* John Lennon lives on a beach, by the sea...and what is one type of mammal that lives on the beach by the sea? ''A walrus.''
** It is also worth noting that Yoko can translate as child of the ocean. John does live near the ocean.
* A little backstory: When John Lennon was very young, his father, a seaman, was planning to leave the country and wanted to take John with him. At that time, John could have chosen to either go with his father or stay with his mother. In our timeline, he chose his mother, which allowed him to be in Liverpool to found the band that eventually became the Beatles. In the alternate timeline, John chose to go with his father and followed in his footsteps as a lover of the sea. When he eventually returned to England, he naturally decided to live by the beach, seeing as that was the environment he had grown up around and was happy in. Basically, the Beatles don’t exist in the new timeline because of a single decision made by an unsuspecting child.
* In the film's world, Jack's confession won't actually check out... so the whole world is ''still'' going to think he's a brilliant songwriter who ended his career by going mad. After all, he wouldn't be the first to crack up under the pressure of fame.

* The film seems to be following one of two scenarios: either the Beatles never existed as a group, or everyone forgot about them. If the Beatles never existed, just how much has been affected by this? Do people remember [[Music/EricClapton Layla?]] Did the band members ever meet their wives or good friends? Do their children exist?
** The implications from the trailer seem to be that John (barefoot) and Paul are coming on the talk show. It's very probable the band the Beatles broke up early and they went on to less successful careers. John might be an indie songwriter with a weird streak and Music/PaulMcCartney the frontman for Music/{{Wings}} in this universe.
*** Jossed. That's a nightmare Jack has at one point. John does appear towards the end, living in a house by the sea.
** There is a third possible scenario but it doubles as a possible DownerEnding, the trailer shows during the power outage Jack gets hit by a bus, this film could just all be a DyingDream[=/=]AdventuresInComaland type thing, the second possibility is less downer however as he may wake up and realise his LoveInterest is all he wanted all along or something.
*** The ResetButton is surprisingly averted. Jack continues on with his life in the new reality, having learned some lessons, but the world remains changed.
*** It's highly possible that Music/GeorgeHarrison is still alive in this universe as well, especially considering that cigarettes no longer exist and George died from lung cancer.
*** Unless, of course, he simply smoked ''cigars'' to fatal excess.
* The Beatles made their big break after hiring Ringo, the drummer being the final piece missing from the Fab puzzle. Little Richard Starkey almost died three times as a child. What if this is actually a story about a world [[TearJerker without]] Music/RingoStarr?
** By the time of Ringo Starr's birth (1940), Coca-Cola was already hugely successful and had been a cultural icon for a couple of decades. The point of divergence has to be much earlier than that. At the very latest, the first decade of the 20th century, when it did exist but was somewhat obscure, and could fade out without leaving a mark. Which brings us to a whole new barrel of weird Google searches about UsefulNotes/WorldWarI, the UsefulNotes/RussianRevolution, UsefulNotes/TheSpanishFlu, UsefulNotes/TheWrightBrothers and whatnot.
* The ending shows that ''Literature/HarryPotter'' also does not exist. Rowling had depression and suicidal thoughts around feeling that she was a "failure" around the time she wrote the early books, this even serving as inspiration for Dementors. Writing helped her enormously at this time. If she never wrote the series, what kind of coping mechanisms might she have adopted?
** Worse, what if this was a universe where instead of writing the books, Rowling actually ''committed suicide?''
*** It's possible that this world's version of JK Rowling wrote a completely different series of books that had nothing to do with Harry Potter but still helped her mental health.
*** Maybe she made a series of books about [[WesternAnimation/RobotChicken Squiggles, a magical raccoon that has an afro and shoots pixie dust out of his bunghole]].
