3'''Kel Johari Rice Mitchell''' (born August 25, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American actor, comedian and rapper. He first became well-known for his role as a cast member on the Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} sketch comedy show ''Series/AllThat''. His character Ed became popular enough to be given a spin-off film, ''Film/GoodBurger''. He also starred in ''Series/KenanAndKel'' with his ''All That'' co-star Creator/KenanThompson. The comic duo parted ways after that series' cancellation but reunited in 2015 for a sketch on ''Series/TheTonightShowStarringJimmyFallon''. 17!!Tropes:
18* AttentionDeficitCreatorDisorder: For three years, he and Kenan were regulars on two Nickelodeon shows and also made ''Good Burger'' during the same time period.
19* ReportsOfMyDeathWereGreatlyExaggerated: In 2006, a rumor on Website/MySpace stated that he had died. Mitchell was later quoted as saying, “It was kind of laughable, you know what I mean? It’s laughable, but at the same time, it’s a serious matter. It’s shocking to me that someone would sit there and say someone else died.”
20* WhatCouldHaveBeen: He auditioned to be on ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'' but the producers decided to cast Kenan instead. He did eventually get to appear on the show in a sketch that reunited him with Kenan as part of a "gritty reboot" of ''Kenan & Kel''.
