* "I love you, Tulip. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone, and I'll love you until the end of the world."
* In this vein, Jesse's parting words to Cindy in the Salvation arc.
* Jesse and [[spoiler: a freshly-resurrected]] Tulip embracing as the L'Angelle house goes up in flames.
* "So you're a girl. That needn't be so bad."
* Issue #54, aptly titled "I Built My Dreams Around You".
* [[spoiler: Oddly, and bizarrely, the Saint Of Killers fighting off the army of the Grail, after Jesse reveals the AwfulTruth . As well as Jesse caring about his well-being and safety.]]
* ''Preacher'' is full of horrible things. But the end was quite sweet and felt like it should be. [[spoiler: Tulip leaves to go to New York, like she said she would... Jesse shows up later, on a horse, tells her he'll always love her, and they ride off into the sunset together on said horse. The real kicker comes from the tears streaming down Jesse's face. He had not cried previously since he was a little boy due to his awful childhood. Cassidy comes back as a human, climbs in the truck with the picture of the three of them on the dash, and drives off to make a new, happier life.]]
* [[spoiler:The inbred freak-girl from Texas falling in love with poor Arseface was strangely adorable and heartwarming. Finally, he came out on top!]]
** Especially given that he looked like James Dean. [[spoiler: Arseface is the only character shown to be genuinely trying to be a good person overall, and is something of an innocent.]]
* Jesse's initial interactions with Arseface are pretty sweet. After Arseface comes and tries to kill him as revenge for Sheriff Root's suicide. Jesse simply talks him down and reminds him that his dad wasn't such a [[JerkAss good person]], with him forgiving the teen when he apologizes.
* The Cowboy's final message to Jesse.
-->'''Jesse:''' Hey. I want to thank you.\
'''Cowboy:''' Thank me fer what...?\
'''Jesse:''' For bein' a goddamn hero.\
'''Cowboy:''' Hell, pilgrim, I'm just a ...broke-down, wore-out ol' cowboy. But this broke-down, wore-out cowboy wanted ya to know, he's prouda ya.
* Tulip growing up and bonding with her father, him accepting her as his daughter, teaching her to shoot and hunt.
* The interactions between Starr´s two assistants, Hoover and Featherstone.
* Jesse admitting to Hoover that what he did was wrong, and then using the Word to help him get past the trauma associated with it, was a nice thing to do. It also demonstrates Jesse's Character Development, since Hoover had pointed a gun at him and that would have been enough for the old Jesse to kick the shit out of him
* When Tulip tells Jesse about the abuse she endured in the hands of [[spoiler: Cassidy]], she says that she realizes that it sounds hard to believe. Jesse gently reassures her that if she said it happened, then it happened.
* [[spoiler: Cassidy]], after Jesse giving a massive TheReasonYouSuck speech and NoHoldsBarredBeatdown, reaches out his hand to Jesse, asking for his help. Jesse, despite all that has happened and saying [[spoiler: Cassidy]] doesn't deserve it, eventually accepts and takes his hand. [[spoiler: It's just so Cass, blinded by the blood in his eyes can land a hit on Jesse, but this entire thing is setting up Cass's plan, which was to save Jesse from the endless hunt by the Grail and free him.]]
** [[spoiler: When Cassidy prepares to die by the rising sun]], Jesse, despite having his ribcage broken, desperately begs Cassidy to get into cover to save himself, swearing this wasn't what he wanted. [[spoiler: Cassidy accepts his fate, smiling as he greets God as "you big blonde bitch"before going up in flames.]]
** [[spoiler: Cassidy's]] masterplan, which was to make a deal with God for him to fight and weaken Jesse so God could remove the Word from him. God's side of the deal? God must ensure Jesse (who, at the time, hated [[spoiler: Cassidy's]] guts, would live at the end, and, as another bonus, [[spoiler: Cassidy]] would as well. Despite the fact he gets the everloving crap kicked out of him, God keeps his side of the bargain and both [[spoiler: Jesse and Cassidy are brought back to life, with Cassidy now a human.]]
