They each think that their own favourite food (honey for Pooh and acorns for Piglet) would be the best bait, but switch sides upon realising that they'd have to give up some of their own food.

He remembers his uncle mentioning seeing honey-coloured cheese and uses this as an excuse to "check" if it's cheese.
