->''Princess Lucette has been reliving the same months of her life for 10 years. Inspired by the counsel of a fairy, she tries to live out the balance needed to sustain the Crystallum—the source of magic itself—while under a curse. Will she succeed, stopping the cycle and saving the lives of her friends and family, or will she fail once more and awaken as the cycle repeats?''

----
!!''And Around Again – A Cinderella Phenomenon Tale'' provides examples of:

* AbusiveParents: Hildyr is that, just like in canon.
* AintTooProudToBeg: In Chapter 38, [[spoiler:Mythros]] is noted to "frantically plead with" Lucette and Waltz in return for [[spoiler:being released from the statue Lucette turned him into.]]
* AscendedExtra:
** Lord Decimond was TheGhost in the original game. Here, he is an ally for Lucette [[spoiler:who takes Mythros's place as Royal Advisor.]]
** See NamedByTheAdaptation.
** The Witch who tracked mud into the Marchen, [[OnlyKnownByTheirNickname known as "Witch Muddy-Shoes"]] is notable for two appearances in canon. Tracking mud into the Marchen and distracting the criminals in Fritz's route. In this story, she is a recurring character.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis:
** Invoked. In order for Lucette to use her foreknowledge without giving away that she's in a timeloop she makes it look like she has this. A good example comes from Chapter 5 where Rod chooses not to withhold that Fritz remembers Lucette and Lucette cites all the implications that comes from Fritz remembering her as a way to warn Rod that Alcaster can't be trusted.
** However, it is also played straight. Lucette is the one to figure out why the timeloops are happening before she finds the evidence that proves her right.
* BeyondRedemption: He is given a chance, but it is ultimately determined that [[spoiler:Myth]] is truly impossible to redeem.
* BreakTheCutie: Emelaigne is put through the ringer through this story. First, she witnesses a [[spoiler:human trafficking ring]] while on an inspection with Lucette. Next, she witnesses [[spoiler:an assassination attempt that specifically targeted Lucette's unborn child.]] Lastly, she is [[spoiler:kidnapped by Alcaster's forces in his attempt to start a civil war. Unfortunately, this ends in a KillTheCutie when some Redarms defect to rescue her and she is caught in the crossfire.]]
* CharacterDevelopment:
** As noted under FantasticRacism and YouAreACreditToYourRace, just as in canon King Genaro starts off the story believing that all witches are evil and naively trusting Mythros and Alcaster. That is a point of view that Lucette seeks to change. [[spoiler:By Chapter 50, Genaro admits that he was wrong about witches and his advisors since Alcaster tried to kill him while Maeve and Runia saved his life.]]
** Lucette sees Emelaigne as [[GoodIsDumb too innocent for her own good]] and tries to ground her in reality so she will not be manipulated or hurt. [[spoiler:Emelaigne handles the human trafficking ring and the assassination attempt poorly. However, in Chapter 51 Ophelia admits that Emelaigne [[DefiantToTheEnd stayed strong in Alcaster's captivity]] citing Lucette as the influence. Later, Rom goes into detail on how she openly resisted Alcaster the entire time she was kidnapped.]]
** Karma undergoes significant development in the final cycle. [[spoiler:By discussing Hildyr's motivations in making the deal with Chaos he gets Lucette to realize that Hildyr only cared about making herself look justified in the end with no regard for Lucette's feelings. This revelation nearly drives Lucette to corruption before she is saved by Nieva. Seeing that his actions nearly cost Lucette her life turns Karma into TheAtoner.]]
** Parfait. Plenty of her interactions show her [[ItsAllMyFault remaining self-reproachful]] for her inaction during the Witch Hunts. Her continuous wallowing leaves her rather unhelpful when [[spoiler:she has to restore the Crystallum Lucis.]] Lucette and [[spoiler:Order]] call her out on her self-loathing doing more harm than good. [[spoiler:Fortunately, Parfait's morale is improved by becoming the godmother of Lucette and Waltz's child and by seeing Lucette defeat the corruption. This allows her to finally restore the Crystallum Lucis.]] By the end of the story, [[spoiler:Parfait is restored to prime physical condition by the gods and is given a second chance to do the right thing by getting fairies to join the churches again.]]
* ChekhovsGun: Early in the story, Lucette asks Parfait to provide her with a knife for self-defense and later finds one on the desk in her room. [[spoiler:The knife Lucette found is actually the gauge for how much she's suffered compared to Hildyr and the contract with Chaos is written on it.]]
* CycleOfRevenge: [[spoiler:In the past, when Myth and his sister were children during the Witch Hunts they asked Woodsman Garver for shelter and he let them hide in his barn. But when the mob came by looking for them Garver sold them out so the mob wouldn't turn on him or his family. As a result, Myth's sister died while Myth escaped. Myth and Hildyr came back years later, Hildyr took revenge by cursing Garver and Myth took revenge by raping his daughter. In the cycles where Garver's curse kills all of his family members he attempts to [[RevengeByProxy assassinate Lucette]]. Although, he is also targeting Myth, he just can't find Myth due to his glamour.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: Lucette.
* DealWithTheDevil: In this case Chaos. [[spoiler:Hildyr makes a deal with Chaos, which allowed her to enter the Tenebrarum in a stasis and get a chance to get released by Lucette.]]
* DisproportionateRetribution: One of Hildyr's crimes against humanity is [[spoiler:a [[SubvertedTrope subversion]] surprisingly enough. Chaos claims that the priest cursed to be a dragon who is hidden in the temple's basement was a [[FantasticRacism Fantastic Racist]] who is primarily responsible for witches being unable to seek sanctuary with the priests during the Witch Hunt. So, for once, Hildyr gave him exactly what he had coming.]]
* DoWithHimAsYouWill:
** In Chapter 47, Lucette [[spoiler:lets Woodsman Garver take his revenge on Myth by pushing over the statue [[TakenForGranite he was turned into.]]]]
** In Chapter 54, Lucette [[spoiler:learns that Alcaster was responsible for the human-trafficking ring, and that Rom's sister was a victim who got sold before she could be rescued. As a result, Lucette gives Rom the right to execute Alcaster.]]
** In Chapter 58, [[spoiler:Lucettte gives Fritz the right to execute Myth.]]
* DyingDeclarationOfLove: In Chapter 53, [[spoiler:Rom tells of how as Emelaigne was dying she mistook him for Fritz and declared her love for him. Rom chose to [[LetThemDieHappy pretend to be Fritz and requite her feelings so she could die happy.]]]]
* ExactWords: Invoked. Lucette deliberately uses this so she can get out of her deal with Myth.
* FantasticRacism: Just like in canon, the Fairytales and Hildyr have given witches a bad name for humanity. In this fanfiction it is given greater focus as Lucette actively tries to change the public opinion on witches in general through her actions. This aspect of King Genaro's character is also more highly focused on with Lucette trying to change his mind about witches in general. [[spoiler:In Chapter 50, he changes his mind.]]
* FateWorseThanDeath: Invoked and Lampshaded. In Chapter 33 [[spoiler:Lucette turns Mythros into a statue and leaves him hidden in the Tenebrarum's chamber.]] Waltz and Lucette reflect on this in Chapter 34 and note that [[MercyKill death would have been merciful.]]
* GreyAndGrayMorality: Discussed. Lucette tells Emelaigne that very few people are unambiguously good or evil.
* GodIsGood: [[spoiler:Order and Chaos are fair, just and generous gods. They have an active role in helping Lucette stop the cycles by giving her advice and favors. They also actively work to prevent the Witch Hunts and the Great War from happening again.]]
* GodOfOrder / GodOfChaos: Canon shows that the world of Cinderella Phenomenon was polytheistic, this fanfiction names the gods Order and Chaos (no points for guessing their Spheres of Influence). [[spoiler:Their influence is why the cycles are happening.]]
* GoodCopBadCop: The title of Chapter 9 is Good Fairy/'Bad' Witch, and Nurturing Hope. The chapter features Lucette lampshading that Parfait and Delora are utilizing the GoodCopBadCop routine against her.
* GroundhogDayLoop: This happens to Lucette, when she repeats every six months over and over again. [[spoiler:It only starts to change when she gets pregnant in the end of one cycle and doesn't physically reset. This also points her to the first hint about 'why' the cycling happens in the first place.]]
* HappilyAdopted: In the final cycle, [[spoiler:Delora adopts Nieva.]]
* HappilyMarried: Lucette and Waltz. [[spoiler:Later, Regius proposes to Delora and she accepts. The story ends on Emelaigne and Fritz's wedding day.]]
* InternalReveal: Whenever Lucette tells anyone about the time cycles.
* IWantGrandkids: This is the reason [[spoiler:Genaro]] gives for why they won't intervene [[spoiler:when Fritz and Emelaigne start a romantic relationship.]]
* KarmicJackpot: At the start of the story, Lucette makes an effort to be nicer to Emelaigne before being cursed without looking too suspicious. As a result, Rod decides to be less spiteful and more trusting to Lucette. He doesn't withhold information about Fritz remembering her and he listens to her suspicions about Alcaster.
* KilledOffForReal: The DeathIsCheap trope is in play for most of the story because the timeloops reset everything. But once the final cycle comes around death becomes permanent. This ultimately happens to [[spoiler:Alcaster, Myth, Runia, and Woodsman Garver.]]
* LaughingMad: [[spoiler:Mythros]] is reduced to this after having been [[spoiler:trapped in a stone statue while remaining completely conscious and left isolated.]]
* LikeBrotherAndSister: After much of the cycling, Lucette comes to see Fritz in this manner. [[spoiler:By the final cycle Fritz agrees that they're better off this way and he starts a romantic relationship with Emelaigne.]]
* LiteralDisarming: This is how [[spoiler:Alcaster]] ends up being defeated by [[spoiler:Fritz.]]
* LoopholeAbuse: In canon, it was declared that for a witch to kill a human is taboo. Here, more specificity is given about how it only counts if magic is used to directly kill a human. Using a physical weapon or magically assisting indirectly to allow others to kill an opponent does not violate the rule.
* MagicallyBindingContract: The promises between witches and fairies. [[spoiler:These contracts even survive the resetting so both parts can remember the deal struck.]]
* MamaBear: [[spoiler:Lucette really kicks off her commitment to breaking the cycle when she realizes that the reset may erase her then unborn child.]]
* MouthOfSauron: A non-villainous example. [[spoiler:Chaos]] delivers an important message to Lucette through a neophyte [[spoiler:to help her successfully fulfill her contract.]] And [[spoiler:Lucette]] acts as this for [[spoiler:Order, who calls Parfait out for wallowing in her self-pity instead of helping. Order also uses Lucette to threaten the high priests of Order and Chaos with destruction if they do not restore church membership to Witches and Fairies.]]
* NamedByTheAdaptation: The Witch Doctor was TheGhost in canon with NoNameGiven. In the fanfiction, she is named Runia and she plays a major role as one of Lucette's allies.
* NeverMyFault: To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Hildyr. [[spoiler:When being dragged to Order and Chaos to answer for her crimes]] she insists that she is not at fault, and that Lucette is to blame for "betraying" her. [[spoiler:Chaos]] calls her out on this.
* OffWithHisHead: This is how [[spoiler:Fritz executes Myth]] in Chapter 58.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: The witch who tracked mud into the Marchen is referred to as "Witch Muddy-Shoes" by Lucette. [[spoiler:Chaos reveals her name is Vanessa.]]
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Everyone notices whenever Lucette is nicer at early points in the cycles. The majority of the cast is constantly surprised by these moments.
* OriginalCharacter: Characters that were not in canon become a part of this story. Most of them are Lucette's new allies. These include: Maeve, Sir Willard, [[spoiler:[[DefectorFromDecadence Rom]]]], Nieva, [[spoiler:fairies from other kingdoms who bear a Crystallum Lucis, and witches from other kingdoms who bear a Crystallum Tenebrarum.]]
* RedemptionEarnsLife: Discussed and Invoked. Lucette recognizes that some of the cursed people were cursed for instructional purposes like she was. Therefore, when her ability to lift curses manifests she is selective in who she heals so that the appropriate individuals can undergo this trope. And as a major plot point, [[spoiler:Mythros]] is cursed by Lucette and told that they will only be free when they have truly repented. [[spoiler:[[RedemptionRejection Mythros fails.]]]]
* SadisticChoice: In Lucette's efforts to resolve the cycling she is forced to make plenty of these. Another example comes from Ophelia in Chapter 51 when [[spoiler:she recounts being forced by Alcaster to allow his forces entrance to Fort Summerfell with the threat of him killing Emelaigne if she refused. Emelaigne encouraged Ophelia not to cave into Alcaster's demands. And Ophelia ultimately chooses to warn the Fort instead so that Alcaster will not slaughter the citizens.]]
* SettleForSibling: Lucette is aware of Fritz's feelings for her after all the cycling. But she politely declines his feeling and encourages him to pursue a romance with Emelaigne, who is clearly interested in him. [[spoiler:The story ends with Emelaigne and Fritz getting married.]]
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Nieva. She is [[spoiler:Myth's daughter and Woodsman Garver's grandaughter.]] In any cycles where she dies [[spoiler:Garver attempts to [[RevengeByProxy assassinate Lucette since Hildyr's curse is what kills Nieva.]]]] In the final cycle, she prove to be instrumental in [[spoiler:rescuing Lucette from corruption.]]
* SpeakInUnison: Invoked and PlayedForLaughs. In Chapter 29, Lucette does this to mess with Delora while the two of them are meeting Rumpel.
* StrikeMeDownWithAllOfYourHatred: In Chapter 58, Lucette realizes that [[spoiler:Myth]] is trying to corrupt her by goading her into killing them. [[spoiler:It doesn't work. Lucette lets Fritz kill him.]]
* TakenForGranite: [[spoiler:Lucette turns Mythros into a statue in Chapter 33. He can only escape if he truly repents.]]
* {{Troll}}: Lucette uses her foreknowledge as a way to annoy Delora in early parts of the story.
* XanatosGambit: The plan made by Hildyr [[spoiler:in her deal with Chaos. The specification that Lucette must bring Hildyr to the Throne of the Gods means that Lucette has no way out of the cycles since the period between her eighteenth birthday and the reset point is too little for Lucette to earn her magic and use it to carry the Crystallum Tenebrarum to Order and Chaos. Hildyr meant for this to force Lucette to escape the cycles by giving into corruption. It is noted that Hildyr would have considered this a win regardless of whether Lucette freed her or killed her. Turning Lucette into an EmptyShell in Waltz's bad ending was also meant to force Lucette into corruption in the coming cycles. [[SubvertedTrope However,]] Lucette becoming pregnant forced the Crystallum Tenebrarum to preserve her age through the reset. Thus allowing Lucette to have both the power and enough time to make the journey. Additionally, Nieva becomes a SpannerInTheWorks by saving Lucette from the corruption. And the gods were on Lucette's side the whole time.]]
* WhatTheHellHero:
** In Chapter 1, Lucette subtly calls King Genaro out on his FantasticRacism, placing focus on the fact that Genaro did not reward Waltz for his part in defeating Hildyr.
** In Chapter 9, Lucette calls Parfait and Delora out on trying to manipulate her with the GoodCopBadCop routine. Special attention is given to Delora playing Bad Cop, with Lucette pointing out that acting like a {{Jerkass}} [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold (even if she really isn't)]] goes against her claims of wanting to help.
* WorthyOpponent: Alcaster comes to see Lucette as this in the timelines where she is primarily responsible for his defeat.
* WouldHurtAChild: It's revealed that Witch children were slaughtered in the Witch Hunts out of paranoia. [[spoiler:And Lucette's pregnancy does not keep her enemies from targeting her.]]
* YouAreACreditToYourRace: King Genaro carries a negative mindset of witches in general because of his experiences with Hildyr. However, it is made clear that he still loves Lucette despite her witch heritage and he accepts Waltz as Lucette's lover because Waltz helped save the kingdom from Hildyr. Lucette does recognize that with this mindset King Genaro is still dedicated to his FantasticRacism. Thus, she works to try to change his mind. [[spoiler:In Chapter 50, he changes his mind.]]
