The crossover between Series/TensouSentaiGoseiger and Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger.

A year after the ultimate defeat of Doukoku Chimatsuri, the Sanzu River's activities resume and the Gedoshū emerge with it, now led by the nefarious Buredoran who plots to continue Doukoku's plans as his successor, worse is that he takes Takeru Shiba and brainwashes him into his loyal servant to further his goals. Only the unison of Goseigers and Shinkengers can put a stop to the Gedoshū and Buredoran's nefarious plot, but with another monster able to consume attacks heading their way, they must combine their powers to save Takeru and defeat their foe, a task that is easier said than done...

!!This movie contains examples of the following tropes:
* BigBad: Bladerun of the Bloodbath (血祭のブレドラン/Chimatsuri no Buredoran) is the BigBad for this movie. A rare instance where the BigBad of one of the two featured series is the BigBad of the Vs. Movie, rather than a new villain. Bladerun of the Bloodbath is a new identity assumed by Goseiger[=‘=]s BigBad Bladerun/.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Takeru as Gedou Shinken Red who gets corrupted by Buredoran into his loyal servant to help drive the Sanzu's waters into the Guardian Realm to destroy it.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: During the Gokaigers’ EarlyBirdCameo, Captain Marvelous introduces his CatchPhrase by stating that since they’re in a movie, they should be extra flashy. This line is omitted when the scene is revisited in episode 40 of their series.
* CallBack:
** [[spoiler: Whenever a Gedoushu is slain, their second life grants them a much larger and more powerful form. So why does Shitari just flat-out die when the Gokaigers slay him? Because he gave up his second life back in Act 46 in order to give Oborojime a third life with which to defeat the Shinkengers.]]
** Bladerun’s evil plan involves using Gedō [=ShinkenRed’s=] Fire Mojikara to simulate the rare solar flares needed to open a pathway to the Gosei World, the natural occurrence of which is a major plot point in Goseiger proper.
** In Shinkenger[=’s=] endgame, Kaoru created a special Secret Disc containing the royal Shiba clan’s Fire Mojikara for the final battle against Dōkoku. In this movie, she does something similar to help Alata create the Kaentornado Card so they can free Takeru.
** When Bladerun sends the waters of the Sanzu River up to the Gosei World, Takeru leads the Shinkengers in performing the composite characters of the sealing symbol that Kaoru was originally trained to use against Dōkoku Chimatsuri when he returned.
** Daigoyou is the only one to witness the Gokaigers' cameo, just like he was the only one to Goseigers appear in the previous VS film.
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: Once again, Bladerun betrays the evil faction he worked with to further his own plans. After leading the Gedōshū under the claim of being Dōkoku’s heir and inheritor to their will, he reveals that he’s just using them to gain access to the Sanzu River and then flood the Gosei World with its waters.
* CombinationAttack: GoseiKnight and ShinkenGold accidentally discover that Gosei Cards and Mojikara-based techniques have synergetic compatibility. The other Goseigers and Shinkengers then begin practicing together to synchronize their moves to make use of this.
** The “same time/unison” aspect of this trope is emphasized when they are practicing, as being even slightly out of sync will ruin the effect and cause both the Gosei Card and the Mojikara to effectively cancel each other out. Without synchronization, Kotoha and Agri could only make pebbles while Ryūnosuke and Hyde just made a bit of water splash on the ground.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Like the Goseigers in Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger vs. Go-onger, the Gokaigers make their debut here, where they destroy Shitari of the Bones and his army as he attempted to take control from Chimatsuri Buredoran. The movie was released theatrically a month before the start of their own show. This goes a step beyond a promotional stunt as episode 40 of Gokaiger reveals the reason why they show up and why they have access to the Ranger Keys (it involves Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger).
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: When the Gokaigers present the Ranger Keys of the five Red Rangers, they actually call out “Ranger Key!” just as Sentai teams normally call the names of their weapons when they bring them out. They never do this in the series and this is edited out when the battle is shown again in episode 40.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: Gedō [=ShinkenRed=] has a black vest that looks like the one he wears as a Super Shinkenger.
* HijackedByGanon: As per usual for Goseiger, Bladerun takes the stage as the true BigBad, once again assuming a new form and infiltrating a group of villains to use them for his own evil plans. In this case, that group of villains is the Gedōshū from Shinkenger.
* InTheNameOfTheMoon: For the Vs. movie, both teams give their roll call in succession. In this case, the previous team (Shinkenger) goes first, followed by the current team (Goseiger).

* LateArrivalSpoiler: Princess Kaoru Shiba makes an appearance and is mentioned to be Takeru’s mother. The existence of the character and the circumstances of her relation to Takeru are both major spoilers for the final arc of Shinkenger.
* MesACrowd: While fighting [=ShinkenRed=] and [=GoseiRed=], Bladerun of the Bloodbath spawns two clones of himself, both in the forms he had used while working with the first two villain factions of Goseiger, Bladerun of the Comet and Bladerun of the Chupacabra.
* PsychoticSmirk: Takeru sports a very unsettling one just before he transforms into Gedou Shinken Red.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: Alata and Takeru.
* TransformationSequence: For TheMovie, a specially filmed team sequence is done for both the Shinkengers and the Goseigers.
* VersusTitle: In this case, the "Vs." element comes from Gedou Shinken Red attacking both the Goseigers and his teammates.
