!!The Webseries
* When Jay explained to Jessica why he was in the hotel.
-->'''Jay:''' I'm, uh, shooting - shooting a documentary.\
'''Jessica:''' Oh? What's it about?\
'''Jay:''' Uh, [[BlatantLies hotels!]]
** And later:
--->'''Jessica:''' ''(Clearly irritated after being questioned)'' No, why are you asking?\
'''Jay:''' ''(Defensively)'' Um, I'm just curious... I mean, uh, I just got here, so I'm looking for a good area to start looking for an apartment or something, so...\
'''Jessica:''' Just got here?\
'''Jay:''' Yeah, my job relocated me so now I'm just looking-\
'''Jessica:''' No, you told me your house was being renovated.\
''*Awkward silence*''\
'''Jay:''' ''[[BlatantLies ...No, I didn't]]'', why would I say that?
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acBnEHT-fBo GIMME 20 DOLLAS]]
* Despite the prominent [[MeaningfulBackgroundEvent appearance of the Operator]], Entry #17 contains at least one humorous moment as Jay and Tim rehearse a scene. When Tim tells Jay he didn't think much of the script, he isn't kidding.
-->''(Tim and Jay run through "Maybe this town's grown up" scene.)''\
'''Alex:''' That... that's far enough.\
'''Jay:''' Stop right there?\
'''Alex:''' Yeah. Let's not do ''too'' much. Uh-\
'''Tim:''' Who, uh... who wrote that dialogue with you, Alex?\
'''Alex:''' That was just me.\
'''Tim:''' Oh, okay...\
'''Alex:''' ''(proudly)'' I do all the script for this.\
'''Tim:''' ''(quietly)'' Oh. ''(Rubs hand over his face to disguise smirk and eye rolling.)''
* Entry #19 seems like pure NightmareFuel...until you notice that while Masky is sitting on Jay's dresser, [[NightmareRetardant he's swinging his legs back and forth like a little kid.]] Also in this scene, he appears to be barefoot (and in the Behind the Scenes footage, you see that he ''is''). No shoes or socks, and when you realise he came into the room from outside, it [[EvenEvilHasStandards makes it seem like he took off his shoes and socks after entering the house]]. (That, or he just wasn't wearing any.)
* About half of Entry #31 is spent ratcheting up Jay's (and the viewer's) paranoia as he keeps spotting [[FanNickname Trail Dude]], someone in a hoodie and hat whose face is always obscured. He eventually goes straight up to the guy, who is now standing completely still, apparently unaware of Jay's presence, and tries to get his attention. Trail Dude turns round... and he's just an ordinary guy who couldn't hear Jay because he was wearing headphones. You may laugh just out of relief.
** After the guy walks away, Jay even briefly turns the camera to himself and gives a "well, that was a thing" look.
* And of course, there's always Masky pimp-slapping Jay.
* "Enttry" #37: when the characters in the home movie are singing Happy Birthday, they are distorted to sound like zombies. They also have thick Alabama accents. Think about that for a second.
** The overall effect is...[[{{Narm}} less than threatening]]. It doesn't sound so much like a bunch of zombies as it does [[Franchise/StarWars Darth Vader's]] stoner cousin from Alabama.
* The DVD commentary is practically made of these. It's really the general tone of the whole thing, but some highlights include the numerous {{Spoof Aesop}}s extracted from Joseph's tale of working for Applebee's (among them [[HypocriticalHumor "Don't get fired and start a video series, kids"]]), the revelation that one early entry was impeded by cat poop, and [[HoYay Troy and Joseph hugging with their shirts off]].
** "Remember, no matter how scary ''Marble Hornets'' gets, [[TakeThat it's still better than working at Applebee's!]]"
*** Their sarcastic attempts at not actually saying the name by calling it "Apple Abyss."
** Troy attempts to set up a joke about one of the gang's friends, but Tim "''[[PrecisionFStrike fucking]]'' steals (Troy's) punch line"... apparently the whole thing was about [[NoodleIncident how Brian goes to the bathroom naked]], but the video ends before they can explain any further.
** Every totheark video is denied any commentary or explanation as to what it means, instead with each one featuring a ''really'' bad joke. The first one goes as such:
---> "Hey, have you been to the new Creator/OJSimpson website? It's at slash-slash-backslash-escape."
** And later:
---> "How many hipsters does it take to screw in a lightbulb? ...it's a pretty obscure number, you've probably never heard of it."
** The story about Entry #12. Apparently, when going back through the footage, Troy noticed there were people having sex in a car close to where they were shooting, which leads to a conversation about how they should have taped ''that'' instead-
--->'''Joseph:''' "Then why did we film this shit?... you're a dick, you know that? We could have made a lot more money off of the other shot."\
'''Kirill Baru:''' "Ladies and gentlemen, fans of Marble Hornets, if you're mad that there's no shot on this DVD of people banging in a car, you can blame ''Troy. Wagner.''"\
'''Troy:''' "I didn't think it was that important..."
** Finding something in a video, no one noticed when it was recorded, while re-watching the footage in order to edit it to put it on Website/YouTube. This is gloriously ironic considering this is the premise of the series in a nutshell.
** The fact that they hardly discuss WebVideo/MarbleHornets at all, and [[SoBadItsGood fail almost completely at providing the purpose of a commentary track]], yet around Entry #13:
--->'''Kirill Baru:''' "I'd say that this commentary's going pretty well so far."
** Really, the whole thing is more of an MST than a commentary.
* Entry #40 How about the conveniently placed camera shot of Jay's lower half partway through?
** Just seeing Jay run away after he drops his camera is the funniest thing
* Entry #42 - first, when Alex hears that Jay went into the forest... *facepalm*
** Then, with Alex just walking through the woods looking for Jay - and he runs past, going in the other direction, with a failed DontAskJustRun.
** And Alex's response to Jay's lousy explanation for what he was doing.
--->[[DeadpanSnarker You got lost in the woods you've never been in]].
* Entry #46 - "Hey, Jay! You forgot your flashlight!"
** Troy Wagner himself said that the entire exchange was improvised and that we might see unused material "on some kind of supplementary material contained within a technologically advanced disc read by laser machines"- stay tuned to this space once Season 2 is on DVD!
** What sells the funny in this episode is the fact that Alex [[DoWrongRight is less annoyed with Jay breaking into his apartment than he is at how poorly planned said break-in was.]]
* Entry #47- Jay stealing Alex's keys. He just sounds so happy with himself.
-->I'm not that stupid.
** Good thing he didn't leave his keys in the car.
* Entry #47 mostly consists of Alex being psychotic, but Jay's "good reason" for breaking into Alex's house is worth a mention here.
-->I had a hunch...
* Entry #50 - Alex continues to become more and more of a DeadpanSnarker towards Jay.
-->I mean, did you ''successfully'' steal something from my house?
* Entry #51 - Alex is filming Brian for the Marble Hornets film, and has him leaning up against a door.
-->'''Alex:''' Rolling.\
(Brian suddenly has [[IncurableCoughOfDeath a coughing fit]] and lurches offscreen.)\
'''Alex:''' Good take.
** YMMV, but the way they go traipsing around the creepy set, casually talking about how it "has that whole burned-out-building feel to it", completely oblivious to what's in store. The return of the StylisticSuck only adds to it, as the scene they're filming consists of nothing but Brian's character standing around looking reflective and staring at walls. ("What is this part supposed to mean?")
--->'''Brian:''' Am I supposed to be silent?\
'''Alex:''' You ''were''.\
'''Brian:''' Oh. My bad.
* Entry #52, at one point, has Jay asking Jessica for a four-digit combination for the safe.
-->'''Jessica:''' Just use "1234".\
'''Jay:''' No, that's... that's too easy, it's the first thing I'd try.
** If you look back at Entry #28, "1234" is indeed the first thing he tries.
* Even though this is actually nightmare fuel, the way the characters barely ever notice Slendy is right in front of them is so idiotic it can be funny ''some'' times.
* Creator/LittleKuriboh of all people, on Jay trying to look inconspicuous while spying in front of an antique store (on Twitter during the break between Season 2 and 3):
-->'''[=LittleKuriboh=]:''' Make sure you're not wearing the chest mounted camera. And don't say you're making a documentary on antiquing.
* While the Season 2 DVDCommentary is much more informative, it still has funny moments.
** When a hawk flies by in Entry #43, they joke that the hawk is extremely important and is actually Alex's pet. They quickly clarify it's not true knowing how serious some players can be.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzb-gK0wVrs The trailer for Alex's original film.]]
--->'''Tim:''' Whenever I'm around other people, [[HilariousInHindsight I just feel like I'm wearing a mask to hide who I really am.]]
*** The Trailer's overall [[Film/TheRoom2003 Wiseau'esque]] quality coupled with the whiplash from the Nightmarish story of what happened behind the scenes makes it hilarious in itself.
*** Special mentions goes to Brian's face after Alex describes love as "[[http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/zybourne-clock four balls on the edge of a cliff]]." The dialogue makes him ''cringe''.
* Entry #53 starts the final season on a light note.
** When Jay gets a call from Tim that he has more tapes from the Marble Hornets shoot, Jay lets out an exasperated "Great, more tapes."
** Just Jay trying to be casual around Tim and failing soooo epically. He's stuttering, talking at about 100 km/h and asking awkward questions about Tim's mental condition ("So... Is everything OK with you?" Yeah, really smooth there man.). And all the while Tim has the most epic WTF face. Jay, worst spy ever.
*** "Oh, no, it's not like I was out here waiting for you or anything. I just happened to be in the area."
* In Entry #54, what first looks like the Marble Hornets crew running from Slendy turns out to be them getting caught in the rain. And it keeps coming once they get inside. "Here we are in scenic Tim's apartment..."
** Even [[MoodWhiplash intermixed with an Operator-induced blackout,]] there's amusement to be had. "Guess what's battery powered?"
*** ...To which Tim replies, [[DeadpanSnarker "Oh, this day just got so much better."]]
** "There's going to be significantly more lighting."
*** "Well I also like to be able to see so I'm going to try to find the breaker box. I don't even know where it is, I never had to use it before... ow!" "Not there."
** "Here we have a ukulele with Tim attachment..."
** Jay lampshading that the tapes are unnumbered and without dates. Again.
* The piece of rebar that Alex uses in Entry #56 to give Tim a TapOnTheHead looks like a tiny stick--hilarious to viewers who aren't paying enough attention to the clattering it makes on the ground when he tosses it aside.
** There's also the fact (uncomfortably acknowledged by the creators, which is even better) that the timing of Alex's attack[[note]]Tim was taking a leak[[/note]] means Tim was knocked out, collapsed and lay unconscious in an abandoned building for several hours with [[WardrobeMalfunction "little Tim" dangling out]] the entire time. Which may explain why the Operator left him alone.
* In Entry #60.5, when Jay is showing the picture of his confrontation with Tim that totheark took.
-->I don't remember seeing anyone else out there that night, of course I wasn't super aware of my surroundings after being punched in the face!
* About a month after Entry #61 first aired (in which Jay says he might know where Tim is and goes off to find him), [[http://slendermania.tumblr.com/post/29987058954/i-got-bored this]] showed up on tumblr.
* Masky / Tim running right past Jay's hiding place in Entry #62 was a bit of unintentional comedy.
* When Tim is comparing himself to Alex in Entry #66 during his HeroicBSOD, Jay comments, "Well, you're not pointing a gun at me right now, either," which actually inspires a chuckle from Tim.
** Tim's breakdown and Jay just sort of standing there not really offering a peptalk can be seen as this.
** After just nearly catching Hoody, Jay tries to cheer up Tim by revealing that he found ''another'' tape.
--->'''Jay:''' I mean, we have this...\
'''Tim:''' Alright, that makes me feel better. I feel a lot better. Why don't I just go back and wait for him to show up at my house again!
* Jay's [[https://twitter.com/marblehornets/status/288364531690901504 tweet]] following totheark's latest hijacking of his account, in which the number code was posted. The 'so-done-with-this-shit' tone of it is just really amusing.
* In Entry #68, the Hooded Man's text reply to Alex yelling that he'll find him. "You will not". It's almost like a child saying "you'll never catch me".
* Troy's taken to posting non-spoilery screenshots from the upcoming entries, and for Entry #71, he posted a picture of a shoe because that's the only unspoilery thing he could post, supposedly. The amount of freaking out that occurred in the fandom as they tried to figure out whose shoe it was and what it might mean is funnier than it has any right to be.
** At one point, this led to a short fanfiction shipping [[CrackPairing one of the fans and the shoe.]]
* [=ToTheArk=]'s video [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xX7-eFWmy8 Conversion]], while having the normal level of MindScrew that we expect, features an animated image of Masky's mask in the corner that, at times, resembles the Troll Faces found across the Internet.
* There is something that's oddly hilarious about seeing Masky carry Jessica down the stairs over his shoulder.
** As one tumblr fan put it, [[SarcasmMode "Sure, make]] ''[[SarcasmMode Masky]]'' [[SarcasmMode carry her! It's not like he's recovering from a broken leg or anything!"]]
** The random, highly conspicuous hole directly in the armpit of Jessica's sweater doesn't help matters.
* In Entry 77, Jay's mental breakdown was rather disturbing. His attempt to attack Tim, on the other hand, was so hilariously bad that you have to wonder if the Operator really wants this guy as a Proxy.
* Seeing Tim use Jay's default [[ItsForABook It's For a Film]] excuse to get information is pretty amusing.
* Entry #84 is mostly comprised of Alex's recording of the Marble Hornets auditions. Despite having printed a stack of scripts, NO ONE shows up apart from his friend Brian (and Tim, who only came because he and Brian were going to get dinner afterwards). When Brian asks how many people have showed up thus far, Alex replies "[[BlatantLies there is some competition]]."
* The special features on the Season 3 DVD include three scenes from Alex Kralie's student film. They show that, in addition to being [[StylisticSuck pretentious and inept,]] Alex's masterpiece is groaningly saccharine.
----
!!The Comic
* In "Eyes Open", Jessica has an MRI. Before Taylor leaves for her monitoring room, she gives Jess a reassuring smile - and gets a tense face and a shiny little thumbs up in response.
* Adam's utter conviction that Marble Hornets is entirely fictional can be very funny.
----
!!Meta
* In a tenth-anniversary livestream, Joseph criticizes Jay's poor decision making when it comes to the Blood Sink.
-->This is Dumb Bitch Syndrome. Sees blood in the sink, touches it. Like, that came out of someone! Probably not in the way it's supposed to, given the Splatter Zone. He probably fuckin' tasted it afterwards, like, "[[CaptainObvious Oh, yeah, that's blood. Shit."]]
** He also reveals a very interesting tidbit about the Operator in Entry #17:
--->The, uh... the Operator in this scene wouldn't quit playing with his fucking phone while we were doing this.
