[[folder: Saitama and Genos]]
* Genos is ''very'' interested in learning how Saitama became strong as he is, tags along with Saitama often despite how many times Saitama says he can handle things alone, and later Genos decides to move in with Saitama....
* Someone [[http://i.imgur.com/Hgs5tGv.jpg compiled a whole image]] dedicated towards Genos serving under Saitama, which includes helping him by paying his rent, doing chores, cooking, being upset whenever someone disrespects his master, carrying his groceries, providing all the information Saitama would ever need on anything, going along with his silly shenanigans, buying an entire brand of Saitama Strips, writing every single habit and word his master speaks in his notebook, buying him drinks, and much more. To say that Genos is obsessed with Saitama is an understatement. Sonic seems to pick up on this as well, calling Genos a "clingy shithead" in the manga.
* The anime [[AdaptationalExpansion somewhat adds in some additional scenes of interactions between them.]] One particular example being the climax of episode 7 where Genos sees negative comments accusing Saitama of causing the destruction of Z City online and rushes to the scene where he is being publicly humiliated by Tank Top Tiger and Black Hole. The episode ends with Genos telling Saitama that he will always be his follower no matter what people say about him, Saitama replies that he doesn't need to butter up things to make him feel better, and then turns back with a small smile of his face. The setting sun and soft guitar music in the background of this scene make it sound more like a LoveConfession.
* A [[http://criscura.tumblr.com/post/148364840420/i-guess-i-missed-that-one-time-where-genos bonus page by Murata]] reveals that Genos instructed the anime director on how to accurately portray Saitama, including the opening sequence's animation and lyrics, and shared all his notes on Saitama with a WallOfText not unlike his own backstory exposition. The lyrics to the ending song are also oddly romantic and specific; "the person I love is so strong it worries me" is almost certainly about Saitama, and the only character that would make sense as the speaker given the anime context would be Genos. The line "I hope these feelings reach you" matches easily with a lot of Genos' internal monologing about his feelings concerning Saitama. Also worth noting is that in the WallOfText the director is requested to not "miss out on his physical appeal".
-->''So, please come straight home.''
* In the second episode, when Saitama is standing naked in the street, Genos' eyes are wavering and he appears to be staring below the belt. Later, after being tested for the Hero's Association, Saitama is clearly looking at Genos' crotch (or rather, where it should be).
* After their sparring match (which Saitama later refers to as "playing"), Saitama takes Genos out to eat. He gets worried when Amai Mask comes to talk to Genos, concerned that this is part of "newbie crushing" and that Genos might be injured. He's jealous when girls come up to talk to Genos afterward, and when they part ways at the end of the scene, Saitama frowns as soon as Genos turns away, and sad guitar music starts playing. Although he initially denies Genos' request to live with him, Saitama caves easily; WordOfGod confirms that Saitama hasn't used any of Genos' rent money.
* Saitama is normally calm and appears emotionless. In the anime, he expresses the most amount of emotion around Genos, including irritation and worry when Genos is injured, always checking to make sure Genos is okay before proceeding to beat the MonsterOfTheWeek.
* Genos fights with Sonic in order to keep Sonic from bothering a preoccupied Saitama. Sonic comments that Genos is a "clingy shithead" and that he appears to be "showing off" (Saitama wonders if he's gotten upgrades since the last time they "played together"). He prepares an attack that will almost certainly incapacitate Genos, but Saitama drags Genos out of the fight before he can get injured. Sonic accuses Saitama of getting soft for protecting Genos.
* In the sixth OVA, Genos offers to defend Saitama in court. Saitama responds by being deeply offended that Genos doesn't believe he didn't kill Zombieman.
* The anime director has stated that Genos isn't interested in (fan)girls, only in Saitama('s power), and that the only way to get Genos' attention to give him something for Valentine's day is to give Saitama something as well. WordOfGod also states that Saitama picked out the slippers and duster Genos is frequently drawn with.
* In a recent drama CD, Genos is so inspired by Saitama's words that, having forgotten his notebook, he drills Saitama's words into his chest. In another drama CD, Saitama takes Genos to a festival to have fun, and actually spends money on him. The most notable one features the two trying to improve Saitama's reputation by changing his looks and attack name, which wouldn't be too out of the ordinary... if not for the fact that Genos paints on Saitama's naked body and puts cat ears on his head.
* The second anime ed sounds an awful lot like a ''response'' to the first ed.
-->''That's why I'll be back, I'll come back right to you.''
** The ending visuals has a silhouette of Saitama, while inside it we get silhouettes of Sonic, Fubuki, Bang, Tatsumaki, King, and then Genos. It's highly implied that (bar Tatsumaki) that these are the people Saitama is fond of in his life, ranked by closeness. And who else is the first? Genos!
** Even better, it's sung by Saitama's Japanese VA.
* In a stark contrast to the webcomic, Saitama comes to Genos, Bang, and Bomb's rescue, killing Elder Centipede. Why? Because when King points out that Genos may be in danger, Saitama got worried and quickly went out to find him. Initially when Saitama got a monster alert, he gets discouraged not going as an S-class was already there. Unless, apparently, that S-class was Genos. No doubt a leftover from his experience with the Deep Sea King.
* In chapter 155 of the manga, as Saitama praises Genos that he got stronger both physically and internally, we get treated to a full-color splash page of Genos and Saitama illuminated by the constellation-like three-way fight, with the latter gently touching the former's core. Then we see Genos give Saitama a [[WhenHeSmiles rare, genuine smile]], thanking him and Doctor Kuseno, as Saitama lightly blushes, genuinely happy and proud as well.
** Extra heart-warming is that In-Universe, they've only been apart for several hours. In real life, it's been ''years'' since these two had been on the same panel, and Murata graced their long-awaited reunion with a lovingly colored double spread page!
* In chapter 166 of the manga, Genos's last word:
-->'''Genos:''' ''Sensei - '' [[[spoiler:''Garou kills him'']]]
* While there are many scenes that speaks of Genos's devotion to Saitama, it remains rather ambiguous on Saitama's end if he even reciprocates the same care Genos has for him. Well, '''Chapters 166-168''' has shed some better light on that. Saitama has done the following:
** Seeing Genos killed in front of him has the usually unflappable Saitama undergo a HeroicBSOD, wearing an unprecedented expression on his face that may look blank, but with Murata's work manages to perfectly encapsulate grief, rage, horror, and regret all in one.
*** The fact Garou believes that he ''must'' resort to killing Genos to incite Saitama going full power, meaning he can tell that simply killing the other heroes won't be enough for Saitama to go all-out..
** ''Saitama has to hold Genos's core in his hand''. He looks at Genos's eviscerated corpse and calls out his name, very much knowing he can no longer respond. Saitama, who can usually barely remember people's names, then recalls a conversation he and Genos has ''during the House of Evolution''. The latter praising him for being on time, with Saitama rebutting this, [[HarsherInHindsight as he actually always arrive too late]]. And he was, and this was the result.
** This has him seriously question his usually unshakeable heroism, believing he doesn't really have a hero's intuition. Saitama, who whole-heartedly devoted himself to heroism that it saved his life, just had his self-image of a hero horrifically shattered because he failed to protect Genos.
** He then throws an ''earth-shattering punch'' that would've obliterated earth and kill everyone, with Garou throwing his own Serious Punch to match, had Blast and his team not been present to redirect it. It then proceeds to obliterate a massive chunk of the night sky, meaning they destroyed several galaxies in the process.
** The eventual fight has Saitama serious throughout, and unlike most of his battles, it's obvious at this point Saitama doesn't care about the eventual destruction, what just matters to him is to pettily humiliate Garou at his own game and in his words, ''beat the living shit out of him''.
** He got his wish he had at the start of the series, to have a worthy opponent he could go all out with, but Saitama is not even remotely happy or excited.
** He realizes that he can't fit the core under his suit:
-->'''Saitama:''' [''Thinking''] If my suit gets torn off, it'll just fall right out.\
'''Saitama:''' [''Grips the core tightly''] ''So better hold on to it tight.''
** Through his martial arts, Garou has torn all of Saitama's hero suit, the same suit he took great pride and care on because it represents him as a ''hero''. As Saitama emerges with no damage, we can see only a small part of his glove remains, the same one holding the unscathed core.
*** Sure enough, despite the planetary-level of destruction Saitama was wreaking on one hand, the core remain perfectly intact in the other.
** From the narrator's explanation, Saitama's power was surpassing Garou's at a ridiculous exponential rate due to "an upsurge of emotions he has never felt before". That's right, even before Saitama has went emotionally numb because of his powers, there was nothing that he felt on the level of ''Genos's death for 25 years'' that he actually unlocked an unimaginable level of power that even ''he'' doesn't know he had.
** On the surface, the relationship may seem one-sided on Genos's part, in a twisted way, chapter 168 of the manga all but confirms that Saitama is just as attached to Genos, if not moreso - ''Genos literally serves as his sense of humanity and keeps him sane''.
-->[[spoiler: '''Saitama:''' You wanted to save him [Tareo]? You weren't just clinging to him for support...?]]
-->[[spoiler:'''Garou:''' Clinging... Me? ''What would you know'' — [''Falters when he sees the core, still unscathed in Saitama's hand''] ]]
-->[[spoiler:'''Garou:''' [''realizes that Genos is to Saitama as Tareo is to him''] (... Is that what you're doing too? [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity There's no way a person with that kind of power can keep in their right mind.]])]]
** The fact Garou can immediately tell despite knowing the barebones about Saitama and Genos speaks volumes.
** For reasons unexplained, Genos's core is still in current Saitama's hands when he got merged with his future self.
* In chapter 168 of the Manga, thanks to a [[spoiler: time travel induced]] WardrobeMalfunction, Genos ends up head-butting Saitama ''right into his stomach''.
* Genos is under the incorrect assumption that Saitama is simply being modest about the fact he saved everyone by going back in time, hence why he doesn't try to let anyone else know about it. When Genos realizes besides Saitama, he's the''only'' one who knows about the truth, he gives an extremely pleased smile.
* Saitama has taken a great liking to Rover, and it seems Genos is fairly neutral to the dog, until Saitama makes a note that dog's are a man's bestfriend, Genos is silent for a beat before looking ''extremely jealous''.
-->'''Genos:''' [''Murderously''] Indeed they are cute, aren't they...
* Chapter 173 of the manga has the HA have their heroes' reporting on information about God, and when the topic of countermeasures comes up, sure enough, Genos speaks up to reveal the events of the alternate timeline... But only to end up talking for '''four hours''', 90% of which was just him complimenting Saitama.
* Forte tries to get on Saitama's good side by throwing a lot of favors at him: offering to lend him some of his clothes, some time to hang out, ''inviting him out to a good restaurant''. This creeps Saitama out, and declines that he has a stomach bug all of a sudden... Only for Saitama to have lunch with Genos shortly after.
* Genos gets a new body, and for some reason, opted to deliberately forgoe a shirt while he goes to meet Saitama.

[[folder: Saitama and Others]]
* We get treated to a flashback of Saitama during his earlier hero days, one instance of which was him saving King. Interestingly enough, we get treated to one of the handsomest art of Saitama... and it's from King point-of-view.
* As soon as Sweet Mask gets irrefutable evidence of Saitama's real power, he too also gets on Genos's level of obsession with him.
* In the webcomic, Zombieman, Amai Mask, and Flashy Flash is a bit too, ''obsessed'' with Saitama('s strength).
[[/folder]]
[[folder: Others]]
* Garou and Metal Bat get shipped a surprising amount. Shippers view their brawl as BelligerentSexualTension, and that Garou took mercy on Metal Bat out of both respect for Zenko and feelings for his opponent. It helps that they're both quite handsome, around the same age, love fighting, and have soft-spots for kids.
