'''''Star Wars: Princess Leia''''' is a 2015 Creator/MarvelComics ''Franchise/StarWars'' mini-series. It is the first ''Star Wars'' mini-series released by Marvel following the debut of the first two ongoing ''Star Wars'' series.

Following the destruction of the Death Star, Princess Leia Organa decides to assist what remains of her people after the Empire destroyed Alderaan. Aided by a loyal royalist Alderaanian pilot named Evaan, Leia travels across the galaxy to save her people from the Empire's purge and keep what remains of her culture alive.
----
!!Tropes featured in this comic include:
* AcePilot: Evaan proves to be a very able pilot who uses a nifty trick to get Luke and Wedge to stop pursuing her and Leia's stolen shuttle.
** Luke and Wedge's technique to prevent Leia from leaving is to crowd close to the shuttle, flying in front of it so they can't go to Hyperspeed without plowing into them. They only escape due to Evaan's bluff tricking them into backing off to give them space, thinking their hyperdrive has been disabled.
* ActionGirl: Leia and Evaan and both formidable fighters in both hand-to-hand and long range combat.
* AffablyEvil: Lord Junn. He is a [[LoveableRogue Loveable Rogue]] type who [[spoiler: attempts to betray Leia, but is too squeamish to kill her himself. When she learns the truth and forces him to talk at gunpoint, he reveals that he's less interested in helping the Empire and more interested in living a life of ease (which he argues would be impossible with the Empire removed). When Leia demands a starship in exchange for his life, he does not argue, and even seems most willing to comply with her request.]]
* BatmanGambit: Evaan and R2-D2 pull one to get Luke and Wedge to back off on their pursuit of her and Leia's shuttle: having overheard them brainstorming an idea to slow down ships by flying slowly in front of them, Evaan rigged a spare critical hyperdrive part onto the outside of the shuttle that would come loose when she banged into one of their fighters. She would then let them listen in on her informing Leia about losing the part, and after they confirmed the part was legitimate and they stopped flying in front of her, jump to hyperspace.
* BigBad: Commander Dreed, the Imperial officer in charge of hunting down and exterminating the remaining Alderaanians, with Princess Leia being at the top of that list.
* BigWhat: General Dodonna lets one loose when he receives a message from Leia informing him that she has left Yavin 4 to locate and help the few Alderaanians who remain after he had forbidden her from leaving the safety of the Rebel forces.
* CanonImmigrant: A few things from the previous ''Legends'' continuity appear in this series:
** Breha Organa's history of civic service as the Queen of Alderaan.
** The trade city of Keren on Naboo appears in the second issue.
* CatchphraseInterruptus: While not her CatchPhrase per se, Leia interrupts Evaan when she's about to say "I have a bad feeling about this".
* ContinuityNod:
** #1 ends with Leia en route to Naboo, her mother's home.
** Leia and Evaan see a mural of [[Film/ThePhantomMenace Queen Padmé Amidala in her red royal garb]] on Naboo in issue #2. Leia [[Film/ReturnOfTheJedi seems to recognise her]], but she doesn't know why. She even has a brief vision of Padmé turning to look at her.
* DramaticIrony: After witnessing an argument between a pair of sisters, Leia wishes she had had a sibling she could turn to for support. Amusingly enough, two issues earlier, [[LongLostRelative Luke]] (who also thinks he has no surviving family) had told Leia that ''he'' wished she had someone she could lean on for support too.
* FantasticRacism: Jora Astane is disgusted upon discovering that the Alderaanians who settled on Espirion have interbreed with the natives, creating the mixed-species Alder-Espirions. Astane later comments that she views this a further "dilution" of the endangered Alderaanian people.
* FinalSolution: The Empire is seeking to exterminate all remaining traces of Alderaan from the galaxy, starting with its people.
* FishPeople: Admiral Ackbar briefly shows up, berating a group of human rebels who are loading up supplies during the evacuation of Yavin base for having clumsy human hands and not being able to look at more than one thing at a time.
* GenocideSurvivor: The comic covers the fate of the Alderaanian people following the destruction of their home planet.
* HonorBeforeReason: Leia sneaks off on a mission to rally her people and protect them from the Empire, despite pretty much everyone with an opinion on the matter telling her she's already got a huge target on her back and needs to lay low. [[spoiler: This includes actively working to save a group of Alderaanians who are violently opposed to coming with her, and even going out of her way to rescue an Alderaanian serving in the Imperial fleet who had previously been trying to track down and capture Leia before [[YouHaveFailedMe she fell out of favor with her superiors.]]]]
* IceQueen: Many of the rank-and-file rebels, including Evaan, view and explicitly refer to Leia as this, due to her lack of outward grief over her family and entire planet being destroyed.
* IKissYourHand: Lord Junn to both Leia ''and'' Evaan. Judging by the look on her face, Evaan is not amused.
* ImmediateSequel: The comic kicks off during and immediately after the award ceremony at the end of ''Film/ANewHope''.
* LovelyAngels: Leia and Evan are two highly capable fighters, on a mission to save the remaining people of Alderaan. A mission they set for themselves, and in Leia's case ''against'' the wishes of the other leaders of the Rebel Alliance.
* MoodWhiplash: Ackbar's scene in the first issue, where he alternates between offering his condolences to Leia about Alderaan's destruction and [[LargeHam dramatically yelling]] at Rebel soldiers.
-->'''Ackbar:''' Princess! My personal condolences on your loss, my child. Such a trage-- pardon me. '''You! Soldier! Stop dropping things! Being cursed with human hands is no excuse for clumsiness!'''
* PrisonerExchange: In Issue 4, Leia gives herself up in exchange for an Alderannian the Imperials are holding hostage.
* TheQuisling: One of the surviving Alderaanians is a [[spoiler: loyal Imperial officer]]. Naturally, Leia seeks to [[HonorBeforeReason recruit her too.]]
* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: After being forbidden to leave the safety of the rebel base or fleet by General Dodonna for fear of the Empire capturing her, Leia decides to steal a shuttle and leave anyway because she feels finding and protecting what remains of her people is more important.
* SourSupporter: Evaan to Leia. She harbors some personal dislike for Leia based on [[IceQueen her impression of Leia's apparent lack of grief over their homeworld's destruction]], but insists on giving Leia the loyalty she's entitled to as Alderaan's Queen.
* UndyingLoyalty: Evaan to the Alderaan royal family. This is why she pledges her personal loyalty to Leia even though she has reservations about how she does not seem to be properly mourning her parents and planet.
-->'''Evaan:''' I was one of the lucky Alderaanians mentored directly by your mother. She taught me much about the heritage of Alderaan. What she never taught me—what she, rather, earned—was my lifelong respect for the throne.
