!!Provides Examples Of:
* {{Acrofatic}}: Ben proves quite agile in the sport school scene. Hilariously inverted when he tries to swing on rings to take down two charging mooks. He tears the rings from the ceiling.
* AdviceBackfire: All of the Doctor's arguments about the Boss needing to act "evil" and not give in to Ben and Kid's demands does nothing but worsening the situation for them. By the end, the Doctor is put in his place after being severely punished for his bad advices ending up humiliating the Boss.
* AffablyEvil: The mob boss can be seen as this. In fact, from the very beginning, he was willing to buy a new buggy to compensate them. The Doctor tries to tutelage him into becoming a CardCarryingVillain.
* BallroomBlitz: [[spoiler: Ben and Kid's final assault on the bad guys is this, and they make quite a mess]].
* BigEater: Both Ben and Kid show traits of this during their beer and hot dog EatingContest. The latter even orders a vanilla ice cream, with lots of cream to wash everything down ("it's good for digestion").
* BookEnd: The movie starts with the two main characters competing over the ownership of a dune buggy and ends [[spoiler: with the same situation when one of two buggies is burned after Kid was DistractedByTheSexy]].
* BrickJoke: When Ben and Kid first interact with the boss, the former mentions that he doesn't like cigar smoke. [[spoiler: At the end, when he finally agrees to give them the dune buggy, the boss asks Bud permission before lighting up his cigar.]]
* CarFu: The initial race certainly qualifies. At the end Ben uses his repaired car to wreck the Boss' restaurant.
* CasualDangerDialogue:
** During their beer and hot dog contest, both protagonists casually continue with their contest as mobsters wreck the place, before deciding to go someplace else... Ben moving out of the way, after which a stool is tossed over the bar he was sitting at before makes it a moment of funny.
** Ben and The Kid have this conversation after one of the mooks sets their car on fire with gasoline:
--->'''Ben''': Did you HAVE to wave to him?
--->'''The Kid''': I was only being polite.
--->[[spoiler:''After Ben drives the car into a car wash to extinguish the fire.'']]
--->'''The Kid''': Boy, she was really dirty, wasn't she?
--->'''Ben''': Yeah, I don't have time to clean her.
* ChekhovsGunman: Geremia, the mechanic, mentions he used to work in a restaurant for a mob boss. Turns out, he really was a chef, and the BigBad fondly remembers his cuisine.
* CircusBrat: The female fun fair employee Kid romances explains that she was born and raised at the park and doesn't wish to lose it to the mobsters, and Kid reassures her that she won't.
* TheDragon: Attila is the mob boss' top henchman, given the thankless job of intimidating Kid & Ben.
* HerrDoctor: The "Doctor" (Pleasance), a German-born Freudian psychologist who is an extreme parody of this trope.
* EveryCarIsAPinto: Subverted and played straight. The cars are subjected to a lot of abuse during the initial rally scene, yet they simply break down. Howewer, the Dune Buggies only needed to be flipped on its side to catch fire.
* FatAndSkinny: Ben and Kid, as per usual in their movies.
* HereWeGoAgain: At the end of the movie the mob boss has gotten the pair each their own identical dune buggy. While revving them around the empty lot next to the amusement park, Ben gets [[DistractedByTheSexy distracted watching the tightrope walker]], and accidentally crashes into The Kid's buggy, totaling it while his own is unscathed. The movie ends with Ben suggesting they have another beer and hot dog competition about which one gets the remaining buggy.
* ItsPersonal: Ben is already rough with the mobsters for destroying the dune buggy, but when he finds old Jeremias on the ground, having been beaten up by the Boss' thugs, he gets ''much meaner''.
* MeetCute: Kid ''sets one up'' himself to get the female carnival employee attracted to him. During a TightropeWalking act, Kid cunningly causes her to fall and readily catches her. "It was destiny!"
* MotorcycleJousting: After being chased by mobsters on motorcycles, both protagonists find a meadow with cows to perform this, using long branches as weapons.
* NonActionBigBad: The mob boss.
* PercussiveMaintenance: When one of the mob gangsters tries to get a drink for his female companions, the vending machine doesn't work, even after he hit it a few times. [[spoiler: Cue Bud Spencer giving it a single tap to make the machine release almost EVERY bottle it had in store. Made even funnier when Terence Hill kicks it to make the coins drop out.]]
--->'''Kid''': Your change.
* ProfessionalKiller: The Doctor persuades the boss to send a highly skilled assassin after Ben and Kid, hiring one from the Chicago Underworld. The assassin, "Paganini", confronts the two, although both manage to evade his attempts, with Kid luring him away from Ben's place. This, however, culminates in a confrontation right in the middle of the choir practice Ben is part of, which eventually results in Paganini himself eventually being caught by Kid and [[HumiliationConga forced at gunpoint to play in the Boss' restaurant]].
* PsychopathicManchild: The mob boss believes himself to be very evil, but shows child-like excitement while overhearing about the motorcycle chase.
* PsychoPsychologist: The Doctor can be seen as the true BigBad of the movie because he manipulates the infantile Boss insisting that he must act evil as a display of power. When Ben and Kid asked for their Dune Buggy, the Boss was actually willing to give in to their demands, but the Doctor convinced him to send assassins to get rid of them instead. Later, he suggests that Jeremias (who used to work for the Boss) is sending Ben and Kid to bother him as a way to get his revenge, and they send thugs to beat the old man down. [[FromBadToWorse This finally makes Ben and Kid TRULY mad]] and [[LaserGuidedKarma seals his downfall]].
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Seeing Jeremias on the ground after he's been beaten up by mobsters, Ben goes on the TranquilFury variety of this. After teaming up with Kid, they first drive their car into the mobsters' lair themselves, after which the two beat down every mook they can find in their usual fashion, even tossing them down in a sea of balloons on the floor.
* RunningGag:
** Happens twice during the sport school scene. The first one happens when a mook constantly challenges Ben while wearing boxing gloves, which Ben quickly disposes of before hitting him on the head. The second running gag is the two shoving the mook in charge aside before continuing their assault on the other mooks. A Running Gag that continues into the final battle is the mooks pleading to leave their respective arms alone, as they need them.
--->'''Ben/Kid''': Not now!
--->'''Mobster''': Not the arm!!
** There is also the "fork-stab in the hand" punishment the mob boss subjects the Doctor to.
* SavingTheOrphanage: Ben and Kid's crusade against the mob boss over the destroyed dune buggy also saves an amusement park that he was planning to take over and demolish to build a skyscraper in its place.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere:
** One of the nameless goons tries to leave the restaurant during the final brawl. He fails, as Kid knocks him out one more time.
** Ben himself rolls out the door on his office chair when ProfessionalKiller Paganini the boss hired come to the garage to intimidate the pair.
* SenselessViolins: Paganini carries his gun inside his violin case. Kid switches it for a real violin and forces him at gunpoint to play the violin in the bad guy's restaurant. He's pretty bad at it.
* SpitTake: The Doctor has one when he sees his hired killer defeated and humbled.
* TitleDrop: In Italian the movie is known as ''Altrimenti ci arrabbiamo!'' ("Otherwise we'll get mad") which Kid announces when the Boss asks them what would happen if he refuses to give them a new dune buggy.
* WinHerAPrize: A mobster in an amusement park is hanging out with a couple of girls gaining prizes for them in the games. Sadly for him, Ben and his partner Kid goes after him, and everytime the mobster makes a record, Ben plays the game after and destroys it to the surprise of all the crowd (the mobster included).
