A fan fiction set in the world of VideoGame/TheSims, published in the fanon section of the Sims Wiki. It follows the story of a wealthy young woman named Madeline Sycamore, who has been accidentally interfering with other people's timelines ever since she gained the powers to do so when she was a teen through a "fever." Now, she travels the world with her father, seeing the ways she's written herself into their narratives. Currently in the 3rd chapter in the first arc. The story can be read [[http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Fanon:Written_into_the_Narrative#Pleasantview_2 here]].

!!''Written into the Narrative'' provides examples of:
* AdaptedOut: Overall, there's a lot of this. Justified as this is an Alternate Universe.
* AlternateUniverse: Where Madeline's altered the timelines of the Sims so she's intertwined with their stories.
* AllThereInTheManual: A lot of backstory and interesting information on the characters can be found on their separate pages on the wiki, not within the story itself.
* StoryArc: Uses this to separate the towns, with chapters separating the timelines.
* TimeTravel: A variety. Madeline has the power to jump between timelines. However, once she's in one, she can't leave until her part of the narrative has been told.
!!!Pleasantview Arc:
* AdaptedOut: Kaylynn Langerak, the maid who Daniel originally has an affair with is not featured, instead being [[spoiler: replaced by Madeline.]] Justified in the fact that this was how the Pleasant timeline was altered.
* DeadSparks: Daniel and Mary-Sue, who haven't loved each other for a long time. [[spoiler: This is the reason that Daniel begins his affair.]] Mary-Sue was willing to give Daniel another chance, but this was all destroyed by his affair.
* HappyMarriageCharade: Daniel and Mary-Sue.
** BigDamnKiss: For the record, this is how he decides to tell Mary-Sue about his affair.
