''Komodo vs. Cobra'', also referred to as KVC, is a 2005 television film directed by Jim Wynorski. It is Wynorski's sequel to his 2004 film ''Film/CurseOfTheKomodo'', with several similar elements (experimentation gone awry, father-daughter team, government attempt to bomb things, the ending, Komodo's behaviors, etc.).

The film is notorious for being nearly a RecycledInSpace of ''Curse of the Komodo'' and has the habit of using BottomlessMagazines and IdiotBall to the extreme.

----
!!This film includes examples of:

* ActionGirl: Susan managed to survive in the island alone for weeks clad only in black tank top and jeans while armed with 9mm handgun (though the house did have supplies) before the environmentalists arrived.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: See TheStinger and SequelHook below.
* ArmiesAreEvil: A common trope in B-movies. The U.S. military attempted to use giant animals as biological weapons and try to cover-up its existence. Then they bomb the boat of the environmentalists for "trespassing" into what is considered a military installation.
* ArtisticLicenseBiology: Oh boy, this movie has several of them.
** Dr. Richardson states that the military had them experiment on the Komodo and the cobra because "both are amphibious". They are seen emerging from the water. Both are reptiles capable of swimming (thus 'amphibious' - not to be confused with 'amphibian', the class of animals that begin life as water-breathers, emerging to live on land after a metamorphosis).
* ArtisticLicenseMilitary: This movie will give military personnel a headache.
** The U.S. military does not use [=MiG-23=] fighter jets as seen in the StockFootage. The flag of the USSR on the tail is a dead giveaway.
** Capt. Mike A. Stoddard mentions he served in the Army Rangers as a pilot and got discharged at Pearl Harbor. Army Rangers do not get discharged at Pearl Harbor but Schofield Barracks or Fort [=DeRussy=].
* AttackOfTheKillerWhatever: As per the title, we get a giant cobra and giant Komodo Dragon.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Subverted. [[spoiler: For the other group that came in the helicopter, the black guys dies second when the Komodo stomps on him as he tries to climb a gate.]]
* BMovie: What do you expect from SciFi Original Movies?
* BottomlessMagazines: The soldiers, Mike, and Jerry shoot several shots as the monsters without ever having to reload. Mike towards the end somehow managed to fire ''50'' shots at the titular Komodo using a Glock.
* FauxActionGirl: Sandra and Carrie do not see any fighting despite their adventurous appearance.
* GovernmentConspiracy: The U.S. government is in league with the military for the use of giant animals as weapons.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: Jerry Ryan uses himself as bait for the giant cobra so his girlfriend Carrie, Dr. Susan Richardson, videographer Sandra, and Stoddard can escape from the island.]]
* IdiotBall: As with all B-movie plots, there are always idiots that would hamper or cause the deaths of others.
* ImmuneToBullets: If [=M4A1s=] could not do the trick on the monsters, even 9mm pistols would not have an effect.
** Averted for the smaller Komodo, as the special forces' [=M4A1s=] are shown to impact it, yet the 5.56 NATO rounds does only damage it.
* MsFanservice:
** Dr. Susan Richardson. The first we see her in a tight grey tank top and black trousers. Later on in the film, she sports in a black tank top and blue jeans, in which her attire bears her midriff.
** Sandra and Carrie sunbathing on the boat.
** Darla to a bit of an extent.
* OhCrap: [[spoiler: All the girls are terrified as the military bombs the island right before Stoddard starts the chopper. Thankfully, they escape on time.]]
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Definitely different. [[spoiler:They have green eyes and forked tongue, but other than that, we don't see it in action.]][[note]]This was most likely a nod to the "Komodo zombies" seen in ''Film/CurseOfTheKomodo''[[/note]]
* RuleOfSexy: All girls in the film are part of.
* SequelHook: It turns out that the threat of the Komodo dragon is not over as [[spoiler: the man they encountered at the forest revives with green eyes and a fork tongue]].
* SpiritualSuccessor: To the ''Curse of the Komodo''. One is familiar with the setting, the storyline, and the special effects. Some of the casts from the ''Curse of the Komodo'' reappear in this film as separate characters.
* TheStinger: The threat of the Komodo is not over yet as the man they encountered earlier [[spoiler: returns back to life with green eyes and a forked tongue.]]
* StockFootage: The movie utilizes stock footage of Israeli F-4 Phantoms and Soviet [=MiG=]-23 jets depicting a United States Air Force bombing of the island.
* TankTopTomboy: We are introduced to Susan wearing a grey tank top in the beginning scene and later a black tank top for the remainder of the film.
* TooDumbToLive: [[spoiler: One of the group members is cornered by the giant cobra and has a chance to escape, but what does he do? He shouts for his group to film the ordeal rather than run away and as a result, is eaten whole by the cobra.]]
