''Fusion Of Destinies'' is a Metroid and Harry Potter crossover. In it, a mysterious woman is found on the grounds of Hogwarts and is taken in by Dumbledore. Lacking any memory of her identity, but too dangerous to simply roam free, this woman remains at the school as a groundskeeper. But as Harry's fifth year occurs, mysterious events behind the scenes reveal a grave threat from beyond Earth's stars that the timid "Sam" may be intimately familiar with. 5!!''Fusion Of Destinies'' has examples of the following tropes:
* BatmanGambit: [[spoiler: Surprisingly Voldemort. He uses the time spell to get the remaining X Parasites, knowing that once the X are revealed no one would think he did it because he isn't known for using anything Muggle related.]]
* CallBack: In order to save Harry's life from X Parasite infestation, [[VideoGame/MetroidFusion Samus injects Harry with her DNA, which contains Metroid DNA.]]
* ChekhovsGunman: The HP-X's existence plays a key role in [[spoiler:the X breaking free of Voldemort's control, specifically in that it inherited his obsession with maintaining his free will.]]
%%* EvilTwin: The HP-X is this to Harry.
* RedHerring: Voldemort seems to be the villain responsible for bringing the X back in time, but Snape vehemently denies this, saying that Voldemort would have told him the plan if he was going to do it.
** [[spoiler: Subverted, as Voldemort really is the one responsible.]]
* SociallyAwkwardHero: Samus, considering her upbringing, often has a hard time connecting with other humans and their social norms. It was the one aspect of her personality that remained intact while amnesiac outside her thirst for knowledge, manifesting in her being incredibly timid around most students and staff members.
* TimeTravel: The cause of the inciting incident. There is a spell that is capable of viewing and taking anything from the future. The catch is that the spell also brings back whoever or whatever is capable of fully understanding and countering said thing. Hence why Samus (along with her gunship and the animals) get dragged to 1990s Earth when the space capsule of X Parasites is taken.

!!''Fusion Of Destinies 2: Day Of Reckoning'' has examples of the following tropes:
* AndShowItToYou: [[spoiler:Valerie rips Rodolphus Lestrange's heart out and tosses it at a shocked Bellatrix's feet.]]
* BadassNormal: JB Granger full stop. He points a gun to Voldemort's face, and successfully threatens him into giving Harry and Samus vital information regarding Valencia.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: During the siege of Washington DC, Harry and Bellatrix are forced to ride around the city in a car, and when Bellatrix has to take the wheel, she makes all sorts of mistakes because she doesn't know a thing about driving.
* EnemyMine: Voldemort and the Death Eaters (begrudgingly) agree to work with Harry and Samus in order to defeat Valerie.
%%* EmpoweredBadassNormal: [[spoiler: Petunia once she is infused with magic.]]
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: [[spoiler:Bellatrix is genuinely shocked and enraged when Valerie kills her husband.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Fenrir Greyback is just as disgusted as the protagonists for what [[spoiler:Umbridge and Scrimgeor]] did to Valerie when she was a child.
* PoweredArmor: Harry, Hermione, and Ron each get a set when they join Samus on the hunt for the Chozo superweapon.
** At one point, Bellatrix suggests searching for Salazar Slytherin's armor so that Voldemort can use it. Samus dismisses such an idea, [[spoiler:which turns out for the best as the ending reveals that Salazar Slytherin is still alive.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: Voldemort spends a good chunk of the story being made a fool of due to being placed in several situations he doesn't understand. Then, Inferno attacks Hogwarts, and Voldemort ''erupts'' from the decay heap!
* WeCanRuleTogether: Inferno ''really'' wants Harry and his friends to join them.
