''Now You See It...'' is a Creator/DisneyChannel Original Movie starring Creator/AlysonMichalka as Allison, a teenage girl with a fascination for mystery solving and the dream to become a television producer. She takes part as a teenage producer for a new reality show, which looks for the world's best kid magician, and ends up working with Danny Sinclair- a moody outcast who just so happens to be a very talented magician. Weird things happen whenever Danny is around, however, and it starts to become apparent his magic tricks might not be tricks at all...

Not to be confused with the game show, ''Series/NowYouSeeIt'', nor with that other magician-centric film, ''Film/NowYouSeeMe''.

!!Tropes:
* AgentMulder: Hunter is the only person, besides Max, to initially suspect Danny is capable of genuine magic, insisting that it's possible because not everything can be explained. When he brings this suspicion up however, he's shot down as a lunatic, but Danny himself backs up Hunter's claim.
* AnvilOnHead: Played as an actual threat; Max tries to kill Danny by levitating a weight above his head for the crowd, then having it "suddenly" fall on him. He only avoids the attempt due to Allison's quick reaction time. In fact, this was how Max had killed his old mentor, Antonio [=DiMilo.=]
* BigLabyrinthineBuilding: The Magic Mansion, which is both Max's home and the set for the reality show, is a large mansion of corridors, secret passageways, and even a giant underground study room hidden behind cryptic puzzles.
* TheBully: Producer Hunter and his contestant Brandon treat Danny with open contempt, mocking his attempts to preform on stage and even convince the judges to knock off points at the end of his turn, based on a technicality. However, they aren't all bad, and end up [[BullyTurnedBuddy befriending Danny]] after realizing he's a skilled and clever magician.
* DeadpanSnarker:
** Danny, responding to much of Allison's enthusiasm with dry annoyance.
--->'''Allison:''' The contestants who get the most screentime are the ones who are wildly charismatic, extremely competitive, and have usually overcome some sort of heartbreaking obstacle to get here.
--->'''Danny:''' Well, right now the only heartbreaking obstacle in my life ''is you''.
** Max has his moments as well, such as this exchange.
--->'''Madame Suzette:''' Danny, do you have a family history of paranormal abilities? Your mother? Your father?
--->'''Danny:''' No...
--->'''Madame Suzette:''' An aunt, possibly?
--->'''Danny:''' Not that I know of...
--->'''Max:''' Maybe a long lost cousin, twice removed, on your father's side?
* {{Determinator}}: Allison does not take "no" for an answer, whether it's trying to convince Danny to work with her, or in trying to save Danny's life. She's always giving it her best, taking any risk necessary to complete her goal.
* FailureMontage: Each of the magicians Allison considers before Danny are shown bungling their tricks in a montage.
* {{Gaslighting}}: One of [[spoiler: Max's]] tactics to make everyone else believe that Danny's tricks were nothing but...impressively performed tricks instead of the magic they truly were.
* HallOfMirrors: The Mansion has a room of twisted mirrors and creepy laughter, and Danny manages to escape from Allison by wandering through it and confusing her.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Danny, being someone who has uncontrollable and unexplained magical abilities, just wants to feel like a normal kid, and actively pushes Allison away when she tries to, in his eyes, take it away from him.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Danny is abrasive and anti-social, but is a good guy deep down; he cares about Allison, and is just lashing out due to his feeling of social isolation.
* LonersAreFreaks: Brooding and antisocial Danny is considered to be strange and friendless, and he mellows out a lot once people start accepting him.
* MadameFortune: Madame Suzette, the psychic Max invites to judge whether or not Danny has real powers, is not only named the part- she's also covered in scarves and beads, and seems to know a lot about supernatural abilities.
* MagiciansAreWizards: Played with; Danny suspects himself to be capable of real magic, but Max claims to the others he's just pulling a famous magician trick and trying to gain attention through claiming to have paranormal abilities. When Danny is sent to prove his powers for a panel of skeptics, Max's point is proven further thanks to Danny's levitation being the result of a cleverly made chair, and not Danny himself. However, it's then revealed that both Danny ''and'' Max really do have actual magical powers, and that Max was just trying to hide things from everyone else.
* ManipulativeBastard: Max is very cunning, and uses his trickery to not only set up an entire reality show in order to search for a young wizard, but also to convince people Danny has no real magic, and then, convinces Danny he'll train him in being a real wizard, but only with the goal of killing him.
* MotorMouth: When Allison gets started on something that excites her, she doesn't like to shut up. This quickly annoys Danny as she chatters endlessly about preparing for the show, while he'd rather just be alone.
* MustacheVandalism: When angry at Danny, Allison spends her time defacing photos of him, giving him a mustache, goatee, and stupid glasses.
* NiceGuy: Zoey, in contrast to the much meaner duo of Hunter and Brandon, comes off as a genuinely nice girl in her minor appearances, cheerfully talking with the others despite the competition.
* PlotMandatedFriendshipFailure: Danny and Allison slowly go from being enemies to becoming close friends, even inspiring a touching moment together in the basement. However, once Max "proves" Danny doesn't have real powers, Allison jumps to the assumption that he wasn't only faking it, but faking it to make her look bad, and calls off the friendship. Of course, as soon as she realizes Max's evil plan of manipulating and killing Danny, she immediately tries to reconcile with and save him. In the end, the day is saved, and they're friends again.
* PowerNullifier: Max gives Danny a ring that he claims will help him control his powers, but it really puts his powers under Max's control. He also can't remove it without outside help.
* PubertySuperpower: Danny claims his first sign of power started when he was thirteen, and Madame Suzette tells him that powers usually start at the onset of puberty.
* PullARabbitOutOfMyHat: When the contestants are given the name of a famous magician to emulate for one of their performances, Zoey gets Alexander Herrmann, and of course ends up emulating his famous rabbit trick for the audience- pulling out rabbits of wildly varying sizes, no less.
* TheSmartOne: Allison is a talented puzzle-solver and is the smartest member of the teenage cast; she was the only one to decipher the trick on the reality show's poster, and later was able to help Danny uncover the secrets of the house through her intelligence alone.
* StageMagician: A whole trio of them, competing in a reality show to be the greatest teenage stage magician. Their tricks range from card magic, to levitation, to [[MagiciansAreWizards real magic.]] There's even more stage magicians in the beginning, all making the effort to show off their skills.
* TreacherousAdvisor: Max approaches Danny and convinces him to become his wizard apprentice, promising him that he'll help him gain control over his powers. However, his true motivations are soon revealed to be much more sinister- he wants to kill Danny and forcibly steal his powers. In fact, [[DeceptiveDisciple he killed his own mentor this way]].
* YouAreNotAlone: When Danny is scared about having to prove his powers to everyone, which will end with him either being seen as a freak with supernatural abilities or a manipulative liar, Allison admits she doesn't understand how he really feels, but that she ''does'' understand what being an outcast is like, and promises that she'll be what he really needs- the one person who will really believe in him.
