	* In monks' class hall on the Wandering Isle, you can find Rhonda and Heather, a lesbian couple, hanging out at the temple's base. Rhonda is a tribute NPC to one of Blizzard's producers, and Heather is a tribute to her girlfriend.
34	* Marius Felbane (a demon hunter) and Tehd Shoemaker (an Undead warlock) are found in many Legion zones, including Broken Shore. Logically, they should be each other's mortal enemies, and Marius does indeed mention that he initially brought Tehd along to keep an eye on him, but they seem to have developed a genuine bond throughout their [[http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11186/tehd-marius-excellent-adventure adventure]]. Also, they bicker [[LikeanOldMarriedCouple like a married couple]].
35	* Enchanters can embark upon a quest chain in Azsuna where you must accomplish several goals for a trio of ghosts before learning their formulas. One of the quest chains begins with a female master asking you to search for her wayward female apprentice, but by the time you're two quests deep, it's obvious they were lovers. You end up taking the apprentice's ghost to a place where the two of them spent many hours together, in order to purify her spirit with love.
36	* In the order hall quest chain for rogues, at one point you're given a pair of stylish sunglasses that act as a magical blacklight and sent out into Dalaran to track a blood trail. While you're wearing the glasses, various [=NPCs=] will comment on them, sometimes to the point of hitting on you. This can include the innkeeper at the Legerdemain Lounge, regardless of your gender and the fact that her husband is in the room.
37	* A one-sided example happens in "The Folly of Levia Laurance," questline involves Levia being tricked and falling in love with a succubus named Agatha (who happens to be [[FatBastard an imp mother]] in disguise). Levia falls in love with Agatha, believing that Agatha understands her in a way that none of Levia's former colleagues in the Kirin Tor did.
38	* In ''Battle for Azeroth'', much of the Horde questing zone of Vol'dun revolves around two female Zandalari trolls, Kaja and Rakera. The zone's story begins with Kaja enlisting the player's help to find her commander, Rakera, who has been exiled to Vol'dun for having dirt on the general of the Zandalari army. As the quests progress, it becomes increasingly obvious that Kaja has a personal attachment, and once Rakera is found, she refuses to leave her side. A later quest has the player collect other people's memories, and among them is a flashback from just before Rakera was exiled. In it, Kaja begs Rakera not to confront the general, and is left crying when Rakera states that duty comes first.
39	** In a later patch, Rakera is promoted to general. Kaja receives no promotion herself, but is always present wherever General Rakera goes, as if she's worried about losing her again.
40	* Tyrathan and Vol'jin? No one?
41	** To explain: in the novel ''Shadows of the Horde'', Vol’jin is introduced to a human hunter named Tyranthan Kort. While initially hostile to each other, the two men slowly grow closer over the course of the novel, saving each other’s lives and eventually swearing an oath that should one be killed before the other, the survivor would avenge his friend. Tragically, Vol’jin would pass first, and the first time Tyranthan appears in-game, it’s at his funeral. The funeral taking place just outside the ''very'' human-unfriendly Orgrimmar. The funeral that apparently even ''Thrall'' couldn’t be bothered to attend. Tyrathan later appears in the hunter class hall, still thinking about Vol’jin and his promise to avenge him.
42	* [[TheSpymaster Mathias Shaw]] and [[LovableRogue Flynn Fairwind]] spend the entirety of the Zandalari treasury heist [[FlirtingUnderFire flirting with each other]]. At the end of the expansion, a conversation the player overhears between Mathias and Valeera Sanguinar involves the spymaster confessing that he’d like to get to know “someone” better, and it’s confirmed he’s talking about Flynn in the next ''Warcraft'' novel. Their RelationshipUpgrade makes them the first confirmed gay couple in the ''Warcraft'' universe.
43	** This also causes an probably unintentional but hilarious new spin on the rumors Anduin heard about Tess Greymane; namely, that she had “taken a page or two” from Mathias Shaw. While what it’s ''really'' talking about is her training as a rogue, it can very easily be read to indicate that she prefers women, especially given that Anduin was reminded of those rumors when the suggestion of ''marriage'' came up.
44	* In Ardenweald, the player is introduced to Thiernax and his husband Qadarin, former Night Warriors who are spending their afterlives together.
