[[HilarityEnsues Shenanigans ensue]].

* ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13583580/1/Lost-Boys Lost]] [[https://archiveofourown.org/works/24166081 Boys]]'' -- Swift's time to upgrade to her adult chassis has come, and her father is relieved she's not a triple-changer like him. When she asks why, he finally admits the truth of his past, and how his creator's ego and cruelty forced him to grow up as fast as he did.
* ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13754989/1/Swift-Flight Swift]] [[https://archiveofourown.org/works/27726397/chapters/67862524 Flight]]'' -- Glory's daughter, Swift, is coming of age on a Cybertron finally at peace. But even peacetime has its trials, and Swift discovers that even a non-soldier can find a cause worth fighting for.

The author has also included Glory and her parents in two other stories -- ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7915586/1/Lost-and-Found Lost and Found]]'', and ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13135024/1/Brothers-In-Arms Brothers in Arms]]'' -- which are separate continuities from this one.

----
!!The series contains examples of:

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:The series as a whole]]

* AdaptedOut: Season 4 of the original series ("The Rebirth", parts 1-3) doesn't happen in this continuity. So no Headmasters or Targetmasters.
* AgeGapRomance: During the events of ''Glory and Honor'', Glory winds up falling for Blitzwing, who literally grew up and went to school with her co-creator (he even says he's old enough to be her grand-creator), and finds his attraction to her to be disturbing. His friend Steelwing tells him that despite his worries, age really doesn't matter with their kind; for example, one of Skywarp's creators is almost four times his partner's age, and they're a bonded pair. Blitzwing eventually confesses his feelings to Glory, and she accepts, with the two bonding.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Glory was built with a set of retractible spikes for her protection, which are upgraded into full retractible arm blades in her adult form.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** Megatron may have a reputation as a horrible mech, but even he honors Windblade's sacrifice, and encourages Thundercracker to take in his niece.
** The Insecticons freely admit to being "greedy, moral-less, son-of-a-glitch mercenaries", but they don't hurt kids.
** Over the objections of some of his troops, Optimus Prime insists that returning Glory to her family, regardless of faction, is the right thing to do. Later, in ''Glory and Honor'', he disapproves of attempts to turn Decepticon sparklings against their programming and, when he finds out his troops had done so in his absence, insists on returning them to the Decepticons.
* HeartwarmingOrphan: Glory herself. Also the sparklings she helps bring home in ''Glory and Honor''.
* {{Kidfic}}: The whole concept, of Thundercracker becoming a guardian to a sparkling. Other characters become parents later on.
* KilledOffForReal:
** In ''Forever Young'', Thundercracker and Windblade's mother dies in a cave-in offscreen, sometime prior to their graduation. Their father Whirlwind later dies in battle with the Autobots.
** ''Thundercracker's Glory'' sees Piston and Windblade die in an attack on their lab, leaving their daughter orphaned.
** ''Glory and Honor'' includes the events of ''The Transformers: The Movie'', and consequently nearly every Autobot and Decepticon who died there is killed off. [[spoiler: With two exceptions -- Optimus Prime is resurrected later, and Shockwave faked his own death. Also subverted with Wildfire, who was shot by Galvatron during the events of "Five Faces of Darkness", but his processor core survives and is put in storage, allowing him to eventually be rebuilt.]]
** [[spoiler: Cyclonus dies at the hands of Glory herself during the Battle of Chaar.]]
* LoyalAnimalCompanion: Wildfire, a drone horse-former who serves as Glory's bodyguard. [[spoiler: After he's apparently killed and later rebuilt, he becomes one to her adoptive daughter Swift.]]
* ParentalSubstitute: Thundercracker for Glory, after her parents are killed. More Decepticons take up the role after the war ends, as seen in ''Soundwave's Echo''.
* RecursiveFanfiction: ''[[https://archiveofourown.org/works/12868125/chapters/29391792 Soar Onward]]'', by [=ParadiseParrot=], is based on ''Thundercracker's Glory'', but adds [[spoiler: Updraft, daughter of Starscream, who was found after having spent over four million years in stasis, and is also brought to Earth and the ''Nemesis''; she also has half-siblings, Uppercut and Windjammer. ''The Power and the Glory'' becomes a double-recursive fanfic when it introduces adult versions of the trio, used with permission.]]
* RoboFamily: Transformers can have bondmates and, if they so desire, can either create a child's body shell on their own (if they have the knowledge) or have one made for them. Once built, the body shell is taken to the computer Vector Sigma, which scans the parent or parents' programming and creates a Spark based on it, making the resulting child a mix of the parents. This is how Whirlwind (male Seeker) and Drillbit (female with mining-vehicle alt mode) had Windblade and Thundercracker, and how Windblade and her bondmate Piston created Glory. Hook notes that Vector Sigma can also generate already-mature sparks without first scanning another mech (as shown with the Stunticons and Aerialbots), but this requires the Key to Vector Sigma. Other known families include Skywarp and his parents Wavebreaker and Stormrunner.
* SingleMindedTwins: Shockwave has been experimenting in these (Piston refers to it as "shared personality components among several mechs"). The most advanced result is Reflector, three mechs who all share the same personality and, to some extent, the same CPU. The trio are later part of Megatron's crew on the ''Nemesis''.
* TeamSwitzerland: The neutral colonies, which refuse to aid either side. However, some Decepticons have managed to hide out there, biding their time with the intention of eventually returning to the war. One colony, Beta Geode, plays a key role in ''Glory and Honor''.
* TimeSkip:
** ''Thundercracker's Glory'' has a six-month one between the last chapter and the epilogue.
** There's a one-year timeskip between ''Thundercracker's Glory'' and ''Glory and Honor'', another year-long skip after chapter 5 to bring the timeline up to the start of season 3, and a three-year skip after chapter 9 that brings things to after the finale of season 3.
** There's a five-year timeskip between ''Glory and Honor'' and ''The Power and the Glory''.

[[folder:''Forever Young'']]

* BigBrotherInstinct: Blitzwing and Astrotrain learn the hard way that if you mess with her little brother, Windblade will hurt you.
* ThePrankster: Windblade is one, though it didn't stop her from graduating among the top of her class. Skywarp as well.

* TheBerserker: Wildfire the horse-former, but only if Glory is threatened.
* DeathOfAChild: While reading Windblade's journal, Thundercracker finds mention of a young femme sparkling, a child of one of her coworkers, who unexpectedly passed away.
* GetOut: Thundercracker says it to Skywarp when he finds the other Seeker in his quarters, going through his personal files.
* HarmfulToMinors: Glory is traumatized by her parents' deaths, having been in the lab with them when they died.
* KilledMidSentence: Windblade was writing in her journal when she died, as Thundercracker finds when he receives and reads it.
* PlotRelevantAgeUp: Averted -- Megatron orders Glory's upgrade to adult, but a combination of factors results in him deciding to delay it until she's ready.
* ShoutOut: At one point, Frenzy grumbles that "I still don't believe you that these things take two hours to register a temperature". Calvin of ''ComicStrip/CalvinAndHobbes'' makes a similar complaint in one strip.
* SomebodyDoesntLoveRaymond: Subverted -- while there are a handful of mechs on the ''Nemesis'' who don't like Glory, she doesn't go out of her way to try and win them all over. Starscream in particular just plain scares her, and she avoids him if she can. She also avoids Motormaster most of the time, except to prank him.
* TraumaButton: Being around Autobots terrifies Glory, due to a group back on Cybertron being responsible for the deaths of her parents. She grows out of it eventually.
* WifeHusbandry: Early on, Skywarp jokingly suggests Megatron is planning this for Glory. Thundercracker is not amused.
* YouJustHadToSayIt: In chapter 11, the conehead Seeker Dirge remarks that they should be thankful there's no lightning yet, and lightning immediately strikes. The trope name is Starscream's response.

* EveryoneCanSeeIt: Or at least, Megatron and Soundwave can -- the two easily figure out that Thundercracker and Skywarp are involved now.
* ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies: Thundercracker's reasoning for not admitting he liked Skywarp as more than friends -- he's lost so much to the war, he was afraid he'd lose Skywarp to it too. They wind up hooking up anyway.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: Megatron's angry "Sit. Down. NOW!" to Starscream, cutting off one of his rants.
* ShipperOnDeck: Glory ships her uncle and Skywarp. Eventually, they admit they've got feelings for one another too, and agree to work on a relationship.

[[folder:''Glory and Honor'']]

* TheAlliance: One is formed between two factions of Decepticons -- one led by Shockwave, and the Destron Empire led by Deszaras -- for the purpose of overthrowing Galvatron.
* AnArmAndALeg: Shockwave lost one of each when his tower was destroyed by Unicron, which helped him fake his death.
* AssassinationAttempt: On Cyclonus (in order to clear the way to Galvatron) in chapter 12, while he's supposedly shut down in the medbay. Unfortunately, he didn't go offline like instructed, and thwarts the attempt.
* TheCaligula: Galvatron becomes this when recovered at the start of season 3, per cartoon canon. It's bad enough that his only truly loyal soldier is Cyclonus -- the rest desire his removal or just don't care.
* TheCoup: Glory begins plotting one when she decides Galvatron is too dangerous to remain in command of the Decepticons. Oddly for this trope, she's not plotting to take over for herself -- she just wants a leader who isn't crazy.
* {{Fainting}}: Glory passes out after the end of the Battle of Chaar.
* FakingTheDead: Shockwave was thought dead in Unicron's attack on Cybertron, but turns up alive and well, having gone into hiding at the neutral colony of Beta Geode.
* HeelFaceTurn:
** Subverted with Blitzwing. Though banished from Chaar, he remains loyal to the Decepticon cause and chooses to try and find other like-minded Decepticons (which he succeeds in), or a neutral colony at worst.
** Utterly averted with Glory. Though Optimus offers her a place with the Autobots, she refuses point-blank, having lost her family to the Autobots (and Thundercracker to Optimus himself during the attack on Autobot City).
* OfficialCouple: Glory and Blitzwing, by the end of the story.
* PeaceConference: One happens between the Decepticons and Autobots after the Battle of Chaar, and unlike the truce at the end of "The Return of Optimus Prime", Shockwave intends this one to last (unless the Autobots break it first). The end result is that both sides return to Cybertron, with the Decepticons serving as its military and defense forces in case of attack by the Quintessons or other enemy factions.
* PlotRelevantAgeUp: Following the events of the season 3 opener ''Five Faces of Darkness'', Glory decides it's finally time to upgrade her body from sparkling to full adult, taking the form of an F-14 Tomcat.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: Blitzwing, in response to Galvatron's threat to have Glory dismantled before his eyes:
-->'''Blitzwing''': "Don't. You. Dare."
* TheStarscream: Subverted -- Glory wants to overthrow Galvatron, but only to get rid of a terrible leader rather than to take power for herself. That doesn't stop other Decepticons from accusing her of this, even bringing up comparisons to the TropeNamer himself.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Ghost'']]

* BodySurf: Starscream's modus operandi. By the end of the story he's possessed Cyclonus, Motormaster, and even [[spoiler: Glory herself]]. He's not the only one -- [[spoiler: Skywarp]] gets in on the action, though he only possesses one person.
* HorrorDoesntSettleForSimpleTuesday: The events of this story take place on Halloween, though the Decepticons aren't aware of the date's significance.

[[folder:''Soundwave's Echo'']]

* ParentalSubstitute: The eight rescued Decepticon sparklings each come under the care of one or more adults. Specifically:
** Glory and Blitzwing, now a couple, have become guardians to Swift.
** Soundwave becomes one to Echo, unwillingly at first but eventually accepting it; this pair become the focus of the story.
** Swindle agrees to care for Firebolt. His commander Onslaught becomes guardian to Hornet.
** Nightwatch, a former neutral, takes in Stardust.
** Motormaster and the Stunticons care for Ricochet.
** Hook and the Constructicons get Lancer.
** Skywarp's parents Stormrunner and Wavebreaker adopt Valiant.
* YouCanTalk: Echo's reaction to Ravage communicating with him via radio for the first time. Ravage's excuse for not speaking before is that he didn't have anything to say.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:''The Power and the Glory'']]

* AdaptationalVillainy: [[spoiler: Springer, an Autobot introduced during the events of "The Movie", turns out to be the leader of the extremist anti-Decepticon group the Knights of Cybertron.]]
* BigShutUp: Or rather, big "'''Quiet.'''" from Soundwave in chapter 2, breaking up a fight between the Combaticons and Stunticons. Motormaster gets one in Chapter 1 when his teammates' chatter is interrupting a racing broadcast.
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: The Knights of Cybertron believe that the only good Decepticon is a dead Decepticon, and are willing to go to tremendous extremes to carry out their mission.
* ChairmanOfTheBrawl: A fight breaks out between the Combaticons and Stunticons in chapter 2, including Motormaster breaking a chair over Onslaught's head.
* GreatEscape: Galvatron tries it. And fails. [[spoiler: At first. He's later broken out as the Knights of Cybertron launch a major attack on Polyhex, which is mostly populated by Decepticons.]]
* HappilyAdopted: Updraft, by Knock Out and Breakdown after Knock Out found her as a sparkling in stasis.
* HonoraryUncle: Swift views Astrotrain and Swindle as these.
* HouseHusband: Blitzwing has ended up as one, staying at home with Swift while Glory works. Admittedly, he uses it as more of an excuse to sit around and play video games all day, but he ''does'' take good care of Swift while doing so.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis:
** Vortex, while interrogating a Quintesson (who believes their kind are the rightful masters of all Transformers, whom they supposedly created as slaves):
-->'''Vortex''': "We. Are. Not. Property."
** Galvatron, to Glory while holding her captive:
-->'''Galvatron''': "I... am... Megatron."
* SinsOfOurFathers: There are those who would punish or exile [[spoiler: Updraft just for having been created by Starscream, out of suspicion that she shares his treacherous tendencies; Stormrunner also holds a grudge against her because of Starscream's role in Skywarp's death]]. Glory, fortunately, is among those who decides to overlook [[spoiler: Updraft]]'s parentage and focus on her personal capabilities.
* SpinOffspring: [[spoiler: Updraft, a new Seeker introduced here, is Starscream's daughter, created and left in stasis before the ''Nemesis'' left on its mission that left Optimus and Megatron's crews in stasis on Earth, and rescued when Knock Out discovered the lab with her pod in it some ages later.]]
* TrulySingleParent: [[spoiler:Starscream created Updraft without a partner, just a key to Vector Sigma.]]
* WhamLine: In-universe, Galvatron's reveal to Glory that he used to be Megatron. Later, he informs Glory that his change was because of Unicron, and he wasn't the only one -- [[spoiler: "Thundercracker... became... Scourge."]]
** In chapter 7:
-->'''Stormrunner''': [[spoiler: "Updraft's not just any Seeker, Glory," ... "She's the daughter of Air Commander Starscream."]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Lost Boys'']]

* AbusiveParents: Hightower, Blitzwing's creator, ''and how''. One of the worst aspects, as far as Blitzwing is concerned, is that Hightower took the one choice he had about his future away from him -- Blitzwing wanted to become a Seeker in his adult chassis, but Hightower forced him to undergo an experimental upgrade into a triple-changer instead.
* CallingTheOldManOut: Blitzwing did this with his creator Hightower shortly before boarding the ''Nemesis'' and leaving on the mission that would end in their crashing on Earth, basically letting him have it for everything he ever did to Blitzwing (''especially'' forcing him into becoming a triple-changer instead of a Seeker) and disowning him as his creator.

* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler: Chapter 8 has Swift confront her stalker when he approaches her again after she's had a really bad day, and demand to know who he is and why he's been following her. He answers with "My name is Terminus," ... "And... I am your father."]]
* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated: In chapter 8, Swift confronts her stalker and finally learns his identity, along with the fact that he's someone she'd long thought was dead, while ''he'' thought the same about her until he saw her in the art museum in Iacon in chapter 2 and recognized her. [[spoiler: Specifically, he's her long-lost spark-father.]]
* StalkerWithoutACrush: Three times, during the first seven chapters, Swift realizes she's being watched by a strange silver mech, a Decepticon tankformer. In chapter 8, he's revealed as [[spoiler: Terminus, her long-lost father, who apologizes for giving her the wrong impression and says that "I didn't know what I was going to say, only that I had to see you one more time, and learn what kind of femme you had become."]]
