1[[quoteright:350:]] [[ Code Prime - R1: Rebellion]] is a fanfic by [[ Ironn117Prime]]. It is a FusionFic between ''Anime/CodeGeass'' and ''Franchise/{{Transformers}}''."Lelouch Vi Britannia made a vow to destroy the Holy Empire of Britannia and create a peaceful world with for his sister Nunnally. However, he will soon learn that while he has gained valuable allies he will face an enemy far more evil than Britannia could ever hope to be. Battle lines are drawn as two wars collide into one."----!!''Code Prime - R1: Rebellion'' provides examples of:* AdaptationalModesty: The first scene of C.C. in Lelouch's house, specifically the one where she decides to sleep in Lelouch's bed (and forces him to sleep on the couch) implies that she isn't wearing anything under her straight jacket. Here, she IS wearing some underwear (which doesn't cover much, if the narration is anything to go by).* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Optimus offers one to [[spoiler: Suzaku after the later chooses to return to his court-martial in the hopes of being acquitted and then working to reform Britannia from within]].-->'''Optimus''': [[spoiler: You say that Britannia can change for the better; what if you go down this path... [[InherentInTheSystem and you're wrong]]]]?** Notably, [[spoiler: Suzaku doesn't really have a response for this, instead stating he has to hope that he's right. And it's notable that Optimus' question still affects him, given his reaction to the Emperor's speech in Chapter 7]].* BeneathTheMask: Optimus stands out as being one of the few people who sees through Lelouch's ''right from the beginning'', realizing that the boy is a good person beneath all of the issues he has.** That being said, Optimus is also able to recognize Lelouch's flaws, which most of his followers never really noticed in canon.* BlatantLies: [[spoiler: Megatron]] tells [[spoiler: Cornelia]] that Optimus was lying about the Decepticons being evil.* BrokenMasquerade: [[spoiler: The Autobots cease attempting to be robots in disguise in Chapter 5, instead deciding to make their existence public so as to help show the masses that Britannia can be beaten]].* TheCameo: [[VisualNovel/CodeGeassLostColors Rai]], or at least several photos of him, show up in a Code R Lab in Chapter 4. He joins the main story a few chapters later and ends up becoming one of the Black Knights [[spoiler: due to seeing Lelouch while the latter was still wearing his Zero outfit]] (granted, Rai wanted to join anyway).* CarFu: A viable tactic when said car is the alternative form of a robotic being made of metals stronger than any on Earth, as several purists find out the hard way. * CharacterDevelopment: Lelouch's is veering slightly away from what it took in cannon, thanks in part to Optimus. See PositiveFriendInfluence for more details.* ContinuityNod: The fanfic is a crossover with the ''Transformers Aligned'' '''Continuity''', and it certainly lives up to it:** The opening is clearly based on the final (and by extension, first) mission of ''VideoGame/TransformersFallOfCybertron''.** [[WesternAnimation/TransformersRobotsInDisguise Fixit]] is a member of the Ark Crew.** Megatron has already been fused with Dark Energon in this timeline, which was the case in ''Fall of Cybertron'', as opposed to only just having discovered it at the start of ''Transformers Prime''. The first chapter also directly has him reference being crushed by Metroplex. * CurbStompBattle: Happens in Chapter 5, [[spoiler: when the Autobots and Zero free Suzaku from Britannia]]. To add insult to injury, [[spoiler: the Autobots win without even killing a single Purist]].* EveryoneHasStandards: All of the Autobots, even the ones who distrust Lelouch, are ''disgusted'' when they learn what Charles did to him when the boy confronted his father over his mother's death.** Lelouch, in turn, vetoes the idea of using the Autobots' Ground Bridge to got to Pendragon and assassinate his father, as the chaos that would result would probably cause the world to burn.* {{Foil}}: ** Bumblebee finds Lelouch similar to ''Soundwave'' of all bots - both are master planners who pretty much obliterate their competition with well thought out strategies. Lelouch, in turn, upon learning of Soundwave, compares him to both himself and Schneizel. Of course, Soundwave was a low-ranked gladiator in the past while Lelouch and Schneizel were born privileged royals who are anything but fighters.** It's lampshaded by the Autobots how similar Lelouch is to Megatron and Suzaku is to Optimus. However, Optimus is a great deal more pragmatic than Suzaku, who is more idealistic and can't immediately comprehend that some people just won't change for the better. Lelouch may be similar to Megatron, but unlike Megs, he can feel compassion, empathy, and form strong bonds with others while Megatron is a sociopath that only sees others as tools to achieve his goals. In addition, their origins are almost polar opposite from their comparisons. Lelouch was a Royal Britannian while Megatron was a low-class gladiator. Suzaku is an "11" turned "Honorary Britannian" while Optimus was a high-class archivist. * ForWantOfANail: ** Due to Optimus being present at the Shinjuku Memorial and later witnessing the Lancelot fighting the Purebloods and [[spoiler: the Seekers]], Lelouch learns that Suzaku is the pilot of the Lancelot significantly earlier than in canon.* FusionFic: Between Aligned continuity of ''Transformers'' and Code Geass. Among other things, it's confirmed that Sakuradite and Energon are synonymous and the Decepticons are the ones behind the Britannian Empire.* HistoryRepeats: The main conflict in this story comes down to two battles between former best friends, one an IdealHero, the other a [[TheChessmaster Chessmaster]], over how to fix a corrupt society. In an interesting twist, though, it is the human chessmaster who is paired with the Cybertronian idealist.* ImportedAlienPhlebotinum: In this story, Sakuradite is actually another name for energon, which also explains how Britannia knows where to find most of it - Megatron gave them the locations, in exchange for a cut of the Sakuradite.* InSpiteOfANail: Whilst the presence of the Autobots [[spoiler: ensures the survival of both the Yamato Alliance and the civilians of Saitama]], Lelouch still ends up [[spoiler: almost being found out by Cornelia and requiring external aid to escape]].* {{InternalReveal}}: [[spoiler: In Chapter 7, Soundwave learns that Lelouch is Zero as well as a thought dead prince of Britannia and tells Megatron, who decides to keep this information secret from both Charles and his crew.]]* ItAmusedMe: C.C.'s justification for going swimming outside the Ark, which is currently at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean: she was particularly bored at that moment.* LateArrivalSpoiler: The first chapter reveals that the boy we see with Charles in ''Code Geass'' is his young brother, V.V.....[[AccidentallyCorrectWriting and also correctly predicted his name to be Victor...]]* LetsYouAndHimFight: Megatron mostly ignores Britannia beyond assisting Charles with finding Energon because he wants the humans to find Optimus, and believes that backing Britannia is the most effective method of doing so - he knows Optimus won't allow innocents to be subjected to the cruelty Britannia practices on a daily basis and is waiting for Prime to take a stand. [[spoiler: Optimus finally obliges during Chapter 5, to Megatron's delight]].* TheMentor: WordOfGod has confirmed that Optimus will be this toward Lelouch. [[LikeFatherLikeSon Megatron is one for Charles.]]* MythologyGag: ** In addition to the cast from Prime, Ironhide is a member of the crew of the ''Ark'', as was the case in Generation 1. Similarly, Skywarp and Thundercracker are part of the ''Nemesis'' Crew.** Optimus' ArmorPiercingQuestion to [[spoiler:Suzaku]] is a deliberate reference to his question to the Secretary of Defense in ''Film/TransformersRevengeOfTheFallen''.** [[spoiler: Megatron allying with Cornelia by claiming that Optimus was spreading slander about the Decepticons]] is clearly a reference to ''Film/{{Bumblebee}}'', where Dropkick and Shatter do the same.* {{Nerdgasm}}: Lloyd's reaction to seeing Cybertronians in their robot forms is...interesting, to say the least.* NotHisSled: Lelouch does not throw Kallen off by having a Geassed Sayoko play a recording of him to the girl. Instead, he has Bumblebee do it.* NotSoDifferent:** Team Prime realizes that Lelouch could easily walk down Megatron's path, given his beliefs. Similarly, Optimus finds quite a few similarities between Suzaku and his pre-war self.** Kallen is this to Arcee, as both are badass female members of their respective organizations who have lost people they cared about.* NotSoStoic: Even Tohdoh is absolutely stunned in Chapter 5 when [[spoiler: the Autobots make their existence public]].* OffTheRails: Considering that [[spoiler: the Autobots reveal their presence on global television in Chapter 5, irrevocably abandoning their normal 'Robots in Disguise' strategy]], this is definitely in play.* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: [[CloudCuckooLander Lloyd]] is [[StunnedSilence completely speechless]] when he sees Bumblebee transform from his car form into robot mode.* PositiveFriendInfluence: It's subtle, but Optimus' presence is beginning to rub off on Lelouch. In canon after dealing with the [[spoiler: Refrain, Lelouch just let Kallen's mother serve jail time. Here he uses his Geass to not only make sure she doesn't serve time but to arrange for her and Kallen to live in an apartment, away from Kallen's cruel stepmother. [[NotHisSled And, instead of Bulkhead using himself as bait to lure out the Scraplets, Lelouch uses his Sutherland instead]].]]* PuppetState: The Autobots think Britannia is one to the Decepticons. The truth is slightly more complex - Megatron did help get Charles and [[spoiler: V.V.]] into power, but Charles clearly has ambitions of his own.* PutOnABus: All of the Autobots on the ''Ark'' besides Optimus, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Arcee, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, Ironhide, and Fixit were thrown off the ship while it hurtles toward Earth, leaving them stuck indefinitely in the cold void of space.* PragmaticAdaptation: In order to justify Megatron acting as a mentor to Charles, the Exodus from Cybertron is bumped up from happening during the Mesozoic to approximately fifty years before the start of the story.* ReactionShot: A whole bunch of these during chapter 5 when [[spoiler: Zero and the Autobots reveal themselves]]. Suffice to say, everyone is stunned senseless.* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: Bulkhead and Tamaki do this, in response to Scraplets (Bulkhead) and Spiders (Tamaki).* SeamlessSpontaneousLie: Lelouch's cover for Bumblebee? Lelouch bought him using the money he got from gambling. Given the façade he normally puts on, it doesn't take much for everyone else to believe him.* ShadowArchetype: Megatron is one to Lelouch - whilst both are incredible commanders with a penchant for the dramatic, Lelouch is still capable of traits like empathy and kindness and is motivated by a desire to create a better world for his sister. Megatron, in contrast, is a power-hungry, [[TheSociopath sociopathic]] tyrant who fights solely for his own power. Megatron represents both the likely future Lelouch would've had if he was still a part of the Royal Family and a potential future for Lelouch if the prince loses sight of what he's fighting for.* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[WordOfGod The author has explicitly stated he has no plans to kill Shirley off at any point in this story. He's also confirmed Cliffjumper will be alive, at least for the immediate future.]]** The end-of-chapter notes for ''Diverging and Intersecting Paths'' adds [[spoiler: Euphie]] to the list of people the author intends to spare.* ThouShaltNotKill: {{Downplayed}}. Optimus is relaxing the rules due to the fact Britannia has the technology to fight the Autobots on equal footing, plus some of the Britannians being just as evil as the Decepticons. [[WouldNotShootACivilian Civilians are still off-limits.]]* TheUnintelligible: Bumblebee, as has become the standard practice of late. For the sake of the audience, whatever he says is bracketed, letting us now it is something only other Cybertronians can understand. Lelouch eventually gets an earpiece to translate what the Autobot scout says. C.C. can perfectly understand him, much to everyone's shock.* UnskilledButStrong: Suzaku, for now - he has a highly advanced Knightmare frame and incredible sync rate, but that will only go so far against opponents (e.g. the Autobots) who have been fighting for '''longer than he has been alive.'''* WhatTheHellAreYou: Pretty much '''[[UpToEleven the entire world]]''' has this reaction to [[spoiler:the Autobots revealing themselves when Zero frees Suzaku]].* WhatTheHellHero: The Autobots give Lelouch this [[spoiler: following the Battle at Saitama, bluntly telling him that war ''isn't'' a game]].* WrongContextMagic: The Codes and the Geasses that Code Bearers can give people are not something the Cybertronians have any familiarity with, despite having some magical powers/artifacts of their own. Additionally, they have no effect whatsoever on Cybertronians. This appears to be because Cybertronians' sparks vastly outclass Geass in terms of power.----
