* The ending, except the bit about '''[[NoIndoorVoice THE CLAW]]'''. That bit's more like a CMOF.
** One particular part that deserves mention is Fletcher's heartfelt speech to Max. When Max believes he's being honest because of the truth curse still, Fletcher tells him that he's been able to lie for 30 minutes by then. Though Max starts getting crestfallen at that, Fletcher tells him that everything he said was the truth. Think about it for a moment: Fletcher's being honest here because he ''wants'' to be, not because a truth curse is making him ''have'' to be.
* "I really wanted to see Max today! ...How 'bout that, I really do..." Probably one of the only times Fletcher tells the truth in a way that doesn’t make him look bad, showing how he genuinely cares for his son.
* When Fletcher involuntarily says he's a bad father, then realizes [[HeelRealization he can say that only because it's true]], Audrey softens and says that he's ''not'' a bad father when he shows up.
* Jerry is a genuinely nice person, who is clearly head over heels for Audrey and adores Max as if he were his own son. He's even nice to Fletcher, despite the circumstances. He even tries to imitate 'The Claw' to try and cheer Max up.
* A bit of Fridge Heartwarming: When Greta quits on Fletcher, he begs her not to leave and finishes off with "I'll give you the raise!" Since the truth curse is active, he really was going to give her the raise.
* Granted remembering Max's birthday and getting him a gift is part of her job, it's still very sweet that Greta goes above and beyond to make sure Max has a gift that he'll adore.
* And because Greta is a CoolOldLady, an additional entry of her being the one to bail out Fletcher from jail once she heard he told Mr. Allen in the courtroom to shove it.
-->'''Greta''': ''[at the jail cell, where Fletcher is sharing a cot with a large man]'' Am I too late? [[BlackComedy Have you been sexually assaulted yet]], because I could circle the block.
** Once they're outside:
--->'''Fletcher''': Yeah, I think I'm fired, isn't that great?! Maybe I'll start my own firm; do you need a job?\
'''Greta''': [[BrickJoke I don't think you can afford me.]]\
''[they laugh and hug]''
* When Fletcher unleashes his anger in court over the injustice of Samantha getting what she wants, he insists "[Richard] is a good father!" His being moved by seeing he legit loves his children—while clearly associating his own relationship with Max—is very effective.
** As confused as both Richard and Dana are at Fletcher all of a sudden breaking down and is then being taken away for it, they also seem to respect that he's going to bat for the other side because Richard's morally right even if not legally so.
** Probably the best part of this is that as he watches the crestfallen Richard rising to his feet after Samantha tears the kids away from him and leaves while demanding he get busy writing her checks, Mr. Allen's comment about children being leverage, effectively little more than pawns in a game of lies, is what seems to finally break Reede and he ultimately rejects the partnership he had worked and clawed his way up to in total disgust. Despite everything, he knew what was truly important and in that moment refused to be associated with anyone who thought of kids as little more than tools to play in a game of deceit.
