* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: Post TLG. Artemis has regained his memories, but there is never rest. As a foe more powerful than any before emerges, wars will be fought and allies will be found in the most unlikely of places. Rated T for violence and mild language.
* Comments: A sequel story taking place 6 months after ''The Last Guardian''. It breaks the usual formula of having only even-numbered books being Opal-focused by having Opal coming back guns ablazing. And yet her return doesn't feel cheap, and the explanation for her return makes sense. In other words, if you weren't satisfied with how she went out in ''The Last Guardian'', then here's another chance at getting a more satisfying final battle with her. The author has a good attention to detail when it comes to the lore (including the Artemis Files short stories) and he introduces a lot of original canon complacent elements that fits well with pre-established lore. A very high quality story that earns its place as a potential book 9 to the series. The author would later go on to publish his own original novels, so you know you are getting into some quality work.
** The author would later write a "Book 10" known as ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10275660/1/ The Everett Interpretation]]'', a worldbuilding side story known as ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10561649/1/The Battle of Taillte]]'' and a "Book 0" focused on Holly known as ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11439110/1/In Her Mother's Footsteps]]''

* Comments: Don't let the EpunymousTitle throw you off -- this is a work of genius. It's exactly what it says on the tin: Artemis hired by the LEP as a consultant. But of course, it isn't ''that'' easy. Intern rebellions, rogue AI, plus a very serious problem on the surface. It's structured like a TV show, with two seasons under its wing. Just go check it out.

* Recommended by: [=BonUs=]
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: Years after having his memory wiped by the LEP after the incident at Spiro Industries, Artemis Fowl, now twenty-six and a successful businessman, receives an unexpected visit from one Commander Holly Short. More shocking than her appearance, however, is the news she bears, regarding the kidnapping of Artemis' son: a son of whom he had not known...
* Comments: Clearly this is an A/H fic, but the focus isn't the romance (which is different from your typical Artemis X Holly fic anyway, in that in makes the relationship in-character and believable). Instead, the story is a thrilling race to save Holly and Artemis's son, featuring the usual wit and wisecracks from the pair as well as serious sacrifice. Even if you're not a fan of the A/H ship, it's worth a read for the plot alone.

* Status: Complete
* Sypnosis: ''Artemis Fowl had retired half a dozen counselors from St. Barleby's already this year.'' Here's how. Six chapters, one for each psychologist losin' it.
* Comments: A hilarious and brilliant fill-in-the-blanks fic, intelligent and in character the whole way through. This is the first fic I've read where Artemis is actually as smart as he claims to be in the books. Ends with Dr. Po taking office.
** @/USABobcat: Amazing, absolutely amazing. Every single thing is perfect. The characterization is spot on, and really makes you feel for the psychologists, and certainly laugh at more than a few of them. It even manages to capture Colfer's narrative style.

* Comments: An excellent fic, focusing on counselling sessions between Artemis and a psychiatrist. The whole story would probably seem like one of Colfer's to those who are unfamiliar with the series. Ten chapters in total; a fun read and you'll be quite satisfied with it.
** Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. The most intelligent fanfic I've ever come across, and although that might not sound like it says much, it does indeed.

* Comments: An utterly brilliant two-chapter fic which details what happens to Artemis after his HeroicSacrifice, as well as the Fowls, Butlers and Holly's attempts to move on and heal. Deals with the [[spoiler: cloning]] in a pseudo-scientific way that fits both Colfer's style and has a hint of realism. Wonderful way to end the series properly.

* Synopsis: Artemis was always prepared for any contingency. So, naturally, undergoing a mindwipe would not stop him from almost immediately getting back on his feet... his criminal genius feet, that is. With no memories of the Fairies and the LEP, there's nothing to stop him from doing what any good villain would do -- kidnap a fairy and hold her for ransom, of course. 142* Sypnosis: A set of thirty-one drabbles, mostly humorous anecdotes encompassing the span of events throughout the whole series. 158* Comments: Basically, ''The Time Paradox'' from Holly's POV and her thoughts/feelings about the whole Time-Travel-Lemur-Saving-Teenage-Body experience during this very experience. Manages to both keep characters...well, in-character and fill the gaps left in the original book.

* Crossover with: ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse''
* Synopsis: S.H.I.E.L.D has been keeping an eye on the Fowl family since their son vanished into another dimension. About the time he reappears, there is a discovery of something on a sunken Fowl ship, and Artemis Sr. is asked if he knows anything about it. Naturally his son comes with him. All of this is complicated by successfully stolen magic, Fowl family tension, Avengers getting the wrong idea, the existence of JARVIS, and Doom plotting with [[spoiler:Koboi]] behind the scenes.
* Comments:
** All in all, a very enjoyable read by the Crossover Queen.
** Seconded. This is best executed crossover this troper's seen in a long time. The author is clearly familiar with both worlds, and has thought about the implications of them existing in the same universe. Personally, I loved the layer of meta to it.
** Thirded. The plot was complicated enough to bring out Artemis' genius, but not too convoluted that it just didn't make sense. Also, the characterization of Artemis was spot-on - he is clearly capable of feelings, but they are shown by ''using'' his dangerous and cruel nature, not by eliminating them.
** Fourthed. Artemis is as smart as he is in the books, but the Avengers aren't dumbed down just to make him look smarter in comparison. Everyone's characterisation was fantastic and it had the added advantage of an interesting plot that almost seemed like it might be one of Colfer's own writing.
** Fifthed. It would not go amiss to call ''Thrower of the Dart'' a replacement of ''Atlantis Complex'', for those who found that particular book frustrating, as I did. Artemis' characterization was, I believe, very well summed up when he said:
---> ''You are empty. All you have is your intellect and your superiority. There is no core within you. No trace of human feeling, reaching out across the void to touch another life. You are an endless hall of mirrors, reflecting nothing. I was almost like that. Once."

* Crossover with: ''Literature/HarryPotter''
* Synopsis: Artemis, after having gained magic from the events of ''The Lost Colony'', is recruited at Hogwarts. Meanwhile, he begins to enact one of his Plans...yes, it deserves a capital letter.
* Comments: Stands out from the usual Artemis-at-Hogwarts fic because, as noted, Artemis has a Plan. Unfortunately, as the fic appears to have gone dormant or died, the exact details of the Plan remain unknown. Also notable for a reimagining of Slytherin House, the beginnings of an intellectual struggle between Hermione and Artemis, and remarkable, though imperfect, grasp of character. Most of the characters do seem like themselves; Doodah might be somewhat out of character, however.
