!!The series in general
[[AC:Metroid]]
* In the original ''Metroid'', someone had the idea of typing in the password "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp75tGICd_M ENGAGE RIDLEY MOTHER FUCKER]]" Apparently, the game doesn't like foul language, because this password [[GoodBadBugs takes you to a glitched version of the first screen of Brinstar]] that [[WrapAround wraps around infinitely]] instead of scrolling, making it impossible to progress at all. Also, it turns out [[DeathByIrony the password kills Ridley]], making him unable to be engaged with anyway. '''Warning:''' Depending on what version of the game you're playing, this sometimes causes the game to reset or outright crash instead, particularly on the 3DS Virtual Console version.
** There's also the similarly obscene MOTHER BRAIN? FUCKIN TOASST (yes, with two s's). This password sends Samus to Tourian without her power suit, and when she reaches Mother Brain the notorious space pirate is seemingly absent. After progressing past [=MBs=] containment tank the game just cuts to the end screen with Samus having her back turned to the camera and ''crying!'' [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment What?!]] ([[https://youtu.be/_fVJrEauUXM?si=sM-ttXJ0vY6vJ1bP&t=1082 Watch it covered here by Somecallmejohnny]])

[[AC:Manga]]
* In the ''Victory Techniques for Metroid'' manga/strategy guide, Samus noticed that the [[MookMaker pipes that dispensed Zebs]] looked very much like [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros a certain plumber's method of public transportation.]] When she tried to climb into it, she received a very painful bite on the ass. It makes one wonder why this didn't happen to Mario.
* ''The Shape of Happiness'', a parody manga of ''Metroid'' featured in ''Famitsu Comix'', has Samus using rather... [[OutsideTheBoxTactic unconventional methods]] to defeat Kraid and Ridley:
** How does she defeat Kraid? She doesn't. She kills Fake Kraid, who is wearing a shirt identifying him as a TrickBoss. She then covers up the shirt with a handwritten note saying that he's real Kraid, and she declares that this makes him real. Somehow, this actually works, since Kraid's stone statue is activated.
** Samus gets hopelessly lost in Norfair while trying to find Ridley, much to the latter's aggravation. Ridley ends up dying of old age while waiting for Samus to arrive.
* The ''Manga/SuperMetroid'' manga is full of hilarity:
** The "Round and Round" strips are just gag after gag of a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} Samus's obsession with round objects. Even when she's being impaled by Crocomire, all she feels like doing is admiring how perfectly round his eight eyes are.
** In the "Oh! Metroid" strip ''Gourmet" Expert'', a [[MeaningfulName Samus Eater]] [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin does what its name implies]] (complete with OM NOM NOM). However, [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth it spits the main character back on its own]], dissatisfied. Samus [[ComicallyMissingThePoint is quite pissed that it thinks she tastes bad]].
--->'''Samus:''' ''"Bleck"?!'' Why did you say "bleck"?
** The "Find the Baby!!" strips feature various gags related to Samus's equipment and abilities. In the one focusing on the X-Ray Scope, she tries it out on a nearby wall and... sees two Etecoons making out, who are shocked by the accidental [[ThePeepingTom peeping tom]].
* After Samus gets the Morph Ball back in the "EX" arc of ''Manga/MetroidSamusAndJoey'', she spends the final page happily rolling around in circles while her allies awkwardly comment that she seems more obsessed with the ability than the guy who stole it.
