[[folder:In General...]]
* Early on, whenever the Final Spin landed on Bankrupt, the slide whistle would still sound to rub it in. This also dates back to the Chuck Woolery era.
* Several times during Sajak's original daytime run, the puzzles would either include mild profanity (e.g., "HELL BENT FOR ELECTION") or, because only part of the puzzle was revealed, the puzzle board showed a profanity (e.g., "DAVID HASSELHOFF" with the A's and S's uncovered but, among other letters, not the Hs or the E). Pat was sure to make a big deal out of things.
** Once, a partially filled-in puzzle that eventually led to BARBECUE SPIT had, among other letters, the "P" still uncovered, and a contestant called an "H." "Thankfully, no," noted Pat.
** A contestant humorously tried to avert this once. A woman opted to solve the partially filled puzzle FRANKLY MY DEAR I DON'T GIVE A DAMN but replaced the last word with DARN. The answer was not accepted, obviously.
** September 17, 2004: Part of the puzzle ASSEMBLY & THE DOTTED LINE is filled in, leaving ASS_____ on the top row. After the E is called, Pat remarks "Praise the Lord!"
** March 5, 2009: A Before & After puzzle reads _A___ ____ SHI_T. After an incorrect letter and a Bankrupt, a contestant finally calls the R, to which Pat says "Thank you!" (The answer was MARCO POLO SHIRT.)
* On several occasions during the shopping era, Pat would play with various prizes on the turntable during the intro, which often sent then-announcer Jack Clark [[{{Corpsing}} into fits of laughter]].
* In the trilon-era puzzle board, Pat would sometimes [[SignsOfDisrepair remove or replace letters]] on Bonus Round puzzles. Examples include NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS becoming NEW GLAND, FRANK SINATRA becoming RANK RATS and BEST MAN becoming BEAST.
* Some incorrect solves can be pretty funny too, and Pat will occasionally poke a little fun at their answer. (Bonus points if any incorrect letters still fit the blanks, and even more if the required letters haven't been called yet.)
** Vanna's favorite mis-solve was when a contestant guessed MORE FUN THAN A BARREL OF VIKINGS. The actual answer was MORE FUN THAN A BARREL OF MONKEYS.
* Just about any time Pat's First or Final Spin lands on a penalty or prize wedge is funny[[note]](These, however, have been edited out since 1997)[[/note]]. When he lands on Bankrupt or Lose a Turn, Pat mentally facepalms and gives a little quip.
** May 31, 1990: Pat's Final Spin lands on Bankrupt ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pv33JWBdY8 three times in a row]]''. His fourth spin? [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome $5,000.]]
** One Final Spin landed on a Wheel prize, which happened to be a rug. Pat remarked the show doesn't have ten rugs to away.
** He also landed on Surprise once, quipping, "The host can't get a surprise, he has enough of those."
* A few contestants have jokingly tried to hold onto any pieces of cardboard in their possession despite having just lost them to Bankrupt.
* Sometimes, if a contestant solves a bonus puzzle after getting little to no help from their letters, Pat will pretend to search them. One instance was shown during the ceremonial 4,000th episode, when a contestant from the week of February 5, 2001 solved [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sqq9zZR0fHI#t=1m01s GOPHER]] despite getting no help from his extra letters.
** Perhaps the most notable is contestant Emil on March 19, 2014, who managed to solve NEW BABY BUGGY even though the other letters he called were of no help. First of all, it took the tech crew a couple seconds to light up the answer (likely because they were incredulous that he had actually solved it), followed by Pat once again pretending to frisk him.
* Pretty much any time a contestant lands on a Mystery Wedge when they already have more than $15,000 on the table; Pat will still ask if the contestant wants to risk it, albeit sarcastically.
* Unknown what version, but there was once a contestant who kept yelling out "Come on, BM, BM, BM!", apparently blissfully unaware that "BM" is typically used as an abbreviation for "bowel movement."
* Kind of cruel, but it is admittedly pretty funny when all three contestants spin and land on Bankrupt consecutively, leaving no one with any money.
* From Seasons 29-36, any time a contestant wins "three halves" of a car by solving for three 1/2 Car tags during the game.
* Any time Pat comments on the Speed-Up music.

[[folder:Daytime (1975-91)]]
* Early 1977: When the famous slide whistle was first added to accompany a contestant spinning Bankrupt, Chuck gets spooked and yells, "What was ''that''!?"
* March 27, 1979: After Round 2 begins with ''three consecutive Bankrupts'', Chuck responds to this by beginning the Round 2 opening spiel again. This is followed by Lose A Turn, and ''finally'' the blue contestant lands on a dollar value... only to call a wrong letter.
* June 20, 1980: Some funny moments here.
** Susan comes out in a cute pink dress to which Chuck says "Well, you look like a little Swedish girl!"
** Charlie has a little tickle in his throat while describing the watches in round 1.
** Charlotte wins round 2 with $2050. She says "I want one thing for my husband!" Chuck says "You'll probably get him the candy dish." Later she reluctantly takes the candy dish but Chuck assures her that he was only joking, so they take that off. Charlotte buys the print because "She has to." Chuck says the picture was better than the last print which had "17 lizards sucking on an orange."
** Ken wins round 3 with $3500. He buys the twin motorcycles for him and his son. Chuck didn't think Ken had a son old enough to drive yet. Ken says "By the time he's old enough, we'll let him drive." Chuck jokes "Maybe by the time you get them, he'll be old enough." He then finds out that the prizes are delivered within 90 days and at the end of the show admits that he didn't know that.
** Chuck hits a bankrupt on his first final spin. His second final spin is only $200 and he says "That's the pits!" After Linda solves with $1200, he apologizes to her for not hitting a higher amount.
* December 25, 1981: On Chuck's last day, Susan gives him a pair of goggles with miniature windshield wipers.
* December 28, 1981: A couple of moments from Pat's first day.
** After introducing himself for the first time and giving a heartwarming thanks to original host Chuck Woolery, he quipped "And now, I'd like to announce that ''I'm'' leaving the show..."
** Round 2 had a contestant with $2,650 decide ''not'' to pick a hot tub valued at $2,195, instead purchasing the other '''10''' prizes in the showcase. This led to him getting a $849 gift certificate and a two-minute marathon voiceover for announcer Jack Clark. Pat had fun ribbing the contestant for this decision.
* Sometime during his first week, aired between December 29-31, 1981: A contestant missolves a puzzle as "ABRAHAM BINCOLN." Sajak later quips that the man in question would be the one who delivered the Bettysburg Address.
* 1982: One contestant gets caught in a movie's craze and solves the puzzle IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE as [[Film/ETTheExtraTerrestrial E.T.]] TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE.
* September 3, 1982: Pat holds up a cue card with the number 4 written on it, saying "This is the number ''I'' drew, and that made me a loser."
* Sometime during 1984: [[https://youtu.be/gSEp1cziumQ Pat is a prize]]
* January 9, 1989: On Pat's final daytime show, he tells Vanna "Come here, baby" before they start kissing. Creator/MervGriffin then sneaks up behind Pat and taps him on the back, at which point he stops. After Pat finally notices Merv, he jumps back in surprise and then picks up a Free Spin on the railing to kiss it.
* Early 1989: A game ends in a tie. Rolf Benirschke looks at the camera and says he doesn't know what to do.[[note]]No BonusRound is played, and all three contestants play another game on the next show.[[/note]]
* Early 1989: In what is believed to be the first time someone mis-solves a fully revealed puzzle, at least two contestants mispronounce the answer SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS.
* Week of March 20, 1989: Rolf congratulates himself on hitting $2,000 on his Final Spin... only to have one of the contestants tell him he's looking at the wrong arrow. He had actually spun Bankrupt. And this was during Teen Week.
* C. 1990: Bob Goen constantly hits penalty wedges for the Final Spin, so he asks Vanna to spin for him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Nighttime (1983-Current Day)]]
* From early in the syndicated run, [[http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1415fs_wheel-of-fortune-curtain-fail-1983_videogames Pat and Vanna have a little problem with the curtain]].
* An episode from late November or early December 1984:
** In Round 1, the red contestant hits the Free Spin wedge three times in a row, and then a fourth time after calling two letters, after which she cheers the Wheel to land ''away from the wedge''. She uses "only" one Free Spin in this round.
** In Round 3, Pat runs up to the board to reveal the apostrophe in the puzzle. After the blue contestant loses her turn, the red contestant eventually solves for $15,700 with a little help from her three remaining Free Spins.
* December 5, 1985: After contestant Niki solves her bonus puzzle, her family races to her, prompting Pat to scream "Oh no!" and struggle free. He takes off his jacket, then runs back to Niki to open the door to the Mazda [=RX7=] she just won. All while time, as she is mobbed by her family, she squeals her Bonus Round answer, "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT" repeatedly. The look on Pat's face is priceless, and Jack Clark tries to hold in his laughter following promotional copy as Pat pretends to pass out during the closing credits.[[note]](This was the same episode as the famous THE THRILL OF VICTORY AND THE AGONY OF DEFEAT episode in which another contestant lost $62,400 on a bad letter call. Needless to say, this was an exciting episode, wherein Niki's big win -- all told, she won $28,716, including also a bedroom set and a trip to Europe -- trumped the earlier loss.)[[/note]]
* December 23, 1988: Pat's Christmas gift to the viewers: "singing" "White Christmas" in an [[StylisticSuck intentionally off-key manner]] while Vanna accompanied him on the piano.
* January or early February 1989:
-->'''Pat:''' What would you like to play for [in the Bonus Round]?\
'''Contestant:''' Vanna White!
** The contestant then added that he actually wanted to play for $25,000 cash, prompting then-announcer M.G. Kelly to say "I was getting ready to tell him about Vanna!"
* Spring 1989 (sometime after Charlie O'Donnell's return): This exchange in the bonus round:
-->'''Pat:''' So what are you going to play for?
-->'''Contestant:''' The good ol' American cash.
-->'''Pat:''' He stole your line, Charlie! You're gonna have to ad-lib!
-->'''Charlie:''' (''laughs'') Okay, solve the puzzle and you win good ol' cold cash that adds up to $25,000. Good luck!
-->'''Pat:''' Yeah, after 70 years in the business, you know he's good.
* Spring 1989 (again, sometime after Charlie O'Donnell's return): A contestant faced with _ANC_ T_AT as her Bonus Round puzzle mumbles TWAT which has to be censored by the ''Series/{{Pyramid}}'' cuckoo[[note]](Answer: FANCY THAT)[[/note]].
* September 8, 1989: The yellow contestant has won Rounds 1-3, so Pat consoles the other contestants by saying, "Things can change around here in a hurry." The blue contestant then points to the yellow contestant and replies "We gotta get rid of ''him'', though!"
* October 17, 1989: The puzzle DESE DEM AND DOSE GUYS (supposed to be a thickly-accented "these, them, and those guys") is completely filled-in. The contestant reads the first word as "Desi", and Pat turns to then-producer Nancy Jones for a reading, adding "I know it's a crummy puzzle." She has the contestant say it again, which he does (with the same mistake), and Pat just says "[[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem Listen, he's got all the letters up, I'm taking it]]."
* October 30, 1989: The puzzle reads _AR_EC_E S_IT. Contestant calls an "H". Pat's response? "Happily, no." (It was BARBECUE SPIT, which the next contestant filled in entirely before solving.)
** In another episode, the Bonus Round puzzle was "CUSSWORDS." Pat suggested – jokingly, of course – that the contestant's mouth needed to be [[SoapPunishment washed out with soap]].
* During the speed round in a 1989 episode, Pat Sajak [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pv33JWBdY8 tries not to let the Wheel land on Bankrupt during the final spin]]. The Wheel, however, refuses to cooperate.
* May 7, 1992: A Before & After puzzle of R__ T__ T__ ___ is shown during a Speed-Up. A contestant guesses RIP THE TIE OFF to which Pat remarks, "Nice thought." The answer was RIN TIN TIN CAN.
* November 24, 1992: On Soap Opera College Challenge, Jill Larson of ''All My Children'' is stumped on the puzzle _ & _ CHROMOSOMES. She spins again, exclaims "Oh!" as the answer hits her while the Wheel is spinning… but she lands on Lose a Turn. Her opponents then hit Lose a Turn ''also'', causing her to laugh uproariously as she then solves X & Y CHROMOSOMES for $2,950 (plus $1,000 more for a bonus question asked by then-announcer Charlie O'Donnell — "what do they determine?" — to which she gives the correct answer of "gender").
* December 28, 1992: The puzzle is BATHTUB GIN & FLAPPERS, in the category of The Twenties. It's also followed by a question, asking what the most popular dance was in the 1920s. The contestant couldn't come up with the name Charleston, so he said "the one that goes like this" and started dancing the Charleston. They took it as a right answer.
* February 25, 1993: A Slang puzzle with B_TT_NSKY revealed. That's easy to solve, isn't it? [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhJM3SrR1pA Well, not quite. Watch this clip, and you'll see our point.]]
* Unknown, 1993: When the yellow contestant calls a D, the incorrect buzzer sounds first, then a D appears in the puzzle. Then the contestant on blue spins the wheel thinking it's their turn...
-->'''Pat:''' ''[as the blue contestant spins the wheel]'' No, hang on, hang on! ''[as he stops the wheel from spinning]'' Whoops, I am going to stop this wheel here. That buzzer flew us all by mistake, and the D was in the puzzle.
* January 1994: [[https://youtu.be/-iJ9fnOXv6k Raymond Taylor]], an undefeated champion who on his first day acted like he was a stoner the show pulled in when a contestant didn't show up. [[BunnyEarsLawyer He ended up being a lot better than he looked and acted]], which he proved by winning all three of his appearances with a total of over $81,000; indeed, he was so popular that he came back for "Some of the Greats!" the following year.
** HarsherInHindsight: Raymond ended up getting obsessed with the show, to the point of trespassing on the set, and in 1997 was banned from even so much as being in the audience via court order.
* May 3, 1994: Music/WeirdAlYankovic plays during a celebrity week. He's clearly having a blast up there, and being the Weird Al we all know and love. Among his humorous moves are asking to buy an umlaut, [[MythologyGag trying to buy prizes after solving a puzzle]], and saying the BonusRound answer ''very'' slowly so it takes up the entire 10 seconds...then proceeding to run around a lot in victory and jump into Pat's arms.
** And related to that, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIoyTsbRdII Al recounting a story from that week in 2013]] concerning Music/JamesBrown...
* December 15, 1994: When the bonus puzzle "ZORRO" is not solved, Pat starts singing the theme to the old Walt Disney TV series ''Series/Zorro1957''.
* February 24, 1995: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBabJo92i_M The rest of this round]], all the way to the commercial break.
* March 1, 1995: A contestant solves the [[ThatOneLevel Megaword]] puzzle [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwPu4tyQUNA BOMBASTIC]] and uses it in a sentence — "Being on ''Wheel of Fortune'' is a bombastic experience."
-->'''Pat:''' Let's turn to that part of the ''Series/WheelOfFortune'' rulebook called "The Giant Gray Area", and see what our Producer says.\
'''Nancy:''' If she really feels ''that way''.\
(''Pat laughs for a few seconds'') Our producer — Nancy Jones, by the way — has said "If she really feels that way", so we're accepting this? (''applause; Pat picks up the contestant's prize wedge'') ...Yeah.
* March 24, 1995: In the Speed-Up round, SCR__ is showing on a Slang puzzle. An old lady calls W. (The answer was SCRAM.)
* June 1, 1995: Pat uses the closing chat to voice a gripe he has about the Free Spin: it could also be used to buy a vowel or solve the puzzle, so Pat thinks it should be called "Free Turn". In the previous episode, Vanna complained about the "bonus area" where contestants celebrate with their relatives.
-->'''Pat:''' What are we gonna gripe about tomorrow?\
'''Vanna:''' I don't know.\
'''Pat:''' See, we're finding flaws in this show. [[SelfDeprecation Just because it's a big hit doesn't mean it doesn't have flaws.]]
* September 12, 1995: A Speed-Up puzzle is an Event. It starts out reasonably well, but then things go awry:
** With the puzzle reading N _ W P _ R T | _ _ _ _ | F _ S T _ V _ L, Kellie guesses NEWPORT GAME FESTIVAL and NEWPORT SNOW FESTIVAL. (Pat: "When we get to NEWPORT FISH FESTIVAL, I'm leaving.")
** Janice calls O and guesses NEWPORT MIME FESTIVAL. Pat completely cracks up and then says, "If anyone says MACADAMIA FESTIVAL..."[[note]]one of the previous puzzles had MACADAMIA in it[[/note]]
** Samantha calls E and there are two E's... neither of which is in the middle word, leading to further snark from Pat.
** Kellie calls an I, then guesses NEWPORT CAMP FESTIVAL and NEWPORT JUNK FESTIVAL.
** Janice calls M and Samantha calls H, neither of which are in the puzzle.
** Kellie calls an A... and sure enough, the until-then blank second word has another letter filled in! (An audience member can be heard shouting "Hey!" when this happens, leading Pat to call for silence.)
** Janice calls U, Samantha calls B, and Kellie calls J. Kellie offers NEWPORT JAM FESTIVAL and NEWPORT JAIL FESTIVAL.
** Finally, Janice calls the Z's and, to the applause of the audience, reads off the now completely filled-in answer NEWPORT JAZZ FESTIVAL.
* November 1995: Pat kills a fly on the Wheel during a Seattle episode by swatting it with the Surprise wedge.
* November-December 1995: Charlie O'Donnell is ill during the taping sessions, so ''Series/{{Jeopardy}}'' announcer Johnny Gilbert fills in for him. This leads to several exchanges:
** November 29:
--->'''Pat''': This is not like ''Jeopardy!'', you know. If somebody wins something, they actually take their money home. Not like ''Jeopardy!'', where if you finish in second place with $10,000, you get a lounge chair!
--->'''Johnny''': [[DeadpanSnarker But it's a $10,000 lounge chair.]]
--->'''Pat''': Oh, okay, fine, thank you. (''cringes'') I think I struck a nerve.
** November 30:
--->'''Pat''': Hey, Johnny, do me a favor. Just once this week, you gotta say "This is ''Jeopardy!''" Go ahead.
--->'''Johnny''': You want me to do it now?... This... is... ''Jeopardy!''
--->(''audience applauds'')
--->'''Pat''': It's not! Put your remotes down!
--->'''Johnny''': (''cracks up'')
* December 1, 1995: Pat has been teasing Vanna about her decision to cut her hair. He pulls out a huge pair of scissors and turns Vanna around, much to her shock. She's obviously nervous, making comments like "He's really gonna do it, isn't he?" He does. During the credits, he passes out clippings to members of the audience.
* September 12, 1996: Pat and Vanna are talking about the Jackpot wedge that will debut on the next Monday's show. He holds it upside-down and says "Beginning next week we have our Topkcaj..." before Vanna smirks, takes the wedge, and turns it right-side up.
* November 15, 1996: In the middle of the round, Pat runs up to the puzzle board to adjust the ampersand in the puzzle due to it being crooked.
* November 21, 1996: Still recovering from laryngitis, Pat and Vanna switch roles for the bonus round. Cue Pat working the board in the absolute most exuberant and over-the-top way he can. For instance, he starts off by holding his hands out under the board (in a bit of a ta-da fashion) from when the round starts until letters start lighting. Then when he goes to turn them... "I'm exhausted."
* February 21, 1997: Pat and Vanna mention that the trilon-based puzzle board will be retired. Vanna then turns letters that reveal FOR SALE.
* February 24, 1997:
** After the new electronic puzzle board is unveiled, Pat can't resist getting a few jabs in.
--->'''Pat:''' And now, ladies and gentlemen... presenting our new puzzle board.\
''[the curtain rises revealing the new puzzle board, and the audience cheers]''\
'''Pat:''' I'm all goosebumpy!... I'll bet ya a dollar it don't work.\
...\
'''Pat:''' You're not too tired, are ya? How could you make her--they sat around saying, "How can we make her job even ''easier''?"
** At the end of the episode, Vanna shows Pat the new puzzle board, but when he touches the letters, they don't seem to work.
* April 1, 1997: The AprilFoolsDay episode hosted by Creator/AlexTrebek.
** Alex opening the show by referencing that he was substitute once: "I must have done such a good job that the producers couldn't wait to ask me back, and so here I am today... ''sixteen years later''."
** Pat said "I'll take a P", and (although there were two P's in the puzzle) Alex chided him with "[[ThatCameOutWrong An unfortunate choice of words]]". Pat responded with "[[IAlwaysWantedToSayThat I've been saving that one for 15 years.]]"
* May 8, 1997: A special charity episode featuring celebrities and their moms playing together. Bonnie Hunt accidentally spins before her letter can be revealed, so she abruptly stops the Wheel and proceeds to spend a great deal of time ChewingTheScenery before re-spinning. Pat could barely contain his demeanor, finally telling her to "spin the damn Wheel!"
* May 28, 1997: A letter on the puzzle board refuses to show, so Vanna resorts to [[PercussiveMaintenance hitting the monitor with her fist]].
* September 11, 1997: Sandy lands on $250, but she's looking at the wrong arrow, so she thinks she's landed on Bankrupt and says "Damn!" Pat then quips "A little editing and no one will know." After she calls a letter then asks to solve, he says, "We wish the hell you would!"
* September 23, 1997: A contestant is faced with only ___RD__N showing for her BonusRound puzzle. She says [[ToiletHumor FART]] twice in the waning seconds, and Pat sings "Banana-fana bo-bart".[[note]]Answer: GUARDIAN[[/note]]
* October 17, 1997: In this ColdOpen, the hosts address a common misconception about themselves:
-->'''Vanna:''' ''(while knitting a sweater)'' Pat, do you think our audience sort of thinks of us as a...\
'''Pat:''' ''(while reading a newspaper)'' A married couple? Which, of course, we're not.\
'''Vanna:''' No, we're not. But we've been together for--\
'''Pat:''' [[FinishingEachOthersSentences Fifteen years.]]\
'''Vanna:''' And we've shared a lot of--\
'''Pat:''' Laughs.\
'''Vanna:''' And a lot of--\
'''Pat:''' Memories.\
'''Vanna:''' But like a married couple?\
''([[{{Beat}} Pat and Vanna look at each other]], then go back to what they were doing)''\
'''Both:''' [[HypocriticalHumor Nah.]]
* October 24, 1997: Contestant James has just solved the Slogan puzzle THE BEST TO YOU EACH MORNING and has a chance to guess whose slogan it is.
-->'''James''': I'm guessing Maxwell House coffee.
-->'''Pat''': Well, that's a fine guess...
-->'''James''': '''''[[BigYes YES!]]''''' (''{{Beat}}'') Was I right?
-->(''buzzer sounds'')
-->'''Pat''': [[BluntNo No]].[[note]]Answer: Kellogg's[[/note]]
* Season 15 (1997-98): "Put down that ____, Charlie, it's time for our Jackpot round!"
* January 26, 1998: After the puzzle THE GERBER BABY is solved, a stagehand gives Pat a jar of baby food. He takes two bites and then says, "I need to change my Pull-Up now," which leads to Charlie {{corpsing}} his way through the prize copy immediately afterward.
* May 4, 1998: Contestant Sherry picks up the $10,000 Wedge, but does not flip it upside-down at first. Pat tells her to turn it around, and ''she rotates it left and right instead.'' Pat eventually walks up to her at the blue spot, and she says she just wanted Pat to come over there, after which Pat stated that was his line.
* October 8, 1998: The winning contestant jumps on her husband after winning a car in the bonus round. Pat and Vanna replay a clip of this during the closing chat, leading to this fine snark:
-->'''Pat:''' 16 years on the show and you've never jumped on ''me'' like that.\
'''Vanna:''' Well, you've never given me a car!\
'''Pat:''' Well, there you go!
* January 6, 1999: One contestant can impersonate Film/ForrestGump, and another can impersonate [[WesternAnimation/WileECoyoteAndTheRoadrunner the Road Runner]]. In response to this, Pat asks the former to do [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs Forrest Gump as the Road Runner]], which he does.
* May 12, 1999: When Jon auditioned for the show, they asked him what he would do if he won $25,000. He responded by going over to a cardboard cutout of Pat and kissing it on the lips. After Jon wins the game, Pat brings out a cardboard cutout of himself, and Jon gives it a big smooch to wild applause from the audience.
-->'''Pat:''' I just wanna warn you: should you win, your kissing days are over, pal, okay?
* November 11, 1999:
** Joe is unable to solve a Puzzler, mumbling "Oh, Jesus" before time runs out. Pat remarks, "That guess was wrong."
** During the Speed-Up, Joe calls a B and blurts out "Oh, Jesus!" when he realizes it had already been called. Pat then quips that Joe is an "extremely religious man".
** And to top it off, he thinks A GROUP OF PILL-PUSHERS is the answer to the puzzle even though he just said the letter P. Pat [[ActuallyPrettyFunny chuckles]] as does the entire audience, then a moment later he exclaims to the audience "[[ScrewThisImOuttaHere Goodnight everyone! 331* April 29, 2015: During "Show Your Disney Side" ColdOpen, Donald Duck is upset that the puzzle board reads WHEEL WELCOMES [[BerserkButton MICKEY MOUSE]] AND FRIENDS. He programs the board to say WHEEL WELCOMES DONALD DUCK, much to Minnie's chagrin.
* October 2, 2015: One contestant lands on a Mystery wedge three times in a row, declining the flip all three times. Later on, she loses her turn. The next contestant spins and looks like he's about to hit a Mystery wedge too, only to have the Wheel stop just a tad short on Lose a Turn. His response? "Aw, man, I wanted to flip it!"
* February 17, 2016: After a team solves the Prize Puzzle GONDOLA RIDE THROUGH VENICE, Pat asks the husband of the team where he thinks they are going. He responds with "[[ComicallyMissingThePoint Paris, France]]", after which Pat bursts into laughter. Cue the contestant's wife adding, "So do we still get [the prize]?"
* September 26, 2016: After failing to solve Round 2, Bill pretends to run offstage with the Million Dollar Wedge and $10,000 Mystery prize.
* December 23, 2016: A contestant calls T on a Mystery Wedge... and gets ''ten'' in the puzzle[[note]](Rhyme Time: THREE LITTLE KITTENS THEY LOST THEIR MITTENS)[[/note]] for a total of $10,000. If he'd have flipped the wedge, he could have gotten exactly what he gambled for (plus for added hilarity, the $10,000 was on the other side). Unfortunately, he hit a Bankrupt later on in the round.
* December 29, 2016: Vanna does push-ups during the credits, with the audience counting along. After the credits, cut to TheStinger, where Vanna is doing more push-ups, and the audience counts off "115... 116..."
* From the February 2, 2017 show:
** Contestant Bob Stulsatz, the day's winner, is greeted with this layout after selecting his letters for the bonus puzzle:
--> □□T□O□T\
□ □ORD
** Bob stands there without even a guess as the clock winds down to zero. When the puzzle is revealed (WITHOUT A WORD), Bob responds, [[IronicEcho "That's exactly where I was."]] The crowd breaks out in laughter for five seconds before Pat responds, "Don't encourage him!" Upon the episode's credit roll, Pat stands offscreen as Vanna converses with Bob.
* March 21, 2017: The board reads "[[Theatre/AStreetcarNamedDesire A STREETCAR NA_ED DESIRE]]"; the contestant guesses a "K", and after a moment's pause and some gasping from the audience, Pat replied "Noooo" in a self-restrained [[WhatTheHellPlayer don't go there]] tone. The next player correctly guesses "M" and wins the round, prompting Pat to quip that "although you got the right answer, [[NakedPeopleAreFunny I'd rather see Kevin’s play.]]"
* June 9, 2017: Pat goes to [[LetsJustSeeWhatWouldHaveHappened reveal the location of the $1,000,000 envelope]] after a lost BonusRound. He then opens up an envelope, only to realize it's the wrong one -- so he clicks the bonus wheel over one envelope, only to realize it's ''still'' the wrong one. Cue him {{face palm}}ing, throwing the envelopes on the wheel, and then finally spinning it again to pick the right one.
* September 2017: At the end of one of the Fall Foilage episodes, Pat talked about how he used to say "foilage" as "foil-age", and that the red autumn leaves are falling because they are dead.
* October 27, 2017: When one member of a team mentions that her husband could not make it, a picture of him peeks out from behind the Million Dollar Wedge held by her teammate's husband to show that he's "here in spirit".
-->'''Pat:''' After 35 years, everyone starts to go.
* December 8, 2017: Contestant Bobby has won the game and will proceed to the BonusRound, but one of his opponents is holding the Million Dollar Wedge, leading to this exchange:
-->'''Bobby:''' Can she give it to me?
-->'''Pat:''' [[BluntNo No]]. Hush.
* February 1, 2018: The yellow contestant (and later big winner of the night) David has a surprise for all of us... he's the former official back-up voice for ''[[Series/BarneyAndFriends "a famous purple dinosaur in children's television"]]''.
-->'''David (as Barney):''' ''Wheel Of Fortune'' is super-dee-duper!!
* May 8, 2018: Pat points out contestant Adrian's shoes, so he takes one off and presents it to everyone, revealing that the shoe is golden, and shouts, "Bam!" Pat then does the same with his ordinary black shoe and shouts, "Boring!"
* May 25, 2018: At the end of the game, Pat walks over to the blue contestant and sets up a joke: that she can either go home right now, or go to the bonus round. She's not at all focused on what Pat is asking though and instead is just thinking of what category she wants to do for the bonus round. As such, her "response" to his question ends up being the complete NonSequitur "What are you wearing?" The unintended laughter that results from it ends up with Pat completely losing his train of thought and by the time they finish laughing, he can't even remember what the other two category choices were!
* October 3, 2018: There is a Characters puzzle of B_RB__ _ND __N in the Speed-Up round. A contestant guesses [[INeedAFreakingDrink BOURBON AND GIN]] instead of BARBIE AND KEN.
* November 2, 2018: At the end of the show, when Pat and Vanna usually have a back-and-forth dialog, they instead play out a scene in chaise lounges set on a beachfront patio. They both communicate through ThoughtBubbleSpeech:
-->'''Pat:''' Gee, what a beautiful day it is...\
'''Vanna:''' Although it seems like we're sitting kind of far apart.\
'''Pat:''' I feel so relaxed.\
'''Vanna:''' These drinks would taste better [[LampshadeHanging if there was actually some liquid in the glasses]].\
'''Pat:''' You know, sitting out here, I've discovered two things--\
'''Vanna:''' What's that?\
'''Pat:''' ''(as Pat tries to reposition himself)'' I don't think I can get out of this chair! And another thing... ''(tries eating a piece of fruit)'' [[FakeFood this fruit is made out of wax]]. Bye!\
'''Vanna:''' Bye!
** After this exchange, they both start napping. Vanna's dream centers around a CuteKitten, which draws a collective "aww" from the studio audience. The subject of Pat's dream: Himself.
* April 5, 2019: After the bonus round contestant loses out on '''$100,000''', Pat just keeps on closing and opening the envelope, with the audience groaning each time.
* April 19, 2019: Before the Prize Puzzle, Pat asks Vanna if he is forgetting something, at which point she reveals REMEMBER LESLY & JUDY'S BIRTHDAYS ARE THIS SUNDAY on the puzzle board. (Lesly is Pat's wife, and Judy is executive producer Harry Friedman's wife.)
* October 14, 2019: Blair's interview provides some excellent SelfDeprecation.
-->'''Blair''': I've been trapped in a loveless marriage for the last 12 years to an old battle-axe named Kim. She cursed my life with three stepchildren named Star, RJ, and Ryan, and I have one rotten grandson.
* December 9, 2019: Thanks to Pat's surgery giving Vanna ADayInTheLimelight, things don't go quite as planned during the Final Spin. Vanna ends up looking at the wrong arrow, which has landed on Bankrupt, and one of the stagehands corrects her.
-->'''Vanna''': [[SelfDeprecation How do you do this show?!]]
* October 16, 2019: This set of Triple Toss-Up puzzles, all in the category of "Event": BUYING A NEW OUTFIT, STARTING A NEW DIET, and HIGH SCHOOL REUNION.
* February 10, 2020: Andy, a rancher from North Dakota with a thick Midwestern accent, a mustache, and a very off-kilter charm. Highlights include Pat calling him a "[[{{pun}} jolly rancher]]" when he cheers upon claiming the $10,000 Mystery Wedge, and then this exchange.
-->'''Pat''': We're gonna pick a category, and then we'll go out and rope some dogies.
-->'''Andy''': (''laughs'') You sure you're man enough?
-->(''audience groans'')
* October 12, 2020: Patrick wins $100,000, but no confetti or streamers fall. As this episode is taped during the COVID-19 pandemic, viewers might assume it's one more precaution the show is taking. However, Pat says during the close that the confetti machine malfunctioned and jokingly blames new executive producer Mike Richards. To make up for the blunder, Pat and Vanna recreate the moment by throwing handfuls of confetti onto Patrick. As a kicker, the new boss is listed as Mike "Confetti" Richards in the credits.
** This later became a RunningGag when multiple other $100,000 wins (and a house win) occured later in the season, despite the confetti machine working the other times. Until Mike's tenure as executive producer ended, he was credited as "Mike 'Confetti' Richards" on episodes with $100,000+ wins.
* October 29, 2020: Contestant Remick immediately figures out the final puzzle with the letters given and enthusiastically exclaims the answer ("SAVORY APPETIZERS") before Pat can even finish saying "Good luck". Pat (in jest) chides her afterward for not giving him time to build up tension.
* November 20, 2020: Things go awry during the Triple Toss-Up Round.
** Allison rings in on the first one and says BIRTHDAY WISH, which is wrong. Michael guesses BIRTHDAY CAKE, which is also wrong. Caitlin then gives the right answer of BIRTHDAY CARD.
** Allison immediately rings in on the second one and says BIRTHDAY WISH again, which is right this time.
** With only the Y showing on the third one, Caitlin rings in and says BIRTHDAY CAKE, which is still wrong. Michael accidentally rings in and is locked out. Finally, Allison rings in and provides the right answer of... BIRTHDAY SUIT.
* November 25, 2020: Darin [[WhoWritesThisCrap calls out the puzzle writers]] after "OVEN" is part of an answer to the Crossword round "Kitchen ____":
-->'''Darin''': "Kitchen oven"? What was that?
-->'''Pat''': Yeah, where else would you keep your oven?
-->'''Darin''': For sure in the kitchen, but who calls it a "kitchen oven"?
-->'''Pat''': You won! Don't argue, Darin! You got the puzzle! Ungrateful players! I've had it!
** Reruns of this episode edit out this exchange, likely because Pat was being scrutinized by the media and non-fans for yelling at Darin, as if he were being serious.
* December 11, 2020: Stephanie is faced with BEG_NN_NG TO ____LE in the Bonus Round after picking PHGO on a Phrase. Her first (and only) guess? BEGINNING TO [[ToiletHumor TINKLE]], to the amusement of Pat and the crew. (The puzzle was BEGINNING TO FIZZLE; "TINKLE" was not a possible fit due to T and N already being revealed elsewhere.)
* February 19, 2021: Pat has a little trouble getting the Bonus Round envelope out of its holder after the Bonus Wheel stops. When he finally does, he accidentally looks inside.
-->'''Pat''': I know what she's playing for and you don't!
* October 25, 2021: This series of Triple Toss-Up puzzles: THROWING A BOOMERANG, CATCHING A BOOMERANG and DUCKING UNDER A BOOMERANG.
* November 19, 2021: The Triple Toss-Up solutions are so obscure that the contestants are completely befuddled, and Pat has to explain them: MR. MICROPHONE, POCKET FISHERMAN, and MIRACLE BROOM were products given away as bonuses on late-night infomercials.[[note]]More specifically, as Pat cannot say it due to trademark reasons, they were products sold by [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronco Ronco]], a home appliances manufacturer most well known for its infomercials in the 1970s and 1980s. Ronco is best known [[TropeNamer for coining the "-o-Matic" suffix for gimmicky devices]].[[/note]]
* January 12, 2022: This series of Triple Toss-Up puzzles: STUDYING PHYSICS, GOING TO MEDICAL SCHOOL and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking PARALLEL PARKING]].
* March 1, 2022: The contestants are faced with ANOTHER FEATHER IN YO_R _A_. Two of them cannot guess the answer at all, repeatedly guessing wrong with ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR HAT, ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR LAP, and then ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR MAP.[[note]](Answer: ANOTHER FEATHER IN YOUR CAP)[[/note]]
** Later in the bonus round a contestant is challenged to solve B_R_ING __T____GS under the category Living Things. He guesses BARKING [[DeliciousDistraction HOT DOGS]].[[note]](Answer: BARKING WATCHDOGS)[[/note]]
* April 29, 2022: After two Triple Toss-Up puzzles of PEACH PIT and AVOCADO PIT, two contestants ring in with only _____ __T showing. The first contestant says APPLE PIT and is told that it's wrong. The second says [[Creator/BradPitt BRAD PITT]] to hysterical laughter from the audience. After the third player solves OLIVE PIT, Pat says, "We've got actors thrown in, we've got the worst athlete you've ever seen..."
* May 2, 2022: The first two puzzles of the Triple Toss-Up.
** First, a contestant rings in on ___ DOZEN D__GH__TS and says [[BigEater TEN DOZEN DOUGHNUTS]]. Another contestant immediately rings in with the answer of ONE DOZEN DOUGHNUTS. Pat says he liked the first contestant's response better.
** Second, with _N_ DO_EN _____RS showing, the first contestant to ring in says ONE DOZEN BURGERS. After the second contestant solves ONE DOZEN OYSTERS, Pat again says he preferred the first guess.
* May 5, 2022: The Bonus Round, with all of the combined letters, creates P__P _P T_E __L__E. The contestant immediately guesses [[ToiletHumor POOP UP THE]] and then frantically tries to come up with something, presumably a food, that can potentially be the last word. When he sees it's PUMP UP THE VOLUME, Pat requests for him to please stop saying "poop" over and over.
* May 9, 2022: A contestant wins $100,000 and proceeds to make "confetti angels" out of the confetti flown from the cannons.
* June 10, 2022: A Speed-Up puzzle has F_RT__T_ B_RT___Y PARTY showing. A contestant guesses [[VideoGame/{{Fortnite}} FORTNITE]] BIRTHDAY PARTY[[note]]Answer: FORTIETH BIRTHDAY PARTY[[/note]].
* November 9, 2022: John flips a Mystery Wedge, finds the Bankrupt, and promptly throws it behind him like a frisbee, hitting a set piece and falling to the floor. Only afterwards does he notice the bag behind the podium where lost wedges are meant to go.
-->'''John''': Oh, it's supposed to go there. (''points behind the podium'')
-->'''Pat''': You know, you just decapitated a stagehand who's been with us for 30 years. {{The show must go on}}.
* December 9, 2022: A contestant is unable to solve the puzzle ____N_ A LEA_.[[note]](Answer: FIXING A LEAK)[[/note]] She says she was thinking of [[UrineTrouble something else with a leak]] and didn't want to say it. This makes Pat drop the BonusRound envelope.
-->'''Pat''': Excuse me. Things get heavy sometimes.
* January 5, 2023: Upon winning the Bonus Round, a contestant [[ShakingTheRump twerks on Pat]].
-->'''Pat''': Did she just butt-bump me?!
* January 26, 2023: Ben fails to solve the Bonus Round puzzle TAKING A QUICK JOG, which had the category Fun & Games, prompting a quip from him.
-->'''Ben''': Well see, [[TakeThat I don't consider jogging fun and games]].
* April 4, 2023: Dane, whose father was on the show in 2018, does the Final Spin '''four times''' after hitting two Lose a Turns and a Bankrupt. For the first time since 1999, these spins were ''not'' edited out. After the Bankrupt, Pat walked over to Dane, who offered to have Pat do the Final Spin, as he used to do. Pat instead asks for his father's phone number.
* April 25, 2023: A contestant has _O_N_N_ THE _R__ showing for her BonusRound puzzle. For her third guess, she starts to say CRAP but stops herself. After she is unable to solve, Pat thanks her for her self-editing[[note]]Answer: JOINING THE FRAY[[/note]].
* November 9, 2023: A "Fun & Games" puzzle has STRI_ES, S_ARES, AND _UTTER BA__S showing.[[note]](Answer: STRIKES, SPARES, AND GUTTER BALLS)[[/note]] Contestant Matthew guesses STRIPES, STARS, AND BUTTER BARS, and [[OhCrapSmile immediately realizes that probably isn't right]].
-->'''Pat''': This will surprise you, but that's not correct.
-->'''Matthew''': Yes, I-, I recognize that. ''[chuckles]''
* On the November 28, 2023 post-game segment, Pat remarks that he accidentally bought whole milk instead of skim milk and wound up liking it. On the next show's segment, Pat said he likes whole milk so much that he now bathes in it. Vanna asks, "Pasteurized?" to which Pat says [[WhatsAHenway he only fills the tub up to his waist]]. He then uncomfortably signs off.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Wheel 2000]]
* November 1, 1997: The Round 2 puzzle is INTESTINE under the category Every Body. With the E's and the I's missing (in other words, only vowels left), the blue contestant buys an A. The red contestant has no points and gets buzzed out. The yellow contestant buys the E's to reveal _NTEST_NE but missolves the puzzle as ANTESTONE. The blue player then promptly solves INTESTINE for 2,000 points.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Celebrity Wheel of Fortune]]
* January 7, 2021 (premiere): Creator/ChandraWilson's response to Pat's announcement that there are no more vowels (after she purchased all of them):
-->'''Chandra''': How dare they!
* February 11, 2021: [[Series/CardSharks Joel McHale]] has no small amount of bad luck with the Wheel, constantly hitting Bankrupt and finishing dead last in both matches. At the end of the game, Pat gives Joel a memento of his time on the show: his very own Bankrupt wedge.
* February 25, 2021: In a match among [[Series/SharkTank Robert Herjavec]], [[Series/TheBachelor Chris Harrison]], and Creator/AlfonsoRibeiro, Pat is recapping the scores going into the final round. Robert has had bad luck all game and is still at $0.
-->'''Pat''': Alfonso has $10,000, Chris still the leader with $30,050, Robert's playing, and we have...
-->(''entire panel cracks up'')
-->'''Alfonso''': Wow.
-->'''Pat''': I never do that to players.
-->'''Alfonso''': Never see that jab coming.
-->'''Robert''': Thanks for building me up, Pat. I'm feeling really good.
-->'''Chris''': Sajak from the shot.
-->'''Pat''': I'm just angry when I brought that electric washboard to his show and they didn't buy it. They annoyed me.
* March 4, 2021: Creator/KevinNealon asks for a D as his next letter ... but Pat points out he needs to spin again first.
-->'''Pat''': We have a "D" for table 6, [[DoubleEntendre do you still want the "D"?]]
-->'''Kevin''': Uhhh, no. ''[laughter]''
* Also March 4, 2021: Things go awry when Sherri Shepherd, the aforementioned Kevin Nealon, and Creator/RachaelLeighCook try to play a Same Name puzzle. The answer is "VANNA & [[Series/BreakingBad WALTER WHITE]]", and everything is up there except for the V and A's. Things should be easy, but Sherri and Kevin immediately turn it into a "WhosOnFirst" routine. Same Name was never used again on the ''Celebrity'' series.
-->'''Sherri''': What's that first one right there? Huh, Pat? What's the first one?
-->'''Kevin''': Vanna, what's the first one?
-->'''Sherri''': What's the first-- Vanna, what's the first one right there? (''Vanna silently zips her lips'')
** After that, Sherri spins $3,500 but calls a C, after which Kevin barely avoids Bankrupt only to call an M. Control then goes to Rachael, who asks to solve:
-->'''Rachel''': I would like to say... (''turns to Sherri and Kevin'') ...and you guys, the clue is standing right in front of us! I think it's VANNA & WALTER WHITE!
* November 13, 2022: Creator/PaulScheer, Luenell, and Creator/MaryLynnRajskub play the Prize Puzzle, with the category being Fun & Games, with the answer being "THRILLING WATERSLIDES". Paul missolves by forgetting the S, followed by Lunell making the same mistake Paul did.
** That same episode, they try to play a Before & After puzzle. The answer is "ELECTRIC [[Creator/BillHader BILL HADER]]". All the letters are there except for the H. Luenell takes too long, and Mary Ann says '''V'''ADER instead of Hader. After the commercial break, Pat is seen apologizing to Bill Hader on the phone.
* October 4, 2023: Creator/KimFields has had a lot of bad luck with the Wheel, handing over solves to [[Creator/PennAndTeller Penn Jillette]] with ease. By Round 2 of the second half, she's had enough. At this point, a Before & After puzzle reads "DATE NIG_T _I_ION GOGGLE_".
-->'''Pat:''' Now, all the vowels are gone. If you don't know it go ahead and spin, because Penn is dying to solve.
-->'''Kim:''' I know, and I will ''not'' let you solve this one. (''spins'')
-->'''Penn:''' (''throwing [[MagicalGesture magical gestures]] at the Wheel'') Skip a turn! Miss a turn! Lose a turn! Lose a turn! Lose a turn! (''Wheel stops on Lose a Turn'')
-->'''Kim:''' NO! NO! Are you kidding me?!
-->'''Penn:''' Thank you, Teller. May I solve the [[PrecisionFStrike damn]] thing? May I?
-->'''Pat:''' Yes, you may.
-->'''Penn:''' DATE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES.
-->'''Pat:''' There you go. (''solution reveals while Penn makes a mocking gesture at Kim'')
-->'''Kim:''' What is date night vision?
-->'''Pat:''' Date night and night-vision goggles. We put them together.
** As Pat recaps the scores, Kim is still fuming over what just happened, resulting in {{Corpsing}} even from Pat.
-->'''Penn:''' I originally had "LATE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES".
-->'''Pat:''' Well, there you go.
-->'''Penn:''' I was sure it was gonna be "LATE NIGHT VISION GOGGLES".
-->'''Pat:''' (''over Kim'') So the Million Dollar Wedge not in play. We'll put that back on the Wheel for our next round...
-->'''Kim:''' I thought it was "DATE NIGHT LOTION..." What's wrong with date night lotion? That's not a thing? And then lotion goggles?
-->'''Pat:''' [[BigShutUp THE HOST IS TALKING!]]
-->'''Kim:''' (''laughing'') I'm sorry!
-->'''Creator/KelMitchell:''' What's lotion goggles?
-->'''Pat:''' (''{{Corpsing}}'') Someone... Someone... I work here! (''beat'') For now. (''audience and players gasp'') And someone at home can also win $10,000. JIM!
-->'''Jim:''' I'm with you, Pat.
* November 15, 2023: Sportscaster Kyle Brandt shares a moment with Vanna:
-->'''Pat:''' Now, I know you're a big fan of that lady over there.
-->'''Kyle:''' Pat, I'm thrilled to meet you. But, Vanna, let's just put the cards on the table. I say this respectfully. You're a TV legend. My wife is here. You were my boyhood crush. I love you. For many years in my life, you were the puzzle I wanted to solve. And I am so thrilled to be here.
-->'''Vanna:''' Wow.
-->'''Kyle:''' Do you have any advice for me today, Vanna? Because I believe you control the board. I love you, Pat. To me, this is the Vanna show. (''Pat turns to the camera with a bemused expression'')
-->'''Vanna:''' Well, thank you for those kind words. Buy vowels. Pretend like you're in your own living room, not here. Just concentrate on the puzzle board. Not me. Okay? Keep me out of it. Think of the puzzle. That's it.
-->'''Kyle:''' Wonderful. I love it.
-->'''Pat:''' "You were the puzzle I wanted to solve"? [[WhatTheHellPlayer This is your line, Kyle?]]
-->'''Kyle:''' It just came out. I didn't know that moment was gonna happen. It just came out. Did I hit Bankrupt on that, Pat?
-->'''Pat:''' Do we have another celebrity available?
** Then, during Creator/NatashaLeggero's interview right after that, she discusses her book on motherhood...
-->'''Natasha:''' ...I had a baby in my 40s, and I just felt like there was lot of stuff that I encountered that I hadn't really seen talked about a lot. So I really try to talk about that experience and, you know, freezing my eggs and trying to figure out how to quit breastfeeding even though it kept flowing, you know, stuff like that.
-->'''Pat:''' I have no follow-ups. (''audience laughs'') Let's move on to your husband, because not only do you talk about him, but you work with him, too.
-->'''Natasha:''' Yes, I worked with him on the baby. (''Pat shakes his head as the audience laughs'') But I also work with him on our...
-->'''Pat:''' That's two new celebrities we need.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Australian Version]]
* On one episode, host John Burgess ran out excitedly at the open... and promptly fell on his rear end.
-->'''Burgo:''' Alright, who polished the floor?!
* A couple from the first episode with the revamped 1992 set, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDfX9Fkam3M including...]]
** Burgo's reaction to the new set, as well as his nonchalant reaction to Adri.
-->'''Burgo:''' Gee... gee, am I in the right place? Have I come to the right... [[DullSurprise oh, yes, I have]].
** Speaking of Adri, during the second round, Burgo jokingly said that she looked worn out and [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor could maybe take her top off]]. And then...
-->'''Contestant:''' Could I have a "C" for "cat", please?\
'''Burgo:''' "C" for... ([[FanService sees Adri removing her blouse, revealing a red bikini top underneath]])... Holy Moley!
*** What makes this even funnier--the puzzle, which was solved immediately afterwards, was "TO SCARE THE PANTS OFF SOMEONE".
* From the ill-fated "Million Dollar Wheel of Fortune", [[https://youtu.be/SZJ7u7GyHpg?t=266 Bert Newton wants a "P".]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:British Version]]
* The British version used a quiz round to determine control of the Wheel. After the host ran through several questions that nobody could answer, he finally asked "What's the first letter of the alphabet?"
* One contestant spun the Wheel the wrong way. While this doesn't seem like a big deal (after all, Sajak's done it several times), it actually ruined the mechanism and forced taping to be suspended for several hours while studio technicians tried to get it working again.
* 2000: After the bonus puzzle is ANGEL FALLS, hosts John Leslie and Jenny Powell provide this exchange:
-->'''Jenny:''' Whenever I hear that name, I always think of you.
-->'''John:''' Really? Because I'm...a heavenly creature that fell to Earth?
-->'''Jenny:''' ''(jokingly)'' No, 'cause you're a big drip.
-->'''John:''' ''(after the contestant laughs)'' Don't encourage her!
* One episode of the Creator/BradleyWalsh era had two notable moments.
** First, when Bradley gave the question of the hybrid of a grapefruit and tangerine, the contestants suddenly gather round and start conferring, much to Bradley's annoyance. They all come up with the incorrect answer of nectarine.
** Later, in the speed round, Denise uncovers one L in the puzzle, with the clue of 'place'. She immediately guesses the correct answer of 'The Leaning Tower of Pisa'. Bradley quickly goes mental at the shock of the answer being found with so little info, going so far as to check the board for signs of foul play, randomly jump into the prize car, and hum the theme song of ''Series/TheTwilightZone1959''.

* 8/14/15: In the finals of the 9th anniversary tournament, three contestants named Javi (short for Javier) advanced to the finals. The very first puzzle of the game was "NO ME LLAMO JAVIER, NO ME LLAMO JAVIER" (My name is not Javier, My name is not Javier).
* 2016: A total of EIGHT Pierde Turno (Lose a Turn) and THREE Quiebra (Bankrupt) hits occur more or less consecutively, prompting the audience to cheer loudly when the wheel actually lands on a cash space (€25, the second-lowest number on the wheel). As if that wasn't enough, one contestant keeps calling R [[FailedASpotCheck long after the contestants find out it's not there,]] prompting Jorge to drag the used letter board onto the stage to drive the point home.
-->'''Jorge:''' La R está AQUÍ! Está DICHA![[note]]Translation: The R is RIGHT HERE! It's BEEN CALLED![[/note]]
* Since the "Empiezo Yo" ("I Start") wedge was introduced in 2018, a funny little sound effect goes off whenever it's hit (there's a bit that goes "Yo, yo, yoyoyoyoyo..."). At first, the camera would cut to Jorge, who would do a little dance when the sound goes off. More recently, Laura can be seen dancing at the puzzleboard whenever the wedge is hit.

* Across all versions, computer players will sometimes pick one of the less common consonants at the beginning of a round such as B or V. A few versions, such as the S-NES Deluxe Edition, make it possible for computer players to [[ArtificialStupidity call a repeated letter]].
* The Sega Genesis release has a credit thanking "everyone who decided to go without sleep until the product was finished!"
* The Hasbro CD-ROM game from 1998: When the female AI contestant hits a penalty wedge, she will shout "OH! Why me!?"
