The ComicBook/XMen and mutantkind have been through a lot in recent years. From an extinction level event, to constant in-fighting, to fighting against other Marvel heroes, to (another) extinction level event, to fighting against other heroes (again). But now the threats to mutantkind's existence have ended and the X-Men can now finally focus on one thing -- being heroes.

Meanwhile, after the war with the X-Men had caused them to sacrifice all their Terrigen, the Inhuman Royal Family - guided by Marvel Boy - departs on an odyssey across all creation in search for lost secrets -- and the last hope -- of their people.

In short, [=ResurrXion=] is a re-branding of both the X-Men and Inhuman lines of comics.

In November 2017, the House of X editorial feature at the back of the X books started teasing [=ResurrXion=] Phase II, which launched in February 2018 in the wake of ComicBook/PhoenixResurrection.

!! [=ResurrXion=] Provides Examples of
* TheBusCameBack: Nate Grey returns in the 2018 series, for the first substantive appearance since ComicBook/NewMutants ended in 2012, having previously had a brief cameo in one issue of Fearless Defenders, and two during flashbacks in the Metus arc of the 2017 series.
* CallBack: Kitty's nostalgic tour of the mansion seems to be directly lifted from Joss Whedon's ComicBook/AstonishingXMen, with even the same memories being invoked.
** When Ororo meets Kitty in Deerfield, they have lunch together at the same ice cream parlor where Ororo first spoke with Kitty back in Uncanny X-Men #129, Kitty's very first appearance in Marvel Comics.
* CanonImmigrant: Much like ComicBook/MilesMorales, it's revealed that from ComicBook/UltimateXMen has somehow ended up in the mainstream Marvel Universe after ComicBook/SecretWars2015. So are from the same universe.
* CoversAlwaysLie: X-Men Prime -- Rachel and Laura are no-shows and everyone still has their old uniforms and hairstyles.
* SupermanStaysOutOfGotham: This trope is defied once again, with the Jean Grey School being in the middle of New York.
* TenMinuteRetirement: Storm. She asks Kitty to come back because she's leaving. By the end of the issue, Kitty has convinced her to stay, though no longer as leader.
* WolverinePublicity:
** The cover of X-Men Prime has both both the time-displaced Logan and Wolverine on the cover. The former only appears as a static hologram in one panel, and the latter isn't around at all. Meanwhile, Inhumans Prime has Ms. Marvel prominently displayed despite only appearing in one fight.
** On the "appearing in every book" side of the trope, Old Man Logan will be appearing in three of the five team books (Gold, Weapon X, and Astonishing) in addition to his solo series.
