!!Work contains examples of:
* AdaptationDistillation: His films have tended to be adaptations of books, and very well-received.
* CreatorsOddball:
** ''Pan'' is this compared to the rest of his films, being a big-budget PG fantasy film as opposed to a smaller-scale PeriodPiece.
** ''Hanna'' is this as well, being his only present-day {{action|Genre}} thriller so far.
* TheOner: His films tend to contain at least one notable one, the most famous being the Dunkirk beach scene in ''Atonement''.
* OscarBait: Wright seems to be in love with this trope. Some of his films got scheduled near the end of the year or were scheduled then with the intention of getting nominations.
** Subverted with ''Hanna'', which is the exact opposite of the majority of his filmography.
* ProductionPosse: Wright's posse includes:
** Creator/KeiraKnightley, the star of ''Pride and Prejudice'', ''Atonement'' and ''Film/AnnaKarenina'' - as well as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4gyZ2R_itY a perfume commercial]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctoZbeD-GlY a domestic violence PSA]] (in which Wright beats her up).

** Seamus [=McGarvey=] was the cinematographer for ''Atonement'', ''The Soloist'', ''Anna Karenina'', ''Pan'', "[[Recap/BlackMirrorNosedive Nosedive]]", a ''Series/BlackMirror'' episode Wright directed. 39** Paul Tothill has edited five of Wright's films, while his two most recent films were edited by Valerio Bonelli.
* SceneryPorn: Wiiiiiiide wide shots of gorgeous scenery and beautiful period piece set pieces full of CostumePorn are hallmarks were all praised in ''Atonement,'' ''Pride and Prejudice'', and even the less well-received ''Anna Karenina.''
