Things go poorly.

!!This film exhibits the following tropes:
* BittersweetEnding: Pihu successfully survives the day and her father, Gaurav, finally returns home, only to find his wife dead, whereupon he becomes remorseful for the domestic problems.
* BottleEpisode: There are only two characters present (Pihu and a passed-on Puja), and one setting (the apartment).
* BystanderSyndrome: The neighbors are unaware of Pihu's plight and don't intervene, even when they hear the hot water heater explode and see water coming out from under the front door (they think the neighbors are on holiday). Luckily, at one point, we get a lady who does convince Pihu to get off the balcony but she doesn't check on her or try to. It's not until they see smoke from the apartment, that they actually do something.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: Two-year old Pihu's innocence makes things worse. She doesn't understand why her mother isn't waking up, she doesn't know how to cook, nor does she understand that being by herself is dangerous.
* DrivenToSuicide: Puja leaves a message scrawled on the mirror that she's killing herself to escape her domestic problems. The bruises on her face and arm suggest that DomesticAbuse may have been involved.
* ExtremelyShortTimespan: The entire movie takes place over one day.
* ImprobableInfantSurvival: The movie is gut-wrenching to watch, as Pihu barely avoids danger after danger (getting burned on the iron, a water heater explosion, almost being electrocuted, sleeping pills, almost falling off the balcony, and the apartment catching fire) in the house. Gaurav really experiences this when he hears from Pihu that Pooja was "sleeping all day" and comes home just in the nick of time.
* OffingTheOffspring:Puja mentions in her note that she thought about killing Pihu, too, but couldn't bring herself to do it.
* PleaseWakeUp: Pihu tries several times to wake her mother. The entire time, she thinks she's sleeping.
* RippedFromTheHeadlines: The director based it on a real-life story about a four-year-old who survived for several days after being left alone at home.
* TheVoice: Pihu's father, Gaurav, isn't seen and we mostly hear his voice through phone calls.
* WhenYouComingHomeDad: It's implied Gaurav is this trope as one of the reasons for their argument with his wife was that [[spoiler: Puja was upset with him because he was late to Pihu's 2nd birthday party]].
