''Ultraman R/B The Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bond'' is a 2019 tokatsu film produced by Tsuburaya, the BigDamnMovie of Series/UltramanRB concluding the series' events. It's also the final Ultraman movie to premiere in the Heisei era.

After a year of peace in Ayaka City since the final episode of Ultraman R/B, the Minato siblings - Katsumi, Isami, Asahi are pursuing their dream careers, when Katsumi decides to pay a visit to his old friend, Toi, whom inspired Katsumi back in their elementary school days and was last seen deciding to become a game developer. To Katsumi's disgust, Toi had since become a withdrawn recluse whom had given up on his life, and simply refused to even spend time with his old friend.

When Riku and Pega (from Series/UltramanGeed) gets accidentally pulled into the dimension of Ultraman R/B and meets the Minato siblings, they learnt from Riku of a new threat, a fallen warrior called Ultraman Tregear, who can bring out the darkness and most sinister desires in people. Unfortunately, Tregear's first victim in their universe is none other than Toi, who desperately wants to prove his superiority by bringing his designed monster, Snake Darkness, to life.

----
!!''Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bond'' provides examples of the following tropes:

* ArtInitiatesLife: Snake Darkness starts off as a failed concept art made by Toi, but thanks to Toi becoming corrupted by Tregear, ultimately the concept art becomes the unstoppable kaiju Snake Darkness.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Toi desires nothing more than respect from others around him, and as such wishes for ultimate power from Tregear. Wish is granted, for the once-harmless nerd Toi is now the all-powerful monster Snake Darkness...
* BreakTheCutie: What Tregear ultimately did to Katsumi, by tricking him to a distant alien planet, and then breaking his spirit, his desire to fight, his self-confidence and self-worth as an Ultra warrior, and repeatedly indulging in convincing the Ultra is a failure.
* BrokenPedestal: Katsumi, upon reuniting with his old friend Toi, who had inspired him to follow his dreams back in their high school days… only for Katsumi to discover Toi is now a {{Hikikomori}} who had pretty much given up on himself and spends all his time playing video games.
* ChekhovsGun: During the battle against Bemstar and Gan-Q, Ultraman Geed realize his friend Pega is trapped inside Gan-Q, preventing the Ultras from performing a lethal attack on the monsters without harming Pega. Later in the finale, Ultraman Rosso realize his friend Toi is trapped inside Snake Darkness, once again preventing the Ultras from performing a lethal attack or risk harming Toi.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: Ultimately, what made the BrainwashedAndCrazy Toi, which is now the soul of the rampaging kaiju Snake Darkness, snap out of it, is the timely arrival of his mother desperately looking for him in the chaos, and then begging him to stop when she realized her son is the monster.
* FusionDance: Ultraman Gruebe, the culmination of the Minato siblings' powers, is achieved by Asahi, Katsumi and Isami fusing their powers and turning all three of their Ultramen into one powerful fusion warrior.
* GodzillaThreshold: In the climax when Snake Darkness proves to be too much for Ultraman Rosso, Blu and Geed to handle, Asahi decides to summon Grigio Regina, one of the most powerful past monsters, into battle.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: During the final battle, Ultraman Gruebe pummels Ultraman Tregear, and throws his opponent right on top of Snake Darkness.
* HauntedTechnology: Invoked with Tregear’s preference to approach his victims through television or computer screens, which is a rather blatant reference to ''Film/TheRing''. In the climax of the movie, Tregear actually enters our world through a giant television screen installed on the side of a building.
* HowWeGotHere: The film opens with the Ultramen trio (Rosso, Blu, Geed) fighting Gan-Q and Bemstar, with Ultraman Rosso narrating the events (while trying to unstuck his head from a building he accidentally fell upon). The film then flashed backwards to the events which lead to the battle.
* HenshinHero: Besides the Minato Brothers, Riku from Ultraman Geed is in this as well. And in the climax Asahi ultimately received the powers of Ultrawoman Gruebe, becoming the fourth henshin character in the movie.
* {{Kaiju}}: As expected. The Ultras battles Gan-Q and Bemstar halfway through the film, and Snake Darkness in the climax. Even Grigrio Regina joins the fray! Although being controlled by Asahi, this time the monster is on the same side as the Ultras.
* MagicalParticleAccelerator: The proposed methods for the Minato siblings to help send Riku and Pega back into their worlds. Later on however this technology was used to help bring back Katsumi which was stranded in a planet full of Pigmon thanks to Tregear.
* MythologyGag:
** Yukio Toi being a failed video game designer who sold his soul to Tregear, to bring his designed monster Snake Darkness to live, calls to mind the Garan incident from Episode 4 of ''Series/UltramanAce'', where Kuri the failed artist deliberately sold his soul to Yapool to bring his monster to life.
** During the fight between the Ultras and the monster team, Bemstar and Gan-Q, once again (as previously shown in ''Series/UltraZeroFight'') the central gorge of the monsters are interconnected, where energy beams fired into either Bemstar or Gan-Q would be absorbed into the monster, before being spewed out by the other.
* ShoutOut: Ultraman Gruebe being a fusion between three siblings coloured red, blue and orange is a nod to ''Triple Fighter'', another hero created by Tsuburaya Productions in the 70s.
* TragicMonster: Snake Darkness is ultimately this, a nerd corrupted by the powers of evil and becoming one with the monster he personally designed, and being forced to go on a rampage against his will.
* TrappedInAnotherWorld: Riku and Pega from ''Series/UltramanGeed'', getting dragged into the alternate universe where Ultraman R/B takes place after being ambushed by Ultraman Tregear.
