Near the end, Joe tells Brian over the air-to-ground radio, "I wish I could be more like you". Brian tells Joe he missed what he said due to briefly switching the receiver to a game and asks Joe to repeat himself, to which Joe replies, "Never mind." Then after Joe hangs up:

At the very last minute, Brian can't stand it and forgoes the tropical island to run the airline for Joe until he gets back.
