* Georgie finds his grandfather's kite. Jack then helps him fly it, and they both have awed expressions when Mary Poppins sails down from the sky, holding onto the string, and Jack gives a wide grin.
-->'''Jack:''' As I live and breathe!
** The kite still has their grandmother's suffragette sash for a tail.
* Michael tells Mary it's wonderful to see her. While looking like a mess after his wife's death, [[WhenHeSmiles he still manages to smile]]. No matter what has happened, he and Jane haven't forgotten Mary Poppins.
** Also proof that Michael is a better parent than his father was: he tries to keep his worries away from the children, only [[TearJerker breaking down when he feels everything is out of control]]. He's very sweet to them, and his primary worry is taking care of them and their future.
* Despite Michael telling her that he can't afford to pay her at the moment, Mary takes on the role anyway, assuring him that the issue will work itself out.
* Some HeartwarmingInHindsight: "And what would happen if I loved all the children I said goodbye to?" Mary Poppins asked a sobbing Jane and Michael as she packed her bags in [[Film/MaryPoppins the previous film]]. It turns out love can mean a lot when your charges need you again. Mary Poppins says as much, that she came to save Jane and Michael, as well as the younger Banks children. As she's leaving at the very end of the film, she even throws a wistful glace over her shoulder.
* Just the fact that Michael named one of his kids after his father.
* The Banks children, Annabelle, John, and Georgie, singing a reprise of "The Place Where Lost Things Go" to comfort their father.
* When the Banks are concerned about losing the family home, the Children ask where Mary Poppins shall go. Micheal tells them that she'll still live with them (at Jane's place) cause Mary Poppins is ''family''.
** Also, the neighbors giving the Banks family a fond farewell. Admiral Boom, for instance, gives them a ship in a bottle of his old command. Even having to deal with his cannon firings every single day for at least twenty-five years, they are still neighbors and friendly with each other.
* Seeing Creator/DickVanDyke at 92 dancing as Dawes Jr., and looking cheery.
** Creator/EmilyBlunt has revealed that after filming, he came over to her and sang in a whisper "It's a jolly holiday with Mary." She describes it as the moment after which she can die happy.
* Lin Manuel-Miranda was naturally offered a ton of parts after his success with ''Theatre/{{Hamilton}}'', and upon getting this one he first asked who was playing Mary, then signed on immediately upon hearing it was Emily Blunt.
* Mr. Dawes Jr. telling the story of the tuppence to the children, which in turns helps save the House. Even more heartwarming when it is accompanied by "Feed the Birds", which is not on the soundtrack.
* "Nowhere to Go But Up", especially the ending when "Let's Go Fly a Kite" and "A Spoonful of Sugar" is quoted and then there is this.
--> '''Michael''': Jane, I remember! It's all true! Every impossible thing we imagined with Mary Poppins - [[Film/MaryPoppins it all happened!]] (singing) Now my heart is so light, that I think I just might start [[CallBack feeding the birds, and then go fly a kite!]] With your head in a cloud, only laughter's allowed, and there's nowhere to go but up!
* Jack's crush on Jane is utterly adorable.
* It's a small moment, but Ellen, the maid, offers at one point to sell some of her jewellery to help the Banks pay the loan.
* Jack and Mary greet each other happily and Jack explains to the children that he met Mary Poppins for the first time when he was "working for a chimney sweep". Mary, who hasn't been paying attention to him and is focusing on the children, instantly snaps her head across to him and asks, "How is dear old Bert?" When she's told he's traveling the world, the smile almost breaks her face.
* Bert isn't in London at the moment and it's been over twenty years, but the leeries still seem to remember Mary Poppins and fall right back into line behind her during the dancing.
* Jane offering to put Michael and the kids up at her apartment indefinitely.
* Mr. Frye unlocking the bank doors so Michael and Jane can get the certificate in on time.
* For everyone who loved the original, that first glimpse of an almost-unchanged Cherry Tree Lane, with the music quoting "The Life I Lead", is like seeing an old friend for the first time in years.
